2Two-dimensional optical spatial differentiation and high-contrast imaging显示文摘Optical analog signal processing technology has been widely studied and applied in a variety of science and engineering fields, with the advantages of overcoming the low-speed and high-power consumption associated with its digital counterparts. Much attention has been given to emerging metasurface technology in the field of optical imaging and processing systems. Here, we demonstrate, for the first time, broadband two-dimensional spatial differentiation and high-contrast edge imaging based on a dielectric metasurface across the whole visible spectrum. This edge detection method works for both intensity and phase objects simply by inserting the metasurface into a commercial optical microscope. 3Synthesis and Characterization of Disodium Hydrogen Phosphate Dodecahydrate-Lauric-Palmitic Acid Used for Indoor Energy Storage Floor Units显示文摘Organic and inorganic phase change materials(PCMs) are considered potential materials for thermal energy storage(TES) with different phase change characteristics. In this study, a novel organic-inorganic composite phase change material(PCM) called disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate-lauric-palmitic acid(D-LA-PACM) was prepared. Expanded graphite(EG) was selected as the support material, and the novel organic-inorganic form-stable PCM called D-LA-PAPCM/EG was prepared using the vacuum adsorption method. Differential scanning calorimetry, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, leakage testing, melting and solidification cycle testing, thermal conductivity testing, scanning electron microscopy observation of the micromorphology, and other characterization methods were used to study the microstructure and morphology, thermal physical parameters, thermal conductivity, stability of the PCMs, and the comprehensive material properties of D-LA-PAPCM under the composite action of EG. Results indicated that the melting and freezing temperatures and latent heats of D-LA-PAPCM/EG were measured to be 31.6℃ and 34.3℃ and 142.9 and 142.8 J/g, respectively. Although some of the lauric-palmitic acid(LA-PA) and disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate(DHPD) separated in the multiple porous structures of EG after 1000 cycles, they could still absorb and release latent heats independently, with D-LA-PAPCM/EG still exhibiting good thermal stability. The thermal conductivity of D-LA-PAPCM/EG was 1.361 W/(m·K). 8Sensitized chemiluminescence reaction between hydrogen peroxide and periodate of different types of Mn-doped ZnS quantum dots显示文摘In this work,different types of Mn-doped ZnS QDs were prepared and applied to study of the chemiluminescence reaction of hydrogen peroxide and periodate. The effects of the size of nanoparticles,shell protection and the stabilizing agents on chemilu-minescence intensity were studied. The results indicated that the size of quantum dots was not the only factor to enhance the intensity of chemiluminescence system. Different stabilizing agents and the silica film protection will also influence the performance of the quantum dots in the chemiluminescence reaction. 10Improved method for synthesis of low molecular weight protamine–siRNA conjugate显示文摘RNAi technology has aroused wide public interest due to its high efficiency and specificity to treat multiple types of diseases. However, the effective delivery of siRNA remains a challenge due to its large molecular weight and strong anionic charge. Considering their remarkable functions in vivo and features that are often desired in drug delivery carriers, biomimetic systems for siRNA delivery become an effective and promising strategy. Based on this, covalent attachment of synthetic cell penetrating peptides(CPP) to siRNA has become of great interest. We developed a monomeric covalent conjugate of low molecular weight protamine(LMWP, a well-established CPP) and siRNA via a cytosol-cleavable disulfide linkage using PEG as a crosslinker. Results showed that the conjugates didn't generate coagulation, and exhibited much better RNAi potency and intracellular delivery compared with the conventional charge-complexed CPP/siRNA aggregates. Three different synthetic and purification methods were compared in order to optimize synthesis efficiency and product yield. The methodology using hetero-bifunctional NHS–PEG–OPSS as a crosslinker to synthesize LMWP–siRNA simplified the synthesis and purification process and produced the highest yield. 12Enhancing the HSV-1-mediated antitumor immune response by suppressing Bach1显示文摘Background In 2015,herpes simplex virus 1(HSV-1)-derived talimogene laherparepvec(T-VEC)was the first oncolytic virus approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as a therapeutic agent for cancer treatment.However,its antitumor application is limited to local treatment of melanoma,and there is a lack of understanding of the mechanisms underlying the regulation of HSV-1 replication in cancer cells and the associated antitumor immunity.We hypothesized that increasing the replication capacity of HSV-1 in tumor cells would enhance the antitumor effect of this virus.Methods We systematically identified IFN-stimulated genes induced by HSV-1 by performing functional screens and clarified the mechanism by which BACH1 acts against HSV-1.Then,we tested the effect of BACH1 deficiency on immunogenic cell death induced by HSV-1.Furthermore,we investigated the antitumor effect of BACH1 deficiency on HSV-1 in MCA205 and B16 murine tumor models.Results We identified eight IFN-stimulated genes(ISGs)controlling HSV-1 replication,among which BTB and CNC homology 1(BACH1)suppressed HSV-1 replication by inhibiting the transcription of ICP4,ICP27,and UL39.Loss of Bach1 function not only increased HSV-1 proliferation but also promoted HSV-1-induced cell apoptosis,HMGB1 secretion,and calreticulin exposure in tumor cells.More importantly,hemin,an FDA-approved drug known to downregulate BACH1,significantly enhanced HSV-1-mediated antitumor activity with increased T lymphocyte infiltration at the tumor site.Conclusions Our studies uncovered a novel antiviral activity of BACH1 and provided a new strategy for improving the clinical efficiency of the oncolytic virus HSV-1.Chaohu Pan Qiaomei Cai Xiaorong Li Lili Li Liping Yang Yu Chen Junxiao Liu Wancheng Liu Meiling Gao Tianqi Sui Xiaoyang Wang Huiming Fan Jiayin Ruan Yueyue Shi Saihua Chen Lucy S.Cheng Jiayong Liu Heng Yang Genhong Cheng 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,4:0
13Design and experiment of pneumatic seed clearing mechanism for pin-hole tube wheat plot precision sowing device显示文摘For the problem that when wheat is sucked up by the air suction method,the seeds are aligned in a small area,making it difficult for the contact seed cleaning mechanism to clean the seeds.The mechanism of seed cleaning airflow on wheat seed was studied,the flow velocity distribution relationship of the jet section was defined,the mathematical model of the jet velocity of circular and plane sections was established,and the key factors that could have a significant influence on seed cleaning effect were explored.A non-contact positive pressure air flow seed cleaning method was proposed.After theoretical calculations,it is concluded that the core section lengths of the circular section jet and the inline jet are 24.8 mm and 28.8 mm,respectively.The clearing distance is set to 20 mm.Through the single-factor test,the best air tube nozzle shape was clarified as a vertical inline nozzle.The angle of seed cleaning,the air velocity of seed cleaning,and the negative supply pressure were selected as influencing factors,and the seed leakage index,seed reabsorption index,and seed qualification index as the evaluation indicators to conduct a 3-factor 5-horizontal rotation test.A mathematical regression model of influencing factors and evaluation indexes was established to analyze the influence of these factors and indexes.The optimal operation parameters were obtained as the seed cleaning Angle of 19°,the seed cleaning air velocity of 58 m/s,and the negative pressure of 8.5 kPa.Under the optimal parameters,the seed leakage suction index is 8.23%,the seed reabsorption index is 0.33%,and the seed qualification index is 91.44%,which meets the design requirements.Xirui Zhang Youming Yang Qingjie Wang Hongwen Li Zhifu Zhang Junxiao Liu 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,4:0
14Distribution of PCDD/Fs in a food waste anaerobic digestion process with biogas utilization显示文摘Food waste(FW)is a major component of municipal solid waste(MSW)in developing countries such as China.Anaerobic digestion(AD)is a widely-applied FW biological treatment method following MSW classification.With FW diversion from conventional incineration plants,the environmental risk caused by trace toxic pollutants,such as polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans(PCDD/Fs),should be reevaluated.This study investigated a full-scale FW-AD plant in Shenzhen,China,and addressed two important underexplored issues:the distribution patterns of PCDD/Fs during the FW-AD process and PCDD/F emission characteristics of the biogas utilization exhaust gas.Mass balance demonstrated a negative balance of 2.48μg I-TEQ/t of raw FW(RFW),thus indicating that AD produced moderate PCDD/F emissions.The detailed findings were as follows:1)PCDD/F toxic equivalents(TEQs)in pure FW(RFW without impurities)were lower than in RFW,indicating that MSW source separation is crucial for decreasing the PCDD/F input into the AD system;2)PCDD/F contents(6.20–8.27 pg I-TEQ/g dry weight)in solid digestate were near the screening value of development land in China’s national standard(GB36600-2018),thus indicating that the potential environmental risk from the land application of solid digestate should be considered;and 3)PCDD/F TEQs(0.001–0.022 ng I-TEQ/Nm^(3))in biogas utilization exhaust gas were roughly equivalent to those produced by MSW incinerators in Shenzhen.This study indicated that compared with co-incineration with other waste,FW-AD will reduce PCDD/F emissions(air)from MSW incineration plants by 12.5%–21.3%at the national level under an FW separation scenario.Junxiao Wei Jinru Zhang Huan Li Jianguo Liu Zhou Deng Chao Zhou 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,11:0

16Homeoprotein SIX1 compromises antitumor immunity through TGF-β-mediated regulation of collagens显示文摘The tumor microenvironment(TME),including infiltrated immune cells,is known to play an important role in tumor growth;however,the mechanisms underlying tumor immunogenicity have not been fully elucidated.Here,we discovered an unexpected role for the transcription factor SIX1 in regulating the tumor immune microenvironment.Based on analyses of patient datasets,we found that SIX1 was upregulated in human tumor tissues and that its expression levels were negatively correlated with immune cell infiltration in the TME and the overall survival rates of cancer patients.Deletion of Six1 in cancer cells significantly reduced tumor growth in an immune-dependent manner with enhanced antitumor immunity in the TME.Mechanistically,SIX1 was required for the expression of multiple collagen genes via the TGFBR2-dependent Smad2/3 activation pathway,and collagen deposition in the TME hampered immune cell infiltration and activation.Thus,our study uncovers a crucial role for SIX1 in modulating tumor immunogenicity and provides proof-of-concept evidence for targeting SIX1 in cancer immunotherapy.Wancheng Liu Meiling Gao Lili Li Yu Chen Huimin Fan Qiaomei Cai Yueyue Shi Chaohu Pan Junxiao Liu Lucy S.Cheng Heng Yang Genhong Cheng 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,12:0

19Synthesis and characterization of Zr_(0.85)Y_(0.15)O_(1.925)-La_(9.33)Si_(6)O_(26) composite electrolyte for application in SOFCs显示文摘Composite oxide ionic conductors consisting of Zr_(0.85)Y_(0.15)O_(1.925)(YSZ)and La_(9.33)Si_(6)O_(26)(LSO)have been synthesized by a modified coprecipitation method.X-ray diffraction,electron microscope,and complex impedance were adopted to investigate the phase component,microstructures,and conductivities,respectively.The results show that the average grain sizes of the composite powders and as-sintered pellets are less than 20 nm and 200 nm,respectively.The conductivity of the composite materials composed of 94 wt%YSZ and 6 wt%LSO is 0.215 S/cm at 700℃.The conductivity of the composite is three times higher than that of the polycrystalline YSZ and has two orders in magnitude higher than that of the polycrystalline LSO at 700℃.By analyzing the impedance spectra and modulus spectra,the grain-boundary effect on the conductivity improvement is investigated and the conductive mechanisms of the composite materials are discussed.Chaofeng LIU Hong ZHANG Junxiao XIA Zhicheng LI 2012Journal of Advanced Ceramics2012,1,4:0
20Effect of the Mixing Structure Parameters of a Self-reflux Burner on Combustion Characteristics and NO_(x)Emission显示文摘To solve the problem of low efficiency of NO_(x)emission reduction in self-reflux burners,this study is based on the concept of coordinated control of self-reflux burner structural and thermal parameters.After completing the structural design and optimization of thermal parameters,we continue to adjust the two key structural parameters:the nozzle axis distance and the length of the cylindrical section,to minimize NO_(x)emissions.These are the two parameters that chiefly affect the mixing of flue gas and fuel gas.The results show that increasing nozzle axis distance can delay the mixing of gas and air and create a more uniform oxygen concentration field for the combustion process.The maximum combustion temperature is reduced from 1973.65 K to 1935.88 K and the volume fraction of NO_(x)in the flue gas is reduced from 188.08×10^(–6)to 143.47×10^(–6).However,compared with the nozzle axis distance,the length of the cylindrical section of the burner has little effect on the mixing of the flow field.Under different cylindrical section lengths,the maximum combustion temperature does not change more than 3 K,and the volume fraction of NO_(x)in the flue gas changes within 5×10~(–6).XU Qian SHEN Meng SHI Kejian LIU Zhihui AKKURT Nevzat XIONG Yaxuan LIU Lin FENG Junxiao WANG Jiulong 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,4:0
