3Modern pollen rain in the Lake Qinghai basin, China显示文摘Lake Qinghai is the largest inland brackish lake in China and lies within the NE Tibetan Plateau. Our study shows that pollen assemblages in each vegetation belt are significantly correlated with the vegetation types of this area. Among the herbaceous and shrubby pollen assemblages, Artemisia is over-represented, while Poaceae, Cyperaceae and Polygonaceae are under-represented. Artemisia/ Chenopodiaceae (A/C) ratios with the regional vegetation characteristic can be used as a proper index to reconstruct the history of vegetation and climate in Lake Qinghai basin. Modern pollen in the lake mainly comes from the nearby vegetation, controlled by the directions and velocity of the wind. The distribution of modern pollen in Lake Qinghai tends to be similar in most part of the lake. 7An Early Cretaceous Avialian Bird, Shenzhouraptor sinensis from Western Liaoning, China显示文摘This paper describes an avialian bird from the Early Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation in Yixian county,western Liaoning, China, which is named as Shenzhouraptor sinensis by Ji et al. on July 15, 2002. Shenzhouraptor sinensis is characterized by no teeth in its mouth, the forelimbs longer than the hindlimbs, a long tail with more than 23 caudal vertebrae, U-shaped wishbone, and remiges longer than the total length of ulna and manus. 11PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling orchestrates the phenotypic transition and chemo-resistance of small cell lung cancer显示文摘Small cell lung cancer(SCLC)is a phenotypically heterogeneous disease with an extremely poor prognosis,which is mainly attributed to the rapid development of resistance to chemotherapy.However,the relation between the growth phenotypes and chemo-resistance of SCLC remains largely unclear.Through comprehensive bioinformatic analyses,we found that the heterogeneity of SCLC phenotype was significantly associated with different sensitivity to chemotherapy.Adherent or semiadherent SCLC cells were enriched with activation of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway and were highly chemoresistant.Mechanistically,activation of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway promotes the phenotypic transition from suspension to adhesion growth pattern and confers SCLC cells with chemo-resistance.Such chemo-resistance could be largely overcome by combining chemotherapy with PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway inhibitors.Our findings support that the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway plays an important role in SCLC phenotype transition and chemo-resistance,which holds important clinical implications for improving SCLC treatment.Xuefeng Li Cheng Li Chenchen Guo Qiqi Zhao Jiayu Cao Hsin-Yi Huang Meiting Yue Yun Xue Yujuan Jin Liang Hu Hongbin Ji 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,7:5

13Microstructure, cold rolling, heat treatment, and mechanical properties of Mg-Li alloys显示文摘The magnesium-lithium (Mg-Li) alloy exhibits two phase structures between 5.7wt% and 10.3wt% Li contents, consisting of the α (hcp) Mg-rich and the β (bcc) Li-rich phases, at room temperature. In the experiment, Mg-5Li-2Zn, Mg-9Li-2Zn, Mg-16Li-2Zn, Mg-22Li-2Zn, Mg-5Li-2Zn-2Ca, Mg-9Li-2Zn-2Ca, Mg-16Li-2Zn-2Ca, and Mg-22Li-2Zn-2Ca (wt%) were melted. During the melting process, the flux, which was composed of lithium chloride (LiCl) and lithium fluoride (LiF) in the proportion of 3:1 (mass ratio) and argon gas were used to protect the alloys from oxidation. The microstructure, mechanical properties, and cold-rolling workability of the wrought alloys were studied. The crystal grain of the alloys (adding Ga) is fine. The hardness of the studied alloys decreases with an increase in element Li. The density of the studied alloys is in the range of 1.187 to 1.617 g/cm3. The reduction of the Mg-16Li-2Zn and Mg-22Li-2Zn alloys can exceed 85% at room temperature. The Mg-9Li-2Zn-2Ca alloy was heat treated at 300°C for 8, 12, 16, and 24 h, respectively. 14Finding Deceptive Opinion Spam by Correcting the Mislabeled Instances显示文摘Assessing the trustworthiness of reviews is a key in natural language processing and computational linguistics. Previous work mainly focuses on some heuristic strategies or simple supervised learning methods, which limit the performance of this task. This paper presents a new approach, from the viewpoint of correcting the mislabeled instances, to find deceptive opinion spam. Partition a dataset into several subsets, construct a classifier set for each subset and select the best one to evaluate the whole dataset. Error variables are defined to compute the probability that the instances have been mislabeled. The mislabeled instances are corrected based on two threshold schemes, ma jority and non-objection. 19Investigating the function of Akt by tet-off inducible expression system显示文摘A tet-off inducible cell line named BBT derived from BA/F3β cell line was constructed and the effect of this inducible expression system was significant when detected by tet-off responded luciferase reporter gene assay. Then tet-off responded Akt expression plasmid was transfected into BBT cells, and the stable cell lines were screened. The result of Northern blot showed that the expression of akt was significantly inducible. The clone with the best inducible effect was selected and named BBA for investigating the function of Akt. We found that Akt could significantly inhibit zinc-induced decrease of cell viability when assayed by MTT method.
