| 1 | Experimental study of the effect of blade tip clearance and blade angle error on the performance of mixed-flow pump显示文摘The hydraulic performance test of the mixed-flow pump has been carried out through selecting different blade tip clearances and various blade angle errors.The ratio of the mixed-flow pump efficiency reduction and the blade tip clearance variation(η/δ) varies with the flow rate coefficient revealing a parabolic trend.An empirical equation has been developed for the mixed-flow pump model by parabolic fitting.For the same blade tip clearance variation δ,the mixed-flow pump efficiency reduction η increases rapidly as the flow rate rises.For any given flow rate,the efficiency,the head and the shaft power of the mixed-flow pump all decrease with the increase of the blade tip clearance.Among them,the efficiency reduction η varies approximately linearly with the blade tip clearance variation δ.When the angle of an individual blade of the mixed-flow pump has a deviation,the performance curves will move and change.These curves have consistent change directions with the performance curves under the condition of all the blades rotated at the same time,but have smaller offset and lower range of variation.When an individual blade angle error changes to ±2°,the optimal efficiency of the mixed-flow pump will have no significant difference.When the individual blade angle error increases to ±4°,the optimal efficiency will decrease by 1%. | BING Hao CAO ShuLiang HE ChengLian LU Li | 2013 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,2: | 13 |
| 2 | Prediction method of impeller performance and analysis of loss mechanism for mixed-flow pump显示文摘A loss model for the mixed-flow pump impellers was developed by summarizing a variety of loss calculation formulas systematically.The internal flow field of the impeller was obtained by employing the iterative calculation for S 1 and S 2 stream surfaces to solve the continuity and motion equations of fluid.Based on the calculation method of the flow field and the loss model,it is achieved to predict the impeller performance of the mixed-flow pump and the performance curves of a mixed-flow pump model with adjustable blades.Compared with the test data,the loss model of the mixed-flow pump based on the iterative calculation can predict the impeller performance quickly and accurately,which has a high value on the engineering applications.Based on the test verification,curves of various kinds of losses varied for the flow rate were analyzed under different blade angles.In addition,the mechanisms of various kinds of losses inside the mixed-flow pump impeller were discussed in-depth. | BING Hao TAN Lei CAO ShuLiang LU Li | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,7: | 8 |

| 4 | One-pot synthesis of 2,5-bis(hydroxymethyl)furan from biomass derived 5-(chloromethyl)furfural in high yield显示文摘5-(Chloromethyl)furfural(CMF),as a new platform molecular,has become a hot topic in the field of biorefinery.Herein,the one-pot conversion of CMF to 2,5-bis(hydroxymethyl)furan(BHMF)in the water phase was demonstrated for the first time.A 91%BHMF yield was obtained over Ru/Cu Oxcatalyst,and BHMF was mainly produced by the consecutive hydrolysis and hydrogenation of CMF with 5-hydroxymethylfurfural(HMF)as an intermediate.Kinetic studies revealed that the conversion of HMF to BHMF was the rate-determining step.Remarkably,the characterizations and density functional theory(DFT)calculations further revealed the lower electron density of Ru NPs in Ru/Cu Oxcatalyst,resulting in a larger adsorption energy and a smaller free energy difference for the formation of alcohols.The present findings offered a new pathway for biomass-derived diol production through CMF as a potential source. | Binglin Chen Yunchao Feng Sen Ma Weizhen Xie Guihua Yan Zheng Li Jonathan Sperry Shuliang Yang Xing Tang Yong Sun Lu Lin Xianhai Zeng | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,1: | 1 |

| 10 | Parallelized microfluidic droplet generators with improved ladder-tree distributors for production of monodisperseγ-Al_(2)O_(3)microspheres显示文摘In this paper,we present a parallelized microfluidic device with improved ladder-tree distributors for the scaled-up production of monodisperse microspheres.Owing to the improved distribution form comprising a ladder distributor in the center and tree distributors around the circumference,the uniformity of the generated droplets for our device was improved by 32.9%and 86.1%compared to those achieved in devices with conventional tree and ladder distributors,respectively,in the final production stage with 32 droplet generators,indicating the potential of our device for further scale-up while maintaining the monodispersity of the generated droplets.The effect of the 2D scale-up of our device was investigated by varying the continuous-phase flow rate and viscosity.Using our device,γ-Al_(2)O_(3)microspheres with a diameter of 598.1μm and a CV of 2.58%,as catalyst support for microreactors,were continuously synthesized at high production rate.The nickel-based catalyst prepared fromγ-Al_(2)O_(3)microspheres with large specific surface area and pore volume had an average NiO size of 14 nm,which was 60.9%of that supported on industrial support.The CO methanation conversion of the Ni@Al_(2)O_(3)microspheres was 1.7 times larger than Ni@Al_(2)O_(3)industrial support at 140℃. | Huilin Yi Shuliang Lu Jiajia Wu Yujun Wang Guangsheng Luo | 2022 | Particuology2022,20,3: | 1 |
| 11 | Effect of polyamide on selectivity of its supported Raney Ni catalyst显示文摘A newly-developed polyamide supported Raney Ni catalyst, which is suitable for use in fix-bed reactions with high selectivity, was studied in this paper. Selective hydrogenation of acetone to isopropanol was chosen as a probe reaction. It has been found that clean preparation of isopropanol could be achieved, that is to say, the two main byproducts(isopropyl ether and methyl-iso-butyl carbinol) could be eliminated with the newly-developed polyamide supported Raney Ni catalyst. The elimination of these side reactions was attributed to the adsorption effect of polyamide support and a model was proposed. The proposed model was further proved by hydroamination reaction of acetone. According to this model, catalyst support can play an important role in chemical reactions. Different products could be produced when different catalyst support is used, the main reaction and side reactions can even be reversed sometimes when the chemicals, active component of catalyst and reaction condition are the same. | 12 | Highly Flexible and Broad‑Range Mechanically Tunable All‑Wood Hydrogels with Nanoscale Channels via the Hofmeister Effect for Human Motion Monitoring显示文摘Wood-based hydrogel with a unique anisotropic structure is an attractive soft material,but the presence of rigid crystalline cellulose in natural wood makes the hydrogel less flexible.In this study,an all-wood hydrogel was constructed by cross-linking cellulose fibers,polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)chains,and lignin molecules through the Hofmeister effect.The all-wood hydrogel shows a high tensile strength of 36.5 MPa and a strain up to~438%in the longitudinal direction,which is much higher than its tensile strength(~2.6 MPa)and strain(~198%)in the radial direction,respectively.The high mechanical strength of all-wood hydrogels is mainly attributed to the strong hydrogen bonding,physical entanglement,and van der Waals forces between lignin molecules,cellulose nanofibers,and PVA chains.Thanks to its excellent flexibility,good conductivity,and sensitivity,the all-wood hydrogel can accurately distinguish diverse macroscale or subtle human movements,including finger flexion,pulse,and swallowing behavior.In particular,when“An Qi”was called four times within 15 s,two variations of the pronunciation could be identified.With recyclable,biodegradable,and adjustable mechanical properties,the all-wood hydrogel is a multifunctional soft material with promising applications,such as human motion monitoring,tissue engineering,and robotics materials. | Guihua Yan Shuaiming He Gaofeng Chen Sen Ma Anqi Zeng Binglin Chen Shuliang Yang Xing Tang Yong Sun Feng Xu Lu Lin Xianhai Zeng | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,5: | 0 |

| 15 | Heterogeneously-catalyzed aerobic oxidation of furfural to furancarboxylic acid with CuO-Promoted MnO_(2)显示文摘A cost-effective and sustainable noble-metal free catalyst system based on ubiquitously available Mn-Cu bimetallic oxides was served as efficient catalysts for furfural selective oxidation to furancarboxylic acid(FA). Interestingly, Mn_(2)Cu_(1)O_(x)exhibited an excellent furfural conversion of 99% with quantitative selectivity toward FA. Especially, we demonstrate the significant weakening of the Mn-O bonds with the incorporation of CuO into the Mn-Cu oxides, resulting in an improved OLreactivity of Mn_(2)Cu_(1)O_(x), which brings about a higher catalytic activity for furfural oxidation. More importantly, Mn_(2)Cu_(1)O_(x)could exhibit YFA>90% over 5 cycles of reusability test.
