| 3 | Association between socioeconomic status and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in Jiangsu province, China: a population-based study显示文摘Background:Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)is a common public health problem worldwide.Recent studies have reported that socioeconomic status(SES)is related to the incidence of COPD.This study aimed to investigate the association between SES and COPD among adults in Jiangsu province,China,and to determine the possible direct and indirect effects of SES on the morbidity of COPD.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted among adults aged 40 years and above between May and December of 2015 in Jiangsu province,China.Participants were selected using a multistage sampling approach.COPD,the outcome variable,was diagnosed by physicians based on spirometry,respiratory symptoms,and risk factors.Education,occupation,and monthly family average income(FAI)were used to separately indicate SES as the explanatory variable.Mixed-effects logistic regression models were introduced to calculate odds ratios(ORs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs)for examining the SES-COPD relationship.A pathway analysis was conducted to further explore the pulmonary function impairment of patients with different SES.Results:The mean age of the 2421 participants was 56.63±9.62 years.The prevalence of COPD was 11.8%(95%CI:10.5%–13.1%)among the overall sample population.After adjustment for age,gender,residence,outdoor and indoor air pollution,body weight status,cigarette smoking,and potential study area-level clustering effects,educational attainment was negatively associated with COPD prevalence in men;white collars were at lower risk(OR:0.60,95%CI:0.43–0.83)of experiencing COPD than blue collars;compared with those within the lower FAI subgroup,participants in the upper(OR:0.68,95%CI:0.49–0.97)tertiles were less likely to experience COPD.Such negative associations between all these three SES indicators and COPD were significant among men only.Education,FAI,and occupation had direct or indirect effects on pulmonary function including post-bronchodilator forced expiratory volume in 1 s/forced vital capacity(FEV1/FVC),FEV1,FVC,and FEV1 percentage of predicted.Education,FAI,and occupation had indirect effects on pulmonary function indices of all participants mainly through smoking status,indoor air pollution,and outdoor air pollution.We also found that occupation could affect post-bronchodilator FEV1/FVC through body mass index.Conclusions:Education,occupation,and FAI had an adverse relationship with COPD prevalence in Jiangsu province,China.SES has both direct and indirect associations with pulmonary function impairment.SES is of great significance for COPD morbidity.It is important that population-based COPD prevention strategies should be tailored for people with different SES. | Dan-Dan Zhang Jian-Nan Liu Qing Ye Zi Chen Ling Wu Xue-Qing Peng Gan Lu Jin-Yi Zhou Ran Tao Zhen Ding Fei Xu Linfu Zhou | 2021 | Chinese Medical Journal2021,,13: | 5 |
| 4 | A novel synthetic route for LiFePO_4/C cathode materials by addition of starch for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘LiFePO4/Carbon composite cathode material was prepared using starch as carbon source by spray-pelleting and subsequent pyrolysis in N2. The samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, Raman, and their electrochemical performance was investigated in terms of cycling behavior. There has a special micro-morphology via the process, which is favorable to electrochemical properties. The discharge capacity of the LiFePO4.C composite was 170 mAh g-1, equal to the theoretical specific capacity at 0.1 C rate. | 5 | A novel approach for designing efficient broadband photodetectors expanding from deep ultraviolet to near infrared显示文摘Broadband photodetection(PD)covering the deep ultraviolet to near-infrared(200–1000 nm)range is significant and desirable for various optoelectronic designs.Herein,we employ ultraviolet(UV)luminescent concentrators(LC),iodinebased perovskite quantum dots(PQDs),and organic bulk heterojunction(BHJ)as the UV,visible,and near-infrared(NIR)photosensitive layers,respectively,to construct a broadband heterojunction PD.Firstly,experimental and theoretical results reveal that optoelectronic properties and stability of CsPbI3 PQDs are significantly improved through Er3+doping,owing to the reduced defect density,improved charge mobility,increased formation energy,tolerance factor,etc.The narrow bandgap of CsPbI3:Er3+PQDs serves as a visible photosensitive layer of PD.Secondly,considering the matchable energy bandgap,the BHJ(BTP-4Cl:PBDB-TF)is selected as to NIR absorption layer to fabricate the hybrid structure with CsPbI3:Er3+PQDs.Thirdly,UV LC converts the UV light(200–400 nm)to visible light(400–700 nm),which is further absorbed by CsPbI3:Er3+PQDs.In contrast with other perovskites PDs and commercial Si PDs,our PD presents a relatively wide response range and high detectivity especially in UV and NIR regions(two orders of magnitude increase that of commercial Si PDs).Furthermore,the PD also demonstrates significantly enhanced air-and UV-stability,and the photocurrent of the device maintains 81.5%of the original one after 5000 cycles.This work highlights a new attempt for designing broadband PDs,which has application potential in optoelectronic devices. | Nan Ding Yanjie Wu Wen Xu Jiekai Lyu Yue Wang Lu Zi Long Shao Rui Sun Nan Wang Sen Liu Donglei Zhou Xue Bai Ji Zhou Hongwei Song | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,5: | 5 |
| 6 | Spatial-temporal Evolution Characteristics and Decoupling Analysis of Influencing Factors of China’s Aviation Carbon Emissions显示文摘The aviation industry has become one of the top ten greenhouse gas emission industries in the world. China’s aviation carbon emissions continue to increase, but the analysis of its influencing factors at the provincial level is still incomplete. This paper firstly uses Stochastic Impacts by Regression on Population, Affluence and Technology model(STIRPAT) model to analyze the time series evolution of China’s aviation carbon emissions from 2000 to 2019. Secondly, it uses the Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index(LDMI) model to analyze the influencing characteristics and degree of four factors on China’s aviation carbon emissions, which are air transportation revenue, aviation route structure, air transportation intensity and aviation energy intensity. Thirdly, it determines the various factors’ influencing direction and evolution trend of 31 provinces’ aviation carbon emissions in China(not including Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan of China due to incomplete data). Finally, it derives the decoupling effort model and analyzes the decoupling relationship and decoupling effort degree between air carbon emissions and air transportation revenue in different provinces. The study found that from 2000 to2019, China’s total aviation carbon emissions continued to grow, while the growth rate of aviation carbon emissions showed a fluctuating downward trend. Air transportation revenue and aviation route structure promote the growth of total aviation carbon emissions, and air transportation intensity and aviation energy intensity have a restraining effect on the growth of total aviation carbon emissions. The scope of negative driving effect of air transportation revenue and air transportation intensity on total aviation carbon emissions in various provinces has increased. While the scope of positive driving influence of aviation route structure on total aviation carbon emissions of various provinces has increased, aviation energy intensity mainly has negative driving influence on total aviation carbon emissions of each province. Overall, the emission reduction trend in the areas to the west and north of the Qinling-Huaihe River Line is obvious. | 19 | Aerodynamic characteristics of morphing wing withflexible leading-edge显示文摘The morphing wing can improve the flight performance during different phases.However,research has been subject to limitations in aerodynamic characteristics of the morphing wing with a flexible leading-edge.The computational fluid dynamic method and dynamic mesh were used to simulate the continuous morphing of the flexible leading-edge.After comparing the steady aerodynamic characteristics of morphing and conventional wings,this study examined the unsteady aerodynamic characteristics of morphing wings with upward and downward deflections of the leading-edge at different frequencies.The numerical results show that for the steady aerodynamic,the leading-edge deflection mainly affects the stall characteristic.The downward deflection of the leading-edge increases the stall angle of attack and nose-down pitching moment.The results are opposite for the upward deflection.For the unsteady aerodynamic,at a small angle of attack,the transient lift coefficient of the upward deflection,growing with the increase of deflection frequency,is larger than that of the static case.The transient lift coefficient of the downward deflection,decreasing with the increase of deflection frequency,is smaller than that of the static case.However,at a large angle of attack,an opposite effect of deflection frequency on the transient lift coefficient was demonstrated.The transient lift coefficient is larger than that of the static case when the leading edge is in the nose-up stage,and lower than that of the static one in the nose-down stage. | Zi KAN Daochun LI Tong SHEN Jinwu XIANG Lu ZHANG | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,10: | 1 |
