| 1 | Synergistic effect of ozonation and ionizing radiation for PVA decomposition显示文摘Ozonation and ionizing radiation are both advanced oxidation processes(AOPs) without chemical addition and secondary pollution. Also, the two processes' efficiency is determined by different p H conditions, which creates more possibilities for their combination. Importantly,the combined process of ozonation and ionizing radiation could be suitable for treating wastewaters with extreme p H values, i.e., textile wastewater. To find synergistic effects, the combined process of ozonation and ionizing radiation mineralization was investigated for degradation of polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) at different p H levels. A synergistic effect was found at initial p H in the range 3.0–9.4. When the initial p H was 3.0, the combined process of ozonation and ionizing radiation gave a PVA mineralization degree of 17%. This was 2.7 times the sum achieved by the two individual processes, and factors of 2.1 and 1.7 were achieved at initial p H of7.0 and 9.4, respectively. | 2 | Fabrication of(TiB/Ti)-TiAl composites with a controlled laminated architecture and enhanced mechanical properties显示文摘The(TiB/Ti)-TiAl composites with a laminated structure composing of alternating TiB/Ti composite layers,α_(2)-Ti_(3)Al interfacial reaction layers of andγ-TiAl layers were successfully pre pared by spark plasma sintering of alternately stacked Tib_(2)/Ti powder layers and TiAl powder layers.And the influence of thickness ratio of Tib_(2)/Ti powder layers to TiAl powder layers on microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of the re sulting(TiB/Ti)-TiAl laminated composites were investigated systemically.The results showed that the thickening ofα_(2)-Ti_(3)Al layers which originated from the reaction of Ti and TiAl was significantly hindered by introducing Tib_(2)particles into starting Ti powders.As the thickness ratio of Tib_(2)/Ti powder layers to TiAl powder layers increased,the bending fracture strength and fracture toughness at room temperature of the final(TiB/Ti)-TiAl laminated composites were remarkably improved,especially for the(TiB/Ti)-TiAl composites prepared by Tib_(2)/Ti powder layers with thickness of 800μm and TiAl powder layers with thickness of 400μm,whose fracture toughness and bending strength were up to 51.2 MPa·m^(1/2)and 1456 MPa,respectively,293%and 108%higher than that of the monolithic TiAl alloys in the present work.This was attributed to the addition of high-performance network TiB/Ti composite layers.Moreover,it was noteworthy that the ultimate tensile strength at 700℃of(TiB/Ti)-TiAl composites fabricated by 400μm thick Tib_(2)/Ti powder layers and 400μm thick TiAl powder layers was as high as that at 550℃of network TiB/Ti composites.This means the service temperature of(TiB/Ti)-TiAl laminated composites was likely raised by 150℃,meanwhile a good combination of high strength and high toughness at ambient tempe rature could be maintained.Finally,the fracture mechanism of(TiB/Ti)-TiAl laminated composites was proposed. | Hao Ding Xiping Cui Naonao Gao Yuan Sun Yuanyuan Zhang Lujun Huang Lin Geng | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,3: | 3 |

| 5 | Temporal and spatial changes of microbial community in an industrial effluent receiving area in Hangzhou Bay显示文摘Anthropogenic activities usually contaminate water environments, and have led to the eutrophication of many estuaries and shifts in microbial communities. In this study, the temporal and spatial changes of the microbial community in an industrial effluent receiving area in Hangzhou Bay were investigated by 454 pyrosequencing. The bacterial community showed higher richness and biodiversity than the archaeal community in all sediments. Proteobacteria dominated in the bacterial communities of all the samples; Marine_Group_Ⅰ and Methanomicrobia were the two dominant archaeal classes in the effluent receiving area. PCoA and AMOVA revealed strong seasonal but minor spatial changes in both bacterial and archaeal communities in the sediments. The seasonal changes of the bacterial community were less significant than those of the archaeal community, which mainly consisted of fluctuations in abundance of a large proportion of longstanding species rather than the appearance and disappearance of major archaeal species. | 6 | EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor HS-10182 increases radiation sensitivity in non-small cell lung cancers with EGFR T790M mutation显示文摘Objective:To investigate the potential of HS-10182,a second-generation epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor(EGFR-TKI),as a radiosensitizer in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:Two cell lines of NSCLCs,A549 that possesses wild-type(WT)EGFRs and H1975 that possesses EGFR L858R/T790M double mutations,were treated with HS-10182 at various concentrations,and cell viabilities were determined using the MTS assay.The cells were tested by clonogenic survival assays to identify the radiosensitivity of both groups.Western blot was performed to analyze the expression of phosphorylated EGFR,AKT,DNA-dependent protein kinase,and catalytic subunit(DNA-PKcs)proteins.Immunofluorescence analyses were performed to examine the formation and changes in nuclearγ-H2AX foci.Cell apoptosis was examined by flow cytometry and Western blots for cleaved caspase-3,-8,-9,and cleaved poly ADP-ribose polymerase(PARP).Furthermore,we established xenograft models in mice and the effects of different treatments on tumor growth were then assessed.Results:Clonogenic survival assays revealed that HS-10182 significantly enhanced the radiosensitivity of H1975 cells but not A549cells[dose enhancement ratios(DERs)=2.36(P<0.05)vs.1.43(P>0.05)].Western blot results showed that HS-10182 increased the levels of cleaved caspase-3,-8,-9,and cleaved PARP in H1975 cells but not in A549 cells.In addition,flow cytometry analysis showed that HS-10182 enhanced irradiation-induced apoptosis in H1975.Immunofluorescence results found that HS-10182increased the average number ofγ-H2AX foci after irradiation in H1975 cells,but not in A549 cells.Combined radiation and HS-10182 treatment increased the expression of DNA-PKcs but this increase was more significant in H1975 cells than in A549 cells.Moreover,HS-10182 suppressed the increased expression of Rad50 in H1975 cells in response to irradiation.In vivo experiments found that the combined therapy significantly inhibited tumor growth.Conclusions:HS-10182 enhances the radiosensitivity of H1975 cells which is possibly because that HS-10182 could enhance irradiation-induced apoptosis,increase irradiation-induced DNA damage,and cause a delay in DNA damage repair.Our findings suggest that radiotherapy combined HS-10182 is a novel treatment for lung cancer cells which have acquired the T790M mutation.HS-10182 could be brought to the clinic as a radiosensitizer in NSCLCs with the EGFR T790M mutation. | Yang Chen Youyou Wang Lujun Zhao Ping Wang Jifeng Sun Rudi Bao Chenghai Li Ningbo Liu | 2018 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2018,15,1: | 2 |

| 8 | Interfacial reaction mechanism of TiBw/Ti6Al4V composites and Inconel 718 alloys by GTAW heat transmission显示文摘A good joint of Ti Bw/Ti6Al4V composites and Inconel 718 alloys was obtained by Gas Tungsten Arc Welding(GTAW) heat transmission. The interfacial reaction mechanism of joint was investigated and analyzed in details. Owing to the heat input applied on the surface of Ti Bw/Ti6Al4V composites, a solid-state reaction layer appeared at the interface of Ti Bw/Ti6Al4 V composites to Inconel 718 alloys. The thickness of the reaction layer was obviously increased with increasing heat input.Developing of reaction layer mainly depended on the diffusion of elements of Ti and Ni through the interface during welding to form solid solutions and intermetallic compounds(IMCs). The reaction layer can be divided into Ti-rich zone(layer 2) and Nirich zone(layer 1). In Ni-rich zone, relatively coarse dendrites were the predominant, however, more brittle IMCs like Ti2Ni were found in the Ti-rich zone. Micro hardness of reaction layer was much higher than that of base metal. | 10 | Characteristics of Lake Breezes and Their Impacts on Energy and Carbon Fluxes in Mountainous Areas显示文摘In mountainous lake areas, lake–land and mountain–valley breezes interact with each other, leading to an 'extended lake breeze'. These extended lake breezes can regulate and control energy and carbon cycles at different scales. Based on meteorological and turbulent fluxes data from an eddy covariance observation site at Erhai Lake in the Dali Basin,southwest China, characteristics of daytime and nighttime extended lake breezes and their impacts on energy and carbon dioxide exchange in 2015 are investigated. Lake breezes dominate during the daytime while, due to different prevailing circulations at night, there are two types of nighttime breezes. The mountain breeze from the Cangshan Mountain range leads to N1 type nighttime breeze events. When a cyclonic circulation forms and maintains in the southern part of Erhai Lake at night, its northern branch contributes to the formation of N2 type nighttime breeze events. The prevailing wind directions for daytime, N1, and N2 breeze events are southeast, west, and southeast, respectively. Daytime breeze events are more intense than N1 events and weaker than N2 events. During daytime breeze events, the lake breeze decreases the sensible heat flux(Hs) and carbon dioxide flux(F_(CO_2)) and increases the latent heat flux(LE). During N1 breeze events, the mountain breeze decreases Hs and LE and increases F_(CO_2). | 15 | Microstructure evolution and improved properties of laminated titanium matrix composites with gradient equiaxed grains显示文摘With the purpose of improving both the strength and ductility,gradient equiaxed grains were successfully achieved in the matrix of the laminated TiB/Ti-TiB/Ti-6.58Al-1.76Zr-1.04V-0.89Mo composite via water quenching(WQ) and thermal compressing deformation. Gradient equiaxed grains varied from approximately 1.0 μm in TiB/Ti-6.58Al-1.76Zr-1.04V-0.89Mo layer to 5.5 μm in TiB/Ti layer. The formation of the gradient structure was related to the alloying elements diffusion during the initial sintering process,and the equiaxed shape was constructed by dynamic recrystallization during thermal compressing. WQ treatment before thermal compressing was adopted to obtain fine lamellar structure,which promoted the segmentation of αlamellae,and accelerated the dynamic recrystallization process. Raising the quenching temperature can increase the proportion of equiaxed grains in the composite,which improved both the bending strength and ductility. Compared with the as-sintered specimen,the specimen with gradient equiaxed grains exhibited nearly 30% enhancement in flexural strength(from 1719 to 2218 MPa),and the ultimate bending fracture strain was increased from 7.0% to 17.2%.
