2Influence of Inclusion on Crack Initiation in Wheel Rim显示文摘Speed increase and heavy haul of the railway freight car are the effective measures to raise the transport ability of railway,and they have been the new trend for railway freight car development.The increase of speed and axle load will lead to the increase of wheel-rail contact stress,which will make a great change of stress distribution in the whole wheel rim.Goodier equation was employed to analyze the stress state around inclusion and cavity.In the operation of wheel-rail contact stress,stress concentration occurred in the pole of Al2O3 spherical inclusion,while it appeared on the equator of cavity.The critical inclusion sizes of 250 kN axle load freight car wheel at different velocities,a certain distance away from the tread,were calculated by Murakami equation.Comparing the inclusion in cast steel wheel with that in rolled steel wheel,it is found that the inclusion in cast steel wheel has much more excellent crack resistance than that in rolled steel wheel.In the meantime,in order to reduce the probability of rim crack,some suggestions were put forward.MI Guo fa NAN Hong yan LIU Yan-lei ZHANG Bin ZHANG Hong SONG Guo xiang 2011Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2011,18,1:8
3Efficacy of a Chinese herbal formula on hepatitis B e antigenpositive chronic hepatitis B patients显示文摘BACKGROUND No guideline recommends antiviral therapy for hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)-positive chronic hepatitis B patients with persistently normal alanine aminotransferase levels and a high hepatitis B virus(HBV)DNA viral load.AIM To evaluate the feasibility and safety of a Chinese herbal formula as a therapeutic option for chronic HBV infection.METHODS In total,395 patients(30–65 years old)with confirmed HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B infection and persistently normal alanine aminotransferase were randomized to receive either Chinese herbal formula or placebo for 96 wk.Endpoints to evaluate therapeutic efficacy included:(1)HBV DNA levels decreased to less than 4 log10 IU/mL at weeks 48 and 96;and(2)HBeAg clearance and seroconversion rates at weeks 48 and 96.RESULTS HBV DNA levels≤4 log10 IU/mL were 10.05%at week 48 and 18.59%at week 96 in the treatment group.The HBeAg clearance and conversion rates were 8.54%and 8.04%at week 48 and 16.08%and 14.57%at week 96,respectively.However,HBV DNA levels≤4 log10 IU/mL were 2.55%and 2.55%at weeks 48 and 96,respectively,and the HBeAg clearance rates were 3.06%and 5.61%at weeks 48 and 96,respectively,in the control group.The quantitative hepatitis B surface antigen and HBeAg levels at baseline and changes during the treatment period as well as the alanine aminotransferase elevation at weeks 12 and 24 were strong predictors of HBeAg clearance.CONCLUSION High rates of HBV DNA reduction,HBeAg clearance and seroconversion could be achieved with Chinese herbal formula treatments,and the treatments were relatively safe for HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B-infected patients with persistently normal alanine aminotransferase.The ability of the compound to modulate host immune function probably contributed to this effect.Yu-Feng Xing Chun-Shan Wei Tian-Ran Zhou Dan-Ping Huang Wei-Chao Zhong Bin Chen Hua Jin Xiao-Yu Hu Zhi-Yun Yang Qing He Kai-Ping Jiang Jun-Min Jiang Zhen-Bin Hu Xin Deng Fan Yang Feng-Yi Li Gang Zhao Li-Chun Wang Yu-Qiang Mi Zuo-Jiong Gong Peng Guo Jian-Hua Wu Wei-Qun Shi Hong-Zhi Yang Da-Qiao Zhou Guang-Dong Tong 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,30:7
4Acellular ostrich corneal stroma used as scaffold for construction of tissue-engineered cornea显示文摘AIM:To assess acellular ostrich corneal matrix used as a scaffold to reconstruct a damaged cornea.· METHODS:A hypertonic saline solution combined with a digestion method was used to decellularize the ostrich cornea.The microstructure of the acellular corneal matrix was observed by transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and hematoxylin and eosin(H&E) staining.The mechanical properties were detected by a rheometer and a tension machine.The acellular corneal matrix was also transplanted into a rabbit cornea and cytokeratin 3 was used to check the immune phenotype.·RESULTS:The microstructure and mechanical properties of the ostrich cornea were well preserved after the decellularization process.In vitro,the methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium results revealed that extracts of the acellular ostrich corneas(AOCs) had no inhibitory effects on the proliferation of the corneal epithelial or endothelial cells or on the keratocytes.The rabbit lamellar keratoplasty showed that the transplanted AOCs were transparent and completely incorporated into the host cornea while corneal turbidity and graft dissolution occurred in the acellular porcine cornea(APC) transplantation.The phenotype of the reconstructed cornea was similar to a normal rabbit cornea with a high expression of cytokeratin 3 in the superficial epithelial cell layer.· CONCLUSION:We first used AOCs as scaffolds to reconstruct damaged corneas.Compared with porcine corneas,the anatomical structures of ostrich corneas are closer to those of human corneas.In accordance with the principle that structure determines function,a xenograft lamellar keratoplasty also confirmed that the AOC transplantation generated a superior outcome compared to that of the APC graft.Xian-Ning Liu Xiu-Ping Zhu Jie Wu Zheng-Jie Wu Yong Yin Xiang-HuaXiao Xin Su Bin Kong Shi-Yin Pan Hua Yang Yan Cheng Na An Sheng-Li Mi 2016International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2016,9,3:6

8Transparent and flame retardant cellulose/aluminum hydroxide nanocomposite aerogels显示文摘Cellulose-based nanocomposite aerogels were prepared by incorporation of aluminum hydroxide(AH) nanoparticles into cellulose gels via in-situ sol-gel synthesis and following supercritical CO_2 drying. The structure and properties of cellulose/AH nanocomposite aerogels were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy,ultraviolet-visible spectrometry, N_2 adsorption, thermogravimetric analysis, and micro-scale combustion calorimetry. The results indicated that the AH nanoparticles were homogeneously distributed within matrix, and the presence of AH nanoparticles did not affect the homogeneous nanoporous structure and morphology of regenerated cellulose aerogels prepared from1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride solution. The resultant nanocomposite aerogels exhibited good transparency and excellent mechanical properties. Moreover, the incorporation of AH was found to significantly decrease the flammability of cellulose aerogels. 9Multidimensional(0D-3D)functional nanocarbon:Promising material to strengthen the photocatalytic activity of graphitic carbon nitride显示文摘As a prospective visible-light-responsive photochemical material,graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))has become a burgeoning research hot topics and aroused a wide interest as a metal-free semiconductor in the area of energy utilization and conversion,environmental protection due to its unique properties,such as facile synthesis,high physicochemical stability,excellent electronic band structure,and sustainability.However,the shortcomings of high recombination rate of charge carriers,relatively low electrical conductivity and visible light absorption impede its practical application.Various strategies,such as surface photosensitization,heteroatom deposition,semiconductor hybridization,etc.,have been applied to overcome the barriers.Among all the strategies,functional nanocarbon materials with various dimensions(0D~3D)attract much attention as modifiers of g-C_(3)N_(4)due to their unique electronic properties,optical properties,and easy functionalization.More importantly,the properties of these functional nanocarbon materials can be tuned by various dimensions and thus there will be a way to overcome the defects of g-C_(3)N_(4)by choosing different dimensional carbon materials.Distinguishing from some present reviews,this review starts with the fundamental physicochemical characteristics of g-C_(3)N_(4)materials,followed by analyzing the advantages of functional nanocarbon materials modifying gC_(3)N_(4).Then,we present a systematic introduction to various dimensional carbon materials.The design philosophy of carbon/g-C_(3)N_(4)composites and the advanced studies are exemplified in detail.Finally,a nichetargeting summary and outlook on the major challenges,opportunities for future research in high-powered carbon/g-C_(3)N_(4)composites was proposed.Bin He Mi Feng Xinyan Chen Jian Sun 2021Green Energy & Environment2021,6,6:3
10CNOP-P-based parameter sensitivity for double-gyre variation in ROMS with simulated annealing algorithm显示文摘Reducing the error of sensitive parameters by studying the parameters sensitivity can reduce the uncertainty of the model,while simulating double-gyre variation in Regional Ocean Modeling System(ROMS).Conditional Nonlinear Optimal Perturbation related to Parameter(CNOP-P)is an effective method of studying the parameters sensitivity,which represents a type of parameter error with maximum nonlinear development at the prediction time.Intelligent algorithms have been widely applied to solving Conditional Nonlinear Optimal Perturbation(CNOP).In the paper,we proposed an improved simulated annealing(SA)algorithm to solve CNOP-P to get the optimal parameters error,studied the sensitivity of the single parameter and the combination of multiple parameters and verified the effect of reducing the error of sensitive parameters on reducing the uncertainty of model simulation.Specifically,we firstly found the non-period oscillation of kinetic energy time series of double gyre variation,then extracted two transition periods,which are respectively from high energy to low energy and from low energy to high energy.For every transition period,three parameters,respectively wind amplitude(WD),viscosity coefficient(VC)and linear bottom drag coefficient(RDRG),were studied by CNOP-P solved with SA algorithm.Finally,for sensitive parameters,their effect on model simulation is verified.Experiments results showed that the sensitivity order is WD>VC>>RDRG,the effect of the combination of multiple sensitive parameters is greater than that of single parameter superposition and the reduction of error of sensitive parameters can effectively reduce model prediction error which confirmed the importance of sensitive parameters analysis.YUAN Shijin ZHANG Huazhen LI Mi MU Bin 2019Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2019,37,3:3
11Wear Property of Cast Steel Wheel Material in Rail Truck显示文摘Wear property of material plays a key role in the service time of workpiece. A major objective in the development of new wheel materials is to improve the wear performance. The wear property of B and B+ grade cast steel materials was reported. The results showed that B+ grade cast steel material exhibited better wear property than the B grade material. 12Synthesis and modification of biomass derived carbon dots in ionic liquids and their application: A mini review显示文摘As one kind of promising zero-dimensional nanomaterials,carbon dots(CDs)have attracted extensive attention recently in green chemistry and engineering on account of their excellent properties,such as water solubility,comparable optical properties,low toxicity,and surface passivation and functionalization.One direction in CDs research is to prepare these materials with low cost and high quantum yield(QY).As an alternative protocol,utilizing biomass or its derivatives as the raw materials would create more chances to produce biocompatible and cheap CDs.Due to the good solvability for biomass,various ionic liquids(ILs)have been tested in the field of biomass derived CDs,which are found multiple roles of solvation and surface functionalization in the synthesis and application of these materials.This review will not cover the whole developed picture of CDs,but just summarizes the latest research progresses on the ILs based preparation and applications of CDs from biomass and its derivatives.The roles of ILs displayed in the corresponding processing including intensification and surface modification were discussed in detail.At the end of this review,an outlook was provided to highlight the challenges and opportunities associated with this interesting and promising area.Yumeng Wang Jian Sun Bin He Mi Feng 2020Green Chemical Engineering2020,1,2:3
13Arg462Gln and Asp541Glu polymorphisms in ribonuclease L and prostate cancer risk:a meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:The association between ribonuclease L(RNASEL)gene polymorphisms and prostate cancer risk has been widely reported,but the results of these studies remained controversial and underpowered.We performed a meta-analysis of 28 studies to evaluate the association between Arg462Gln and Asp541Glu polymorphisms in the RNASEL gene and prostate cancer risk.Methods:Odds ratios(ORs)with 95%confidence intervals(CIs) were estimated to assess the association between RNASEL polymorphisms and prostate cancer risk.Results:A significantly increased prostate cancer risk was found for the Arg462Gln polymorphism in Africans(Gln/Gln vs Arg/Arg:OR=2.50,95%CI=1.28-4.87;Gln/Gln vs Gln/Arg+Arg/Arg:OR=2.54,95%CI=1.30-4.95),but not in Europeans and Asians.Additionally,the Asp541Glu polymorphism was associated with increased total prostate cancer risk(Glu-allele vs Asp-allele:OR=1.04,95%CI=1.01-1.07;Glu/Glu vs Asp/Asp:OR=1.22,95%CI= 1.03-1.46;Glu/Glu vs Glu/Asp+Asp/Asp:OR=1.09,95%CI=1.02-1.16).In the stratified analysis for the Asp541Glu polymorphism,there was a significantly increased prostate cancer risk in Africans and Europeans,and in hospital-based prostate cancer cases.Conclusion:The meta-analysis results showed evidence that RNASEL Arg462Gln and Asp541Glu polymorphisms are associated with prostate cancer risk and could be low-penetrance prostate cancer susceptibility biomarkers.Yuanyuan Mi Qianqian Yu Zhichao Min Bin Xu Lifeng Zhang Wei Zhang Ninghan Feng L ixin Hua 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,5:2

15High sensitivity SPR sensor for liquid phase sample with Ag/PbS/Graphene hybrid nanostructure显示文摘A surface plasmon resonance(SPR)sensor with Ag/PbS/GR hybrid nanostructure has been proposed for the diagnostics of liquid phase samples.Here Ag/PbS/GR hybrid nanostructure is designed as an asymmetric MIM waveguide for surface plasmon.Due to the guided wave SPR(GWSPR)modes,the index of the liquid phase samples can be measured more accurately than the conventional SPR sensors.Numerical simulation results show that the sensitivity of the sensor is about 5 times higher than the conventional SPR sensors.The origin of the enhancement mechanism is the combination of GWSPR in the Ag/PbS/GR hybrid nanostructure which enables the surface plasmon to spread along the PbS layer.In Ag/PbS/GR hybrid nanostructure,the electric field is concentrated mostly in the PbS layer,and the enhancement of the field intensity is nearly30%.Kexiu Dong Yanping Ji Jiajia Mi Xiaotong Zhao Bin Wu Wangxia Huang Jianping Shi 2017光电工程2017,44,2:2

17Optimal precursors of double-gyre regime transitions with an adjoint-free method显示文摘In this paper, we find the optimal precursors which can cause double-gyre regime transitions based on conditional nonlinear optimal perturbation (CNOP) method with Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS). Firstly, we simulate the multiple-equilibria regimes of double-gyre circulation under different viscosity coefficient and obtain the bifurcation diagram, then choose two equilibrium states (called jet-up state and jet-down state) as reference states respectively, propose Principal Component Analysis-based Simulated Annealing (PCASA) algorithm to solve CNOP-type initial perturbations which can induce double-gyre regime transitions between jet-up state and jet-down state. PCASA algorithm is an adjoint-free method which searches optimal solution randomly in the whole solution space. In addition, we investigate CNOP-type initial perturbations how to evolve with time. The results show:(1) the CNOP-type perturbations present a two-cell structure, and gradually evolves into a three-cell structure at predictive time;(2) by superimposing CNOP-type perturbations on the jet-up state and integrating ROMS, double-gyre circulation transfers from jet-up state to jet-down state, and vice versa, and random initial perturbations don't cause the transitions, which means CNOP-type perturbations are the optimal precursors of double-gyre regime transitions;(3) by analyzing the transition process of double-gyre regime transitions, we find that CNOP-type initial perturbations obtain energy from the background state through both barotropic and baroclinic instabilities, and barotropic instability contributes more significantly to the fast-growth of the perturbations. 19Phytogenic feed additives alleviate pathogenic Escherichia coli-induced intestinal damage through improving barrier integrity and inhibiting inflammation in weaned pigs显示文摘Background:This study was conducted to investigate the effects of each phytogenic feed additive(PFA;PFA1,bitter citrus extract;PFA2,a microencapsulated blend of thymol and carvacrol;PFA3,a mixture of bitter citrus extract,thymol,and carvacrol;PFA4,a premixture of grape seed,grape marc extract,green tea,and hops;PFA5,fenugreek seed powder)on the growth performance,nutrient digestibility,intestinal morphology,and immune response in weaned pigs infected with Escherichia coli(E.coli).Results:A total of 634-week-old weaned pigs were placed in individual metabolic cages and assigned to seven treatment groups.The seven treatments were as follows:1)NC;basal diet without E.coli challenge,2)PC;basal diet with E.coli challenge,3)T1;PC+0.04%PFA1,4)T2;PC+0.01%PFA2,5)T3;PC+0.10%PFA3,6)T4;PC+0.04%PFA4,7)T5;PC+0.10%PFA5.The experiments lasted in 21 d,including 7 d before and 14 d after the first E.coli challenge.In the E.coli challenge treatments,all pigs were orally inoculated by dividing a total of 10 mL of E.coli F18 for 3 consecutive days.The PFA-added groups significantly increased(P<0.05)average daily gain and feed efficiency and decreased(P<0.05)the fecal score at d 0 to 14 post-inoculation(PI).Tumor necrosis factorαwas significantly lower(P<0.05)in the PFA-added groups except for T1 in d 14 PI compared to the PC treatment.The T3 had a higher(P<0.05)immunoglobulin G and immunoglobulin A concentration compared to the PC treatment at d 7 PI.Also,T3 showed significantly higher(P<0.05)villus height:crypt depth and claudin 1 expression in ileal mucosa,and significantly downregulated(P<0.05)the expression of calprotectin compared to the PC treatment.Conclusions:Supplementation of PFA in weaned pigs challenged with E.coli alleviated the negative effects of E.coli and improved growth performance.Among them,the mixed additive of bitter citrus extract,thymol,and carvacrol showed the most effective results,improving immune response,intestinal morphology,and expression of tight junctions.Se Yeon Chang Min Ho Song Ji Hwan Lee Han Jin Oh Yong Ju Kim Jae Woo An Young Bin Go Dong Cheol Song Hyun AhCho Seung Yeol Cho Dong Jun Kim Mi Suk Kim Hyeun Bum Kim Jin Ho Cho 2023Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,1:1
20Reversible Magnesium Metal Anode Enabled by Cooperative Solvation/Surface Engineering in Carbonate Electrolytes显示文摘Magnesium metal anode holds great potentials toward future high energy and safe rechargeable magnesium battery technology due to its divalent redox and dendrite-free nature. Electrolytes based on Lewis acid chemistry enable the reversible Mg plating/stripping,while they fail to match most cathode materials toward highvoltage magnesium batteries. Herein,reversible Mg plating/stripping is achieved in conventional carbonate electrolytes enabled by the cooperative solvation/surface engineering. Strongly electronegative Cl from the MgCl_(2) additive of electrolyte impairs the Mg…O = C interaction to reduce the Mg^(2+) desolvation barrier for accelerated redox kinetics,while the Mg^(2+)-conducting polymer coating on the Mg surface ensures the facile Mg^(2+) migration and the e ective isolation of electrolytes. As a result,reversible plating and stripping of Mg is demonstrated with a low overpotential of 0.7 V up to 2000 cycles. Moreover,benefitting from the wide electrochemical window of carbonate electrolytes,high-voltage(> 2.0 V) rechargeable magnesium batteries are achieved through assembling the electrode couple of Mg metal anode and Prussian blue-based cathodes.
