2Recent developments and consideration issues in solid adsorbents for CO_2 capture from flue gas显示文摘The increase in energy demand caused by industrialization leads to abundant CO_2 emissions into atmosphere and induces abrupt rise in earth temperature. It is vital to acquire relatively simple and cost-effective technologies to separate CO_2 from the flue gas and reduce its environmental impact. Solid adsorption is now considered an economic and least interfering way to capture CO_2, in that it can accomplish the goal of small energy penalty and few modifications to power plants. In this regard, we attempt to review the CO_2 adsorption performances of several types of solid adsorbents, including zeolites, clays, activated carbons, alkali metal oxides and carbonates, silica materials, metal–organic frameworks, covalent organic frameworks, and polymerized high internal phase emulsions. These solid adsorbents have been assessed in their CO_2 adsorption capacities along with other important parameters including adsorption kinetics, effect of water, recycling stability and regenerability. 3Conductive photo-thermal responsive bifunctional hydrogel system with self-actuating and self-monitoring abilities显示文摘Despite enormous efforts in actuators,most researches are only limited to various actuation behaviors and demonstrations of soft materials.It has not yet been reported to capture and monitor its movement status in an invisible environment.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop a self-sensing and self-actuating dual-function hydrogel actuator system to realize real-time monitoring.Here,we report a bifunctional hydrogel system with self-actuating and self-monitoring abilities,which combines the functions of photothermal actuation and electrical resistance sensing into a single material.The bilayer tough conductive hydrogel synthesized by unconventional complementary concentration recombination and cryogenic freezing technique presents a dense conductive network and high-porosity structure,achieving high toughness at 190.3 kPa of tensile strength,high stretchability(164.3%strain),and the toughness dramatically(1,471.4 kJ·m^(−3)).The working mechanism of the monitoring and self-sensing system is accomplished through the integrated monitoring device of surface temperature–bending angle–electron current,to solve the problem of not apperceiving actuator motion state when encountering obstacles in an invisible environment.We demonstrated for the first time a photothermal actuator’s motion of a football player and goalkeeper to finish the penalty and a soft actuator hand,which can achieve the action of sticking to grab and release under photo-thermal actuation.When connected to the control closed circuit,the actuator realized closed-loop monitoring and sensing feedback.The development of bifunctional hydrogel systems may bring new opportunities and ideas in the fields of material science,circuit technology,sensors,and mechanical engineering.Neng Chen Yang Zhou Yinping Liu Yuanyuan Mi Sisi Zhao Wang Yang Sai Che Hongchen liu FengJiang Chen Chong Xu Guang Ma Xue Peng Yongfeng Li 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:3
4Arg462Gln and Asp541Glu polymorphisms in ribonuclease L and prostate cancer risk:a meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:The association between ribonuclease L(RNASEL)gene polymorphisms and prostate cancer risk has been widely reported,but the results of these studies remained controversial and underpowered.We performed a meta-analysis of 28 studies to evaluate the association between Arg462Gln and Asp541Glu polymorphisms in the RNASEL gene and prostate cancer risk.Methods:Odds ratios(ORs)with 95%confidence intervals(CIs) were estimated to assess the association between RNASEL polymorphisms and prostate cancer risk.Results:A significantly increased prostate cancer risk was found for the Arg462Gln polymorphism in Africans(Gln/Gln vs Arg/Arg:OR=2.50,95%CI=1.28-4.87;Gln/Gln vs Gln/Arg+Arg/Arg:OR=2.54,95%CI=1.30-4.95),but not in Europeans and Asians.Additionally,the Asp541Glu polymorphism was associated with increased total prostate cancer risk(Glu-allele vs Asp-allele:OR=1.04,95%CI=1.01-1.07;Glu/Glu vs Asp/Asp:OR=1.22,95%CI= 1.03-1.46;Glu/Glu vs Glu/Asp+Asp/Asp:OR=1.09,95%CI=1.02-1.16).In the stratified analysis for the Asp541Glu polymorphism,there was a significantly increased prostate cancer risk in Africans and Europeans,and in hospital-based prostate cancer cases.Conclusion:The meta-analysis results showed evidence that RNASEL Arg462Gln and Asp541Glu polymorphisms are associated with prostate cancer risk and could be low-penetrance prostate cancer susceptibility biomarkers.Yuanyuan Mi Qianqian Yu Zhichao Min Bin Xu Lifeng Zhang Wei Zhang Ninghan Feng L ixin Hua 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,5:2
5Synthesis of monodispersed Fe3O4@C core/shell nanoparticles显示文摘We report a facile method to synthesize dispersed Fe_3O_4@C nanoparticles(NPs). Fe_3O_4 NPs were firstly prepared via the high temperature diol thermal decomposition method. Fe_3O_4@C NPs were fabricated using glucose as a carbon source by hydrothermal process. The obtained products were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM) and Raman spectra. The results indicate that the original shapes and magnetic property of Fe_3O_4 NPs can be well preserved. The magnetic particles are well dispersed in the carbon matrix. This strategy would provide an efficient approach for existing applications in Li-ion batteries and drug delivery. 6Nonlinear Equations Solving with Intelligent Optimization Algorithms: A Survey显示文摘Nonlinear Equations(NEs),which may usually have multiple roots,are ubiquitous in diverse fields.One of the main purposes of solving NEs is to locate as many roots as possible simultaneously in a single run,however,it is a difficult and challenging task in numerical computation.In recent years,Intelligent Optimization Algorithms(IOAs)have shown to be particularly effective in solving NEs.This paper provides a comprehensive survey on IOAs that have been exploited to locate multiple roots of NEs.This paper first revisits the fundamental definition of NEs and reviews the most recent development of the transformation techniques.Then,solving NEs with IOAs is reviewed,followed by the benchmark functions and the performance comparison of several state-of-the-art algorithms.Finally,this paper points out the challenges and some possible open issues for solving NEs.Wenyin Gong Zuowen Liao Xianyan Mi Ling Wang Yuanyuan Guo 2021Complex System Modeling and Simulation2021,1,1:2

9Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell transfusion in immune non-responders with AIDS:a multicenter randomized controlled trial显示文摘We examined the safety and efficacy of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell(hUC-MSC)infusion for immune nonresponder(INR)patients with chronic HIV-1 infection,who represent an unmet medical need even in the era of efficient antiretroviral therapy(ART).Seventy-two INR patients with HIV were enrolled in this phase II randomized,double-blinded,multicenter,placebo-controlled,dose-determination trial(NCT01213186)from May 2013 to March 2016.They were assigned to receive high-dose(1.5 x 106/kg body weight)or low-dose(0.5 x 106/kg body weight)hUC-MSC,or placebo.Their clinical and immunological parameters were monitored during the 96-week follow-up study.We found that hUC-MSC treatment was safe and well-tolerated.Compared with baseline,there was a statistical increase in CD4+T counts in the high-dose(P<0.001)and low-dose(P<0.001)groups after 48-week treatment,but no change was observed in the control group.Kaplan-Meier analysis revealed a higher cumulative probability of achieving an immunological response in the low-dose group compared with the control group(95.8%vs.70.8%,P=0.00A).However,no significant changes in CD4/CD84-T counts and CD4/CD8 ratios were observed among the three groups.In summary,hUC-MSC treatment is safe.However,the therapeutic efficacy of hUC-MSC treatment to improve the immune reconstitution in INR patients still needs to be further investigated in a large cohort study.Lifeng Wang Zheng Zhang Ruonan Xu Xicheng Wang Zhanjun Shu Xiejie Chen Siyu Wang Jiaye Liu Yuanyuan Li Li Wang Mi Zhang Wei Yang Ying Wang Huihuang Huang Bo Tu Zhiwei Liang Linghua Li Jingxin Li Yuying Hou Ming Shi Fu-Sheng Wang 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,7:0
10Uptake of hepatitis C direct-acting antiviral treatment in China:a retrospective study from 2017 to 2021显示文摘Background Direct-acting antivirals(DAAs)for hepatitis C treatment in China became available since 2017.This study expects to generate evidence to inform decision-making in a nationwide scale-up of DAA treatment in China.Methods We described the number of standard DAA treatment at both national and provincial levels in China from 2017 to 2021 based on the China Hospital Pharmacy Audit(CHPA)data.We performed interrupted time series analysis to estimate the level and trend changes of the monthly number of standard DAA treatment at national level.We also adopted the latent class trajectory model(LCTM)to form clusters of the provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs)with similar levels and trends of number of treatment,and to explore the potential enablers of the scale-up of DAA treatment at provincial level.Results The number of 3-month standard DAA treatment at national level increased from 104 in the last two quarters of 2017 to 49,592 in the year of 2021.The estimated DAA treatment rates in China were 1.9%and 0.7%in 2020 and 2021,which is far below the global target of 80%.The national price negotiation at the end of 2019 resulted in DAA inclusion by the national health insurance in January 2020.In that month,the number of treatment increased 3668 person-times(P<0.05).LCTM fits the best when the number of trajectory class is four.PLADs as Tianjin,Shanghai and Zhejiang that had piloted DAA price negotiations before the national negotiation and that had explored integration of hepatitis service delivery with prevention and control programme of hepatitis C within the existing services demonstrated earlier and faster scale-up of treatment.Conclusions Central negotiations to reduce prices of DAAs resulted in inclusion of DAA treatment under the universal health insurance,which are critical elements that support scaling up access to hepatitis C treatment in China.However,the current treatment rates are still far below the global target.Targeting the PLADs lagged behind through raising public awareness,strengthening capacity of the healthcare providers by roving training,and integrate prevention,screening,diagnosis,treatment and follow-up management of hepatitis C into the existing services are needed.Xinyu Du Jiarun Mi Hanchao Cheng Yuanyuan Song Yuchang Li Jing Sun Polin Chan Zhongdan Chen Simon Luo 2023Infectious Diseases of Poverty2023,12,2:0
11Observation on the Effect of Integrated Medical and Nursing Care in Patients with Pulmonary Tuberculosis Combined with Lung Cancer显示文摘Objective:To explore the effect of integrated medical and nursing care in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis combined with lung cancer.Methods:From August 2021 to August 2022,60 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis combined with lung cancer were admitted.All patients were diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis according to the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Pulmonary Tuberculosis and with lung cancer by pathology.The patients were randomly divided into two groups,with 30 cases in each group.The control group received daily nursing care,whereas the study group received integrated medical and nursing care.The sputum conversion rate,tumor remission rate,and quality of life of patients were observed and analyzed.Results:The item function score and symptom function score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05);the total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);the sputum conversion rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with pulmonary tuberculosis combined with lung cancer,the application of integrated medical and nursing care can help consolidate the treatment effect and improve the quality of life of patients;thus,it is worthy of promotion and application.Wei Yuan Yuanyuan Lu Mi Zhang Min Zheng Xing Luan Yanling Feng Linlin Chai 2023Proceedings of Anticancer Research2023,7,3:0
12Biologically inspired anthraquinone redox centers and biomass graphene for renewable colloidal gels toward ultrahigh-performance flexible micro-supercapacitors显示文摘Biomass carbon and small redox biomolecules are attractive materials for green,sustainable energy storage devices owing to their environmentally friendly,low-cost,scalable,and novel sources.However,most devices manufactured using these materials have low specific capacitance,poor cycle stability,short lifetime,complexity,and low precision of device fabrication.Herein,we report the directed self-assembly of mononuclear anthraquinone(MAQ)derivatives and porous lignin-based graphene oxide(PLGO)into a renewable colloidal gel through noncovalent interactions.These self-assembled gel electrode materials exhibited high capacitance(484.8 F g^(−1) at a current density of 1 A g^(−1))and could be further printed as flexible micro-supercapacitors(FMSCs)with arbitrary patterns and a relatively high resolution on specific substrates.The FMSCs exhibited excellent areal capacitance(43.6 mF cm^(−2)),energy and power densities(6.1μWh cm^(−2) and 50μW cm^(−2),respectively),and cycle stability(>10,000 cycles).Furthermore,the printed FMSCs and integrated FMSC arrays exhibited remarkable flexibility while maintaining a stable capacitance.The proposed approach can be applied to other quinone biomolecules and biomass-based carbon materials.This study provides a basis for fabricating green and sustainable energy storage device architectures with high capacitance,long-term cycling,high scalability,and high precision.Tiansheng Wang Shunyou Hu Yuanyuan Hu Dong Wu Hao Wu Jinxu Huang Hao Wang Weiwei Zhao Wen Yu Mi Wang Jie Xu Jiaheng Zhang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,20:0

15Robust and conductive hydrogel based on mussel adhesive chemistry for remote monitoring of body signals显示文摘There is a high demand for hydrogels with multifunctional performance(a combination of adhesive,mechanical,and electrical properties)in biological,tissue engineering,robotics,and smart device applications.However,a majority of existing hydrogels are relatively rigid and brittle,with limited stretchability;this hinders their application in the emerging field of flexible devices.In this study,cheap and abundant potato residues were used with polyacrylamide(PAM)to fabricate a multifunctional hydrogel,and chitosan was used for the design of a three-dimentional(3D)network-structured hydrogel.The as-prepared hydrogels exhibited excellent stretchability,with an extension exceeding 900%and a recovery degree of over 99%.Due to the combination of physical and chemical cross-linking properties and the introduction of dopamine,the designed hydrogel exhibits a remarkable self-healing ability(80%mechanical recovery in 2 h),high tensile strength(0.75 MPa),and ultra-stretchability(900%).The resultant products offer superior properties compared to those of previously reported tough and self-healing hydrogels for wound adhesion.Chitosan and potato residues were used as scaffold materials for the hydrogels with excellent mechanical properties.In addition,in vitro experiments show that these hydrogels feature excellent antibacterial properties,effectively hindering the reproduction of bacteria.Moreover,the ternary hydrogel can act as a strain sensor with high sensitivity and a gauge factor of 1.6.The proposed strategy is expected to serve as a reference for the development of green and recyclable conductive polymers to fabricate hydrogels.The proposed hydrogel can also act as a suitable strain sensor for bio-friendly devices such as smart wearable electronic devices and/or for health monitoring.Weijun LI Hao LIU Yuanyuan MI Miaoran ZHANG Jinmiao SHI Ming ZHAO Melvin A.RAMOS Travis Shihao HU Jianxiong LI Meng XU Quan XU 2022Friction2022,10,1:0
16Association between p53 Pro72Arg polymorphism and prostate cancer risk:a meta-analysis显示文摘The tumor suppressor gene p53 appears to be important in the development of many human cancers, such as prostate cancer. The association of p53 codon72 polymorphism with prostate cancer has been widely reported; however, the results are inconsistent. To derive a more precise estimation of this relationship, we performed an updated meta-analysis from 10 case-control studies. We conducted a search in the PubMed database without a language limitation, covering all papers published until July 2010. Risk ratios (RR) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to assess the strength of the association. Ten studies including 1,196 cases and 1,704 controls were selected. Overall, no significant differences of total prostate cancer risk and p53 codon polymorphism was found (Pro/Pro vs Arg/Arg, RR = 1.12, 95%CI=0.74-1.70, P heterogeneity = 0.016, I 2 = 55.8%; Pro/Pro+Pro/Arg vs Arg/ Arg, RR = 1.05, 95%CI=1.00-1.11, P heterogeneity = 0.077, I 2 = 51.1%). In the stratified analysis by ethnicity, the same results were found. However, in the control subgroup, there was a modest decreased association between prostate cancer risk and population-based control subjects under the recessive genetic model (RR = 0.31, 95%CI=0.10-0.91, P heterogeneity = 0.110, I 2 =60.8%).
