1Effects of environmental contaminants on fertility and reproductive health显示文摘Recent research indicates that the human infertility rate is increasing. Although various reasons have been hypothesized for the growing infertility rate, environmental contaminants are potentially important causal agents associated with this change.Chemical contaminants are widespread throughout our environment and human exposure is virtually unavoidable. The overall contribution of environmental exposure to infertility is unknown, but studies involving occupational exposure, together with results from animal experiments, suggest that environmental contaminants may adversely affect fertility. We reviewed the adverse effects of environmental exposure on fertility and related reproductive outcomes. Environmental contaminants covered in this review include heavy metals, organic solvents, pesticides and endocrine disrupting chemicals. 2Development of a Label-Free Colorimetric Aptasensor with Rationally Utilized Aptamer for Rapid Detection of Okadaic Acid显示文摘Okadaic acid(OA)is a typical marine toxin with strong toxicity causing diarrheic shellfish poisoning(DSP).Aptamers show great advantages in toxin detection and attract increasing attentions in the field of food analysis.In this study,a label-free col-orimetric aptasensor was constructed for visual and rapid detection of OA in shellfish.To exploit the binding capability of the anti-OA aptamer,the inherent molecular recognition mechanism of aptamer and OA was studied,based on molecular docking,fluorescent assay,and biolayer interferometry.Consistent results showed that the stem-loop near the 3’terminal of the aptamer exhibit dominate binding capacity.Based on the revealed recognition information,the aptamer was thus rationally utilized and combined with AuNPs and cationic polymer polydiallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride(PDDA)for the development of the label-free colorimetric aptasensor,in which the 3’terminal was thoroughly exposed to OA.The aptasensor provided robust performance with a linear detection range of 100-1200 nmol L-1,a limit of detection of 41.30 nmol L-1,recovery rates of 91.6%-106.2%,as well as a high selectivity towards OA in shellfish samples.The whole detection process can be completed within 1 h.To our best knowledge,this is the first time that the anti-OA aptamer was thoroughly studied,and a label-free colorimetric aptasensor was rationally designed in this way.This study not only provides a rapid detection method for highly sensitive and specific detection of OA,but also serves as a reference for the design of efficient aptasensors in the future.YAN Xiaochen QI Xiaoyan ZHAO Yinglin LI Ling MA Rui WANG Lele WANG Sai MAO Xiangzhao 2022Journal of Ocean University of China2022,21,2:2
3Late Paleozoic Element Migration and Accumulation under Intracontinental Sinistral Strike-slip Faulting in the West Junggar Orogenic Belt, NW China显示文摘The migration,accumulation and dispersion of elements caused by tectonic dynamics have always been a focus of attention,and become the basis of tectono-geochemistry.However,the effects of faulting,especially strike-slip faulting,on the adjustment of geochemical element distribution,are still not clear.In this paper,we select the West Junggar Orogenic Belt(WJOB),NW China,as a case study to test the migration behavior of elements under tectonic dynamics.The WJOB is dominated by NE-trending large-scale sinistral strike-slip faults such as the Darabut Fault,the Mayile Fault,and the Baerluke Fault,which formed during the intracontinental adjustment under N-S compression during ocean-continental conversion in the Late Paleozoic.Geochemical maps of 13 elements,Al,W,Sn,Mo,Cu,Pb,Zn,As,Sb,Hg,Fe,Ni,and Au,are analyzed for the effects of faulting and folding on element distribution at the regional scale.The results show that the element distribution in the WJOB is controlled mainly by two mechanisms during tectonic deformation:first is the material transporting mechanism,where the movement of geological units is consistent with the direction of tectonic movement;second is the diffusion mechanism,especially by tectonic pressure dissolution driven by tectonic dynamics,where the migration of elements is approximately perpendicular or opposite to the direction of tectonic movement.We conclude that the adjustment of element distributions has been determined by the combined actions of transporting and diffusion mechanisms,and that the diffusion mechanism plays an important role in the formation of geochemical Au blocks in the WJOB.WANG Ye CHEN Xuanhua NIE Lanshi DING Weicui WANG Xueqiu XU Shenglin MA Feizhou HAN Lele 2020Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,6:1

5A smart DNA nanodevice for ATP-activatable bioimaging and photodynamic therapy显示文摘Rational design of activatable photosensitizers for controlled generation of singlet oxygen remains a challenge for precise photodynamic therapy(PDT).Herein,we present an aptamer-based nanodevice for adenosine 5′-triphosphate(ATP)-activatable bioimaging and PDT.The nanodevice is constructed by modifying ATP-responsive duplex DNA units and polyethylene glycol on the surface of a gold nanoparticle(AuNP)through the thiolate-Au chemistry.The DNA units were designed by the hybridization of the ATP aptamer strand with a methylene blue(MB)-modified complementary DNA(cDNA).The close proximity of MB to the surface of AuNP results in the low photodynamic activity of MB(OFF state).Once internalized into cancer cells,the ATP-binding induced conformation switch of aptamer strand leads to the release of the MB-bearing DNA strand from AuNPs,resulting in the activatable generation of singlet oxygen under light irradiation(ON state).We demonstrate that the DNA nanodevice represents a promising platform for ATP-responsive bioimaging and specific PDT in vitro and in vivo.This work highlights a potential way for specific tumor diagnosis and therapy.Bei Liu Rui Ma Jian Zhao Yuliang Zhao Lele Li 2020Science China Chemistry2020,63,10:1

18Study on the freezing–thawing deformation of consolidated soils under high pressure显示文摘The freezing–thawing deformation behaviors of consolidated soils under high pressure have been investigated in a high-pressure-low-temperature(HPLT) K0 consolidation apparatus with a small strain sensor. The tests cover a variety of frozen soil temperatures ranging from-2 °C to-10 °C, and a series of applied pressures ranging from 1 MPa to 5 MPa. The test results show that, for the consolidated soils under high pressure, their freezing–thawing deformation was caused by the realignment and the deformation of soil particles, the phase change of water, and the water redistribution in the soil. As for the deformation produced by thermal expansion and contraction, it is about 0.04~0.05 mm, accounting for only about 7%~9% of the total deformation. Taking the freezing–thawing deformation produced by temperature disturbance as a creep deformation, the creep models of the developing soil deformation will be determined by the soil's final temperature, i.e., the desired temperature. For the soils under a desired temperature between-2 °C and-5 °C, the freezing–thawing deformation develops according to a non-attenuation creep model; but for the soils with a desired temperature lower than-5 °C, a full attenuation creep model is followed. The applied pressure and soil type also have a significant influence on the maximum freezing deformation. 19Screening and Identification of Biocontrol Strains against Bipolaris sorokiniana显示文摘Bipolaris sorokiniana is an important disease causing wheat root rot. Different biocontrol strains were screened with the pathogen as the target. A total of 210 strains of bacteria and fungi preserved in the laboratory were preliminarily and secondarily screened by plate confrontation culture. The 17 strains of bacteria and 36 strains of fungi with good bicontrol effect were screened. Eventually, the best fungal strain and the best bacterial strain were obtained. The ITS fragments of fungi were amplified by PCR, and the target band of 571 bp was obtained. The 16 S gene frag-ments of bacteria were amplified by PCR, and the target band of 1 455 bp was obtained. Through morphological observation, the screened strains were identified. 20Multi-affect(ed):improving recommendation with similarity-enhanced user reliability and influence propagation显示文摘Traditional recommendation algorithms predict the latent interest of an active user by collecting rating information from other similar users or items.Recently,more and more recommendation systems attempt to involve social relations to improve recommendation performance.However,the existing works either leave out the user reliability or cannot capture the correlation between two users who are similar but not socially connected.Besides,they also take the trust value between users either 0 or 1,thus degenerating the prediction accuracy.In this paper,we propose an efficient social affect model,multi-affect(ed),for recommendation via incorporating both users'reliability and influence propagation.Specifically,the model contains two main components,i.e.,computation of user reliability and influence propagation,designing of user-shared feature space.Firstly,a reliability calculation strategy based on user similarity is developed for measuring the recommendation accuracy between users.Then,the factor of influence propagation relationship among users is taken into consideration.Finally,the multi-affect(ed)model is developed with user-shared feature space to generate the predicted ratings.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed model achieves better accuracy than other counterparts recommendation techniques.Lele HUANG Huifang MA Xiangchun HE Liang CHANG 2021Frontiers of Computer Science2021,15,5:0
