1新能源制氢电力电子变换器综述显示文摘新能源发电与氢能相结合是实现'碳达峰'与'碳中和'目标的重要途径之一,其中,电力电子变换器被广泛应用。为了实现电解制氢系统高效运行,要求电力电子变换器具有低压大电流能力、低输出电流纹波、高降压比及高可靠性等特点。文中首先分析了电解器模型,并对目前商业化电解器的特点及技术指标进行研究。然后,对新能源电解制氢系统,包括碱性电解器、质子交换膜电解器和固体氧化物电解器中的电力电子变换器进行了整理和分类,并对各类拓扑进行了分析和对比。同时,对电力电子变换器在新能源制氢中潜在的应用、存在的问题以及发展的方向进行了讨论和总结。郭小强 魏玉鹏 万燕鸣 周友 孔令国 张哲 卢志刚 华长春 Mariusz MALINOWSKI 2021电力系统自动化2021,45,20:31
2Pharmacogenetics research on chemotherapy resistance in colorectal cancer over the last 20 years显示文摘During the past two decades the first sequencing of the human genome was performed showing its high degree of inter-individual differentiation,as a result of large international research projects(Human Genome Project,the 1000 Genomes Project International HapMap Project,and Programs for Genomic Applications NHLBI-PGA).This period was also a time of intensive development of molecular biology techniques and enormous knowledge growth in the biology of cancer.For clinical use in the treatment of patients with colorectal cancer(CRC),in addition to fluoropyrimidines,another two new cytostatic drugs were allowed:irinotecan and oxaliplatin.Intensive research into new treatment regimens and a new generation of drugs used in targeted therapy has also been conducted.The last 20years was a time of numerous in vitro and in vivo studies on the molecular basis of drug resistance.One of the most important factors limiting the effectiveness of chemotherapy is the primary and secondary resistance of cancer cells.Understanding the genetic factors and mechanisms that contribute to the lack of or low sensitivity of tumour tissue to cytostatics is a key element in the currently developing trend of personalized medicine.Scientists hope to increase the percentage of positive treatment response in CRC patients due to practical applications of pharmacogenetics/pharmacogenomics.Over the past 20 years the clinical usability of different predictive markers has been tested among which only a few have been confirmed to have high application potential.This review is a synthetic presentation of drug resistance in the context of CRC patient chemotherapy.The multifactorial nature and volume of the issues involved do not allow the author to present a comprehensive study on this subject in one review.Mariusz Panczyk 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,29:17
3Proteolytic-antiproteolytic balance and its regulation in carcinogenesis显示文摘Cancer development is essentially a tissue remodeling process in which normal tissue is substituted with cancer tissue. A crucial role in this process is attributed toproteolytic degradation of the extracellular matrix (ECM).Degradation of ECM is initiated by proteases, secreted by different cell types, participating in tumor cell invasion and increased expression or activity of every known class of proteases (metallo-, serine-, aspartyl-, and cysteine)has been linked to malignancy and invasion of tumor cells.Proteolytic enzymes can act directly by degrading ECM or indirectly by activating other proteases, which then degrade the ECM. They act in a determined order, resulting from the order of their activation. When proteases exert their action on other proteases, the end result is a cascade leading to proteolysis. Presumable order of events in this complicated cascade is that aspartyl protease (cathepsin D) activates cysteine proteases (e.g. cathepsin B) that can activate pro-uPA. Then active uPA can convert plasminogen into plasmin. Cathepsin B as well as plasmin are capable of degrading several components of tumor stroma and may activate zymogens of matrix metalloproteinases, the main family of ECM degrading proteases. The activities of these proteases are regulated by a complex array of activators,inhibitors and cellular receptors. Tn physiological conditions the balance exists between proteases and their inhibitors.Proteolytic-antiproteolytic balance may be of major significance in the cancer development. One of the reasons for such a situation is enhanced generation of free radicals observed in many pathological states. Free radicals react with main cellular components like proteins and lipids and in this way modify proteolytic-antiproteolytic balance and enable penetration damaging cellular membrane. 4Lipid peroxidation and antioxidant status in colorectal cancer显示文摘AIM: Reactive oxygen species (ROS) can induce carcinogenesis via DNA injury. Both enzymatic and non-enzymatic parameters participate in cell protection against harmful influence of oxidative stress. The aim of the present study was to assess the levels of final lipid peroxidation products like malondialdehyde (MDA) and 4-hydroxy-2-nonenal (4-HNE) in primary colorectal cancer. Moreover, we analysed the activity of main antioxidative enzymes, superoxide dismutase (Cu, Zn-SOD),catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and glutathione reductase (GSSRG-R) and the level of nonenzymatic antioxidants (glutathione, vitamins C and E).METHODS: Investigations were conducted in 81 primary colorectal cancers. As a control, the same amount of sample was collected from macroscopically unchanged colon regions of the most distant location to the cancer.Homogenisation of specimens provided 10% homogenates for our evaluations. Activity of antioxidant enzymes and level of glutathione were determined by spectrophotometry.HPLC revealed levels of vitamins C and E and served as a method to detect terminal products of lipid peroxidation in colorectal cancer.RESULTS: Our studies demonstrated a statistically significant increase in the level of lipid peroxidation products (MDA-Adc.muc.-2.65±0.48 nmol/g, Adc. G3-2.15±0.44 nmol/g, clinical Ⅳ stage 4.04±0.47 nmol/g, P<0.001 and 4-HNE-Adc.muc.-0.44±0.07 nmol/g, Adc. G3-0.44±0.10 nmol/g, clinical Ⅳstage 0.52±0.11 nmol/g, P<0.001) as well as increase of Cu,Zn-SOD (Adc.muc.-363±72 U/g, Adc. G3-318±48 U/g,clinical Ⅳ stage 421±58 U/g, P<0.001), GSH-Px (Adc.muc.-2143±623 U/g, Adc. G3-2005±591 U/g, clinical Ⅳ stage 2467±368 U/g, P<0.001) and GSSG-R (Adc. muc.-880±194 U/g,Adc. G3-795±228 U/g, dinical Ⅳ stage 951±243 U/g, P<0.001)in primary tumour comparison with normal colon (MDA1.39±0.15 nmol/g, HNE-0.29±0.03 nmol/g, Cu, Zn-SOD-117±25 U/g, GSH-Px-1723±189 U/g, GSSG-R-625±112 U/g)especially in mucinous and G3-grade adenocarcinomas as well as clinical Ⅳ stage of colorectal cancer. We also observed a decrease of CAT activity (Adc.muc. -40±14 U/g,clinical Ⅳ stage 33±18 U/g vs84±17 U/g, P<0.001) as well as a decreased level of reduced glutathione (clinical Ⅳ stage 150±48 nmol/g vs 167±15 nmol/g, P<0.05) and vitamins C and E (vit. C-clinical Ⅳ stage 325±92 nmol/g vs 513±64 nmol/g, P<0.001; vit. 5Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma of the liver as a rare indication for liver transplantation显示文摘AIM: To investigate the indications and outcomes of liver transplantation for hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma(HEHE). METHODS: Between 1989 and August 2013, in the Department of General, Transplant, and Liver Surgery, Medical University of Warsaw, 1306 orthotopic liver transplantations(OLTx) were performed, including 72 retransplantations. Unresectable HEHE was an indication for OLTx in 10 patients(0.8% of primary OLTx), the mean age of the patients was 40.5 ± 13.3 years(range 23-65 years), and the male-to-female ratio was 2:8. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis in HEHE, hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC), and other OLTx recipients groups was performed. The differences in mortality were compared using the χ2 test. A P-value < 0.05 indicated statistical significance.RESULTS: No concomitant liver disease was found in any patient. There was no neoadjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Liver function test results were normal in most of the patients. The levels of alpha-fetoprotein, carcinoembryonic antigen, and carbohydrate antigen 19-9 were normal. In immunohistochemical staining, the neoplastic cells were positive for factor Ⅷ-related antigen, CD31, and CD34, which are endothelial cell markers, and negative for cytokeratin 19, cytokeratin 7, and HepPar-1. Nine patients were alive without tumor recurrence. One patient died 2 mo after OLTx due to septic complications. No morbidity was observed. Maximum follow-up was 11.4 years, with a minimum of 1 mo. The cumulative survival rate at the end of followup in HEHE patients was 87.5% compared with 54.3% in the HCC group and 76.3% in the other OLTx recipients group(χ2 test = 1.784, df = 2, P = 0.409).CONCLUSION: Unresectable HEHE, without extrahepatic metastases is an excellent indication for liver transplantation. 6先进航空材料焊接过程热裂纹研究进展显示文摘高焊接热裂纹敏感性是制约新一代合金材料在航空航天领域推广应用的技术瓶颈。本文分别从焊接热裂纹的产生机理和各类合金裂纹敏感性实验的角度梳理该方向的研究进展。焊接热裂纹主要包括凝固裂纹(在焊缝内部产生)和液化裂纹(在焊缝与部分熔化区交界处产生)。影响焊接热裂纹产生的因素包括材料成分、焊接热循环以及接头热应力。在梳理焊接热裂纹机理研究的基础上,分别总结了铝合金、镁合金、先进高强钢以及镍基合金焊接热裂纹的实验研究进展。建立考虑复杂多组元以及结晶形态对裂纹敏感性影响的量化判据,是该领域未来的重要发展方向。针对母材和焊材进行成分优化、添加形核剂或实施辅助工艺措施,是工程应用领域抑制热裂纹缺陷的有效方法。开展焊接热裂纹产生机理及其抑制方法研究,有助于突破新一代合金材料加工技术瓶颈,推进其在航空航天领域的应用。李红 闫维嘉 张禹 杜文博 栗卓新 MARIUSZ Bober SENKARA Jacek 2022材料工程2022,50,2:9
7Monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio as a prognostic factor in peripheral whole blood samples of colorectal cancer patients显示文摘BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer is the third most common malignancy worldwide.Therefore,it is critically important to identify new useful markers that can be easily obtained in routine practice.Inflammation is a crucial issue in the pathogenesis and development of cancer.AIM To evaluate the prognostic value of absolute monocyte count,monocyte to lymphocyte ratio(MLR),the combination of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR-PLR),and combined platelet and neutrophilto-lymphocyte ratio(PLT-NLR)in peripheral blood samples of patients with colorectal cancer undergoing surgery.METHODS We conducted a retrospective study of 160 patients with colorectal cancer who underwent surgery,and 42 healthy controls.The status of absolute monocyte count,MLR,NLR-PLR and PLT-NLR was calculated on the basis of blood samples obtained before and after surgery.Haematologic factors were examined in correlation with the type of tumour growth,tumour size,histological type,percentage of mucinous component,grade of malignancy,Tumour-Node-Metastasis stage,venous,lymphatic and perineural invasion of cancer cells,status of lymph node invasion and the presence of cancer cell deposits.The Kaplan-Meier method and the long-rank test were used to compare survival curves.To determine independent prognostic factors,univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression models were applied.RESULTS The PLT-NLR status was correlated with tumour size and the presence of perineural invasion(P=0.015;P=-0.174,P=0.037).Moreover,high NLR-PLR and PLR-NLR ratios in the blood samples obtained after surgery were positively associated with histological type of cancer and percentage of the mucinous component(NLR-PLR:P=0.002;P=0.009;PLR-NLR status:P=0.002;P=0.007).The analysis of 5-year disease-free survival showed that the MLR of whole blood obtained after surgery[HR=2.903,95%CI:(1.368-6.158),P=0.005]and the status of lymph node metastasis[HR=0.813,95%CI:(0.653-1.013),P=0.050]were independent prognostic factors in colorectal cancer patients.CONCLUSION The postoperative MLR in whole blood samples can be used as an independent prognostic factor in patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer.Katarzyna Jakubowska Mariusz Koda Małgorzata Grudzinska Luiza Kanczuga-Koda Waldemar Famulski 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,31:8
8Comprehensive Approach for Porous Materials Analysis Using a Dedicated Preprocessing Tool for Mass and Heat Transfer Modeling显示文摘The paper presents a comprehensive, newly developed software – poROSE(poROus materials examination SoftwarE) for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of porous materials and analysis methodologies developed by the authors as a solution for emerging challenges. A low porosity rock sample was analyzed and thanks to the developed and implemented methodologies in poROSE software, the main geometrical properties were calculated. A tool was also used in preprocessing part of the computational analysis to prepare a geometrical representation of the porous material. The basic functions as elimination of blind pores in the geometrical model were completed and the geometrical model was exported for CFD software. As a result, it was possible to carry out calculations of the basic properties of the analyzed porous material sample. The developed tool allows to carry out quantitative and qualitative analysis to determine the most important properties characterized porous materials. In presented tool the input data can be images from X-ray computed tomography(CT), scanning electron microscope(SEM) or focused ion beam with scanning electron microscope(FIB-SEM) in grey level. A geometric model developed in the proper format can be used as an input to modeling mass, momentum and heat transfer, as well as, in strength or thermo-strength analysis of any porous materials. In this example, thermal analysis was carried out on the skeleton of rock sample. 10Evaluation of serum catnepsin B and D in relation to diniGopatnological staging of colorectal cancer显示文摘AIM: Proteolytic degradation of the extracellular matrix facilitates cancer invasion and promotes metastasis. The study aims at evaluation of preoperative and postoperative serum cathepsins B and D levels in correlation with selected anatomoclinical features of colorectal cancer.METHODS: Blood samples were collected from 63colorectal cancer patients before curative operation of the tumor 10 d later. Blood that was obtained from 20healthy volunteers, served as a control. The activity of cathepsin B was measured with Bz-DL-arginine-pNA as a substrate at pH 6.0, while cathepsin D activity was determined with urea-denatured hemoglobin (pH 4.0).RESULTS: The preoperative and postoperative activities of cathepsin B were significantly (P<0.00001) lower in serum of colorectal cancer patients than in control group.However, postoperative values of this protease were significantly increased in comparison with preoperative ones (P = 0.031). Activity of cathepsin D appeared to be significantly higher in colorectal cancer sera (P<0.00001)compared with controls. No statistically significant differences between preoperative and postoperative activity of cathepsin D were noted (P = 0.09). We revealed a strong linkage of cathepsins' levels with lymph node status and pT stage of colorectal cancer.CONCLUSION: Blood serum activities of cathepsin B and D depend on the time of sampling, tumor size and lymph node involvement. Significantly, increased activity of cathepsin D could indicate a malignant condition of the large intestine. 11Identifying the best therapy for chronic anal fissure显示文摘Chronic anal fissure(CAF)is a painful tear or crack which occurs in the anoderm.The optimal algorithm of therapy for CAF is still debated.Lateral internal sphincterotomy(LIS)is a surgical treatment,considered as the'gold standard'therapy for CAF.It relieves CAF symptoms with a high rate of healing.Chemical sphincterotomy(CS)with nitrates,calcium blockers or botulinum toxin(BTX)is safe,with the rapid relief of pain,mild sideeffects and no risk of surgery or anesthesia,but is a statistically less effective therapy for CAF than LIS.This article considers if aggressive treatment should only be offered to patients who fail pharmacological sphincterotomy.Aspects of anal fissure etiology,epidemiology and pathophysiology are considered with their meaning for further management of CAF.A molecular model of chemical interdependence significant for the chemistry of CAF healing is examined.Its application may influence the development of optimal therapy for CAF.BTX is currently considered the most effective type of CS and discussion in this article scrutinizes this method specifically.Although the effectiveness of BTXvs LIS has been discussed,the essential focus of the article concerns identifying the best therapy application for anal fissure.Elements are presented which may help us to predict CAF healing.They provide rationale for the expansion of the CAF therapy algorithm.Ethical and economic factors are also considered in brief.As long as the patient is willing to accept the potential risk of fecal incontinence,we have grounds for the'gold standard'(LIS)as the first-line treatment for CAF.The author concludes that,when the diagnosis of the anal fissure is established,CS should be considered for both ethical and economic reasons.He is convinced that a greater understanding and recognition of benign anal disorders by the GP and a proactive involvement at the point of initial diagnosis would facilitate the consideration of CS at an earlier,more practical stage with improved outcomes for the patient.Mariusz H Madalinski 2011World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pharmacology and Therapeutics2011,2,2:6
12Instrumented and Vickers Indentation for the Characterization of Stiffness,Hardness and Toughness of Zirconia Toughened Al_2O_3 and SiC Armor显示文摘Instrumented and Vickers indentation testing and microstructure analysis were used to investigate zirconia toughened alumina(ZTA) and silicon carbide(SiC).Several equations were studied to relate the Vickers indentation hardness,Young's modulus and crack behavior to the fracture toughness.The fracture in SiC is unstable and occurs primarily by cleavage leading to a relatively low toughness of 3 MPa m^(1/2),which may be inappropriate for multi-hit capability.ZTA absorbs energy by plastic deformation,pore collapse,crack deviation and crack bridging and exhibits time dependent creep.With a relatively high toughness around 6.6 MPa m^(1/2),ZTA is promising for multi-hit capability.The higher accuracy of mediar equations in calculating the indentation fracture toughness and the relatively high c/a ratios above 2.5suggest median type cracking for both SiC and ZTA.The Young's modulus of both ceramics was most accurately measured at lower indentation loads of about 0.5 kgf,while more accurate hardness and fracture toughness values were obtained at intermediate and at higher indentation loads beyond 5 kgf respectively.A strong indentation size effect(ISE) was observed in both materials.The load independent hardness of SiC is 2563 HV,putting it far above the standard armor hardness requirement of 1500 HV that is barely met by ZTA.Aleksandra Nastic Ali Merati Mariusz Bielawski Manon Bolduc Olaniyi Fakolujo Michel Nganbe 2015Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,8:6

14Connexin 26 correlates with Bcl-xL and Bax proteins expression in colorectal cancer显示文摘AIM: To evaluate of Cx26 in correlation with Bcl-xL and Bax proteins in colorectal cancer.METHODS: Immunohistochemical staining using specific antibodies was performed to evaluate the protein expression of Cx26, Bax and Bcl-xL in 152 colorectal cancer samples and the correlations among studied proteins as well as the relationships between the expression of Cx26,Bax, Bcl-xL and clinicopathological features were analyzed.RESULTS: Both normal epithelial cells and carcinoma cells expressed Cx26, Bax and Bcl-xL, but Cx26 in cancer cells showed aberrant, mainly cytoplasmic staining. Expression of Cx26, Bax and Bcl-xL was observed in 55.9%, 55.5%and 72.4% of evaluated colorectal cancers respectively.We found the positive correlation between Cx26 and Bax expression (r = 0.561, P<0.0001), Cx26 and Bcl-xL (r = 0.409, P<0.0001) as well as between Bax and Bcl-xL (r = 0.486, P<0.0001). 15Tannic acid and saponin for removing arsenic from brownfield soils: Mobilization, distribution and speciation显示文摘Plant biosurfactants were used for the first time to remove As and co-existing metals from brownfield soils. Tannic acid(TA), a polyphenol, and saponin(SAP), a glycoside were tested. The soil washing experiments were performed in batch conditions at constant biosurfactant concentration(3%). Both biosurfactants differed in natural pH, surface tension, critical micelle concentration and content of functional groups. After a single washing, TA(pH 3.44) more efficiently mobilized As than SAP(pH 5.44). When both biosurfactants were used at the same pH(SAP adjusted to 3.44), arsenic mobilization was improved by triple washing. The process efficiency for TA and SAP was similar, and depending on the soil sample, ranged between 50%–64%. Arsenic mobilization by TA and SAP resulted mainly from decomposition of Fe arsenates, followed by Fe3+complexation with biosurfactants. Arsenic was efficiently released from reducible and partially from residual fractions. In all soils, As(V) was almost completely removed, whereas content of As(III) was decreased by 37%–73%. 16Modeling study of a severe aerosol pollution event in December 2013over Shanghai China:An application of chemical data assimilation显示文摘This study focuses on the importance of initial conditions to air-quality predictions.We ran assimilation experiments using the WRF-Chem model and grid-point statistical interpolation(GSI),for a 9-day severe particulate matter pollution event that occurred in Shanghai in December 2013.In this application,GSI used a three-dimensional variational approach to assimilate ground-based PM2.5 observations into the chemical model,to obtain initial fields for the aerosol species.In our results,data assimilation significantly reduced the errors when compared to a simulation without assimilation,and improved forecasts of PM_(2.5)concentrations.Despite a drop in skill directly after the assimilation,a positive effect was present in forecasts for at least 12-24 h,and there was a slight improvement in the 48-h forecasts.In addition to performing well in Shanghai,the verification statistics for this assimilation experiment are encouraging for most of the surface stations in China.Jian-Bin Wu Jianming Xu Mariusz Pagowski Fuhai Geng Songqiang Gu Guangqiang Zhou Ying Xie Zhongqi Yu 2015Particuology2015,13,3:4
17Bax protein may influence the invasion of colorectal cancer显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the expression of Bcl-xL, Bak, and Bax proteins in correlation with particular clinico-histopathological parameters, including tumor invasion front, in patients with colorectal cancer. METHODS: The expression of these proteins was evaluated with the use of the immunohistochemical method in 50 primary tumors. RESULTS: According to observations, a low expression of Bax and Bak proteins is related to the localization of the tumor in the rectum(P < 0.05 and P < 0.05 respectively), which may explain an increased incidence of colorectal cancer in this area. A positive expression of Bax protein also correlates with the presence of cancer cell infiltration to lymph and blood vessels(P < 0.05), which may suggest the participation of this protein in the early stages of colorectal cancer progression. Moreover, a positive expression of Bcl-xL protein correlated with a positive expression of Bak protein. This may suggest a greater participation of Bcl-xL protein in the inhibition of the proapoptotic Bak protein, but not the Bax protein. 19Coherent supercontinuum generation in soft glass photonic crystal fibers显示文摘An overview of the progress on pulse-preserving, coherent, nonlinear fiber-based supercontinuum generation is presented. The context encompasses various wavelength ranges and pump sources, starting with silica photonic crystal fibers pumped with 1.0 μm femtosecond lasers up to chalcogenide step-index and microstructured fibers pumped from optical parametric amplifiers tuned to mid-infrared wavelengths. In particular, silica and silicatebased all-normal dispersion(ANDi) photonic crystal fibers have been demonstrated for pumping with femtosecond lasers operating at 1.56 μm with the recorded spectra covering 0.9–2.3 μm. This matches amplification bands of robust fiber amplifiers and femtosecond lasers. The review therefore focuses specifically on this wavelength range, discussing glass and nonlinear fiber designs, experimental results on supercontinuum generation up to the fundamental limit of oxide glass fiber transmission around 2.8 μm, and various limitations of supercontinuum bandwidth and coherence. Specifically, the role of nonlinear response against the role of dispersion profile shape is analyzed for two different soft glass ANDi fibers pumped at more than 2.0 μm. A spatio-temporal interaction of the fundamental fiber mode with modes propagating in the photonic lattice of the discussed ANDi fibers is shown to have positive effects on the coherence of the supercontinuum at pump pulse durations of 400 fs.
