1Extraction of Hemicellulose from Acacia Wood via Autohydrolysis and Ethanol Precipitation显示文摘Isolation and utilization of hemicellulose are important processes in the pulp mill-based biorefinery. Considering the potential end use of the hemicellulose,this study investigated the concentration of monomeric and oligomeric sugars in the hydrolysate derived from autohydrolysis of acacia wood and the obtainment of these sugars via ethanol precipitation. The rate of generation of monomers and oligomers increased dramatically with an increase of the temperature from 160℃ to 180℃. The maximum content of oligomers and total sugars was achieved under conditions of 180℃ and 10 min,170℃ and 85 min,respectively. Interestingly,the maximum yield of hemicellulose via ethanol precipitation was achieved in a much shorter time,compared with the maximum yield of oligomer from the hydrolysate by autohydrolysis. A 6. 66 g / L quantity of hemicellulose was obtained by intensifying the conditions of ethanol precipitation. 2Purification and Identification of Antioxidant Peptides from the Scallop Skirts of Mimachlamys Nobilis显示文摘The processes of scallop meats can produce a large amount of by-products like scallop skirts,which are rich in nutrients. This work aimed to obtain the information about antioxidant peptides derived from scallop skirts of Mimachlamys nobilis. The hydro-lysates obtained by trypsin exhibited the highest antioxidant activity( 75.6%,79.5% and 76.7% using DPPH,hydroxyl and superoxide anion radical scavenging activity assays,respectively). The antioxidant peptides( MNAP) were separated and purified using UF membranes,GFC processes and RP-HPLC,and the antioxidant activity of MNAP was identified to be 85.7% using DPPH radical scavenging activity assay. The peptides( MNAP) were composed of two peptides with their molecular weights2 855.6 Da and 3 007.2 Da using MALDI-TOF-MS,respectively. 4Deterministic distribution of orbital angular momentum multiplexed continuous-variable entanglement and quantum steering显示文摘Orbital angular momentum(OAM)multiplexing provides an efficient method to improve data-carrying capacity in various quantum communication protocols.It is a precondition to distribute OAM multiplexed quantum resources in quantum channels for implementing quantum communication.However,quantum steering of OAM multiplexed optical fields and the effect of channel noise on OAM multiplexed quantum resources remain unclear.Here,we generate OAM multiplexed continuous-variable(CV)entangled states and distribute them in lossy or noisy channels.We show that the decoherence property of entanglement and quantum steering of the OAM multiplexed states carrying topological charges l=1 and l=2 are the same as that of the Gaussian mode with l=0 in lossy and noisy channels.The sudden death of entanglement and quantum steering of high-order OAM multiplexed states is observed in the presence of excess noise.Our results demonstrate the feasibility to realize high data-carrying capacity quantum information processing by utilizing OAM multiplexed CV entangled states.Li Zeng Rong Ma Hong Wen Meihong Wang Jun Liu Zhongzhong Qin Xiaolong Su 2022Photonics Research2022,10,3:1
5Warming Stimulated Soil Respiration in a Subalpine Meadow in North China显示文摘In order to explore the response of soil respiration in grassland to global warming,we carried out a warming experiment with open top chambers(OTCs)in the subalpine meadow,Mount Wutai in north China.Our results showed in the subalpine meadow across 2500-2700 m above the sea level(ASL),with OTCs,soil respiration increased by 2.00μmol·m^(-2)·s^(-1)as soil temperature increased by 1.25℃on average.Warming decreased soil moisture over the experiment periods except in October 2019 when snow melted in OTCs.Warming effect on soil respiration peaked at 178.31%in October 2019.In control and warming treatment,based on exponential regression equations,soil temperature alone accounted for 85.3%and 61.2%of soil respiration variation,respectively.In control treatment soil moisture alone explained 23.2%of soil respiration variation based on the power regression equation while in warming treatment they were not significantly correlated with each other.The response of soil respiration to warming relied on altitudes as well as the time of the year,but was not inhibited by soil moisture,labile carbon pool,and available nitrogen.We concluded soil temperature was the main factor influencing soil respiration,and global warming would stimulate soil respiration in the subalpine meadows of Mount Wutai in the future.Our analysis provided new data on characteristics and mechanisms of the response of soil respiration to warming,and helped to further understand the relationship between carbon cycle and climate change.LUO Shuzheng ZHANG Jianhua ZHANG Hufang ZHENG Qingrong GAO Yongping LI Meihong 2023Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2023,28,1:1
6Influence of electroacupuncture on mitogen-activated protein kinase signal transduction in a rat model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion显示文摘Following electroacupuncture at Baihui (DU 20) and Dazhui (DU 14) in a rat model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion,extracellular-signal-regulated kinase expression in cerebral cortex and corpus striatum,serum glutathione reductase,glutathione peroxidase activity,and serum glutathione content were elevated,and neurobehavioral scores improved.However,these effects were antagonized by mitogen-activated protein kinase inhibitor PD98059.Results indicated that electroacupuncture reversed free radical chain reactions and oxidative stress injury caused by cerebral ischemia/reperfusion,thereby providing neuroprotection.This process could correlate with the mitogen-activated protein kinase signal transduction pathway.Zhongren Li Meihong Shen Wenmin Niu Xiaoren Xiang 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,30:1

12An Anti-Quantum Authentication Protocol for Space Information Networks Based on Ring Learning with Errors显示文摘With the continuous development of satellite communication and Internet of things technology,more and more devices can access space information networks(SIN)and enjoy satellite services everywhere in the world.However,due to the openness of the air-to-ground channel,the device will face a series of security threats when accessing SIN,such as replay attacks,eavesdropping attacks,impersonation attacks,and man-in-the-middle attacks.These security threats will lead to illegal entity access and further endanger the reliability and availability of the system.Although scholars have proposed many enhanced security access authentication protocols,most of them have been proved to have security vulnerabilities.In addition,with the development of quantum computing,the previous authentication protocols based on some asymmetric cryptographic mechanisms such as discrete logarithm and elliptic curve cryptographic mechanisms may face new security challenges.In this context,this paper proposes a novel antiquantum access authentication protocol based on ring learning with errors(RLWE),which meets more security requirements and greatly reduces the authentication delay through prenegotiation.Through the security analysis and performance analysis,it is shown that our protocol can be more suitable for delaysensitive IoT devices to access SIN while ensuring higher security.Junyan Guo Ye Du Xuesong Wu Meihong Li 2021Journal of Communications and Information Networks2021,6,3:0
13Ginkgo biloba extract alleviates fatty liver hemorrhagic syndrome in laying hens via reshaping gut microbiota显示文摘Background Ginkgo biloba extract(GBE)is evidenced to be effective in the prevention and alleviation of metabolic disorders,including obesity,diabetes and fatty liver disease.However,the role of GBE in alleviating fatty liver hemorrhagic syndrome(FLHS)in laying hens and the underlying mechanisms remain to be elucidated.Here,we investigated the effects of GBE on relieving FLHS with an emphasis on the modulatory role of GBE in chicken gut microbiota.Results The results showed that GBE treatment ameliorated biochemical blood indicators in high-fat diet(HFD)-induced FLHS laying hen model by decreasing the levels of TG,TC,ALT and ALP.The lipid accumulation and pathological score of liver were also relieved after GBE treatment.Moreover,GBE treatment enhanced the antioxidant activity of liver and serum by increasing GSH,SOD,T-AOC,GSH-PX and reducing MDA,and downregulated the expression of genes related to lipid synthesis(FAS,LXRα,GPAT1,PPARγand Ch REBP1)and inflammatory cytokines(TNF-α,IL-6,TLR4 and NF-κB)in the liver.Microbial profiling analysis revealed that GBE treatment reshaped the HFD-perturbed gut microbiota,particularly elevated the abundance of Megasphaera in the cecum.Meanwhile,targeted metabolomic analysis of SCFAs revealed that GBE treatment significantly promoted the production of total SCFAs,acetate and propionate,which were positively correlated with the GBE-enriched gut microbiota.Finally,we confirmed that the GBE-altered gut microbiota was sufficient to alleviate FLHS by fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT).Conclusions We provided evidence that GBE alleviated FLHS in HFD-induced laying hens through reshaping the composition of gut microbiota.Our findings shed light on mechanism underlying the anti-FLHS efficacy of GBE and lay foundations for future use of GBE as additive to prevent and control FLHS in laying hen industry.Xinyue Yang Depeng Li Meihong Zhang Yuqing Feng Xiaolu Jin Dan Liu Yuming Guo Yongfei Hu 2024Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2024,15,1:0
14The advantages of penehyclidine hydrochloride over atropine in acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning:A meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Penehyclidine hydrochloride(PHC)has been used for many years as an anticholinergic drug for the treatment of acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning(AOPP).The purpose of this meta-analysis was to explore whether PHC has advantages over atropine in the use of anticholinergic drugs in AOPP.Methods:We searched Scopus,Embase,Cochrane,PubMed,ProQuest,Ovid,Web of Science,China Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP),Duxiu,Chinese Biomedical literature(CBM),WanFang,and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),from inception to March 2022.After all qualified randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were included,we conducted quality evaluation,data extraction,and statistical analysis.Statistics using risk ratios(RR),weighted mean difference(WMD),and standard mean difference(SMD).Results:Our meta-analysis included 20,797 subjects from 240 studies across 242 different hospitals in China.Compared with the atropine group,the PHC group showed decreased mortality rate(RR=0.20,95%confidence intervals[CI]:0.16–0.25,P<0.001),hospitalization time(WMD=-3.89,95%CI:-4.37 to-3.41,P<0.001),overall incidence rate of complications(RR=0.35,95%CI:0.28–0.43,P<0.001),overall incidence of adverse reactions(RR=0.19,95%CI:0.17–0.22,P<0.001),total symptom disappearance time(SMD=-2.13,95%CI:-2.35 to-1.90,P<0.001),time for cholinesterase activity to return to normal value 50–60%(SMD=-1.87,95%CI:-2.03 to-1.70,P<0.001),coma time(WMD=-5.57,95%CI:-7.20 to-3.95,P<0.001),and mechanical ventilation time(WMD=-2.16,95%CI:-2.79 to-1.53,P<0.001).Conclusion:PHC has several advantages over atropine as an anticholinergic drug in AOPP.Siyao Zeng Lei Ma Lishan Yang Xiaodong Hu Cheng Wang Xinxin Guo Yi Li Yi Gou Yao Zhang Shengming Li Shaotong Zhang Xiaoxuan Wu Meihong Li Jing Lei Bingqian Li Chengfei Bi Like Ma Qingpeng Luo 2023Journal of Intensive Medicine2023,3,2:0
15Linc-RAM is a metabolic regulator maintaining whole-body energy homeostasis in mice显示文摘Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)are known to have profound functions in regulating cell fate specification,cell differentiation,organogenesis,and disease,but their physiological roles in controlling cellular metabolism and whole-body metabolic homeostasis are less well understood.We previously identified a skeletal muscle-specific long intergenic noncoding RNA(linc-RNA)activator of myogenesis,Linc-RAM,which enhances muscle cell differentiation during development and regeneration.Here,we report that Linc-RAM exerts a physiological function in regulating skeletal muscle metabolism and the basal metabolic rate to maintain whole-body metabolic homeostasis.We first demonstrate that Linc-RAM is preferentially expressed in type-II enriched glycolytic myofibers,in which its level is more than 60-fold higher compared to that in differentiated myotubes.Consistently,genetic deletion of the Linc-RAM gene in mice increases the expression levels of genes encoding oxidative fiber versions of myosin heavy chains and decreases those of genes encoding rate-limiting enzymes for glycolytic metabolism.Physiologically,Linc-RAM-knockout mice exhibit a higher basal metabolic rate,elevated insulin sensitivity and reduced fat deposition compared to their wild-type littermates.Together,our findings indicate that Linc-RAM is a metabolic regulator of skeletal muscle metabolism and may represent a potential pharmaceutical target for preventing and/or treating metabolic diseases,including obesity.Qianying Zhang Lili Zhai Qian Chen Yixia Zhao Ruiting Wang Hu Li Tian Gao Meihong Chen Dahai Zhu Yong Zhang 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,11:0
16Jasmonic acid regulates the biosynthesis of medicinal metabolites via the JAZ9-MYB76 complex in Salvia miltiorrhiza显示文摘Jasmonic acid(JA)signaling pathway plays an important role in tanshinone and phenolic acid biosynthesis in Salvia miltiorrhiza.However,the specific regulatory mechanism remains largely unclear.Previous work showed that a JASMONATE ZIM-domain(JAZ)protein,SmJAZ9,acted as a repressor of tanshinone production in S.miltiorrhiza.In this study,we revealed that SmJAZ9 reduced both phenolic acid accumulation and related biosynthetic gene expression,confirming that SmJAZ9 also negatively affected phenolic acid biosynthesis.Then,we identified a novel MYB transcription factor,SmMYB76,which interacted with SmJAZ9.SmMYB76 repressed phenolic acid biosynthesis by directly downregulating SmPAL1,Sm4CL2,and SmRAS1.Further investigation demonstrated that JA mediated phenolic acids biosynthesis via SmJAZ9-SmMYB76 complex.Taken together,these findings state the molecular mechanism that SmJAZ9-SmMYB76 regulated phenolic acid biosynthesis at the transcriptional and protein levels,which provided new insights into JA signaling pathway regulating plant metabolism.Shucan Liu Xiankui Gao Min Shi Meihong Sun Kunlun Li Yan Cai Chengan Chen Can Wang Itay Maoz Xinhong Guo Guoyin Kai 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,3:0

18Cyanidin-3-O-glucoside alleviates trimethyltin chloride-induced neurodegeneration by maintaining glutamate homeostasis through modulation of the gut microbiota显示文摘Trimethyltin chloride(TMT)is a potent neurotoxin to cause neurodegeneration,especially in hippocampus.This study aimed to identify dietary components that can effectively attenuate TMT-induced neurodegeneration in humans.The predominant anthocyanin in human diets,cyanidin-3-O-glucoside(C3G,5 or 50 mg/kg),was given to mice for 16 days,and TMT(2.7 mg/kg)was injected intraperitoneally once on the eighth day.C3G(50 mg/kg)significantly alleviated TMT-induced seizures and subsequent cognitive impairment by ameliorating hippocampal neurodegeneration and synaptic dysfunction.Furthermore,C3G treatment restored glutamate homeostasis in brain and reversed glutamine synthetase(GS)inhibition in reactive astrogliosis and neuroinflammation,which are critical for C3G's neuroprotective effects.Notably,C3G decreased the lipopolysaccharide,tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin-6,and interleukin-1βlevels in the mice,which potentially by modulating the relative abundance of Atopobiaceae and Lachnospiraceae in the gut.C3G may be a promising and practical dietary component for reducing TMT-induced neurodegeneration.Yu Xi Wenhui Li Junru Wang Meihong Yu Xiangquan Zeng He Li Jian Li 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,2:0
19Polymeric Hydrogel Nanocapsules: A Thermo and pH Dual-responsive Carrier for Sustained Drug Release显示文摘Hydrogel capsules show attractive prospects in drug delivery recently because of high drug loading and sustained release behavior. In this study we reported a simple and convenient route to fabricate poly(acrylic acid)-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PAA-PNIPAm) hydrogel capsules by using hydroxypropylcellulose-poly(acrylic acid)(HPC-PAA) complexes as the templates. The capsules showed a high drug loading(~280% to the weight of capsules) for Doxorubicin hydrochloride. The release of drug from the capsules was responsive to the temperature and p H of the surroundings, showing a low-rate but sustained release behavior favorable for low-toxic and long-term therapy.
