1Spinal Cord Stimulation Frequency Influences the Hemodynamic Response in Patients with Disorders of Consciousness显示文摘Spinal cord stimulation(SCS) is a promising technique for treating disorders of consciousness(DOCs).However, differences in the spatio-temporal responsiveness of the brain under varied SCS parameters remain unclear. In this pilot study, functional near-infrared spectroscopy was used to measure the hemodynamic responses of 10 DOC patients to different SCS frequencies(5 Hz, 10 Hz, 50 Hz, 70 Hz, and 100 Hz). In the prefrontal cortex, a key area in consciousness circuits, we found significantly increased hemodynamic responses at 70 Hz and 100 Hz, and significantly different hemodynamic responses between 50 Hz and 70 Hz/100 Hz. In addition, the functional connectivity between prefrontal and occipital areas was significantly improved with SCS at 70 Hz. 2Cryogenic 3D printing of dual-delivery scaffolds for improved bone regeneration with enhanced vascularization显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)printing has been increasingly employed to produce advanced bone tissue engineering scaffolds with biomimetic structures and matched mechanical strengths,in order to induce improved bone regeneration in defects with a critical size.Given that the successful bone regeneration requires both excellent osteogenesis and vascularization,endowing scaffolds with both strong bone forming ability and favorable angiogenic potential would be highly desirable to induce improved bone regeneration with required vascularization.In this investigation,customized bone tissue engineering scaffolds with balanced osteoconductivity/osteoinductivity were produced via cryogenic 3D printing ofβ-tricalcium phosphate and osteogenic peptide(OP)containing water/poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)/dichloromethane emulsion inks.The fabricated scaffolds had a hierarchically porous structure and were mechanically comparable to human cancellous bone.Angiogenic peptide(AP)containing collagen I hydrogel was then coated on scaffold surface to further provide scaffolds with angiogenic capability.A sequential release with a quick AP release and a slow but sustained OP release was obtained for the scaffolds.Both rat endothelial cells(ECs)and rat bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)showed high viability on scaffolds.Improved in vitro migration and angiogenesis of ECs were obtained for scaffolds delivered with AP while enhanced osteogenic differentiation was observed in scaffolds containing OP.The in vivo results showed that,toward scaffolds containing both AP and OP,the quick release of AP induced obvious angiogenesis in vivo,while the sustained OP release significantly improved the new bone formation.This study provides a facile method to produce dual-delivery scaffolds to achieve multiple functions.Chong Wang Jiahui Lai Kai Li Shaokui Zhu Bingheng Lu Jia Liu Yujin Tang Yen Wei 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,1:7
3Effects of Cd and Sn on double-peak age-hardening behaviors of Al-Si-Cu-Mg cast alloys显示文摘The effects of trace elements Cd and Sn on precipitation process of Al-Si-Cu-Mg cast alloys were investigated in the present research.It is shown that the addition of Cd and Sn not only increases remarkably the aging peak hardness and reduces the time to reach aging peak,but also eliminates the double-aging-peak phenomenon which appears in Al-Si-Cu-Mg alloys.In Al-Si-Cu-Mg alloys the first aging peak corresponds to GP zones(especially GPⅡ) ,and the second one is caused by metastable phases.The obvious time interval of transition from GPⅡ to metastable phases associates with the double-aging-peak phenomenon.The results of DSC and TEM show that Cd/Sn elements suppress the formation of GPⅠzone,stimulate the formation of θ',θ' and θ phases,and then shorten remarkably the temperature intervals of each exothermic peak.Because the transition interval between GPⅡzone and metastable phases is shortened by Cd/Sn in Al-Si-Cu-Mg cast alloys,θ' phase coexists with θ' phase in matrix of ageing peak condition,which causes effective hardening on the alloys,and at the same time,eliminates the double-aging-peak phenomenon.Li Runxia Chen Yujin Yuan Xiaoguang Qu Yingdong Li Rongde 2010China Foundry2010,7,1:7
4QTL analysis of ear leaf traits in maize(Zea mays L.)under different planting densities显示文摘Modem maize varieties have become more productive than ever, owing largely to increased tolerance of high plant density. However, the genetics of ear leaf traits under different densities remains poorly understood. In this study, Zhongdan 909 recombinant inbred lines(RILs) derived from a cross between Z58 and HD568 were genotyped for 3072 single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs), and phenotyped for leaf length(LL), leaf width(LW), and leaf angle(LA) of the uppermost ear leaf under three planting densities(52,500,67,500, and 82,500 plants ha-1, respectively). A genetic map was then constructed using1358 high-quality SNPs. The total length of the linkage map was 1985.2 cM and the average interval between adjacent markers 1.46 cM. With increasing density, LL and LW decreased from 63.68 to 63.02 cm and from 8.56 to 8.21 cm, respectively, while LA increased from19.42° to 19.66°. All three traits had high heritabilities, of 0.75, 0.78, and 0.84, respectively.Using inclusive composite interval mapping, 23, 25, and 17 quantitative trait loci(QTL) were detected for LL, LW, and LA, respectively. Of these, 35 were simultaneously detected under two or three plant densities, while 30 were detected under only one. 5The Characterization, Authentication, and Gene Expression Pattern of the MdCER Family in Malus domestica显示文摘Plant cuticular wax is an important determinant factor of fruit quality. Cuticular wax can protect the fruit from UV radiation, drought, and disease and increase the storage period of fruit. In many species, CER gene is associated with wax and can affect plant response to stress, but no characterization of CER gene and its family has been reported in apples. In this study, we identified 10 MdCER genes in Malus domestica based on the sequences of 10 CER genes in Arabidopsis thaliana. Three-dimensional structures were then defined, and root-mean-square deviation(RMSD)scoring matrixes were used to evaluate the matches. These 10 genes were divided into three classes using phylogenetic methods; namely,class I, II, and III. The predicted MdCER genes were distributed across 7 out of 17 chromosomes with different densities. Furthermore, the gene structures and motif compositions of the MdCER genes were analyzed. The quantitative real-time PCR results indicated that MdCER family genes were mainly expressed in the leaves and stems and rarely in the roots. 6MdDREB2A in apple is involved in the regulation of multiple abiotic stress responses显示文摘Abiotic stress has a serious effect on plant growth.The transcription factor DREB2A is a member of the AP2/ERF family,which is widely involved in abiotic stress response.However,the function of apple MdDREB2A has not been systematically investigated.In this study,MdDREB2A was isolated from the cultivar‘Royal Gala’.The open reading frame of MdDREB2A was 1197 bp in length and it encoded a protein of 398 amino acidswithmolecularweight of 43.8 kD.As a transcription factor,MdDREB2Awas located in the nucleus.qRT-PCR analysis showed that MdDREB2A was involved in responses to drought,salt,and ABA stresses.Under these stress treatments,the relative electrical conductivity,superoxide anion and malondialdehyde(MDA)in transgenic materials significantly decreased,and the content of proline increased in MdDREB2A transgenic plants,compared to the controls,indicating that MdDREB2A transgenic apple calli and transgenic Arabidopsis exhibited improved resistance to abiotic stress.This study introduces a candidate gene for the genetic improvement of crop resistance and reveals important function of MdDREB2A in the regulation of abiotic stress response.Xinyu Lian Xinyu Zhao Qiang Zhao Guiluan Wang Yuanyuan Li Yujin Hao 2021Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,3:6
7CNT@MnO_(2) composite ink toward a flexible 3D printed micro-zinc-ion battery显示文摘Flexible energy storage devices have played a significant role in multiscenario applications,while flexible zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs),as an essential branch,have developed rapidly in recent years.Three-dimensional(3D)printing is an extremely advanced technology to design and modify the structure of batteries and provides unlimited possibilities for the diversified development of energy storage equipment.Herein,by utilizing 3D printing technology,carbon nanotube(CNT)is coated by MnO_(2) to form a flexible CNT@MnO_(2) ink as a cathode for flexible aqueous micro-ZIBs for the first time and zinc powder ink is used as an anode due to its high flexibility and bendability.The Zn//CNT@MnO_(2) flexible battery shows a stable capacity of 63μAh cm^(−2) at 0.4mA cm^(−2).When the battery is bent in different states,the maximum capacity loss compared with the initial value is only 2.72%,indicating its stability.This study shows the potential of 3D printing technology in the development of flexible manganese-based ZIBs.Yujin Ren Fanbo Meng Siwen Zhang Bu Ping Hui Li Bosi Yin Tianyi Ma 2022Carbon Energy2022,4,3:5
8Classification and Location Scheme Selection of Coupling Components in Integrated Electrical and Heating Systems with Renewable Energy显示文摘Integrated energy systems(IES)are under development to accommodate the widespread penetration of renewable energy into power systems.The universal utilization of coupling components makes the connection between power grids and heat grids even closer.This paper applies energy flow calculations to planning problems and explores a method for selecting coupling components in the integrated electrical and heating systems.This process is based on the analysis of energy flow distribution and the comprehensive indexes,which include operation cost and the penalty cost of wind curtailment and solar energy curtailment.Besides,a selection method of coupling components installation locations based on energy flow calculations is provided.At last,an IES with 5 electrical buses and 5 heating nodes,and a 9-bus electrical power system with a 31-node heating transmission system are chosen to study the specific application problems in detail as well as to elucidate the effectiveness of the proposed method.It turned out that the relevant coupling components and their positions can be selected according to the indexes obtained by integrated electrical-hydraulic-thermal calculation.This proposed method is conducive to the planning of integrated energy systems.Jinghua Li Mengshu Zhu Yujin Huang 2020CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,3:4
9Seasonal variations and bioavailability of inorganic phosphorus in soils of Yeyahu Wetland in Beijing,China显示文摘Phosphorus(P) in soils has an important influence on the development and productivity of wetland. The objective of this study was to investigate the distribution,bioavailability and seasonal variations of inorganic phosphorus(IP) in soils of Yeyahu Wetland.The results showed that the concentration of Ca-bound P(Ca-P) remained the main occurrence in all IP fractions despite the season,at the same time the Al-bound P(Al-P) was always the lowest IP fraction despite the season.Al-P and Fe-bound P (Fe-P) concentration were all reached the highest value in May and the lowest in November,which was opposite to the occluded P(Oc-P) fraction.The notable higher Oc-P concentration in November observed in this study was probably due to the decomposition of plants and the subsequently releasing of oxides to soils.Ca-P didn't change much with season variations.Exchangeable P(Ex-P) and Oc-P were all positively correlated with soil moisture content and organic matter content,but Al-P was negatively correlated with these two soil properties.As a stable form,Ca-P was not associated with soil properties.Al-P,Fe-P and Ca-P might contribute to the storage of P in studied wetland with the principle component analysis results.The concentration rank order of the bio-available P in soils was generally as follows:Olsen-P > Algal available P(AAP) > Water soluble P(WSP) > Readily desorbed P(RDP).Olsen-P was positively correlated with Ex-P and Oc-P,and it was thought to be a more suitable indicator for bio-available P in soils.ZHANG Jing LI Min LIU Shuang LIU Yujin ZHANG Liqiang CAO Qi SUN Dezhi 2011International Journal of Sediment Research2011,26,2:4

11Auxin response factor 6A regulates photosynthesis,sugar accumulation,and fruit development in tomato显示文摘Auxin response factors(ARFs)are involved in auxin-mediated transcriptional regulation in plants.In this study,we performed functional characterization of SlARF6A in tomato.SlARF6A is located in the nucleus and exhibits transcriptional activator activity.Overexpression of SlARF6A increased chlorophyll contents in the fruits and leaves of tomato plants,whereas downregulation of SlARF6A decreased chlorophyll contents compared with those of wild-type(WT)plants.Analysis of chloroplasts using transmission electron microscopy indicated increased sizes of chloroplasts in SlARF6A-overexpressing plants and decreased numbers of chloroplasts in SlARF6A-downregulated plants.Overexpression of SlARF6A increased the photosynthesis rate and accumulation of starch and soluble sugars,whereas knockdown of SlARF6A resulted in opposite phenotypes in tomato leaves and fruits.RNA-sequence analysis showed that regulation of SlARF6A expression altered the expression of genes involved in chlorophyll metabolism,photosynthesis and sugar metabolism.SlARF6A directly bound to the promoters of SlGLK1,CAB,and RbcS genes and positively regulated the expression of these genes.Overexpression of SlARF6A also inhibited fruit ripening and ethylene production,whereas downregulation of SlARF6A increased fruit ripening and ethylene production.SlARF6A directly bound to the SAMS1 promoter and negatively regulated SAMS1 expression.Taken together,these results expand our understanding of ARFs with regard to photosynthesis,sugar accumulation and fruit development and provide a potential target for genetic engineering to improve fruit nutrition in horticulture crops.Yujin Yuan Xin Xu Zehao Gong Yuwei Tang Mengbo Wu Fang Yan Xiaolan Zhang Qian Zhang Fengqing Yang Xiaowei Hu Qichen Yang Yingqing Luo Lihua Mei Wenfa Zhang Cai-Zhong Jiang Wangjin Lu Zhengguo Li Wei Deng 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:3
12Stepwise synthesis of cuprous oxide nanoparticles with adjustable structures and growth model显示文摘By stepwise adding of reducer N2H4·H2O,cuprous oxide(Cu2O)nanoparticles(NPs)with adjustable structures were synthesized.The features of Cu2O NPs were characterized by XRD,TEM and UV-Vis absorption spectra.When the reducer was added into the reactant system at one time,the sizes of the Cu2O NPs are in the range of 120–140 nm.Most Cu2O NPs are solid spheres.As the reducer was divided into two equal parts and stepwisely added,almost all the NPs are hollow spheres with good size(150–170 nm)distribution and dispersity.But when the reducer was divided into three or four equal parts and stepwisely added,the NPs are hollow spheres,core-shell structures or solid spheres,and the sizes distribution of the products is deteriorated.The effect of sodium hydrate(NaOH)was also probed.Addition of NaOH speeded up the nucleation and growth processes of Cu2O NPs.With the alkalinity increase,the shells of the hollow spheres become compact and the thicknesses of the shells increase,but the size distribution of the NPs is deteriorated.The absorption spectra of the Cu2O NPs are tunable.With the shell thicknesses increase,the absorption peaks have red shifts.An inside-outside growth model of Cu2O NPs was proposed to explain the results.The Cu2O single crystalline grains grow not only in the reactant solution,but also inside of the hollow nanospheres.The new Cu2O nanocrystallines can not only aggregate onto the shells of the nano hollow spheres,but also inside and outside of the hollow spheres,which leads to increasing the shell thicknesses of the hollow spheres,forming core-shell structures or small solid spheres of Cu2O NPs,respectively.YANG AiLing WANG YuJin LI ShunPin BAO XiChang YANG RenQiang 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,11:3
13Genetic analysis and QTL mapping of stalk cell wall components and digestibility in maize recombinant inbred lines from B73 × By804显示文摘The cell wall composition and structure of the maize stalk directly affects its digestibility and in turn its feed value.Previous studies of stem quality have focused mostly on common maize germplasm,and few studies have focused on high-oil cultivars with high grain and straw quality.Investigation of the genetic basis of cell wall composition and digestibility of maize stalk using high-oil maize is desirable for improving maize forage quality.In the present study,a high-oil inbred line(By804)was crossed as male parent with the maize inbred line B73 to construct a population of 188 recombinant inbred lines(RILs).The phenotypes of six cell-wall-related traits were recorded,and QTL analysis was performed with a genetic map constructed with SNP markers.All traits were significantly correlated with one another and showed high broad-sense heritability.Of 20 QTLs mapped,the QTL associated with each trait explained 10.0%–41.1%of phenotypic variation.Approximately half of the QTL each explained over 10%of the phenotypic variation.These results provide a theoretical basis for improving maize forage quality by marker-assisted selection.Qi Wang Kun Li Xiaojiao Hu Huimin Shi Zhifang Liu Yujin Wu Hongwu Wang Changling Huang 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,1:2

15Genome-wide identification and functional characterization of the MdCLE peptide family in apple(Malus×domestica)显示文摘The CLAVATA3/EMBRYO SURROUNDING REGION-related(CLE)peptides are critical for stem cell homeostasis in plant shoot and root apical meristem.Although CLE genes have been reported in numerous plants,there is limited information for apple.Here,twenty-five MdCLE genes were identified fromapple genome(Apple Genome V1.0 predicted peptides).Analysis of chromosomal location showed that the 25 MdCLE genes were located on 12 of 17 apple chromosomes.Genetic structure analysis showed that 21 of 25 the MdCLE genes were intron-free.Expression patterns showed thatmost of the MdCLE genes showed higher expression levels in leaves and root compared with the other tissues.In addition,expression analysis demonstrated that MdCLE genes had different gene expression patterns for abiotic stress treatment,suggesting their potential roles in acclimation of apple to adverse environments.The 25 MdCLE genes encoded 19 different CLE peptides,and they were divided into two groups depending on their effects on the inhibition of Arabidopsis root growth.Our results suggest that MdCLE genesmay have an important but redundant function in regulating plant growth and development,and this work provides valuable references for further investigation of the biological functions of MdCLE genes.Tianen Zhang Xiuming Li Qiang Zhao Yan Shi Yujin Hao Chunxiang You 2022Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,3:2
16Optimization of ultrasonic-assisted freezing of Penaeus chinensis by response surface methodology显示文摘Objectives:Optimization of ultrasonic-assisted freezing of Penaeus chinensis by response surface methodology was studied in order to(1)obtain frozen Penaeus chinensis of high quality and(2)provide practical guidance for the application of ultrasonic-assisted freezing in Penaeus chinensis.Materials and Methods:Three independent and major variables were selected,including initial ultrasonic temperature(℃),ultrasonic power(W)and ultrasonic time(s on/2 s off).On the basis of one-factor experiments,17 groups of experiments were established by response surface methodology according to Box-Behnken design.Using multiple regression analysis the experimental data were fitted into a second-order polynomial equation,which was tested by proper statistical methods.Results:The optimal ultrasonic conditions were as follows:initial ultrasonic temperature 0℃,ultrasonic power 180 W,ultrasonic time 5 son/2 s off.Under the optimization conditions,the time of passing through maximum ice crystal generation zone was 105.500 s,which was very close to the predictive passage time of 101.541 s.Conclusions:Initial ultrasonic temperature,ultrasonic time and ultrasonic power played an important role in the process of ultrasonic-assisted freezing of Penaeus chinensis.Response surface methodology was used to optimize the three factors in ultrasonic-assisted freezing,which could greatly shorten the time of passing through the maximum ice crystal generation zone and maintain the tissue structure of Penaeus chinensis well.应宇斌 向迎春 刘佳琳 陈欣 胡玲萍 Yujin Li 胡亚芹 2021Food Quality and Safety2021,5,2:2
17Genome-wide analysis of the barley non-specific lipid transfer protein gene family显示文摘Non-specific lipid transfer proteins(nsLTPs) are small, basic proteins that are characterized by an eight-cysteine motif. The biological functions of these proteins have been reported to involve plant reproduction and biotic or abiotic stress response. With the completion of the barley genome sequence, a genome-wide analysis of nsLTPs in barley(Hordeum vulgare L.)(HvLTPs) will be helpful for understanding the function of nsLTPs in plants. We performed a genome-wide analysis of the nsLTP gene family in barley and identified 70 nsLTP genes,which can be divided into five types(1, 2, C, D, and G). Each type of nsLTPs shares similar exon and intron gene structures. Expression analysis showed that barley nsLTPs have diverse expression patterns, revealing their various roles. 18Cost-reduction strategies in massive genomics experiments显示文摘Many modern biology studies require deep, whole-genome sequencing of hundreds to thousands of samples. Although persamplecosts have dramatically decreased, the total budget for such massive genome sequencing constitutes a significantbarrier for poorly funded labs. The costly lab tools required for genomics experiments further hinder such studies. Here, weshare two strategies for extensively reducing the costs of massive genomics experiments, including miniaturization of theNEBNext Ultra II FS DNA Library Prep Kit for Illumina (reducing the per-sample total costs to ~ 1/6 of that charged byservice providers) and in-lab 3D model-designing of genomics tools. It was found that Ag@Cu2O core-shell NPs were easily converted to Ag@Cu bimetallic core-shell NPs with the help of surfactant PVP and excessive reducer ascorbic acid in air at room temperature, which is a unique phenomenon. Varying volumes of Ag colloidal solutions were added into the reaction mixtures containing fixed initial concentrations of Cu2+ and PVP, Ag@Cu2O and Ag@Cu core-shell NPs with fixed core size but varying outer shell thicknesses could be obtained. The composites, structures, morphologies and extinction properties of Ag@Cu2O and Ag@Cu core-shell NPs were systematically characterized by XRD, TEM and extinction spectra. Both of these NPs show wide tunable optical properties. The extinction peaks could be shifted from 421 nm to 700 nm. FTIR results reveal that Cu+ ions on the surface of Cu2 O nanocrystalline coordinate with N and O atoms in PVP and further are reduced to metallic Cu by excessive ascorbic acid and then form a nucleation site on the surface of Cu2 O nanocrystalline. PVP binds onto a different site to proceed with the reduction until all the Cu sources in Cu2 O NPs are completely assumed. And the shell of Cu2 O is converted to Cu shell. The synthesis approach in this paper is simple and also a promising reference for synthesizing other core-shell NPs. 20Changes of auditory evoked magnetic fields in patients after acute cerebral infarction using magnetoencephalography显示文摘Auditory evoked magnetic fields were recorded from 15 patients with acute cerebral infarction and 11 healthy volunteers using magnetoencephalography.The auditory stimuli of 2 kHz pure tone were binaurally presented with an interstimulus interval of 1 second.The intensity of stimuli was 90 dB and the stimulus duration was 8 ms.The results showed that the M100 was the prominent response, peaking approximately 100 ms after stimulus onset in all subjects.It originated from the area close to Heschl's gyrus.In the patient group,the peak latency of M100 responses was significantly prolonged,and the mean strength of equivalent current dipole was significantly smaller in the affected hemisphere.The three-dimensional inter-hemispheric difference of the M100 positions was increased in the patient group.Our experimental findings suggested that impairment of cerebral function in patients with acute ischemic stroke can be detected using magnetoencephalography with the higher spatial resolution and temporal resolution.Magnetoencephalography could provide objective and sensitive indices to estimate auditory cortex function in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Zhanyong Sun Chunfeng Song Jilin Sun Ling Li Yanhong Dong Jianhua Wang Jie Wu Wenzhu Cui Yujin Wu Peiyuan Lv 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,24:1
