The total-color neighbor of a vertex u of G is the color set Cf(u)={f(x)|x∈TN(U)}. For any two adjacent vertices x and y of V(G)such that Cf(x)≠Cf(y), we refer to f as a k-avsdt-coloring of G('avsdt'is the abbreviation of'adjacent-vertex-strongly- distinguishing total'). The avsdt-coloring number of G, denoted by Xast(G), is the minimal number of colors required for a avsdt-coloring of G. In this paper, the avsdt-coloring numbers on some familiar graphs are studied, such as paths, cycles, complete graphs, complete bipartite graphs and so on. | 4 | Historical trends of heavy metal contamination and their sources in lacustrine sediment from Xijiu Lake,Taihu Lake Catchment,China显示文摘Concentrations of Cd,Cr,Cu,Pb,Zn and Hg in Xijiu Lake sediment from the Taihu Lake catchment,China,were analyzed.Their contamination state was investigated based on the geoaccumulation index and enrichment factors.Statistical analysis was used to differentiate the anthropogenic versus natural sources of heavy metals (HMs),and the anthropogenic accumulation fluxes were calculated to quantify anthropogenic contribution to HMs.The results indicated that the lake sediment had been heavily contaminated by Cd,enrichment of Zn and Hg was at a relatively high level,while that of Cu and Pb was in the lower-to-moderate level and Cr was in the low enrichment level.Sources of Cr in the sediment were mainly from natural inputs,while other metals,especially Cd,were predominantly derived from anthropogenic sources.In the past century,anthropogenic accumulation fluxes of Pb,Zn and Hg increased by 0.1-47.3 mg/(cm2·yr),2.4-398.1 mg/(cm2·yr),and 3.7-110.3 ng/(m2·yr),respectively,accounting for most inputs of HMs entering the sediment.The contamination state of HMs varied with industrial development of the catchment,which demonstrated that contamination started in the early 20th century,reached the maximal level between the mid-1970s and mid-1990s,and decreased a little after the implementation of constraints on high contamination industries,although the contamination of some HMs,such as Cd,Zn and Hg,is still at high levels. | Haijian Bing Yanhong Wu Zhaobin Sun Shuchun Yao | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,10: | 18 |

| 6 | Microwave Exposure Impairs Synaptic Plasticity in the Rat Hippocampus and PC12 Cells through Over-activation of the NMDA Receptor Signaling Pathway显示文摘Objective The aim of this study is to investigate whether microwave exposure would affect the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor(NMDAR) signaling pathway to establish whether this plays a role in synaptic plasticity impairment. Methods 48 male Wistar rats were exposed to 30 m W/cm2 microwave for 10 min every other day for three times. Hippocampal structure was observed through H&E staining and transmission electron microscope. PC12 cells were exposed to 30 m W/cm2 microwave for 5 min and the synapse morphology was visualized with scanning electron microscope and atomic force microscope. The release of amino acid neurotransmitters and calcium influx were detected. The expressions of several key NMDAR signaling molecules were evaluated. Results Microwave exposure caused injury in rat hippocampal structure and PC12 cells, especially the structure and quantity of synapses. The ratio of glutamic acid and gamma-aminobutyric acid neurotransmitters was increased and the intracellular calcium level was elevated in PC12 cells. A significant change in NMDAR subunits(NR1, NR2 A, and NR2B) and related signaling molecules(Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent kinase II gamma and phosphorylated c AMP-response element binding protein) were examined. Conclusion 30 m W/cm2 microwave exposure resulted in alterations of synaptic structure, amino acid neurotransmitter release and calcium influx. In this paper, variations of electrical resistivity with external applied load, and relationof thermoelectric force and temperature were investigated. Test results indicated that the electrical signal is related to theincrease in the material volume resistivity during crack generation or propagation and the decrease in the resistivity duringcrack closure. Moreover, it was found that the fiber addition increased the linearity and reversibility of the Seebeck effect inthe cement-based materials. | 12 | Computational Prediction and Identification of Epstein-Barr Virus Latent Membrane Protein 2A Antigen-Specific CD8^+ T-Cell Epitopes显示文摘Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) associated nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a high incidence tumor in Southeast Asia. Among EBV encoded proteins, latent membrane protein 2A (LMP2A) is an important antigen for T cell therapy of EBV. In this study, we predicted six HLA-A2 restricted CTL candidate epitopes of LMP2A by SYFPEITHI, NetMHC and MHCPred methods combined with the polynomial method. Subsequently, biological functions of these peptides were tested by experiments in vitro. In ELISPOT assay, the positive response of the LMP2A specific CTL stimulated by three (LMP2A264-272, LMP2A426-434 and LMP2A356-364) of six peptides respectively showed that the numbers of spots forming cells (SFC) ranged from 55.7 to 80.6 SFC/5 × 104 CD8+ T cells and the responding index (RI) ranged from 5.4 to 7. These three epitope-specific CTLs could effectively kill specific HLA-A2-expressing target cells. As a result, LMP2A264-272 (QLSPLLGAV), LMP2A426-434 (CLGGLLTMV) and LMP2A356-364 (FLYALALLL) were identified as LMP2A-specific CD8+ T-cell epitopes. | 15 | The effect of vitamin D on sperm motility and the underlying mechanism显示文摘Vitamin D deficiency is a common health issue around the world. We therefore evaluated the associations of semen quality with both serum and seminal plasma vitamin D levels and studied the mechanisms underlying these by incubating spermatozoa with 1,25(OH)2D in vitro. Two hun dred and twenty-two men were in eluded in our study. Vitamin D was detected using an electrochemilumi nesce nee method. Spermatozoa used for in vitro experiments were isolated by density gradient centrifugation. Positive relationships of serum 25(OH)D with semen volume and seminal plasma fructose were identified. Seminal plasma 25(OH)D level showed no relationship with serum 25(OH)D level, while it was inversely associated with sperm concentration and positively correlated with semen volume and sperm kinetic values. In vitro, sperm kinetic parameters in creased after in cubation with 1,25(OH)2D, especially upon in cubation for 30 min with it at a concen tration of 0.1 nmol l-1. Under these in cubation conditions, the upward migratio n of spermatozoa in creased remarkably with increasing ade nosine triphosphate (ATP) con centratio n. The concentrati on of cyclic ade nosine mono phosphate (cAMP) and the activity of protei n kinase A (PKA) were both elevated, and the PKA inhibitor, N-[2-(p-Bromocinnamylamino)ethyl]-5-isoquinolinesulfonamide dihydrochloride (H89) reversed the in crease of ATP producti on. The conce ntrations of cytoplasmic calcium ions and n icotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) were both enhanced, while mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU) inhibitor, Ruthenium 360 (Ru360) did not reverse the increase of ATP production. | 16 | Study on the Expression Levels of CXCR4, CXCL12, CD44, and CD147 and Their Potential Correlation with Invasive Behaviors of Pituitary Adenomas显示文摘Objective To evaluate the factors of CXCR4, CXCL12, CD44, and CD147 as early potential diagnostic biomarkers by determining their expression levels in invasive and non-invasive pituitary adenomas. Methods Fresh pituitary adenoma specimens were collected from 35 pituitary adenoma (21 invasive and 14 non-invasive) patients who underwent surgical treatment in our Neurosurgery Department between January and April of 2009. The expression levels of CXCR4, CXCL12, CD44, and CD147 were evaluated firstly by flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy in single cell suspensions, and then by immunohistochemical staining of paraffin tissue sections. Results Flow cytometric analyses showed that the percentage of CXCR4-and CXCL12-positive cells from invasive pituitary adenomas (IPA) was significantly higher in the single cell suspensions than that from non-invasive pituitary adenomas (nIPA) (P<0.05). Immunohistochemical staining revealed that CXCR4 and CXCL12 staining index scores of the invasive pituitary adenomas were significantly higher than those of the non-invasive pituitary adenomas (P<0.05). In contrast, neither flow cytometry nor immunohistochemical staining demonstrated significant difference between CD44 and CD147 expression levels, respectively. Conclusion Expression levels of CXCR4 and CXCL12 are correlated with the invasiveness of pituitary adenomas. | 19 | Basic performance of BeiDou-2 navigation satellite system used in LEO satellites precise orbit determination显示文摘The visibility for low earth orbit(LEO) satellites provided by the BeiDou-2 system is analyzed and compared with the global positioning system(GPS). In addition, the spaceborne receivers' observations are simulated by the BeiDou satellites broadcast ephemeris and LEO satellites orbits. The precise orbit determination(POD) results show that the along-track component accuracy is much better over the service area than the non-service area, while the accuracy of the other two directions keeps at the same level over different areas. However, the 3-dimensional(3D) accuracy over the two areas shows almost no difference. Only taking into consideration the observation noise and navigation satellite ephemeris errors, the 3D accuracy of the POD is about30 cm. As for the precise relative orbit determination(PROD), the 3D accuracy is much better over the eastern hemisphere than that of the western hemisphere. The baseline length accuracy is 3.4 mm over the service area, and it is still better than 1 cm over the non-service area. This paper demonstrates that the BeiDou regional constellation could provide global service to LEO satellites for the POD and the PROD.
