Nuclear Aurora kinase A switches m^(6)A reader YTHDC1 to enhance an oncogenic RNA splicing of tumor suppressor RBM4显示文摘Aberrant RNA splicing produces alternative isoforms of genes to facilitate tumor progression, yet how this process is regulated by oncogenic signal remains largely unknown. Here,we unveil that non-canonical activation of nuclear AURKA promotes an oncogenic RNA splicing of tumor suppressor RBM4 directed by m^(6)A reader YTHDC1 in lung cancer.Nuclear translocation of AURKA is a prerequisite for RNA aberrant splicing, specifically triggering RBM4 splicing from the full isoform(RBM4-FL)to the short isoform(RBM4-S)in a kinase-independent manner.SiSi Li YangFan Qi JiaChuan Yu YuChao Hao Bin He MengJuan Zhang ZhenWei Dai TongHui Jiang SuYi Li Fang Huang Ning Chen Jing Wang MengYing Yang DaPeng Liang Fan An JinYao Zhao WenJun Fan YuJia Pan ZiQian Deng YuanYuan Luo Tao Guo Fei Peng ZhiJie Hou ChunLi Wang FeiMeng Zheng LingZhi Xu Jie Xu QingPing Wen BiLian Jin Yang Wang Quentin Liu 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,5:4
Increased plasma leptin as a novel predictor for psychopathological depressive symptoms in chronic schizophrenia显示文摘Background Depressive symptoms are often seen in schizophrenia. The overlap in presentation makes it difficult to distinguish depressive symptoms from the negative symptoms of schizophrenia. The adipokine leptin was found to be altered in both depression and schizophrenia. There are few studies focusing on the prediction of leptin in diagnosis and evaluation of depressive symptoms in schizophrenia.ObjectiveAims To assess the plasma leptin level in patients with schizophrenia and its relationships with depressive symptoms. Methods Cross-sectional studies were applied to(1) compare the levels of plasma leptin between schizophrenia(n=74) and healthy controls(n=50); and(2)investigate the relationship between plasma leptin levels and depressive subscores.Results(1) Plasma leptin levels were significantly higher in patients with schizophrenia than in healthy controls.(2) Correlation analysis revealed a significant negative association between leptin levels and the depressed factor scores on the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS).(3) Stepwise multiple regression analyses identified leptin as an influencing factor for depressed factor score on PANSS.Conclusion Leptin may serve as a predictor for the depressive symptoms of chronic schizophrenia.Jinjie Xu Yumei Jiao Mengjuan Xing Yezhe Lin Yousong Su Wenhua Ding Cuizhen Zhu Yanmin Peng Dake Qi Donghong Cui 2018General Psychiatry2018,31,6:1
Biological Characteristics of Aeromonas Strains in Nanchang Area显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to find effective measures to prevent and control Pelteobagrus fulvidraco hemorrhage.[Methods]Typical disease materials were collected for bacterial isolation and culture and biological characteristics detection, and morphological characteristics were observed by pure culture method.Biochemical characteristics were identified by micro biochemical method.Molecular identification was performed by PCR amplification method.Drug resistance was detected by disk diffusion method. The agar diffusion method was used for the detection of in-vitro inhibitory effect. The immunogenicity of the isolates was detected by subcutaneous immunoassay. The virulence factor was detected by spot inoculation. The intraperitoneal injection was used for the detection of pathogenicity.[Results]The isolates were round, grayish white, and identified as Aeromonas. They fermented maltose, glucose, etc.,did not ferment lactose, and were negative for urea and H2S and positive for lysine and arginine. The target fragment appeared at 1 500,and the sequences shared the highest homology with Aeromonas. The isolates were highly susceptible to amikacin and gentamicin, and resistant to penicillin G and tetracycline.Eight lactic acid bacteria strains produced 1.1-1.9 cm of inhibition zone against the isolates. After the second vaccination, the titer reached 2^13;both hemolysin and protease were produced;and the test mice died within 24 h.[Conclusions]The isolates are Aeromonas, and have strong drug resistance, immunogenicity and pathogenicity.Inactivated emusion-oil vaccines of Aeromonas combined with the co-use of lactic acid bacteria and susceptible drugs can prevent the outbreak of diseases caused by Aeromonas.Xinyi SHAN Dongxu WEN Xiaolan LIU Wangming TAO Mengjuan ZHANG Wei QI Fengwei ZHANG Zhixiu ZHU 2019Agricultural Biotechnology2019,8,3:1
Analysis of COVID-19 Guideline Quality and Change of Recommendations:A Systematic Review显示文摘Background.Hundreds of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)clinical practice guidelines(CPGs)and expert consensus statements have been developed and published since the outbreak of the epidemic. However, these CPGs are of widely variable quality. So,this review is aimed at systematically evaluating the methodological and reporting qualities of COVID-19 CPGs,exploring factors that may influence their quality, and analyzing the change of recommendations in CPGs with evidence published.Methods.We searched five electronic databases and five websites from 1 January to 31 December 2020 to retrieve all COVID-19 CPGs.The assessment of the methodological and reporting qualities of CPGs was performed using the AGREE II instrument and RIGHT checklist.Recommendations and evidence used to make recommendations in the CPGs regarding some treatments for COVID-19(remdesivir,glucocorticoids,hydroxychloroquine/chloroquine,interferon,and lopinavir-ritonavir)were also systematically assessed. And the statistical inference was performed to identify factors associated with the quality of CPGs.Results.We included a total of 92 COVID-19 CPGs developed by 19 countries.Overall, the RIGHT checklist reporting rate of COVID-19 CPGs was 33.0%,and the AGREE II domain score was 30.4%.The overall methodological and reporting qualities of COVID-19 CPGs gradually improved during the year 2020.Factors associated with high methodological and reporting qualities included the evidence-based development process, management of conflicts of interest, and use of established rating systems to assess the quality of evidence and strength of recommendations. The recommendations of only seven(7.6%)CPGs were informed by a systematic review of evidence, and these seven CPGs have relatively high methodological and reporting qualities,in which six of them fully meet the Institute of Medicine(IOM)criteria of guidelines.Besides,a rapid advice CPG developed by the World Health Organization(WHO)of the seven CPGs got the highest overall scores in methodological(72.8%)and reporting qualities(83.8%).Many CPGs covered the same clinical questions(it refers to the clinical questions on the effectiveness of treatments of remdesivir,glucocorticoids,hydroxychloroquine/chloroquine,interferon,and lopinavirritonavir in COVID-19 patients)and were published by different countries or organizations.Although randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews on the effectiveness of treatments of remdesivir,glucocorticoids,hydroxychloroquine/chloroquine,interferon,and lopinavir-ritonavir for patients with COVID-19 have been published, the recommendations on those treatments still varied greatly across COVID-19 CPGs published in different countries or regions, which may suggest that the CPGs do not make sufficient use of the latest evidence.Conclusions.Both the methodological and reporting qualities of COVID-19 CPGs increased over time, but there is still room for further improvement. The lack of effective use of available evidence and management of conflicts of interest were the main reasons for the low quality of the CPGs.The use of formal rating systems for the quality of evidence and strength of recommendations may help to improve the quality of CPGs in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.During the pandemic,we suggest developing a living guideline of which recommendations are supported by a systematic review for it can facilitate the timely translation of the latest research findings to clinical practice. We also suggest that CPG developers should register the guidelines in a registration platform at the beginning for it can reduce duplication development of guidelines on the same clinical question, increase the transparency of the development process, and promote cooperation among guideline developers all over the world.Since the International Practice Guideline Registry Platform has been created, developers could register guidelines prospectively and internationally on this platform.Siya Zhao Shuya Lu Shouyuan Wu Zijun Wang Qiangqiang Guo Qianling Shi Hairong Zhang Juanjuan Zhang Hui Liu Yunlan Liu Xianzhuo Zhang Ling Wang Mengjuan Ren Ping Wang Hui Lan Qi Zhou Yajia Sun Jin Cao Qinyuan Li Janne Estill Joseph LMathew Hyeong Sik Ahn Myeong Soo Lee Xiaohui Wang Chenyan Zhou Yaolong Chen 2021Health Data Science2021,,1:1

Misdiagnosis of malignant meningioma in subcutaneous soft tissue of the forehead: A case report显示文摘Meningiomas, the most common intracranial primary tumors, are always benign. Extracranial and distant metastases can occur in malignant meningiomas. This case report describes a male in his 50 s with malignant meningioma and metastases to the subcutaneous soft tissue. Preoperative color Doppler ultrasound showed that the tumor had an abundant blood flow. Intraoperative pathological examination revealed a malignant tumor. Postoperative pathological examination revealed malignant tumors in the forehead;thus, malignant meningiomas were suspected. Immunohistochemistry revealed grade Ⅲ malignant meningioma. Malignant meningiomas have the ability to readily spread and metastasize;however, cases of malignant meningiomas disintegrating the bone and metastasizing to the subcutaneous part of the head have not been reported.Mengjuan Li Min Qi 2022Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2022,4,1:0
A facile solution approach for fabrication of small-sized MoSe_(2) with few layers as an efficient hydrogen evolution electrocatalyst显示文摘Unlike fossil fuels, hydrogen is a renewable and clean energy source. It is available in a large amount and spreads throughout the world. When reacting with oxygen, hydrogen releases energy to produce water as the only product.Hence, hydrogen is a promising alternative to fossil fuels[1].Today,most of hydrogen is produced via the steam methane reforming process,in which hightemperature steam is used to produce hydrogen from a methane source. However, methane is non-renewable,and carbon dioxide is generated in the reforming process.Weizhi WANG Wei LI Xinxin WANG Junyao WU Xuewei GU Mengjuan QI Enhong SHENG Konglin WU 2021Frontiers of Materials Science2021,15,3:0
