3Multi-functional bismuth-doped bioglasses: combining bioactivity and photothermal response for bone tumor treatment and tissue repair显示文摘Treatment of large bone defects derived from bone tumor surgery is typically performed in multiple separate operations,such as hyperthermia to extinguish residual malignant cells or implanting bioactive materials to initiate apatite remineralization for tissue repair;it is very challenging to combine these functions into a material.Herein,we report the first photothermal(PT)effect in bismuth(Bi)-doped glasses.On the basis of this discovery,we have developed a new type of Bi-doped bioactive glass that integrates both functions,thus reducing the number of treatment cycles.We demonstrate that Bi-doped bioglasses(BGs)provide high PT efficiency,potentially facilitating photoinduced hyperthermia and bioactivity to allow bone tissue remineralization.The PT effect of Bi-doped BGs can be effectively controlled by managing radiative and non-radiative processes of the active Bi species by quenching photoluminescence(PL)or depolymerizing glass networks.In vitro studies demonstrate that such glasses are biocompatible to tumor and normal cells and that they can promote osteogenic cell proliferation,differentiation,and mineralization.Upon illumination with near-infrared(NIR)light,the bioglass(BG)can efficiently kill bone tumor cells,as demonstrated via in vitro and in vivo experiments.This indicates excellent potential for the integration of multiple functions within the new materials,which will aid in the development and application of novel biomaterials.Liping Wang Nicholas J.Long Lihua Li Yao Lu Mei Li Jiangkun Cao Yu Zhang Qinyuan Zhang Shanhui Xu Zhongmin Yang Chuanbin Mao Mingying Peng 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:6

5One ion to catch them all: Targeted high-precision Boltzmann thermometry over a wide temperature range with Gd^(3+)显示文摘Ratiometric luminescence thermometry with trivalent lanthanide ions and their 4f^(n) energy levels is an emerging technique for non-invasive remote temperature sensing with high spatial and temporal resolution.Conventional ratiometric luminescence thermometry often relies on thermal coupling between two closely lying energy levels governed by Boltzmann’s law.Despite its simplicity,Boltzmann thermometry with two excited levels allows precise temperature sensing,but only within a limited temperature range.While low temperatures slow down the nonradiative transitions required to generate a measurable population in the higher excitation level,temperatures that are too high favour equalized populations of the two excited levels,at the expense of low relative thermal sensitivity.In this work,we extend the concept of Boltzmann thermometry to more than two excited levels and provide quantitative guidelines that link the choice of energy gaps between multiple excited states to the performance in different temperature windows.By this approach,it is possible to retain the high relative sensitivity and precision of the temperature measurement over a wide temperature range within the same system.We demonstrate this concept using YAl_(3)(BO_(3))_(4)(YAB):Pr^(3+),Gd^(3+)with an excited 6 PJ crystal field and spin-orbit split levels of Gd^(3+)in the UV range to avoid a thermal black body background even at the highest temperatures.This phosphor is easily excitable with inexpensive and powerful blue LEDs at 450 nm.Zero-background luminescence thermometry is realized by using blue-to-UV energy transfer upconversion with the Pr^(3+)−Gd^(3+)couple upon excitation in the visible range.This method allows us to cover a temperature window between 30 and 800 K.Dechao Yu Huaiyong Li Dawei Zhang Qinyuan Zhang Andries Meijerink Markus Suta 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,12:4

7In situ instant generation of an ultrabroadband near-infrared emission center in bismuth-doped borosilicate glasses via a femtosecond laser显示文摘Bismuth(Bi)-doped photonic materials, which exhibit broadband near-infrared(NIR) luminescence(1000–1600 nm), are evolving into interesting gain media. However, the traditional methods have shown their limitations in enhancing Bi NIR emission, especially in the microregion. Consequently, the typical NIR emission has seldom been achieved in Bi-doped waveguides, which highly restricts the application of Bi-activated materials.Here, superbroadband Bi NIR emission is induced in situ instantly in the grating region by a femtosecond(fs)laser inside borosilicate glasses. A series of structural and spectroscopic characterizations are summoned to probe the generation mechanism. And we show how this novel NIR emission in the grating region can be enhanced significantly and erased reversibly. 8Ultra-Fine Heterogeneous Microstructure Enables High Strength-Ductility in a Cold-Rolled Medium Mn Steel显示文摘The objective of the present study is to develop heterogeneous microstructure in cold-rolled medium Mn steels(MMSs)annealing strategy.The cold-rolled Fe-4.7Mn-0.15C(wt%)steel is annealed twice at different temperatures to produce an ultra-fine heterogeneous microstructure with lath-shaped and granular-shaped retained austenite.Excellent mechanical behavior of significant strength enhancement with negligible ductility loss can be achieved.The high strength-ductility properties are attributed to the active transformation induced plasticity effect over a broad strain range owing to dispersive mechanical stabilities of the heterogeneous austenite.Furthermore,the typical yield point elongation phenomenon which is commonly observed in cold-rolled MMSs can be effectively reduced by this microstructural strategy.Baojia Hu Chengwu Zheng Qinyuan Zheng Peng Liu Chunni Jia Dianzhong Li 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,10:2

11A multiple user sharing behaviors based approach for fake file detection in P2P environments显示文摘File pollution is a problem that is threatening security and availability in peer-to-peer environments, and could eventually be fatal to the survival of these systems. Current methods of fake file detection, which are based on trust mechanisms or file characteristics, do not consider the problems such as interference of multiple user sharing behaviors, the difficulty in obtaining large amounts of raw data, and malicious fraud immediately after version publication. This is the first time that differences in the sharing habits of users and particularly long retention time for individual files have been detected, which impact fake file detection. This paper proposes a pollution prevention model based on multiple user sharing behaviors, which reduces interference in multiple user sharing behaviors and malicious fraud immediately after version publication. It designs a low-cost implementation mechanism for use in structured peer-to-peer networks, which automatically collects a large amount of user file-sharing information and alleviates difficulties in obtaining large quantities of raw data. A parameter configuration is also given in this paper. 12Steering motion control of a snake robot via a biomimetic approach显示文摘We propose a biomimetic approach for steering motion control of a snake robot. Inspired by a vertebrate biological motor system paradigm, a hierarchical control scheme is adopted. In the control scheme, an artificial central pattern generator(CPG) is employed to generate serpentine locomotion in the robot. This generator outputs the coordinated desired joint angle commands to each lower-level effector controller, while the locomotion can be controlled through CPG modulation by a higher-level motion controller. The motion controller consists of a cerebellar model articulation controller(CMAC) and a proportional-derivative(PD) controller. Because of the fast learning ability of the CMAC, the proposed motion controller can drive the robot to track the desired orientation and adapt to unexpected perturbations. The PD controller is employed to expedite the convergence speed of the motion controller. 15Analysis of COVID-19 Guideline Quality and Change of Recommendations:A Systematic Review显示文摘Background.Hundreds of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)clinical practice guidelines(CPGs)and expert consensus statements have been developed and published since the outbreak of the epidemic.However,these CPGs are of widely variable quality.So,this review is aimed at systematically evaluating the methodological and reporting qualities of COVID-19 CPGs,exploring factors that may influence their quality,and analyzing the change of recommendations in CPGs with evidence published.Methods.We searched five electronic databases and five websites from 1 January to 31 December 2020 to retrieve all COVID-19 CPGs.The assessment of the methodological and reporting qualities of CPGs was performed using the AGREE II instrument and RIGHT checklist.Recommendations and evidence used to make recommendations in the CPGs regarding some treatments for COVID-19(remdesivir,glucocorticoids,hydroxychloroquine/chloroquine,interferon,and lopinavir-ritonavir)were also systematically assessed.And the statistical inference was performed to identify factors associated with the quality of CPGs.Results.We included a total of 92 COVID-19 CPGs developed by 19 countries.Overall,the RIGHT checklist reporting rate of COVID-19 CPGs was 33.0%,and the AGREE II domain score was 30.4%.The overall methodological and reporting qualities of COVID-19 CPGs gradually improved during the year 2020.Factors associated with high methodological and reporting qualities included the evidence-based development process,management of conflicts of interest,and use of established rating systems to assess the quality of evidence and strength of recommendations.The recommendations of only seven(7.6%)CPGs were informed by a systematic review of evidence,and these seven CPGs have relatively high methodological and reporting qualities,in which six of them fully meet the Institute of Medicine(IOM)criteria of guidelines.Besides,a rapid advice CPG developed by the World Health Organization(WHO)of the seven CPGs got the highest overall scores in methodological(72.8%)and reporting qualities(83.8%).Many CPGs covered the same clinical questions(it refers to the clinical questions on the effectiveness of treatments of remdesivir,glucocorticoids,hydroxychloroquine/chloroquine,interferon,and lopinavirritonavir in COVID-19 patients)and were published by different countries or organizations.Although randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews on the effectiveness of treatments of remdesivir,glucocorticoids,hydroxychloroquine/chloroquine,interferon,and lopinavir-ritonavir for patients with COVID-19 have been published,the recommendations on those treatments still varied greatly across COVID-19 CPGs published in different countries or regions,which may suggest that the CPGs do not make sufficient use of the latest evidence.Conclusions.Both the methodological and reporting qualities of COVID-19 CPGs increased over time,but there is still room for further improvement.The lack of effective use of available evidence and management of conflicts of interest were the main reasons for the low quality of the CPGs.The use of formal rating systems for the quality of evidence and strength of recommendations may help to improve the quality of CPGs in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.During the pandemic,we suggest developing a living guideline of which recommendations are supported by a systematic review for it can facilitate the timely translation of the latest research findings to clinical practice.We also suggest that CPG developers should register the guidelines in a registration platform at the beginning for it can reduce duplication development of guidelines on the same clinical question,increase the transparency of the development process,and promote cooperation among guideline developers all over the world.Since the International Practice Guideline Registry Platform has been created,developers could register guidelines prospectively and internationally on this platform.Siya Zhao Shuya Lu Shouyuan Wu Zijun Wang Qiangqiang Guo Qianling Shi Hairong Zhang Juanjuan Zhang Hui Liu Yunlan Liu Xianzhuo Zhang Ling Wang Mengjuan Ren Ping Wang Hui Lan Qi Zhou Yajia Sun Jin Cao Qinyuan Li Janne Estill Joseph LMathew Hyeong Sik Ahn Myeong Soo Lee Xiaohui Wang Chenyan Zhou Yaolong Chen 2021Health Data Science2021,,1:1

17Li-ion charge storage performance of wood-derived carbon fibers@MnO as a battery anode显示文摘Wood-derived carbons have been demonstrated to have large specific capacities as the anode materials of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs). However, these carbons generally show low tap density and minor volumetric capacity because of high specific surface area and pore volume. Combination with metal oxide is one of the expected methods to alleviate the obstacles of wood-derived carbons. In this work, the composites of Mn O loaded wood-derived carbon fibers(CF@Mn O) were prepared via a simple and environmentally friendly method, showing decreased specific surface area due to the generation of Mn O nanoparticles on carbon fibers. Furthermore, the CF@Mn O compostites exhibit superior electrochemical performance as anode materials of LIBs, which show high reversible capacity in the range of 529-734 m Ah/g at a current density of 100 m A/g. The optimal CF@Mn O product(Mn O:carbon = 1:2) delivers reversible capacity of 734 and 265.3 m Ah/g at current density of 100 and 2000 m A/g, respectively. 19Multicolored structural coloration of carbon nanotube fibers显示文摘Carbon nanotube fibers(CNTFs)are endowed with excellent mechanical,electrical,and thermal properties and are considered promising candidates in numerous cutting-edge fields.However,the inherent black color of CNTFs hinders their practical application in fields with high aesthetic requirements such as wearable devices and smart textiles.Due to the smooth surface and chemical inertness,CNTFs are hard to be dyed by conventional chemical dyes or colorful inks.Herein,we realize a structural coloration of CNTFs by coating them with two metal oxide layers via atomic layer deposition.The three elements of color,that is,hue,saturation,and brightness,can be controlled by adjusting the types and thickness of each oxide layer.Colorful CNTFs with wide color gamut and high saturation are achieved through different combinations.A film interference model is also established to reveal the mechanism of the structural coloration,which is a comprehensive result of thin-film interference and surface roughness briefly.The calculated reflectance well fits the measured results by introducing surface roughness parameters.Moreover,the colored CNTFs are not iridescent because of retinal signal delay,which will further expand their applications.Run Li Shiliang Zhang Hang Chen Ya Huang Baoshun Wang Xueke Wu Qinyuan Jiang Siming Zhao Fei Wang Yanlong Zhao Rufan Zhang 2023SusMat2023,3,1:0
20MCGA-assisted ignition process and flame propagation of a scramjet at Mach 2.0显示文摘The ignition process and flame propagation with ethylene fuel in cavity-stabilized scramjet by a Multi-Channel Gliding Arc(MCGA)at Mach 2.0 were investigated.Effects of equivalence ratios on the MCGA-assisted ignition process and flame propagation of the scramjet were recorded by two high-speed cameras from different view angles.The discharge characteristics of MCGA are also collected synchronously with the high-speed cameras.The distributions of temperature,velocity,and equivalence ratios in non-reactive flows of the cavity were simulated by Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)model.The results show that MCGA can achieve reliable ignition with the Global Equivalence Ratios(GER)between 0.06 and 0.17.The ignition process is composed of flame kernel generation,flame development,and stable combustion.The time from flame kernel generation to the establishment of global flame decreases as GER decreases from 0.17 to 0.08.In the streamwise direction,the flame first develops to the Cavity Leading Edge(CLE)because of the influence of the cavity recirculation zone and then uplifts into the cavity shear layer,and finally develops to the Cavity Trailing Edge(CTE).In the spanwise direction,the flame width is less than 50%of the width of the cavity before developing to CLE and begins to develop towards the two sides of the combustor after reaching CLE,which is affected by the angular recirculation zone on both sides of CLE.The ignition processes by MCGA in the scramjet combustor are significantly affected by local distributions of equivalence ratios and velocity in the cavity.Tiangang LUO Jiajian ZHU Mingbo SUN Rong FENG Yifu TIAN Qinyuan LI Minggang WAN Yongchao SUN 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,7:0
