2Radio frequency energy regulates the multi-scale structure,digestive and physicochemical properties of rice starch显示文摘Radio frequency (RF) heating as an emerging technology was applied to regulate the structural,digestive and physicochemical properties of rice starch.In vitro digestibility results showed that RF treatment enhanced the resistant starch content and reduced the rapidly digestible starch content of rice starch,resulting in higher resistant to enzyme hydrolysis.Microstructure analysis indicated that RF treatment caused the granular surface erosions and morphology changes with increasing treatment time.RF treatment did not alter the A-type crystal form of starch,but disrupted the relative crystallinity,short-range molecular order,and lamellar structure in different degrees.Moreover,the DSC results suggested that starch orders with a higher thermal stability formed after RF treatment,thereby reducing the accessibility of starch granules to the enzyme.Furthermore,rapid viscosity analysis revealed that RF treatment significantly reduced the peak viscosity and breakdown of indica and japonica rice starch,while increased them in waxy rice starch.The rheological properties of rice starch were also changed after RF treatment.This work provides a theoretical basis for the application of RF technology in starch modification.Zhenna Zhang Mengqing Zhang Bin Zhang Yunyang Wang Wei Zhao 2022Food Bioscience2022,47,3:2
3Effect of Dietary Vitamin E on the Sperm Quality of Turbot(Scophthalmus maximus)显示文摘A 3-month feeding experiment was conducted in an in-door seawater system to investigate the effect of dietary vitamin E(Ve) on the sperm quality of turbot(Scophthalmus maximus). D-α-tocopherol acetate was supplemented to the basal(control) diet(65.14 mg kg–1 Ve) to obtain low and high levels of dietary Ve(244.60 mg kg–1, LVe; 721.60 mg kg–1, HVe). Compared with the control, sperm concentration was significantly increased in Ve-supplemented groups(LVe and HVe); while relative sperm volume and testis-somatic index were significantly increased in group HVe only. Sperm motility duration was significantly longer in group HVe than in the control, but no significant difference was observed in percent motility among groups. Sperm size, the uniformity of mitochondrial size, and the integrity of mitochondria cristae and plasma membrane were improved by dietary Ve, especially in HVe. The content of Ve in testis and liver as well as polyunsaturated fatty acids in sperm increased with dietary Ve. 4Construction of cDNA Library from the Antenna of Chrysopa pallens(Rambur)显示文摘A full-length c DNA library from the antenna of Chrysopa pallens( Rambur) was constructed based on switching mechanism at 5’ end of RNA transcript( SMART) system. The purified double-stranded c DNA was ligated to vector SMART2 IFD,and transformed into Escherichia coli DH5ɑ by electroporation. The library constructed for female and male reached high titers of 2. 1 × 10~6 and 1. 8 × 10~6 pfu / m L,respectively. PCR results showed that the inserts varied from 400 bp to 2 000 bp with the average size larger than 500 bp and the recombination rate over 93. 0%. 9Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM) Observations of Antennal Sensilla of Chrysopa pallens Rambur(Neuroptera:Chrysopidae)显示文摘[Objectives]The paper was to provide background information for ongoing research on relationship between smell and behavior of the green lacewing Chrysopa pallens( Rambur)( Neuroptera: Chrysopidae). [Methods]The submicroscopic structure of antennal sensilla of C. pallens was examined using scanning electron microscopy. [Results]Antennae of female and male C. pallens were linear in shape and( 1. 52 ± 0. 08) and( 1. 58 ± 0. 23) cm in length,respectively. The scape and pedicel were composed of single sub-segment,while the flagellum consisted of 116 sub-segments,on which most sensilla distributed. The flagella of female and male antennae were( 1. 44 ± 0. 04) and( 1. 47 ± 0. 13) cm in length,respectively. Nine morphological sensilla types were recorded in both sexes,including four types of highly abundant and widely distributed sensilla trichodea( ST Ⅰ,ST Ⅱ,ST Ⅲ and ST Ⅳ),three types of sensilla basiconica( SB Ⅰ,SB Ⅱ,and SB Ⅲ),and one of each type of sensilla chaetica and B9 hm bristles. Although the shape,structure,numbers,and distribution of antennae of females and males were basically similar,major differences were recorded between the sexes in the length of some sensilla types. Both the ST Ⅲ and SB Ⅰ in female adults were significantly longer than that in male ones. Notably,SB Ⅱ was found only in female. 10Evolution of holometaboly revealed by developmental transformation of internal thoracic structures in a green lacewing Chrysopa pallens(Neuroptera:Chrysopidae)显示文摘Despite extensive studies on the morphology of holometabolous insects and their larvae,the morphological transformations of internal structures during metamorphosis have been rarely documented.Here,we used micro-computed tomography to investigate the developmental transformations of thoracic structures in the green lacewing Chrysopa pallens(Rambur,1838)(Neuroptera:Chrysopidae),with emphasis on the development of the digestive,tracheal,and thoracic skeleto-muscular system.All the adult organs were modified during the prepupal or early pupal stage.The histolysis and remodeling began with the skeletal elements,followed by changes in the digestive system before it concluded with modifications of the musculature.Similar to the tracheal system’s development,the digestive system did not disappear completely throughout metamorphosis but underwent a dramatic morphological change,which included the midgut significantly decreasing in size during the pupal stage.Our results provide important evidence for understanding the evolutionary pattern of developmental transformations in different major lineages of Holometabola.Chenjing Zhao Mengqing Wang Caixia Gao Min Li Kuiyan Zhang Ding Yang Xingyue Liu 2022Insect Science2022,29,3:0

12Gut microbiota affects the estrus return of sows by regulating the metabolism of sex steroid hormones显示文摘Background Sex hormones play important roles in the estrus return of post-weaning sows.Previous studies have demonstrated a complex and bi-directional regulation between sex hormones and gut microbiota.However,the extent to which the gut microbiota affects estrus return of post-weaning sows is largely unknown.Results In this study,we first screened 207 fecal samples from well-phenotyped sows by 16S rRNA gene sequencing and identified significant associations between microbes and estrus return of post-weaning sows.Using metagenomic sequencing data from 85 fecal samples,we identified 37 bacterial species that were significantly associated with estrus return.Normally returning sows were characterized by increased abundances of L.reuteri and P.copri and decreased abundances of B.fragilis,S.suis,and B.pseudolongum.The changes in gut microbial composition significantly altered the functional capacity of steroid hormone biosynthesis in the gut microbiome.The results were confirmed in a validation cohort.Significant changes in sex steroid hormones and related compounds were found between normal and non-return sows via metabolome analysis.An integrated analysis of differential bacterial species,metagenome,and fecal metabolome provided evidence that normal return-associated bacterial species L.reuteri and Prevotella spp.participated in the degradation of pregnenolone,progesterone,and testosterone,thereby promoting estrogen biosynthesis.Furthermore,the microbial metabolites related to sow energy and nutrient supply or metabolic disorders also showed relationships with sow estrus return.Conclusions An integrated analysis of differentially abundant bacterial species,metagenome,and fecal metabolome revealed the involvement of L.reuteri and Prevotella spp.in sow estrus return.These findings provide deep insight into the role of gut microbiota in the estrus return of post-weaning sows and the complex cross-talk between gut microbiota and sex hormones,suggesting that the manipulation of the gut microbiota could be an effective strategy to improve sow estrus return after weaning.Min Liu Jia Zhang Yunyan Zhou Shuqi Xiong Mengqing Zhou Lin Wu Qin Liu Zhe Chen Hui Jiang Jiawen Yang Yuxin Liu Yaxiang Wang Congying Chen Lusheng Huang 2024Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2024,15,2:0

16Rationally designing electrolyte additives for highly improving cyclability of LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)/Graphite cells显示文摘High voltage is necessary for high energy lithium-ion batteries but difficult to achieve because of the highly deteriorated cyclability of the batteries.A novel strategy is developed to extend cyclability of a high voltage lithium-ion battery,LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)/Graphite(LNMO/Graphite)cell,which emphasizes a rational design of an electrolyte additive that can effectively construct protective interphases on anode and cathode and highly eliminate the effect of hydrogen fluoride(HF).5-Trifluoromethylpyridine-trime thyl lithium borate(LTFMP-TMB),is synthesized,featuring with multi-functionalities.Its anion TFMPTMB-tends to be enriched on cathode and can be preferentially oxidized yielding TMB and radical TFMP-.Both TMB and radical TFMP can combine HF and thus eliminate the detrimental effect of HF on cathode,while the TMB dragged on cathode thus takes a preferential oxidation and constructs a protective cathode interphase.On the other hand,LTFMP-TMB is preferentially reduced on anode and constructs a protective anode interphase.Consequently,a small amount of LTFMP-TMB(0.2%)in 1.0 M LiPF6in EC/DEC/EMC(3/2/5,wt%)results in a highly improved cyclability of LNMO/Graphite cell,with the capacity retention enhanced from 52%to 80%after 150 cycles at 0.5 C between 3.5 and 4.8 V.The as-developed strategy provides a model of designing electrolyte additives for improving cyclability of high voltage batteries.Zhiyong Xia Kuan Zhou Xiaoyan Lin Zhangyating Xie Qiurong Chen Xiaoqing Li Jie Cai Suli Li Hai Wang Mengqing Xu Weishan Li 2024Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,91,4:0
17Design and motion control analysis of double helix wall climbing robot显示文摘For the detection environment of complex walls such as high-rise buildings,a double helix wall climbing robot(DHWCR)with strong adsorption force and good stability is designed and developed,which uses symmetrical propellers to provide adsorption force.The symmetrical driving structure can provide smooth thrust for the DHWCR,so that the robot can be absorbed to the wall surface with different roughness.A left and right control frame with multiple degrees of freedom is designed,which can adjust the fixed position of the brushless propeller motor in the front and back directions,realize the continuous adjustable thrust direction of the robot,and improve the flexibility of the robot movement.Using the front wheel steering mechanism with universal joint,the steering control of the DHWCR is realized by differential control.In the vertical to ground transition,the front and rear brushless motors can provide the pull up and oblique thrust,so that the DHWCR can smoothly transition to the vertical wall.The motion performance and adaptability of the DHWCR in the horizontal ground and vertical wall environment are tested.The results show that the DHWCR can switch motion between the horizontal ground and vertical wall,and can stably adsorb on the vertical wall with flexible attitude control.The DHWCR can move at a fast speed.The speed on the horizontal ground is higher than that on the vertical wall,which verifies the feasibility and reliability of the DHWCR moving stably on the vertical wall.Jinzhan WANG Minglu CHI Yue MA Qinchao REN Mengqing HUANG Yibo CHEN Ruihua REN Jinyu WANG Si LIU 2022Mechanical Engineering Science2022,4,1:0
