1Enhanced production of seed oil with improved fatty acid composition by overexpressing NAD^(+)-dependent glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase in soybean显示文摘There is growing interest in expanding the production of soybean oils(mainly triacylglycerol, or TAG) to meet rising feed demand and address global energy concerns. We report that a plastidlocalized glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase(GPDH), encoded by GmGPDHp1 gene, catalyzes the formation of glycerol-3-phosphate(G3 P), an obligate substrate required for TAG biosynthesis.Overexpression of GmGPDHp1 increases soybean seed oil content with high levels of unsaturated fatty acids(FAs), especially oleic acid(C18:1), without detectably affecting growth or seed protein content or seed weight. Based on the lipidomic analyses, we found that the increase in G3 P content led to an elevated diacylglycerol(DAG) pool, in which the Kennedy pathwayderived DAG was mostly increased, followed by PC-derived DAG, thereby promoting the synthesis of TAG containing relatively high proportion of C18:1. The increased G3 P levels induced several transcriptional alterations of genes involved in the glycerolipid pathways. In particular, genes encoding the enzymes responsible for de novo glycerolipid synthesis were largely upregulated in the transgenic lines, in-line with the identified biochemical phenotype. 5TOWARD SUSTAINABLE MAIZE PRODUCTION FOR SMALLHOLDERS THROUGH OPTIMIZED STRATEGIES IN NORTH CHINA显示文摘Agricultural production by smallholders is crucial for ensuring food provision in China.However,smallholders face a series of challenges on their farms including high-to-excess resource inputs,low use efficiency,as well as negative environmental impacts,which may be unfavorable for sustainable agriculture production.This study developed a county-level sustainability assessment of maize production in Hebei,China,by applying multiple data sources in combination with emergy,carbon footprint,nitrogen footprint and costbenefit analyses.Scenario analysis was applied to explore the localized implementation strategies to achieve the sustainable farming system.The results show that the average emergy sustainability index(ESI)of maize at 2.31 is relatively low.The average greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions and reactive nitrogen(Nr)losses are 0.15 g·kcal^(−1) CO_(2)-eq and 3.75 mg·kcal^(−1) N,respectively.The average cost and net income are 12,700 and 4340 CNY·ha^(−1),respectively.These results indicate a great potential to improve the environmental-economic sustainability of the maize production system of smallholders.In addition,the environmental and economic indicators calculated from the maize production show a substantial spatial heterogeneity among counties,indicating a requirement for different optimization strategies to improve the environment-economy sustainability at a finer scale.Based on the multiple scenario analysis,optimal strategies targeting each county are proposed.By adopting the optimal strategies,the average ESI and net income could increase by 32%and 83%,respectively,and the average GHG emissions and Nr losses reduce by 33%and 35%,respectively.These findings provide an important reference for adopting different strategies to achieve environmenteconomy sustainability for smallholders production systems with diverse landscapes in North China and propose a transition pathway toward achieving agriculture sustainability for smallholders worldwide.Jie YAN Yize LIU Rui ZHANG Chenhui CUI Yingying ZHENG Minghao ZHUANG 2022Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2022,9,4:0
6Stabilizing perovskite precursors with the reductive natural amino acid for printable mesoscopic perovskite solar cells显示文摘Solution processability significantly advances the development of highly-efficient perovskite solar cells.However,the precursor solution tends to undergo irreversible degradation reactions,impairing the device performance and reproducibility.Here,we utilize a reductive natural amino acid,Nacetylcysteine(NALC),to stabilize the precursor solution for printable carbon-based hole-conductorfree mesoscopic perovskite solar cells.We find that I_(2) can be generated in the aged solution containing methylammonium iodide(MI) in an inert atmosphere and speed up the MA-FA^(+)(formamidinium) reaction which produces large-size cations and hinders the formation of perovskite phase.NALC effectively stabilizes the precursor via its sulfhydryl group which reduces I_(2) back to I^(-)and provides H^(+).The NALC-stabilized precursor which is aged for 1440 h leads to devices with a power conversion efficiency equivalent to 98% of that for devices prepared with the fresh precursor.Furthermore,NALC improves the device power conversion efficiency from 16.16% to 18.41% along with enhanced stability under atmospheric conditions by modifying grain boundaries in perovskite films and reducing associated defects.Wenjing Hu Jian Yang Chuang Yang Xufeng Xiao Chaoyang Wang Zhaozhen Cui Qiaojiao Gao Jianhang Qi Minghao Xia Yaqiong Su Anyi Mei Hongwei Han 2024Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,90,3:0
7Survey of Methods for Time Series Symbolic Aggregate Approximation显示文摘Time series analysis is widely used in the fields of finance, medical, and climate monitoring. However, the high dimension characteristic of time series brings a lot of inconvenience to its application. In order to solve the high dimensionality problem of time series, symbolic representation, a method of time series feature representation is proposed, which plays an important role in time series classification and clustering, pattern matching, anomaly detection and others. In this paper, existing symbolization representation methods of time series were reviewed and compared. Firstly, the classical symbolic aggregate approximation (SAX) principle and its deficiencies were analyzed. Then, several SAX improvement methods, including aSAX, SMSAX, ESAX and some others, were introduced and classified;Meanwhile, an experiment evaluation of the existing SAX methods was given. 8Facile and scalable preparation of ultra-large boron nitride nanosheets and their use for highly thermally conductive polymer composites显示文摘Due to their excellent physical and chemical properties,boron nitride nanosheets(BNNSs)have shown great application potential in many fields.However,the difficulty in scalable preparation of large-size BNNSs is still the current factor that limits this.Herein,a simple yet efficient microwave-assisted chemical exfoliation strategy is proposed to realize scalable preparation of BNNSs by using perchloric acid as the edge modifier and intercalation agent of h-BN.The as-obtained BNNSs behave a thin-layered structure(average thickness of 3.9 nm)with a high yield of~16%.Noteworthy,the size of BNNSs is maintained to the greatest extent so as to realize the preparation of BNNSs with ultra-large size(up to 7.1μm),which is the largest so far obtained for the top-down exfoliated BNNSs.Benefiting from the large size,it can significantly improve the thermal diffusion coefficient and the thermal conductivity of polyvinyl alcohol by 51 and 62 times respectively,both showing a higher value than the one previously reported.This demonstrates that the prepared BNNSs have great promise in enhancing the thermal conductivity of polymer materials.Wenyu WU Bin GUO Xiaojing LIU Huaxin MA Zhao ZHANG Zhi ZHANG Minghao CUI Yu GU Ruijun ZHANG 2022Frontiers of Materials Science2022,16,1:0
