1Activated carbon supported TiO_2 -photocatalysis doped with Fe ions for continuous treatment of dye wastewater in a dynamic reactor显示文摘Fe-doped TiO 2 coated on activated carbon (Fe-TiO 2 /AC, FTA) composites were prepared by an improved sol-gel method and characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometry, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry and BET surface area analysis. Obtained FTA composites were applied to the continuous treatment of dye wastewater in a dynamic reactor. The effects of Fe ion content, catalyst content, UV-lamp power and flowrate of the continuous treatment of dye wastewater on degradation efficiency were analyzed to determine the optimum operating conditions of dye wastewater degradation. Continuous photocatalytic experiments provided interesting results that FTA had a high chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal rate compared with TiO 2 , Fe doped TiO 2 (FT) and TiO 2 coated on activated carbon (TA). In particular, when using the FTA catalyst with a Fe ion content of 0.33%, the kinetic content (k = 0.0376) of COD removal was more than the sum of both TA (0.0205) and 0.33% FT (0.0166). FTA showed a high photoactivity because of a synergistic effect between Fe ions and AC on TiO 2 , which is higher than the individual effects of AC or Fe ions on TiO 2 . Additionally, for the photocatalytic degradation of dye wastewater, the optimum Fe ion content, catalyst content, UV-lamp power and flowrate were 0.33%, 6 g/L, 60 W (two lamps) and 300 mL/hr, respectively. 2Inactivated properties of activated carbon-supported TiO_2 nanoparticles for bacteria and kinetic study显示文摘The activated carbon-supported TiO2 nanoparticles(TiO2/AC)were prepared by a properly controlled sol-gel method.The effects of activated carbons(AC)support on inactivated properties of TiO2 nanoparticles were evaluated by photocatalytic inactivation experiments of Escherichia coli.The key factors affecting the inactivation effciency were investigated,including electric power of lamp, temperature,and pH values.The results show that the TiO2/AC composites have high inactivation properties of E.coli in comparison with pure TiO2 powder.The kinetics of photocatalytic inactivation of E.coli was found to follow a pseudo-first order rate law for TiO2/AC composites,and kinetic behavior could be described in terms of a modified Langmuir-Hinshelwood model.The values of the adsorption equilibrium constants for the bacteria,Kc,and for the rate constants,kr,were certainly depended on TiO2 content.At 47 wt.%TiO2 coatings with the highest rate constant,the Kc and kr were 1.17×10 -8 L/cfu and 1.43×106 cfu/(L·min),respectively.The variety of parameters shows significant effects on inactivation rate.The outer layer of bacteria decomposed first resulting in inactivation of cell,and with further illumination,the cells nearly decomposed.LI, Youji MA, Mingyuan WANG, Xiaohu WANG, Xiaohua 2008Journal of Environmental Sciences2008,20,12:8
3Light absorption properties and potential sources of brown carbon in Fenwei Plain during winter 2018–2019显示文摘A distinctive kind of organic carbon aerosol that could absorb ultraviolet-visible radiation is called brown carbon(Br C),which has an important positive influence on radiative budget and climate change.In this work,we reported the absorption properties and potential source of Br C based on a seven-wavelength aethalometer in the winter of 2018–2019 at an urban site of Sanmenxia in Fenwei Plain in central China.Specifically,the mean value of Br C absorption coefficient was 59.6±36.0 Mm^(-1) at 370 nm and contributed 37.7%to total absorption,which made a significant impact on visibility and regional environment.Absorption coefficients of Br C showed double-peak pattern,and Br C had shown small fluctuations under haze days compared with clean days.As for the sources of Br C,Br C absorption coefficients expressed strong correlations with element carbon aerosols and primary organic carbon aerosols,indicating that most of Br C originated from primary emissions.The linear correlations between trace metal elements(K,As,Fe,Mn,Zn,and Pb)and Br C absorption coefficients further referred that the major sources of Br C were primary emissions,like coal burning,biomass burning,and vehicle emissions.The moderate relationship between Br C absorption coefficients and secondary organic aerosols suggested that secondary production of Br C also played an important role.The 120 hr backward air mass trajectories analysis and concentration-weighted trajectories analysis were also used to investigate potential sources of Br C in and around this area,which inferred most parts of Br C were derived from local emissions.Wenyu Zhang Weigang Wang Jie Li Shuangliang Ma Chaofan Lian Kun Li Bo Shi Mingyuan Liu Yanyu Li QingQing Wang Yele Sun Shengrui Tong Maofa Ge 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4:6

5Preparation of TiO_2/activated carbon with Fe ions doping photocatalyst and its application to photocatalytic degradation of reactive brilliant red K2G显示文摘Titanium dioxide coated on activated carbon(AC) with Fe ions doping(Fe-TiO2/AC) composite was prepared by an improved sol-gel method.The photocatalytic activities were tested by photocatalytic degradation of reactive brilliant red K2G in solution.The results show that in comparison with the agglomeration of pure TiO2,the TiO2 nanoparticles are well dispersed in the AC matrix,of which sizes are decreased with Fe ions doping.Additionally,the iron species on TiO2 of composite are Fe2O3 and FeO,which do not affect the crystalline structures of TiO2 nanoparticles.The AC matrix and iron doping content influence the fluorescence intensity of composite due to their effects on recombination probability of hole-electron pairs.Compared with TiO2,0.3% Fe-TiO2,TiO2/AC,0.5% Fe-TiO2/AC and 0.1% Fe-TiO2/AC,the 0.3% Fe-TiO2/AC shows the highest photoactivity with the complete mineralization of K2G for finite time due to the optimum Fe ions content and AC matrix.Furthermore,the kinetic constant(k=0.0229 min-1) of 0.3% Fe-TiO2/AC composite is more than the sum of both TiO2/AC(0.0154 min-1) and 0.3% Fe-TiO2(0.0057 min-1) because coexistence of the AC and Fe ions has an enlarging effect on improving the photoactivity of TiO2.LI YouJi,LI Jing,MA MingYuan,OUYANG YuZhu & YAN WenBin College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering,Jishou University,Jishou 416000,China 2009Science China Chemistry2009,52,8:4
6A Humidity-Powered Soft Robot with Fast Rolling Locomotion显示文摘A range of soft robotic systems have recently been developed that use soft,flexible materials and respond to environmental stimulus.The greatest challenge in their design is the integration of the actuator,energy sources,and body of robots while achieving fast locomotion and well-defined programmable trajectories.This work presents such a design that operates under constant conditions without the need for an externally modulated stimulus.By using a humidity-sensitive agarose film and overcoming the isotropic and random bending of the film,the robot,which we call the Hydrollbot,harnesses energy from evaporation for spontaneous and continuous fast self-rolling locomotion with a programmable trajectory in a constant-humidity environment.Moreover,the geometric parameters of the film were fine-tuned to maximize the rolling speed,and the optimised hydrollbot is capable of carrying a payload up to 100%of its own weight.The ability to self-propel fast under constant conditions with programmable trajectories will confer practical advantages to this robot in the applications for sensors,medical robots,actuation,etc.Lei Fu Weiqiang Zhao Jiayao Ma Mingyuan Yang Xinmeng Liu Lei Zhang Yan Chen 2022Research2022,,4:3

8Preparation and photocatalytic activity of TiO_2-coated granular activated carbon composites by a molecular adsorption-deposition method显示文摘TiO2 nanoparticle-coated granular activated carbon (GAC) composite photocatalysts (CPs) were suc-cessfully prepared by a molecular adsorption-deposition (MAD) method. The CPs were detected by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), BET surface area and UV-Vis adsorption spectroscopy, and their photoactivity was evaluated by methyl orange (MO) photodegradation. The results show that small-sized TiO2 nanoparticles were dispersed well, deposited on the surface of GAC, and showed slight blue shift in comparison with pure TiO2. With the increase in TiO2 content, the CPs showed band gaps in lower energy, smaller surface areas and the higher content of Ti3+ ions. Compared with pure TiO2 and others CPs samples, CPs-382 sample showed the highest photoactivity due to the optimum TiO2 content and surface area besides the synergic effect of photocatalytic degradation of TiO2 and adsorptive property of GAC. 10Photoactivity of titanium dioxide/carbon felt composites prepared with the assistance of supercritical carbon dioxide: Effects of calcination temperature and supercritical conditions显示文摘TiO2-coated carbon felt(TCF)composite catalysts have been prepared via a supercritical treatment of titanium tetraisopropoxide(TTIP)as the precursor.The physical properties of the catalysts were characterized by means of thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis(TG–DTA),X-ray diffraction(XRD),fluorescence spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy (SEM),and BET surface areas techniques.The photocatalytic activities of the materials were evaluated using the degradation of Congo red(CR)as a probe reaction.All the composites showed much higher photocatalytic activity than commercial P25 due to significant synergistic effects.Reused TCF retained high photocatalytic activity for degradation of CR.The photocatalytic efficiency in CR degradation was found to be strongly dependent on the TiO2-coating ratio and calcination temperature.A possible mechanism for the enhanced reactivity involves shuttling of electrons from TiO2 particles to the carbon felt(CF)as a result of an optimal arrangement in TCF that stabilizes charge separation and reduces charge recombination.In addition to the significant synergistic effects,the abundant spaces between adjacent carbon fibers allow UV light to penetrate into the felt-like photocatalyst to a considerable depth,so that a three-dimensional environment is available for the photocatalytic reaction.LI YouJi CHEN Wei LI LeiYong MA MingYuan 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,3:2

13A comparison of food habits and prey preferences of Amur tiger(Panthera tigris altaica)at the southwest Primorskii Krai in Russia and Hunchun in China显示文摘A small,isolated Amur tiger population ranges across the southwest Primorskii Krai region in Russia and Hunchun region in China.Many individuals,with“dual nationality,”cross the border frequently.Formulating effective conservation strategies requires a clear understanding of tiger food requirements in both countries.While the diets of tigers ranging in Russia is clearly understood,little is known of the tigers’feeding habits in China..We used scat analysis combined with data on the abundance of 4 prey species to examine Amur tiger diet and prey preferences in Hunchun.We examined 53 tiger scat samples from 2011 to 2016 and found that tigers preyed on 12 species(11 species in winter),4 of which were domestic animals with 33.58%biomass contribution;this was the first record of Amur tigers eating lynx in this area.Tigers showed a strong preference for wild boar(Jacobs index:+0.849),which were also the most frequently consumed prey,and a strong avoidance of roe deer(Jacobs index:–0.693).On the Russian side,domestic animals(just dog)were rarely found in tiger scat,and tigers did not show strong avoidance of roe deer,but of sika deer.We also found red deer footprints during winter surveys and that tigers ate red deer on the Chinese side,while there was no record of red deer feeding on the Russian side.Reducing or eliminating human disturbance,such as grazing,is essential to recovering tiger prey and habitat in this area and the Sino–Russian joint ungulate annual survey is indispensable for prey estimates of this small,isolated Amur tiger population.Jiayin GU Lan YU Yan HUA Yao NING Bao HENG Jinzhe QI Zexv LONG Mingyuan YAO Chong HUANG Zhilin LI Jianming LANG Guangshun JIANG Jianzhang MA 2018Integrative Zoology2018,13,5:1
14One-pot synthesis of CNT-SAPO-34 composite supported copper and cerium catalysts with excellent surface resistance to SO_(2) and H_(2)O in NH_(3)-SCR显示文摘CuCe/CNT_(x)-SAPO-34(x=0,0.5,1,2) with various CNT doping quantities were synthesized through the one-pot hydrothermal synthesis method using CNT and SAPO-34 as composite supporters.The selected CuCe/CNT_1-SAPO-34 catalyst exhibits remarkable SCR activity and high H_(2)O/SO_(2) resistance in a wide temperature range of 200-450℃.X-ray diffraction(XRD),N_(2) adsorption-desorption,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray photoelectro n spectroscopy(XPS),H_(2)-temperature programmed reduction(H2-TPR),and NH3-temperature programmed desorption(NH_(3)-TPD) were used to characterize the physiochemical structure,surface state of active sites reducibility,and surface acidity of the catalysts.The characterization results reveal that CuCe/CNT_1-SAPO-34 possesses a hierarchical structure,small particle size,high levels of surface Cu^(2+),Ce^(3+) and chemisorbed oxygen,enhanced reducibility,and suitable surface acidity.For comparison,CuCe/CNT_1-SAPO-34(P) mixed mechanically with CuCe/CNT_0-SAPO-34and CNT was investigated through the NH3-SCR with and without H_(2)O/SO_(2),it also displays lower resistance of H_(2)O and SO_(2) than CuCe/CNT_1-SAPO-34.The catalytic performance made CuCe/CNT_1-SAPO-34 a promising catalyst for the NO_(x) emission control from diesel vehicles.Yuanyuan Ma Zhifang Li Nan Zhao Mingyuan Shi Yuhang Sun Zheng Nan Liying Wang 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,9:1

17Uterine inflammation status modulates eggshell mineralization via calcium transport and matrix protein synthesis in laying hens显示文摘This study explored the effects of uterine inflammation on eggshell mineralization,ultrastructure and mechanical properties in laying hens modified by a lipopolysaccharide(LPS)challenge or dietary essential oil(EO)addition.In trial 1,a total of 72 Hy-line Brown layers at 36 wk of age were randomly assigned to 3 treatment groups(n=8),where they were intravenously injected with phosphate buffered saline,LPS at 1 mg/kg body weight,or LPS 3 times at 24-h intervals.In trial 2,a total of 288 Hy-line Brown layers at 60 wk of age were randomly divided into 4 groups(n=8),where they were fed basal diets supplemented with EO at 0,50,100 and 200 mg/kg for 12 wk.A uterine inflammation model was constructed with LPS treatment,indicated by the elevated expression of IL-1β and TNF-α(P<0.05)and lymphocyte infiltration.Uterine inflammation caused remarkable decreases in eggshell thickness and mechanical properties with structure deteriorations(P<0.05).Uterine inflammation stimulated the expression of matrix proteins ovotransferrin(TF)and ovalbumin(OVAL),while depressing the mRNA levels of calbindin-1(CALB1)and osteopontin in uterine mucosa(P<0.05).In contrast,EO addition alleviated uterine inflammation,evidenced by depressed levels of IL-1b and IL-6(P<0.05).There was a significant elevation in shell thickness and breaking strength following EO intervention(P<0.05),and these effects were maximized at addition of 100 mg/kg.Further,EO improved shell ultrastructure including more early fusion,less type B mammillae,and increased effective thickness(P<0.05).The alleviated inflammation decreased the expression of OVAL and TF,whereas ion transport genes like CALB1 and solute carrier family 26 member 9 were upregulated(P<0.05).Our findings suggest that inflam-matory status can impact uterine functions in calcium transport and the synthesis of matrix proteins especially such as OVAL and TF,which in turn modulates calcium precipitation and ultrastructure for-mation,thereby determining eggshell mechanical properties.These findings provide a novel insight into the uterine inflammation-mediated modifications of eggshell quality.Jia Feng Mingyuan Lu Lingling Ma Haijun Zhang Shugeng Wu Kai Qiu Yuna Min Guanghai Qi Jing Wang 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,2:1
