2Multi-functional stretchable and flexible sensor array to determine the location, shape, and pressure: Application in a smart robot显示文摘The rapid increase in the aging population prompts the development of wearable devices and sophisticated robots. With their ability to collect complex information about their surroundings via e-skins, robots could perform more dynamic and variable tasks such as rescue missions or caring for the elderly. In this paper, we present a new concept of utilizing a very simple, highly flexible and stretchable capacitor sensor array, that can be attached on the surface of a retractable robot hand to realize three functions: determining the location, shape, and pressure of an object. This adaptive sensing system is accomplished using capacitors connected by aligned carbon nanotube(CNT) films constructed on an elastomer dielectric material, which can reduce the requirement on the accuracy of the machine vision system. 3Tauroursodeoxycholic acid(TUDCA) inhibits influenza A viral infection by disrupting viral proton channel M2显示文摘Influenza is a persistent threat to human health and there is a continuing requirement for updating antiinfluenza strategies. Initiated by observations of different endoplasmic reticulum(ER) responses of host to seasonal H1N1 and highly pathogenic avian influenza(HPAI) A H5N1 infections, we identified an alternative antiviral role of tauroursodeoxycholic acid(TUDCA), a clinically available ER stress inhibitor, both in vitro and in vivo. Rather than modulating ER stress in host cells, TUDCA abolished the proton conductivity of viral M2 by disrupting its oligomeric states, which induces inefficient viral infection. We also showed that M2 penetrated cells, whose intracellular uptake depended on its proton channel activity,an effect observed in both TUDCA and M2 inhibitor amantadine. 4Chimeric Newcastle Disease Virus-like Particles Containing DC-Binding Peptide-Fused Haemagglutinin Protect Chickens from Virulent Newcastle Disease Virus and H9N2 Avian Influenza Virus Challenge显示文摘Newcastle disease virus(NDV)and H9N2 subtype Avian influenza virus(AIV)are two notorious avian respiratory pathogens that cause great losses in the poultry industry.Current inactivated commercial vaccines against NDV and AIV have the disadvantages of inadequate mucosal responses,while an attenuated live vaccine bears the risk of mutation.Dendritic cell(DC)targeting strategies are attractive for their potent mucosal and adaptive immune-stimulating ability against respiratory pathogens.In this study,DC-binding peptide(DCpep)-decorated chimeric virus-like particles(cVLPs),containing NDV haemagglutinin–neuraminidase(HN)and AIV haemagglutinin(HA),were developed as a DC-targeting mucosal vaccine candidate.DCpep-decorated cVLPs activated DCs in vitro,and induced potent immune stimulation in chickens,with enhanced secretory immunoglobulin A(sIgA)secretion and splenic T cell differentiation.40μg cVLPs can provide full protection against the challenge with homologous,heterologous NDV strains,and AIV H9N2.In addition,DCpep-decorated cVLPs could induce a better immune response when administered intranasally than intramuscularly,as indicated by robust s IgA secretion and a reduced virus shedding period.Taken together,this chimericVLPs are a promising vaccine candidate to control NDV and AIV H9N2 and a useful platform bearing multivalent antigens.Xiaohong Xu Jing Qian Lingsong Qin Jindou Li Cong Xue Jiaxin Ding Weiqi Wang Wei Ding Renfu Yin Ningyi Jin Zhuang Ding 2020Virologica Sinica2020,35,4:4
5A newly defined dioxygenase system from Mycobacterium vanbaalenii PYR-1 endowed with an enhanced activity of dihydroxylation of high-molecular-weight polyaromatic hydrocarbons显示文摘NidA3B3 is a terminal dioxygenase whose favorable substrates are high-molecular-weight polyaromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)from Mycobacterium vanbaalenii PYR-1,a powerftil PAHs degradation strain.NidA3B3 was reported to incorporate a dioxygen into the benzene ring of PAHs when equipped with an exogenous electron transport chain components PhdCD from Nocarciioides sp.strain KP7 by biotransformation,but this enzyme system was not particularly efficient.In this study,strain PYR-1 was confirmed to utilize four different PAHs at different growth rates.When PhtAcAd,an endogenous electron transport chain of a phthalate dioxygenase system,was substituted for PhdCD to couple with NidA3B3,the specific activity to convert phenanthrene by strain BL21(DE3)[pNidA3B3-PhAcAd]was 0.15±0.03 U/mg,but the specific activity of strain BL21(DE3)[pNidA3B3-PhdCD]was only 0.025±0.006U/mg.In addition,FNidA3,encoded by a newly defined ORF,has a prolonged 19-amino acid sequence at the N-terminus compared with NidA3.FNidA3B3 increased the activity by 50%approximately than NidA3B3 when using PhtAcAd.Components of the electron transport chain PhtAc and PhtAd were purified and characterized.The Km,kcal,kcat/Km values of the PhtAd were 123±26.9 pM,503±49.9 min^-1,4.1μM^-1·min^-1,respectively.And the,Km,Kcat,Kcat/Km values of the ferredoxin PhtAc were (52.5±9.7)μM,3.8±0.19min^-1 and 0.07μM^-1 min1,respectively.Basing on the phylogenetic analysis,NidA3/FNidA3 were far from its isoenzyme NidA from the same strain.Combining their primary differences of transcriptional pattern in vivo,it indicated that the functionally similar Rieske dioxygenases NidA3B3/FNidA3B3 and NidAB might originate from different ancestors.Yiquan Wu Ying Xu Ningyi Zhou 2020Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020,14,1:2

7Structural phase transition, optical and pyroelectric properties of lead-free single crystals显示文摘0.14 at%Mn-doped 0.95(Na1/2Bi1/2)TiO3-0.05BaTiO3(0.95NBT-0.05BT)lead-free single crystals were grown by a top-seeded solution growth method(TSSG).X-ray powder diffraction measurement showed that the as-grown single crystals exhibit rhombohedral perovskite structure with apparent distortion.With the increase of temperature,successive structural phase transitions occur in the Mn-doped 0.95NBT-0.05BT single crystals.After poling,apparent dielectric anomaly is induced accompanied by the increase of the character of diffuse phase transition and the decrease of the value of dielectric constant.The Mn-doped0.95NBT-0.05BT single crystals exhibit complex domain structure,in which micro and macro domains coexist with statistically 4mm symmetry.The Mn-doped 0.95NBT-0.05BT lead-free single crystals exhibit excellent piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties,which will lead to promising advance in piezoelectric and pyroelectric applications.The infrared-absorption band occurred around 630.6 cm 1can be assigned to the'stretching'normal vibration of[Na1/2Bi1/2]/Ti-O group.The three diffused Raman bands centered around 300,560 and 800 cm 1can be attributed to F2g[TiO6]bending vibration,A1g[TiO6]stretching vibration and'soft mode'mixed by bending and stretching vibrations.FANG BiJun WANG Meng YUAN NingYi DING JianNing ZHAO XiangYong XU HaiQing LUO HaoSu 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,33:1

10Transmembrane domain of IFITM3 is responsible for its interaction with influenza virus HA_(2) subunit显示文摘Interferon-inducible transmembrane protein 3(IFITM3)inhibits influenza virus infection by blocking viral membrane fusion,but the exact mechanism remains elusive.Here,we investigated the function and key region of IFITM3 in blocking influenza virus entry mediated by hemagglutinin(HA).The restriction of IFITM3 on HAmediated viral entry was confirmed by pseudovirus harboring HA protein from H5 and H7 influenza viruses.Subcellular co-localization and immunocoprecipitation analyses revealed that IFITM3 partially co-located with the full-length HA protein and could directly interact with HA_(2) subunit but not HA_(1) subunit of H5 and H7 virus.Truncated analyses showed that the transmembrane domain of the IFITM3 and HA_(2) subunit might play an important role in their interaction.Finally,this interaction of IFITM3 was also verified with HA_(2) subunits from other subtypes of influenza A virus and influenza B virus.Overall,our data demonstrate for the first time a direct interaction between IFITM3 and influenza HA protein via the transmembrane domain,providing a new perspective for further exploring the biological significance of IFITM3 restriction on influenza virus infection or HA-mediated antagonism or escape.Wang Xu Yuhang Wang Letian Li Xiaoyun Qu Quan Liu Tiyuan Li Shipin Wu Ming Liao Ningyi Jin Shouwen Du Chang Li 2022Virologica Sinica2022,37,5:0
11Photovoltaic molecules based on vinylene-bridged oligothiophene applied for bulk-heterojunction organic solar cells显示文摘We have synthesized two photovoltaic molecules(HEX-3TVT-ID and EH-3TVT-ID) based on vinylenebridged oligothiophene applied as donor for the solution-processable bulk-heterojunction organic solar cells(OSCs). Vinylene unit was introduced as π-bridge in the oligothiophenes with 1,3-indenedione as end group and 4,4'-dihexyl-2,2':5',2'-terthiophene or 3',4'-di(octan-3-yl)-2,2':5',2'-terthiophene as core,respectively. Due to the different substituent positions of the alkyl group relative to the vinylene unit in the terthiophene, HEX-3TVT-ID and EH-3TVT-ID show different optical and electrochemical properties, corresponding to the photovoltaic performance of the OSCs devices. The power conversion efficiency(PCE) of the OSCs based on a blend of HEX-3TVT-ID and PC_(71)BM(1:0.8, weight ratio, 0.5% CN) reached 2.3%.
