| 1 | Brazing of WC–8Co cemented carbide to steel using Cu–Ni–Al alloys as filler metal: Microstructures and joint mechanical behavior显示文摘Three novel Cu–Ni–Al brazing filler alloys with Cu/Ni weight ratio of 4:1 and 2.5–10 wt% Al were developed and characterized, and the wetting of three Cu–Ni–Al alloys on WC–8 Co cemented carbide were investigated at 1190–1210?C by the sessile drop technique. Vacuum brazing of the WC–8 Co cemented carbide to SAE1045 steel using the three Cu–Ni–Al alloys as filler metal was further carried out based on the wetting test results. The interfacial interactions and joint mechanical behaviors involving microhardness, shear strength and fracture were analyzed and discussed. The experimental results show that all the three wetting systems present excellent wettability with final contact angles of less than 5?and fast spreading. An obvious degeneration layer with continuous thin strip forms in the cemented carbide adjacent to the Cu–Ni–Al/WC–8 Co interface. The variation of microhardness in the joint cross-section is closely related to the interactions(such as diffusion and solid solution) of WC–8 Co/Cu–Ni–Al/steel system. Compared with the other two brazed joints, the WC–8 Co/Cu–19 Ni–5 Al/steel brazed joint presents more reliable interlayer microstructure and mechanical property while brazing at the corresponding wetting temperatures for 5 min, and its average shear strength is over 200 MPa after further optimizing the brazing temperature and holding time. | 2 | Thermal deformation behavior and microstructure of nuclear austenitic stainless steel显示文摘Gleeble-1500D thermal simulation tester was employed in the hot-compression investigation of as-cast nuclear 304 austenitic stainless steel under conditions: deformation temperature 950―1200℃; deformations 30% and 50%; deformation rates 0.01 and 0.1 s?1. The results show that the flow stress decreases with temperature rise under the same strain rate and deformation, that the flow stress increases with deformation under the same temperature and strain rate, and that the flow stress increases with strain rate under the same temperature condition, i.e., work hardening becomes distinct. | 5 | Thermal Shock Resistance of Nano SiC-BN Composites显示文摘Nano SiC-BN composite powders were prepared by dissolving analytically pure H3BO3 and CO(NH2)2 with the mole ratio of 1:2.5 in the absolute alcohol, adding 80% β-SiC with 0.2 μm average grain size while stirring, firing at 850 ℃ in nitrogen (purity: 99.99%, pressure: 0.92-0.93 MPa) for 15 h. Nano SiC-BN composite specimens were prepared by hot-pressed sintering the nano SiC-BN composite powder in N2 atmosphere with 0.92-0.93 MPa and at 30 MPa axial pressure for 0.5-1 h at 1 750-1 800 ℃. The thermal shock resistance of nano SiC-BN composites was studied by three-point bending, TEM and SEM. | 11 | Fabrication of silicon nitride/ boron nitride nanocomposite powder显示文摘Si3N4/BN nanocomposite powders with the mi-crostructure of the micro-sized a-Si3N4 particles coated with nano-sized BN particles were synthesized via the chemical reaction of boric acid, urea, and a-Si3N4 powder in a hydro-gen gas. The results of XRD, TEM, and selected area elec-tron diffraction showed that amorphous BN and a little amount of turbostratic BN(t-BN) were coated on Si3N4 parti-cles as the second phase after reaction at 1100℃. After re-heating the composite powders at 1450℃ in a nitrogen gas, the amorphous and turbostratic BN is transformed into h-BN.
