| 1 | Efficient production of ethyl levulinate from cassava over Al2(SO4)3 catalyst in ethanol–water system显示文摘One-pot achievement of ethyl levulinate from cassava was conducted in ethanol-water system over several simple sulfate salt catalysts.Al_2(SO_4)_3 catalyst had the best performance in synthesizing ethyl levulinate comparing with those of a series of sulfate salts.The highest yields of ethyl levulinate was up to39.27%as well as 7.78%levulinate acid when cassava was catalyzed in ethanol medium by adding 10 wt%water.^(13)C and ~1H NMR spectroscopic investigations confirmed that isomerization of glucose to fructose over Al_2(SO_4)_3 catalyst is an important step in producing ethyl levulinate and levulinate acid.Due to aggregations of Al^(3+) under hydrothermal conditions,tiny amount of Al^(3+) were detected in filtrate at the percentage of 0.32%even if in absolute water.Bronsted and Lewis acids could improve the yield of ethyl levulinate and levulinate acid by synergistic effect.All results suggested that A1_2(SO_4)_3 was a simple and efficient catalyst for ethyl levulinate and levulinate acid production. | Jin Tan Qiying Liu Lungang Chen Tiejun Wang Longlong Ma Guanyi Chen | 2017 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2017,26,1: | 11 |

| 3 | A Method for Detection of Main Metabolites in Aromatic Rice Seeds显示文摘[Objective] A method was developed for the analysis of main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry( GC-MS).[Method]The main metabolites in seeds of 9 different aromatic rice varieties were compared and analyzed with two methods. Method 1: the compound was extracted by the mixture of anhydrous ethanol and methylene chloride( V/V = 1∶ 1) at 60 ℃ for 3 h in water bath; the extract was isolated and detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry using HP-5 capillary column with scan monitoring mode. Method 2: the main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds were detected using headspace solid phase micro-extraction and gas chromatography mass spectrometry( GC-MS). [Result]Fifteen types of common metabolites were found in 9 different aromatic rice varieties. Method 1 was more effective than method 2 in detecting the main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds. | 5 | Chalkiness Characters and Scanning Electron Microscope Observation of Rice Grain Endosperm of Japonica Varieties in Southern Henan显示文摘Chalkiness characters affect not only the grain appearance,milling,eating and cooking qualities but also the grain nutritional quality in rice,thus it is one of the most important traits in rice. It is very important for us to investigate the relation of the chalkiness formation and the development of endosperm structure and starch granule of different rice varieties. Here,we have investigated the chalkiness characters such as chalkiness rate,chalkiness degree and chalkiness area in 15 japonica rice varieties from southern Henan. Furthermore,the endosperm structure and starch granules of rice grain were also observed with scanning electron microscope. The results showed that the 15 japonica varieties have a significantly linear relationship between the chalkiness rate and chalkiness degree. Among the varieties,the biggest difference is the chalkiness rate,the second is the chalkiness area,and the last is the chalkiness degree. Moreover,there is a certain correlation between the distribution of starch granules,the arrangement of endosperm cells and the occurrence of grain chalkiness in the different rice varieties. For the same variety,the starch granules of chalky and non-chalky grains have obvious difference,while the starch granules from the transparent part of chalky rice and non-chalky rice do not have significant difference. | 6 | Selective hydrogenolysis of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2,5-dimethylfuran over Co_3O_4 catalyst by controlled reduction显示文摘2,5-dimethyfuran(DMF), which is produced from 5-hydroxymethyfurfural(HMF) by hydrodeoxygenation(HDO), is a high quality fuel due to the high heating value, the high octane number and the suitable boiling point. Selective hydrogenation of HMF into liquid fuel DMF has been widely researched. In this paper, Co_3O_4 catalyst was prepared by co-precipitation and was reduced at different temperatures to form Co–CoO_x catalysts. The characterization of catalysts was tested by XRD, TEM, XPS, TPR, BET and NH3-TPD.Co–CoO_x possessed a high amount of Co metal and CoO_x acidic sites, wherein Co worked as the active hydrogenation sites and CoO_x acted as the acid promoter to facilitate the selective HDO of HMF to DMF.The synergistic effect of Co–CoO_x is the key for HDO of HMF, obtaining 83.3% of DMF yield at 170 °C, 12 h and the reduction temperature of 400 °C. | 7 | 树突状细胞联合CIK细胞应用于晚期恶性实体瘤治疗的临床疗效观察(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of this study was to observe the therapeutic effect of cytokine induced killer (CIK) cells in combination with dendritic cells (DCs) on advanced solid carcinoma patients. Methods: Isolated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from 110 advanced solid tumor patients. Added granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-4 (IL-4) to adherent cells to induce DCs, and sensitized DCs with antigens of autologous tumor cells or extrinsic tumor cell lines. Cultured suspending cells with interferon-γ (IFN-γ), interleukin-2 (IL-2) and CD3 monoclonal antibody (CD3 McAb) to prepare CIK cells, then co-cultured with DCs. After analyzing the phenotype and checking tumor markers and immune function, the autologous CIK cells and DCs were transfused into the cancer patients. Results: Forty-two patients with measurable nidus, 2 achieved complete remission (CR), 9 partial remission (PR) and 15 stable disease (SD), while 37 patients with immeasurable nidus, 25 had efficient response. The tumor markers and immune function both improved significantly compared with those before treatment. | 9 | How to Promote Sales: Discount Promotion or Coupon Promotion?显示文摘In this paper,we examine how a merchant should choose between discount promotion(offering a discount through an online third-party promotion platform)and coupon promotion(ssuing on-package coupons directly to consumers).We develop a two-period model in which the merchant optimizes the promotion decision in the first period and does not promote in the second period.We identify two consumer segments:informed consumers who are aware of the merchant's offering at the beginning of the first period and know the true quality of the product,and uninformed consumers who are not aware of the merchant's offering at the beginning of the first period and underestimate the product quality.Moreover,the merchant has access only to informed consumers when adopting coupon promotion or when choosing not to promote,while the merchant can access both informed consumers and uninformed consumers when offering discount promotion.In this setting,we find that the merchant should offer discount promotion when the quality estimation of uninformed consumers is large and/or when the proportion of informed consumers is small;otherwise,the merchant should adopt coupon promotion when the effect of coupons in the first period is large and choose not to promote when the effect of coupons in the first period is small. | Peng Wiang Rong Du Qiying Hu | 2020 | Journal of Systems Science and Systems Engineering2020,29,4: | 3 |

| 11 | Serotonin in human skin显示文摘In this review the authors summarize data of a potential role for serotonin in human skin physiology and pathology. The uncovering of endogenous serotonin synthesis and its transformation to melatonin underlines a putative important role of this pathway in melanocyte physiology and pathology. Pathways of the biosynthesis and biodegradation of serotonin have been characterized in human beings and its major cellular populations. Moreover, receptors of serotonin are expressed on keratinocytes, melanocytes, and fibroblasts and these mediate phenotypic actions on cellular proliferation and differentiation. And the widespread expression of a cutaneous seorotoninergic system indicates considerable selectivity of action to facilitate intra-, auto-, or paracrine mechanisms that define and influence skin function in a highly compartmentalized manner. Melatonin, in turn, can also act as a hormone, neurotransmitter, cytokine, biological modifier and immunomodulator. | 12 | Hierarchical porous carbon heterojunction flake arrays derived from metal organic frameworks and ionic liquid for H2O2 electrochemical detection in cancer tissue显示文摘The development of hierarchical nanostructure is demonstrated as an effective strategy to improve catalytic activity and stability of electrocatalysts.Herein,a novel leaf-like hierarchically porous heterojunction flake arrays(FAs),integrated graphitic N-doped carbon(NC)with amorphous B,N-doped carbon(BNC),has been designed and grown on flexible carbon fiber(CF)using metal-organic framework(MOF)FAs and green ionic liquids as precursors.The hierarchical heterojunction structure possesses micro-and nano-scaled pores,large surface areas,and exposed high-density catalytic active sites,which enhances electronic conductivity and offers accessible transport channels for effectively decreasing mass transport resistance.The results of discrete Fourier transform(DFT)calculations and experiments also suggest that the catalytic activity has been promoted by the heterojunction structure through narrowing the banding gap.Consequently,the resultant nanohybrid microelectrode exhibits remarkable electrochemical sensing performance towards H2O2 with a low detection limit of 50 nM,and a high sensitivity of 213μA×mM-1×cm-2,as well as good anti-interference capability.The practical application of nanohybrid fiber microelectrode has been explored by real-time monitoring H2O2 released from live colon cells and surgically-resected fresh colon cancer tissue,which can provide important information for the identification of different types of cells as well as distinguish cancer cells from normal ones.We believe this research will pave the way towards the development of advanced carbon nanomaterials for application in the fields of electrochemistry,biosensing,and cancer diagnosis. | Yan Zhang Qiying Lv Kai Chi Qilin Li Huiling Fan Bo Cai Fei Xiao Shuai Wang Zheng Wang Lin Wang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,5: | 2 |
