Annual cost of illness of stomach and esophageal cancer patientsin urban and rural areas in China: A multi-center study显示文摘Objective: Stomach and esophageal cancer are imposing huge threats to the health of Chinese people whereas there were few studies on the financial burden of the two cancers. Methods: Costs per hospitalization of all patients with stomach or esophageal cancer discharged between September 2015 and August 2016 in seven cities/counties in China were collected, together with their demographic information and clinical details. Former patients in the same hospitals were sampled to collect information on annual direct non-medical cost, indirect costs and annual number of hospitalization. Annual direct medical cost was obtained by multiplying cost per hospitalization by annual number of hospitalization. Annual cost of illness(ACI)was obtained by adding the average value of annual direct medical cost, direct non-medical cost and indirect cost, stratified by sex, age, clinical stage, therapy and pathologic type in urban and rural areas. Costs per hospitalization were itemized into eight parts to calculate the proportion of each part. All costs were converted to 2016 US dollars(1 USD=6.6423 RMB).Results: Totally 19,986 cases were included, predominately male. Mean ages of stomach cancer and urban patients were lower than that of esophageal cancer and rural patients. ACI of stomach and esophageal cancer patients were $10,449 and $13,029 in urban areas, and $2,927 and $3,504 in rural areas, respectively. Greater ACI was associated with male, non-elderly patients as well as those who were in stage I and underwent surgeries.Western medicine fee took the largest proportion of cost per hospitalization. Conclusions: The ACI of stomach and esophageal cancer was tremendous and varied substantially among the population in China. Preferential policies of medical insurance should be designed to tackle with this burden and further reduce the health care inequalities. | Zhixun Yang Hongmei Zeng Ruyi Xia Qian Liu Kexin Sun Rongshou Zheng Siwei Zhang Changfa Xia He Li Shuzheng Liu Zhiyi Zhang Yuqin Liu Guizhou Guo Guohui Song Yigong Zhu Xianghong Wu Bingbing Song Xianzhen Liao Yanfang Chen Wenqiang Wei Guihua Zhuang Wanqing Chen | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,4: | 22
Enhancing the antihepatitis B virus immune response by adefovir dipivoxil and entecavir therapies显示文摘Chronicity of hepatitis B(CHB)infection is characterized by a weak immune response to the virus.Entecavir(ETV)and adefovir dipivoxil(ADV)are effective in suppressing hepatitis B virus(HBV)replication. However, the underlying immune mechanism in the antiviral response of patients treated with nucleoside or nucleotide analogs is not clearly understood. In this study, regulatory T cells(Tregs)and intracellular cytokines, including IL-2,interferon(IFN)-γ,tumor-necrosis factor(TNF)-α and IL-4,were measured prior to and at 12,24,36 and 48 weeks after treatment with ETV or ADV.The cytokines were increased from 24 to 48 weeks after treatment.Higher levels of Th1 cytokines were observed with ETV(n=29)versus ADV(n=28)treatment.By contrast, the numbers of Tregs in both groups were decreased. The altered cytokine profile and cellular component was accompanied by a decrease in HBV DNA levels in both groups, which may contribute to their therapeutic effect in CHB infection. Our findings suggest that the antiviral effect of the drugs may be attributed not only to their direct effect on virus suppression but also to their immunoregulatory capabilities. | Yanfang Jiang Wanyu Li Lei Yu Jingjing Liu Guijie Xin Hongqing Yan Pinghui Sun Hong Zhang Damo Xu Junqi Niu | 2011 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2011,8,1: | 16

Maize grain concentrations and above-ground shoot acquisition of micronutrients as affected by intercropping with turnip, faba bean, chickpea, and soybean显示文摘Most research on micronutrients in maize has focused on maize grown as a monocrop. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of intercropping on the concentrations of micronutrients in maize grain and their acquisition via the shoot. We conducted field experiments to investigate the effects of intercropping with turnip (Brassica campestris L.), faba bean (Vicia faba L.), chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.), and soybean (Glycine max L.) on the iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) concentrations in the grain and their acquisition via the above-ground shoots of maize (Zea mays L.). Compared with monocropped maize grain, the grain of maize intercropped with legumes showed lower concentrations of Fe, Mn, Cu, and Zn and lower values of their corresponding harvest indexes. The micronutrient concentrations and harvest indexes in grain of maize intercropped with turnip were the same as those in monocropped maize grain. Intercropping stimulated the above-ground maize shoot acquisition of Fe, Mn, Cu and Zn, when averaged over different phosphorus (P) application rates. To our knowledge, this is the first report on the effects of intercropping on micronutrient concentrations in maize grain and on micronutrients acquisition via maize shoots (straw+grain). The maize grain Fe and Cu concentrations, but not Mn and Zn concentrations, were negatively correlated with maize grain yields. The concentrations of Fe, Mn, Cu, and Zn in maize grain were positively correlated with their corresponding harvest indexes. The decreased Fe, Mn, Cu, and Zn concentrations in grain of maize intercropped with legumes were attributed to reduced translocation of Fe, Mn, Cu, and Zn from vegetative tissues to grains. This may also be related to the delayed senescence of maize plants intercropped with legumes. We conclude that turnip/maize intercropping is beneficial to obtain high maize grain yield without decreased concentrations of Fe, Mn, Cu, and Zn in the grain. Further research is required to clarify the mechanisms underlying the changes in micronutrient concentrations in grain of intercropped maize. | XIA HaiYong ZHAO JianHua SUN JianHao XUE YanFang EAGLING Tristan BAO XingGuo ZHANG FuSuo LI Long | 2013 | Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,9: | 8
Famitinib in combination with concurrent chemoradiotherapy in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma: a phase 1, open-label, dose-escalation Study显示文摘Background:Famitinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor against multiple targets, including vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2/3,platelet-derived growth factor receptor, and stem cell factor receptor(c-kit).Previous studies have demonstrated anti-tumour activities of famitinib against a wide variety of advanced-stage solid cancers. We aimed to determine the safety and efficacy of famitinib with concurrent chemoradiotherapy(CCRT)in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).We also evaluated the feasibility of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(D-CEUS)as a predictor of early tumour response to famitinib and to correlate functional parameters with clinical efficacy. Methods:The trial was conducted in subjects with stage III or IVa-b NPC using a 3+3 design of escalating fami-tinib doses.Briefly, subjects received 2 weeks of famitinib monotherapy followed by 7 weeks of famitinib plus CCRT.D-CEUS of the neck lymph nodes was performed at day 0,8 and 15 after famitinib was administered before starting concurrent chemoradiotherapy.End points included safety, tolerability and anti-tumour activity. Results:Twenty patients were enrolled(six each for 12.5,16.5 and 20 mg and two for 25 mg).Two patients in the 25 mg cohort developed dose-limiting toxicities, including grade 4 thrombocytopenia and grade 3 hypertension. The most common grade 3/4 adverse events were leukopenia, neutropenia and radiation mucositis.D-CEUS tests showed that more than 60%of patients achieved a perfusion parameter response after 2 weeks taking famitinib alone, and the parameter response was associated with disease improvement. In the famitinib monotherapy stage, three patients(15%)showed partial responses. The complete response rate was 65%at the completion of treatment and 95%3 months after the treatment ended. After a median follow-up of 44 months, the 3-year progression-free survival(PFS)and distant metastasis-free survival were 70%and 75%,respectively.Subjects with a decrease of perfusion parameter response, such as peak intensity decreased at least 30%after 1 week of famitinib treatment, had higher 3-year PFS(90.9%vs.44.4%,95%CI 73.7%-100%vs.11.9%-76.9%,P<0.001)than those with an increase or a reduction of less than 30%.Conclusions:The recommended famitinib dose for phase II trial is 20 mg with CCRT for patients with local advanced NPC.D-CEUS is a reliable and early measure of efficacy for famitinib therapies.Further investigation is required to confirm the effects of famitinib plus chemoradiotherapy. | Qiuyan Chen Linquan Tang Na Liu Feng Han Ling Guo Shanshan Guo Jianwei Wang Huai Liu Yanfang Ye Lu Zhang Liting Liu Pan Wang Yingqin Li Qingmei He Xiaoqun Yang Qingnan Tang Yang Li YuJing Liang XueSong Sun Chuanmiao Xie Yunxian Mo Ying Guo Rui Sun Haoyuan Mo Kajia Cao Xiang Guo Musheng Zeng Haiqiang Mai Jun Ma | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 6
Antigenically dominant proteins within the human liver mitochondrial proteome identified by monoclonal antibodies显示文摘Analysis of the mitochondrial proteome would provide valuable insight into the function of this important organelle, which plays key roles in energy metabolism, apoptosis, free radical production, thermogenesis, and calcium signaling. It could also increase our understanding about the mechanisms that promote mitochondrial disease. To identify proteins that are antigenically dominant in human liver mitochondria, we generated >240 hybridoma cell lines from native mitochondrial proteins after cell fusion, screening, and cloning. Antibodies that recognized mitochondrial proteins were identified by screening human liver cDNA expression libraries. In this study, we identified 6 major antigens that were recognized by at least 2 different monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). The proteins that were antigenically dominant were: acetyl-Coenzyme A acyltransferase 2 (mitochondrial 3-oxoacyl-Coenzyme A thiolase), aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member A1, carbamoyl phosphate synthetase 1, dihydrolipoamide S-acetyltransferase (E2 component of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex), enoyl coenzyme A hydratase 1, and hydroxysteroid (11-beta) dehydrogenase 1. We also determined the subcellular localizations of these enzymes within the mitochondria using immunohistocytochemistry. We believe that these well-characterized antibodies will provide a valuable resource for the Human Liver Proteome Project (HLPP), and will make studies aimed at investigating liver mitochondrial function far easier to perform in future. Our results provide strong evidence that, (i) depletion of dominant proteins from liver mitochondrial samples is possible and, (ii) the approaches adopted in this study can be used to explore or validate protein-protein interactions in this important organelle. | JU YanFang YANG JinJu LIU Rong LIU XiaoLan DU XueMei LIU Li CHEN ZhiCheng CHI Jun LIU ShuEr GAO Yuan GAO JianEn JIAO ShunChang HE FuChu SUN QiHong | 2011 | Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,1: | 6
An optimal one-way cooperative strategy for two defenders against an attacking missile显示文摘This paper investigates a cooperative strategy for protecting an aerial target. The problem is solved as a game among four players(a target, two defenders, and a missile). In this scenario, the target launches two defenders(defender-1 and defender-2)simultaneously,to establish a oneway cooperation system(OCS)against an attacking missile.A new optimal evasion strategy for the target is also derived.During the engagement, the target takes into account the reaction of the attacking missile, and guides defender-1 to the interception point by receiving information from defender-1.Depending on the control effort of the target,defender-2 can choose appropriate launch conditions and use very limited maneuvering capability to intercept the missile. For adversaries with first-order dynamics, simulation results show that the OCS allows two defenders to intercept the missile.During the engagement, even if one defender or communication channel is broken, the OCS still allows an interception to be made, thus increasing the target’s survivability. | Qilong SUN Naiming QI Zheyao XU Yanfang LIU Yong ZHANG | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,4: | 6
A Method for Detection of Main Metabolites in Aromatic Rice Seeds显示文摘[Objective] A method was developed for the analysis of main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry( GC-MS).[Method]The main metabolites in seeds of 9 different aromatic rice varieties were compared and analyzed with two methods. Method 1: the compound was extracted by the mixture of anhydrous ethanol and methylene chloride( V/V = 1∶ 1) at 60 ℃ for 3 h in water bath; the extract was isolated and detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry using HP-5 capillary column with scan monitoring mode. Method 2: the main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds were detected using headspace solid phase micro-extraction and gas chromatography mass spectrometry( GC-MS). [Result]Fifteen types of common metabolites were found in 9 different aromatic rice varieties. Method 1 was more effective than method 2 in detecting the main metabolites in aromatic rice seeds. [Conclusion]This study provides an important reference for clarifying the metabolic pathway of main metabolites in aromatic rice and lays the foundation for further rice breeding. | Bo PENG Dongyan KONG Xiaohua SONG Huilong LI Lulu HE Andong GONG Yanfang SUN Ruihua PANG Lin LIU Jintao LI Qiying ZHOU Yaqin HUANG Bin DUAN Shizhi SONG Hongyu YUAN | 2018 | Agricultural Biotechnology2018,7,1: | 6
Feasibility of Tea Saponin-Enhanced Soil Washing in a Soybean Oil-Water Solvent System to Extract PAHs/Cd/Ni Efficiently from a Coking Plant Site显示文摘Mixed contaminated brownfield sites have brought serious risks to human health and environmental safety. With the purpose of removing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) and heavy metals from a coking plant site, an innovative technology for ex-situ washing was developed in the present work. The combination of 15.0 mL L^(-1) soybean oil and 7.5 g L^(-1) tea saponin proved an effective method to extract co-pollutants from soil. After two consecutive washing cycles, the efficiency rates of removal for 3-, 4-,5(+6)-ring, and total PAHs, Cd, and Ni were approximately 98.2%, 96.4%, 92.3%, 96.3%, 94.1%, and 89.4%, respectively. Meanwhile,as evaluated by Tenax extraction method and metal stability indices, the residual PAHs and heavy metals after consecutive washing mainly existed in the form with extremely low bioaccessibility in the soil. Thus, in the soil after two washing cycles, there appeared limited environmental transfer risk of co-pollutants. Moreover, a subsequent precipitation method with alkaline solution and PAHdegrading strain Sphingobium sp. PHE9 inoculation effectively removed 84.6%–100% of Cd, 82.5%–91.7% of Ni, and 92.6%–98.4% of PAHs from the first and second washing solvents. The recovered solvents also exhibited a high recycling effectiveness. Therefore, the combined cleanup strategy proposed in this study proved environmentally friendly, which also played a major role in risk assessment and management in mixed polluted sites. | YE Mao SUN Mingming XIE Shanni LIU Kuan FENG Yanfang ZHAO Yu WAN Jinzhong HU Feng LI Huixin ZONG Lianggang JIANG Xin | 2017 | Pedosphere2017,27,3: | 5
Prevalence and Phylogenetic Analysis of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus in Ticks from Different Ecosystems in Xinjiang,China显示文摘The Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus(CCHFV),a member of the genus Orthonairovirus and family Nairoviridae,is transmitted by ticks and causes severe hemorrhagic disease in humans. To study the epidemiology of CCHFV in different ecosystems in Xinjiang,China,a total of 58,932 ticks were collected from Tarim Basin,Junggar Basin,Tianshan Mountain, and Altai Mountain from 2014 to 2017.Hyalomma asiaticum asiaticum was the dominant tick species in Tarim and Junggar basins, whereas Dermacentor nuttalli and Hyalomma detritum were found in Tianshan Mountain and Altai Mountain, respectively.Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction of the CCHFV small(S)genome segment was used for the molecular detection. The CCHFV-positive percentage was 5.26%,6.85%,1.94%,and 5.56% in Tarim Basin,Junggar Basin,Tianshan Mountain, and Altai Mountain, respectively.Sequences of the S segment were used for phylogenetic analysis and the results showed that the newly identified CCHFV strains belonged to two clades. Our study confirms that H.asiaticum asiaticum is the major vector of CCHFV in desert habitats which is consistent with previous studies, and also suggests that H.detritum and D.nuttalli are emerging vectors for CCHFV in Xinjiang. Moreover, this study reports the presence of CCHFV in the mountain habitat of Xinjiang for the first time, suggesting that future surveillance of CCHFV should also include mountainous areas. | Abulimiti Moming Xihong Yue Shu Shen Chenchen Chang Cheng Wang Tao Luo Yanfang Zhang Rong Guo Zhihong Hu Yujiang Zhang Fei Deng Surong Sun | 2018 | Virologica Sinica2018,33,1: | 5
Chalkiness Characters and Scanning Electron Microscope Observation of Rice Grain Endosperm of Japonica Varieties in Southern Henan显示文摘Chalkiness characters affect not only the grain appearance, milling, eating and cooking qualities but also the grain nutritional quality in rice, thus it is one of the most important traits in rice. It is very important for us to investigate the relation of the chalkiness formation and the development of endosperm structure and starch granule of different rice varieties. Here,we have investigated the chalkiness characters such as chalkiness rate, chalkiness degree and chalkiness area in 15 japonica rice varieties from southern Henan. Furthermore, the endosperm structure and starch granules of rice grain were also observed with scanning electron microscope. The results showed that the 15 japonica varieties have a significantly linear relationship between the chalkiness rate and chalkiness degree. Among the varieties, the biggest difference is the chalkiness rate, the second is the chalkiness area, and the last is the chalkiness degree. Moreover, there is a certain correlation between the distribution of starch granules, the arrangement of endosperm cells and the occurrence of grain chalkiness in the different rice varieties. For the same variety, the starch granules of chalky and non-chalky grains have obvious difference, while the starch granules from the transparent part of chalky rice and non-chalky rice do not have significant difference. The results would provide useful references for the improvement of grain quality in rice. | Bo PENG Yanfang SUN Dongyan KONG Ruihua PANG Xiaohua SONG Huilong LI Jintao LI Qiying ZHOU Qiu HAN Shizhi SONG Hongyu YUAN | 2017 | Asian Agricultural Research2017,9,3: | 5
Impact of biochar amendment on soil aggregation varied with incubation duration and biochar pyrolysis temperature显示文摘Soil aggregation is one of the crucial processes that facilitate carbon sequestration and maintain soil fertility. So far,the effect of biochar amendment on soil aggregation remains inconclusive. Here,we tested the hypothesis that the response of soil aggregation to biochar addition varied with incubation duration and biochar chemistry.A one year microcosm experiment of soil with biochar was conducted that included biochar produced at three different temperatures(300,450,and 600°C),and three biochar application rates,i.e.,0,1,and 3 wt%.It was observed that after one and three months, biochar mainly(>90%)distributed in the micro-aggregates,and slightly reduced aggregate stability and increased proportion of micro-aggregates,which was demonstrated to result from the mechanical mixture of amended biochar with soil.Contrastingly, when the duration was prolonged to six months and one year,a significant increase in macro-aggregates(6.6-38.5%)and aggregate stability(7.3-29.4%)was detected, with the increasing extent being apparently higher for low-temperature biochar. This was related to the comparatively strong interaction of biochar particles with soil minerals or microbes after long-time incubation. The strong interaction was directly supported by the significant increase in H/C,O/C ratios of isolated biochar from treated soils, the detection of typical soil mineral elements on the surface of isolated biochar, and the increase in microbial biomass carbon of treated soils. The findings of this study highlighted the role of biochar type and amendment duration in mediating the effect of biochar application on soil aggregation. | Lanfang Han Biao Zhang Liying Chen Yanfang Feng Yan Yang Ke Sun | 2021 | Biochar2021,3,3: | 4
Fabrication of gelatin methacryloyl hydrogel microneedles for transdermal delivery of metformin in diabetic rats显示文摘Injection therapy for diabetes has poor patient compliance, and the pain occurring at the site of subcutaneous injections causes significant inconvenience to diabetic patients. In this work,to demonstrate the benefits of an alternative drug delivery technique that overcomes these issues, methacrylated gelatin hydrogel-forming microneedles integrated with metformin were developed to adjust blood glucose levels in diabetic rats.Gelatin methacryloyl microneedles(GelMA-MNs)with different degrees of substitution were successfully prepared by a micro-molding method. The resultant GelMA-MNs exhibited excellent mechanical properties and moisture resistance.Metformin,an anti-diabetic drug, was further encapsulated into the GelMA-MNs,and its release rate could be controlled by the three-dimensional cross-linked network of microneedles, thereby exhibiting sustained drug release behaviors in vitro and implying a better therapeutic effect compared with that of subcutaneous injection in diabetic rats. The drug release period could be significantly prolonged by improving the cross-link density of GelMA-MNs.The results of hypoglycemic effect evaluation show that the application of GelMA-MNs for transdermal delivery in diabetic rats has promising benefits for diabetes treatment. | Zhiyong Zeng Guohua Jiang Tianqi Liu Gao Song Yanfang Sun Xueya Zhang Yanting Jing Mingjia Feng Yufei Shi | 2021 | Bio-Design and Manufacturing2021,4,4: | 4
Detection and extraction of heavy metal ions using paper-based analytical devices fabricated via atom stamp printing显示文摘As a promising concept, microfluidic paper-based analytical devices(μPADs)have seen rapid development in recent years. In this study,a new method of fabricatingμPADs by atom stamp printing(ASP)is proposed and studied. The advantages of this new method compared to other methods include its low cost, ease of operation, high production efficiency, and high resolution(the minimum widths of the hydrophilic channels and hydrophobic barriers are 328 and 312μm,respectively).As a proof of concept,μPADs fabricated with the ASP method were used to detect different concentrations of Cu^(2+)via a colorimetric method. Moreover, combined with a distance-based detection method, these devices achieved a Cu^(2+)detection limit of down to 1mg/L.In addition,a new paper-based solid–liquid extraction device(PSED)based on a three-dimensional(3D)μPAD with a“3+2”structure and a recyclable extraction mode was developed.Specifically, using the characteristics of paper filtration and capillary force, the device completed multiple extraction and filtration steps from traditional solid–liquid extraction processes with high efficiency. The developed PSED platform allows the detection of heavy metal ions much more cheaply and simply and with a faster response time at the point of care, and it has great promise for applications in food safety and environmental pollution in resource-limited areas. | Yanfang Guan Baichuan Sun | 2020 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1: | 3
The norepinephrine transporter gene is associated with the retardation symptoms of major depressive disorder in the Han Chinese population显示文摘The norepinephrine transporter plays an important role in the pathophysiology and pharmacological treatment of major depressive disorder.Consequently, the norepinephrine transporter gene is an attractive candidate in major depressive disorder research. In the present study,we evaluated the depression symptoms of subjects with major depressive disorder, who were all from the North of China and of Han Chinese origin, using the Hamilton Depression Scale. We examined the rela-tionship between two single nucleotide polymorphisms in the norepinephrine transporter,rs2242446 and rs5569,and the retardation symptoms of major depressive disorder using quantitative trait testing with the UNPHASED program.rs5569 was associated with depressed mood, and the GG genotype may be a risk factor for this;rs2242446 was associated with work and interest, and the TT genotype may be a risk factor for loss of interest. Our findings suggest that rs2242446 and rs5569 in the norepinephrine transporter gene are associated with the retardation symptoms of depression in the Han Chinese population. | Xinrong Li Ning Sun Yong Xu Yanfang Wang Suping Li Qiaorong Du Juyi Peng Jinxiu Luo Kerang Zhang | 2012 | Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,25: | 3
Ultradurable,freeze-resistant,and healable MXene-based ionic gels for multi-functional electronic skin显示文摘Hydrogel is a potential matrix material of electronic-skins(E-skins)because of its excellent ductility, tunability, and biocompatibility.However,hydrogel-based E-Skins will inevitably lose their sensing performance in practical applications for water loss, physical damage, and ambient interferences. It remains a challenge to manufacture highly durable gel-based E-skins.Herein,an E-Skin is fabricated by introducing ionic liquids(ILs)into MXene-composited binary polymer network. The obtained ionic gel shows excellent mechanical properties, strong adhesion, and superior tolerance to harsh environments. The E-skin exhibits high sensitivity to both strain and pressure in a wide range of deformations, which enables a monitoring function for various human motions and physiological activities.Importantly, the E-skin shows consistent electrical response after being stored in the open air for 30 days and can be quickly healed by irradiation with 808 nm near-infrared light, originating from the photo-thermal effect induced self-healing acceleration. It is noteworthy that the E-skin also reveals a highly sensitive perception of temperature and near-infrared light, displaying the promising potential applications in the multifunctional flexible sensor. | Yao Lu Xinyu Qu Siying Wang Ye Zhao Yanfang Ren Wenli Zhao Qian Wang Chencheng Sun Wenjun Wang Xiaochen Dong | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,5: | 2
A new merged dataset of global ocean chlorophyll a concentration with higher spatial and temporal coverage显示文摘Understanding the ocean's role in the global carbon cycle and its response to environmental change requires a high spatio-temporal resolution of observation.Merging ocean color data from multiple sources is an effective way to alleviate the limitation of individual ocean color sensors(e.g.,swath width and gaps, cloudy or rainy weather, and sun glint) and to improve the temporal and spatial coverage.Since the missions of Sea-Viewing Wide Field-of-View Sensor(Sea Wi FS) and Medium-spectral Resolution Imaging Spectrometer(MERIS) ended on December 11,2010 and May 9,2012,respectively,the number of available ocean color sensors has declined, reducing the benefits of the merged ocean color data with respect to the spatial and temporal coverage. In present work,Medium Resolution Spectral Imager(MERSI)/FY-3 of China is added in merged processing and a new dataset of global ocean chlorophyll a(Chl a) concentration(2000–2015) is generated from the remote sensing reflectance(Rrs(λ)) observations of MERIS,Moderate-resolution imaging spectra-radiometer(MODIS)-AQUA,Visible infrared Imaging Radiometer(VIIRS) and MERSI.These data resources are first merged into unified remote sensing reflectance data, and then Chl a concentration data are inversed using the combined Chl a algorithm of color index-based algorithm(CIA) and OC3.The merged data products show major improvements in spatial and temporal coverage from the addition of MERSI.The average daily coverage of merged products is approximately 24% of the global ocean and increases by approximately 9% when MERSI data are added in the merging process.Sampling frequency(temporal coverage) is greatly improved by combining MERSI data, with the median sampling frequency increasing from 15.6%(57 d/a) to 29.9%(109 d/a).The merged Chl a products herein were validated by in situ measurements and comparing them with the merged products using the same approach except for omitting MERSI and Glob Colour and MEa SUREs merged data.Correlation and relative error between the new merged Chl a products and in situ observation are stable relative to the results of the merged products without the addition of MERSI.Time series of the Chl a concentration anomalies are similar to the merged products without adding MERSI and single sensors. The new merged products agree within approximately 10% of the merged Chl a product from Glob Colour and MEa SUREs. | XIAO Yanfang ZHANG Jie CUI Tingwei SUN Ling | 2018 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,7: | 2
Compound Danshen Dripping Pill inhibits hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis-induced heart failure in ApoE and LDLR dual deficient mice via multiple mechanisms显示文摘Heart failure is the leading cause of death worldwide.Compound Danshen Dripping Pill(CDDP)or CDDP combined with simvastatin has been widely used to treat patients with myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular diseases in China. However, the effect of CDDP on hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis-induced heart failure is unknown. We constructed a new model of heart failure induced by hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis in apolipoprotein E(ApoE)and LDL receptor(LDLR)dual deficient(ApoE^(–/–)LDLR^(–/–))mice and investigated the effect of CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin on the heart failure.CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin inhibited heart injury by multiple actions including anti-myocardial dysfunction and anti-fibrosis.Mechanistically,both Wnt and lysine-specific demethylase 4A(KDM4A)pathways were significantly activated in mice with heart injury.Conversely,CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin inhibited Wnt pathway by markedly up-regulating expression of Wnt inhibitors. While the anti-inflammation and anti-oxidative stress by CDDP were achieved by inhibiting KDM4A expression and activity. In addition,CDDP attenuated simvastatin-induced myolysis in skeletal muscle.Taken together, our study suggests that CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin can be an effective therapy to reduce hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis-induced heart failure. | Yanfang Yang Ke Feng Liying Yuan Yuxin Liu Mengying Zhang Kaimin Guo Zequn Yin Wenjia Wang Shuiping Zhou He Sun Kaijing Yan Xijun Yan Xuerui Wang Yajun Duan Yunhui Hu Jihong Han | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,3: | 2
