1A FVCOM-Based Unstructured Grid Wave, Current,Sediment Transport Model,I.Model Description and Validation显示文摘An effort was made to couple FVCOM (a three-dimensional (3D),unstructured grid,Finite Volume Coastal Ocean Model) and FVCOM-SWAVE (an unstructured grid,finite-volume surface wave model) for the study of nearshore ocean processes such as tides,circulation,storm surge,waves,sediment transport,and morphological evolution.The coupling between FVCOM and FVCOM-SWAVE was achieved through incorporating 3D radiation stress,wave-current-sediment-related bottom boundary layer,sea surface stress parameterizations,and morphology process.FVCOM also includes a 3D sediment transport module.With accurate fitting of irregular coastlines,the model provides a unique tool to study sediment dynamics in coastal ocean,estuaries,and wetlands where local geometries are characterized by inlets,islands,and intertidal marsh zones.The model was validated by two standard benchmark tests: 1) spectral waves approaching a mild sloping beach and 2) morphological changes of seabed in an idealized tidal inlet.In Test 1,model results were compared with both analytical solutions and laboratory experiments.A further comparison was also made with the structured grid Regional Ocean Model System (ROMS),which provides an insight into the performance of the two models with the same open boundary forcing.WU Lunyu CHEN Changsheng GUO Peifang SHI Maochong QI Jianhua GE Jianzhong 2011Journal of Ocean University of China2011,10,1:15
2Methods for assessing the grooving corrosion of high-frequency electric resistance welded pipes显示文摘Grooving corrosion is a major form of corrosion and is prone to occur when high-frequency electric resistance welded (HFW) pipes are being used.Therefore,grooving corrosion is one of the performance indexes of HFW products.Grooving corrosion usually occurs along the welding fusion line,resulting in one or more corrosion grooves.The main factors affecting grooving corrosion include the contents of alloying elements and impurities (especially sulphur) in the steel,the microstructure of the welds and the steel substrate,welding parameters and the service environment as well.In this study,the existing methods for assessing grooving corrosion were systematically reviewed,improvements and new methods were proposed and developed to overcome the shortcomings of the existing methods,such as inaccuracy and excessive research time.By comparison with the existing methods,the operational procedures and the characteristics of the new methods are introduced,and issues regarding the behavior of grooving corrosion and their assessment methods,which both need further research,are discussed in this study.WANG Wei QI Huibin LIU Changsheng ZHOU Qingjun QIAN Yuhai SHEN Jianlan 2010Baosteel Technical Research2010,4,3:5
3Scalable and ultrafast epitaxial growth of single-crystal graphene wafers for electrically tunable liquid-crystal microlens arrays显示文摘The scalable growth of wafer-sized single-crystal graphene in an energy-efficient manner and compatible with wafer process is critical for the killer applications of graphene in high-performance electronics and optoelectronics. Here, ultrafast epitaxial growth of single-crystal graphene wafers is realized on singlecrystal Cu90Ni10(1 1 1) thin films fabricated by a tailored two-step magnetron sputtering and recrystallization process. The minor nickel(Ni) content greatly enhances the catalytic activity of Cu, rendering the growth of a 4 in. single-crystal monolayer graphene wafer in 10 min on Cu90Ni10(1 1 1), 50 folds faster than graphene growth on Cu(1 1 1). Through the carbon isotope labeling experiments, graphene growth on Cu90Ni10(1 1 1) is proved to be exclusively surface-reaction dominated, which is ascribed to the Cu surface enrichment in the Cu Ni alloy, as indicated by element in-depth profile. One of the best benefits of our protocol is the compatibility with wafer process and excellent scalability. A pilot-scale chemical vapor deposition(CVD) system is designed and built for the mass production of single-crystal graphene wafers, with productivity of 25 pieces in one process cycle. Furthermore, we demonstrate the application of single-crystal graphene in electrically controlled liquid-crystal microlens arrays(LCMLA), which exhibit highly tunable focal lengths near 2 mm under small driving voltages. By integration of the graphene based LCMLA and a CMOS sensor, a prototype camera is proposed that is available for simultaneous light-field and light intensity imaging. 4China's foreign aid for global poverty alleviation:artemisinin-based combination therapies against malaria in Togo显示文摘From providing funds for the global fight against infectious diseases,to actively participating in global health security actions,to strengthening mutual cooperation in the field of health,and providing medical treatment,training and scholarships to countries in need,China’s foreign aid on global poverty alleviation is increasingly diversified and expanding in scale.Indeed,China is playing an increasingly important leading role in the global health agenda.It is worth mentioning that over the years,artemisinin compound have saved millions of lives all over the world,especially in poverty-stricken areas.China’s work mode of malaria elimination has also been written into WHO’s technical documents and recommended to other countries.Since 2007,Chinese medical staff has carried out the Artemisinin Compound Malaria Control Project in Comoros,bringing Chinese prevention and treatment programs to the local area.By 2014,Comoros had achieved zero deaths from malaria,and the number of cases had dropped by 98%.Now,this program is also extended to Togo,another African country.This article preliminarily summarizes the malaria profile in Togo and introduces China-Togo Cooperative Artemisinin Malaria Control Demonstration Project to provide a reference for better anti-malaria assistance in Togo,and also shows one of the substantive actions of China’s participation in global health governance,which contributes Chinese wisdom and offers Chinese solutions to global poverty alleviation.Qi Wang Chuyi Yu Hongying Zhang Shaoqin Zheng Jianping Song Changsheng Deng 2021Global Health Journal2021,5,3:3
5Fabrication and evaluation of a BMP-2/dexamethasone co-loaded gelatin sponge scaffold for rapid bone regeneration显示文摘Improving the osteogenic activity of BMP-2 in vivo has significant clinical application value.In this research,we use a clinical gelatin sponge scaffold loaded with BMP-2 and dexamethasone(Dex)to evaluate the osteogenic activity of dual drugs via ectopic osteogenesis in vivo.We also investigate the mechanism of osteogenesis induced by BMP-2 and Dex with C2C12,a multipotent muscle-derived progenitor cell.The results show that the gelatin scaffold with Dex and BMP-2 can significantly accelerate osteogenesis in vivo.It is indicated that compared with the BMP-2 or Dex alone,100nM of Dex can dramatically enhance the BMP-2-induced alkaline phosphatase activity(ALP),ALP mRNA expression and mineralization.Further studies show that 100nM of Dex can maintain the secondary structure of BMP-2 and facilitate recognition of BMP-2 with its receptors on the surface of C2C12 cells.We also find that in C2C12,Dex has no obvious effect on the BMP-2-induced Smad1/5/8 protein expression and the STAT3-dependent pathway,but Runx2-dependent pathway is involved in the Dex-stimulated osteoblast differentiation of BMP-2 both in vitro and in vivo.Based on these results,a potential mechanism model about the synergistic osteoinductive effect of Dex and BMP-2 in C2C12 cells via Runx2 activation is proposed.This may provide a theoretical basis for the pre-clinical application of Dex and BMP-2 for bone regeneration.Qi Gan Hao Pan Wenjing Zhang Yuan Yuan Jiangchao Qian Changsheng Liu 2022Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1:2
6Degradation of ofloxacin using peroxymonosulfate activated by nitrogen-rich graphitized carbon microspheres:Structure and performance controllable study显示文摘Nitrogen-rich graphitized carbon microspheres(NGCs)with hierarchically porous were constructed by self-assembly.Under different heat treatment conditions,the structure,morphology and properties of NGCs were studied by using multiple characterization techniques.The results showed that the chemical microenvironments(e.g.surface chemistry,degree of graphitization and defective,etc.)and microstructures properties(e.g.morphology,specific surface area,particle size,etc.)could be delicately controlled via thermal carbonization processes.The degradation of ofloxacin(OFLX)by NGCs activated peroxymonosulfate(PMS)was studied systematically.It was found that the synergistic coupling effect between optimum N or O bonding species configuration ratio(graphitic N and C=O)and special microstructure was the main reason for the enhanced catalytic activity of NGC-800(calcination temperature at 800°C).Electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)experiments and radical quenching experiments indicated that the hydroxyl(·OH),sulfate(SO4^·-)and singlet oxygen(^1O_(2))were contributors in the NGC-800/PMS systems.Further investigation of the durability of chemical structures and surface active sites revealed that undergo N bonding species configuration reconstruction and cannibalistic oxidation during PMS activation reaction.The used NGC-800 physicochemical properties could be recovered by heat treatment to achieve the ideal catalytic performance.The findings proposed a valuable insight for catalytic performance and controllable design of construction.Changsheng Feng Chen Chen Yu Zhu Qi Cao Chao Chen Caiyun Jiang Yuping Wang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,1:2
7Physicochemical properties and volatile components of hempseed oils in Bama region显示文摘A comparison study has been performed in hempseed oils (HSO) extracted from different cultivars in Bama region. Squeezing properties, chemical compositions, thermal stability and flavor profile of pressed HSO were determined in this study. Results indicated that there were no significant differences in crude fat, protein, fiber of different hempseeds and fatty acid composition in HSOs. Hempseeds with small size and dark-colored peel have lower squeezing oil yield than big ones. Average content of total phytosterol, tocopherol and phenol in HSO from small seeds were 872.0 mg/100 g, 124.1 mg/100 g and 15.5 mg SA/100 g respectively. Thermal oxidation by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) revealed three step oxidation of HSO with mean onset and oxidation temperature at 124oC and 135-315oC. Oxidation temperature of HSO from small seeds was higher than that from big seeds (big size and light-colored peel). Main volatile ingredients in HSO contained 11 kinds of monoterpene and 7 kinds of sesquiterpene. Volatile terpene content in HSO from small seeds was nearly 30% higher than that of big seeds. Quality of HSO with different peel feature has significant difference in squeezing yield, thermal stability and volatile flavors. 8Fabrication and Characterization of Ni-Al_2O_3 Nano-Composite Coatings by Sediment Co-Deposition显示文摘Ni-Al2O3 nano-composite coatings were fabricated by sediment co-deposition (SCD) from Watt’s type electrolyte containing nano-Al2O3 particles without any additives. For comparison, Ni-Al2O3 nano-composite coatings were prepared by conventional electro-plating (CEP) under experimental conditions. Effects of process parameters, such as nano-Al2O3 concentration in plating solution, current density, stirring rate, and bath temperature, on nano-Al2O3 content in composite coatings were investigated. The distribution of elements in deposit, and the bonding strength between coating and substrate was analyzed by electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA) and auto-scratch apparatus, respectively. It is found that the nano-Al2O3 concentration in plating solution, current density and stirring rate are three main factors affecting the particles content in deposit, and played a key role in the formation of composite coatings. The nano-Al2O3 content in composite coatings increased with increasing of nano-Al2O3 concentration in plating solution, current density and stirring rate to reach a maximum value, and then reduced slightly. The contents of nano-Al2O3 particles in composite coatings by the SCD technique were higher than that by the CEP technique. The co-deposited nano-Al2O3 particles embedded uniformly in the Ni matrix. The coating was well adhesion with substrate.
