| 3 | Positive effect of ethanol-induced Lactococcus lactis on alcohol metabolism in mice显示文摘It is well known that exposure to environmental stresses could enhance the adaptability of bacteria and up-regulate the expression of a variety of oxidative stress-related genes and antioxidant enzymes.It is unclear whether the adaptability of microorganisms formed naturally in special environments could transfer to other organisms.The study aimed to evaluate the effects of untreated and ethanol-induced Lactococcus lactis intracellular extracts(U-IE and E-IE)on alcohol metabolism in mice.The positive effects of E-IE on alcohol metabolism in mice were revealed by the enhanced latency of loss of righting reflex(LORR),the reduced duration of LORR,the decrease of blood alcohol concentration,as well as the elevation of alcohol dehydrogenase(ADH)activities in the stomach and liver tissues.Furthermore,the potential benefits of E-IE on the liver were evaluated by biochemical parameters including the activities of serum transaminase,the levels of antioxidant enzymes,and the pathological changes of liver tissue.The present work put forward a new point that appropriate ethanol stress could enhance the intracellular ADH activity of L.lactis,and its intracellular extracts could continue to enhance alcohol metabolism in mice. | Sisi Chen Shimin Jia Keke Suo Qiaozhen Kang Limin Hao Laizheng Lu Xin Liu Jinyong Huang Jike Lu | 2022 | Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,5: | 1 |

| 9 | PET imaging on neurofunctional changes after optogenetic stimulation in a rat model of panic disorder显示文摘Panic disorder (PD) is an acute paroxysmal anxiety disorder with poorly understood pathophysiology. The dorsal periaqueductal gray (dPAG) is involved in the genesis of PD. However, the downstream neurofunctional changes of the dPAG during panic attacks have yet to be evaluated in vivo. In this study, optogenetic stimulation to the dPAG was performed to induce panic-like behaviors, and in vivo positron emission tomography (PET) imaging with ,8F-flurodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) was conducted to evaluate neurofunctional changes before and after the optogenetic stimulation. Compared with the baseline, post-optogenetic stimulation PET imaging demonstrated that the glucose metabolism significantly increased (P < 0.001) in dPAG, the cuneiform nucleus, the cerebellar lobule, the cingulate cortex, the alveus of the hippocampus, the primary visual cortex, the septohypothalamic nucleus, and the retrosplenial granular cortex but significantly decreased (P < 0.001) in the basal ganglia, the frontal cortex, the forceps minor corpus callosum, the primary somatosensory cortex, the primary motor cortex, the secondary visual cortex, and the dorsal lateral geniculate nucleus. | 10 | Population structure and genome‑wide evolutionary signatures reveal putative climate‑driven habitat change and local adaptation in the large yellow croaker显示文摘The large yellow croaker(Larimichthys crocea)is one of the most economically valuable marine fsh in China and is a notable species in ecological studies owing to a serious collapse of wild germplasm in the past few decades.The stock division and species distribution,which have important implications for ecological protection,germplasm recovery,and fshery resource management,have been debated since the 1960s.However,it is still uncertain even how many stocks exist in this species.To address this,we evaluated the fne-scale genetic structure of large yellow croaker populations distributed along the eastern and southern Chinese coastline based on 7.64 million SNP markers.Compared with the widely accepted stock boundaries proposed in the 1960s,our results revealed that a climate-driven habitat change probably occurred between the Naozhou(Nanhai)Stock and the Ming-Yuedong(Mindong)Stock.The boundary between these two stocks might have shifted northwards from the Pearl River Estuary to the northern area of the Taiwan Strait,accompanied by highly asymmetric introgression.In addition,we found divergent landscapes of natural selection between the stocks inhabiting northern and southern areas.The northern population exhibited highly agminated signatures of strong natural selection in genes related to developmental processes,whereas moderate and interspersed selective signatures were detected in many immune-related genes in the southern populations.These fndings establish the stock status and genome-wide evolutionary landscapes of large yellow croaker,providing a basis for conservation,fsheries management and further evolutionary biology studies. | Baohua Chen Yulin Bai Jiaying Wang Qiaozhen Ke Zhixiong Zhou Tao Zhou Ying Pan Renxie Wu Xiongfei Wu Weiqiang Zheng Peng Xu | 2023 | Marine Life Science & Technology2023,5,2: | 0 |

Meta 16 S sequencing method was used to identify the bacterial flora in C. irritans, and V.harveyi was isolated via culture-dependent method. Vibrio harveyi was observed in cytoplasm of C. irritans at the stage of tomont both by transmission electron microscopy and by Fluorescence in situ hybridization; no signal,however, was detected in nucleus area.
