1Effects of different acupuncture manipulations on protein expression in the parietal cortex of spontaneously hypertensive rats显示文摘Objective: To analyze the effects of twirling reinforcing and reducing manipulations on protein expression in parietal cortex of spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHRs), and elucidate the main mechanisms and differences between two manipulations in hypertension treatment.Methods: Rats were randomly divided into the control, model, twirling reinforcing manipulation(TRFM),and twirling reducing manipulation(TRDM) groups. The control and model groups received catch and fixation stimulations once a day for 14 days. The TRFM and TRDM groups were intervened once a day for 20 min for 14 days. On days 0, 2, 6, 10, and 14 after acupuncture, rat systolic blood pressures(SBPs) were measured. Differential protein(DP) expression in the rat parietal cortices was detected. Thereafter, GO functional significance and KEGG pathway enrichment analyses were performed.Results: Compared with the model group, SBP of rats in the TRDM and TRFM groups decreased on days 6 and 10 of acupuncture, respectively(P=.009;P <.001). Moreover, SBP of the TRDM group was significantly lower than that of the TRFM group on days 10 and 14 of acupuncture(P=.015;P=.013).Compared with control group, 601 and 1040 DPs were up-and downregulated, respectively, in the model group. Compared with model group, 44 and 28 up-and downregulated DPs were expressed, respectively,in the TRFM group. Compared with model group, expression of 616 and 427 up-and downregulated DPs,respectively, was found in the TRDM group. After combining the results of GO and KEGG enrichment analyses, five and one pathways were found to be related to the central antihypertensive mechanism of the parietal cortex during twirling reducing and reinforcing manipulations, respectively.Conclusion: TRDM showed a more effective antihypertensive effect on SHRs than TRFM;this antihypertensive effect was related to the regulation of different proteins and their biological functions.Jiaojuan Wu Tianxiao Zeng Jingrong Liang Xudong Zhang Qi Xie Taotao Lv Pui Yee Wong Zhi Ji Qingguo Liu 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2021,8,3:4
2Single-Atom Pd–N_(3)Sites on Carbon-Defi cient g-C_(3)N_(4)for Photocatalytic H_(2)Evolution显示文摘Photocatalytic hydrogen evolution is an attractive fi eld for future environment-friendly energy.However,fast recombination of photogenerated charges severely inhibits hydrogen effi ciency.Single-atom cocatalysts such as Pt have emerged as an eff ective method to enhance the photocatalytic activity by introduction of active sites and boosting charge separation with low-coordination environment.Herein,we demonstrated a new strategy to develop a highly active Pd single atom in carbondefi cient g-C_(3)N_(4)with a unique coordination.The single-atom Pd–N_(3)sites constructed by oil bath heating and photoreduction process were confi rmed by HADDF-STEM and XPS measurements.Introduction of single-atom Pd greatly improved the separation and transportation of charge carriers,leading to a longer lifespan for consequent reactions.The obtained singleatom Pd loaded on the carbon-defi cient g-C_(3)N_(4)showed excellent photocatalytic activity in hydrogen production with about 24 and 4 times higher activity than that of g-C_(3)N_(4)and nano-sized Pd on the same support,respectively.This work provides a new insight on the design of single-atom catalyst.Guimei Liu Haiqin Lv Yubin Zeng Mingzhe Yuan Qingguo Meng Yuanhao Wang Chuanyi Wang 2021Transactions of Tianjin University2021,27,2:1
3Late Cambrian to Early Silurian Granitic Rocks of the Gemuri Area, Central Qiangtang, North Tibet: New Constraints on the Tectonic Evolution of the Northern Margin of Gondwana显示文摘The Paleozoic tectonic framework and paleo–plate configuration of the northern margin of Gondwana remain controversial. The South Qiangtang terrane is located along the northern margin of Gondwana and records key processes in the formation and evolution of this supercontinent. Here, we present new field, petrological, zircon U-Pb geochronological, and Lu-Hf isotopic data for granitic rocks of the Gemuri pluton, all of which provide new insights into the evolution of the northern margin of Gondwana. Zircon U-Pb dating of the Gemuri pluton yielded three concordant ages of 488.5 ± 2.1, 479.9 ± 8.9, and 438.5 ± 3.5 Ma. Combining these ages with the results of previous research indicates that the South Qiangtang terrane records two magmatic episodes at 502–471 and 453–439 Ma. These two episodes are associated with enriched zircon Hf isotopic compositions(εHf(t) =-10.1 to-3.9 and-16.6 to-6.5, respectively), suggesting the granites were formed by the partial melting of Paleoproterozoic–Mesoproterozoic metasedimentary rocks(Two–stage Hf model ages(TCDM) = 2094–1704 and 2466–1827 Ma, respectively). Combining these data with the presence of linearly distributed, contemporaneous Paleozoic igneous rocks along the northern margin of Gondwana, we suggest that all of these rocks were formed in an active continental margin setting. 4Telomere-to-telomere genome assembly of melon(Cucumis melo L.var.inodorus)provides a high-quality reference for meta-QTL analysis of important traits显示文摘Melon is an important horticultural crop with extensive diversity in many horticultural groups.To explore its genomic diversity,it is necessary to assemble more high-quality complete genomes from different melon accessions.Meanwhile,a large number of QTLs have been mapped in several studies.Integration of the published QTLs onto a complete genome can provide more accurate information for candidate gene cloning.To address these problems,a telomere-to-telomere(T2T)genome of the elite melon landrace Kuizilikjiz(Cucumis melo L.var.inodorus)was de novo assembled and all the published QTLs were projected onto it in this study.The results showed that a high-quality Kuizilikjiz genome with the size of 379.2 Mb and N50 of 31.7 Mb was de novo assembled using the combination of short reads,PacBio high-fidelity long reads,Hi-C data,and a high-density genetic map.Each chromosome contained the centromere and telomeres at both ends.A large number of structural variations were observed between Kuizilikjiz and the other published genomes.A total of 1294 QTLs published in 67 studies were collected and projected onto the T2T genome.Several clustered,co-localized,and overlapped QTLs were determined.Furthermore,20 stable meta-QTLs were identified,which significantly reduced the mapping intervals of the initial QTLs and greatly facilitated identification of the candidate genes.Collectively,the T2T genome assembly together with the numerous projected QTLs will not only broaden the high-quality genome resources but also provide valuable and abundant QTL information for cloning the genes controlling important traits in melon.Minghua Wei Ying Huang Changjuan Mo Haiyan Wang Qingguo Zeng Wenli Yang Jihao Chen Xuejun Zhang Qiusheng Kong 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,10:0
5A hippocampal anti-hypertensive mechanism induced by twirling reinforcing-reducing manipulation in rats显示文摘Objective:To investigate a hippocampal anti-hypertensive mechanism induced by twirling reinforcingreducing manipulation(TRRM)using proteomics in rats.Methods:Forty-two male spontaneously hypertensive rats were randomly divided into 3 groups,and 14 Wistar-Kyoto rats were served as control group.In the twirling reinforcing(TRF)group,needles were directly inserted into the Taichong(LR 3)point,then thumbs were moved heavily forward and lightly backward for 3 min,while needles remained inserted for 17 min.In the twirling reduction(TRD)group,the same treatment was applied as in the TRF group except that the thumb moved lightly forward and heavily backward.In the model and control groups,only the corresponding grasping and fixation were applied.All interventions were conducted for 14 days.The blood pressure(BP)of all rats was measured one day before intervention and every other day after.Then hematoxylin-eosin(H&E)staining,label-free and parallel reaction monitoring proteomic techniques were used to assess hippocampal samples from each group.Results:Systolic BPs showed a significant decrease in the TRF and TRD groups compared with the model group(P<.01).In the model group,H&E staining showed obvious pathological changes in the hippocampus,while in the TRF and TRD groups,the hippocampal morphology was only slightly altered.Labelfree proteomic analysis revealed 1163 differential protein expressions between groups.Gene Ontology enrichment analysis confirmed that the differentially expressed proteins were enriched in different biological processes,cellular components,and molecular functions.Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analysis showed that TRRM proteins were expressed in the serotonergic synapse pathway,renin-angiotensin system,the mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway,and the peroxisome pathway,which were all also related to BP regulation.Conclusion:TRRM can significantly lower the BP of SHRs.The mode of action may be through the activation of various protein pathways in the hippocampus that are related to BP regulation.Jiao Sun Liu Yan Yunhong Zhu Jingrong Liang Yingying Zang Tianxiao Zeng Xiaomin Hao Pui Yee Wong Qingguo Liu 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2023,10,1:0
6Effect of potential difference between nano-Al_(2)O_(3)whisker and Mg matrix on the dispersion of Mg composites显示文摘The potential difference between positive and negative ions was utilized to improve the homogenized dispersion of nanoscale Al_(2)O_(3) whiskers in Mg matrix composites.The Mg powders were decorated with sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate(C_(18)H_(29)NaO_(3)S,SDBS)and were introduced to the cathode group on their surface.The Al_(2)O_(3) whiskers were modified by the cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(C_(19)H_(42)BrN,CTAB)and were featured in the anode group.The suitable contents of CTAB and SDBS,the application atmosphere,and the type of solvents were investigated.Dispersion results showed that adding 2wt%SDBS into Mg powders and adding 2wt%CTAB into Al_(2)O_(3) whiskers pro-moted the formation of more uniformly mixed composite powders,compared to those of conventional ball milling via scanning electron micro-scopy(SEM)analysis.Meanwhile,the calculated results derived from first-principle calculations also demonstrated the stronger cohesion between Al_(2)O_(3) whisker reinforcements and Mg matrix than undecorated composite powders.After preparation by powder metallurgy,the mor-phology,grain size,hardness,and standard deviation coefficient of composites were analyzed to evaluate the dispersed efficiency.The results indicated that the modification of homogenized dispersed Al_(2)O_(3) whiskers in composites contributed to the refinement of 26%in grain size and the improvement of 20%in hardness compared with pure Mg,and the reduction of 32.5%in the standard deviation coefficient of hardness compared with the ball-milling sample.Xiaoying Qian Hong Yang Chunfeng Hu Ying Zeng Yuanding Huang Xin Shang Yangjie Wan Bin Jiang Qingguo Feng 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,1:0
7Correlation between the transdermal characteristics of pseudoephedrine and amygdalin in majiepingchuan in vitro显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To analyze the transdermal profile of pseudoephedrine and amygdalin in the Traditional Chinese Medicine majiepingchuan in rat skin and to reveal their interaction.METHODS: A Franz diffusion cell was used in vitro to evaluate the transdermal parameters of cumulative transdermal flux(Q_(tot)), cumulative transmission(T_(tot)), and mean penetration rate(Kp) of pseudoephedrine and amygdalin in majiepingchuan. 8Circumbinary disk, an efficient medium extracting orbital angular momentum in close binaries显示文摘The loss of orbital angular momentum plays an important role in the mass transfer and orbital evolution of close binaries. The traditional mechanisms of orbital angular momentum loss consist of gravitational wave radiation, mass loss and magnetic braking. However, a small fraction of the mass outflow may form a thin circumbinary disk (CB disk) located in the orbital plane of the binary during mass exchange. The tide torques caused by the gravitational interaction between a CB disk and a binary system brake binary effectively, and extract the orbital angular momentum from the binary system. In this study, numerical calculations for the evolution of the white dwarf binary show that a CB disk is an efficient medium extracting orbital angular momentum even if the mass loss is very small.
