| 1 | Impact of China’s Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan on PM2.5 chemical composition over eastern China显示文摘China promulgated the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan(the Action Plan)in 2013 and developed stringent control measures to mitigate fine particulate matter(PM2.5) pollution.Here,we investigated the PM2.5 chemical composition changes over eastern China associated with the Action Plan during 2013-2017 using satellite-based PM2.5 chemical composition data derived using CMAQ simulations and satellite inputs.The PM2.5 concentrations decreased considerably during this time as a result of the reductions in all chemical species in PM2.5.The population-weighted mean concentrations over eastern China decreased from 11.1 to 6.7μgm-3 for SO42-,13.8-13.1μgm-3 for NO3-,7.4-5.8μgm-3 for NH4+,9.9-8.4μgm-3 for OM,4.6-3.8μg m-3 for BC and 12.9-9.6μg m-3 for other species in PM2.5.SO42-had the largest reduction of 40%,while NO3-had the lowest reduction of 5%,resulting in a greater fraction of NO3-and a smaller fraction of SO42-in PM2.5.Among the three key regions,Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei had the largest reduction in PM2.5 and its chemical compositions.The decrease in SO42-concentrations was in line with the reduction of SO2 emissions,and the major driver of the SO2 emission reductions was the industrial sector.The decrease in NO3 concentrations was limited because the decrease in SO2 emissions and the stable NH3 emissions facilitated the formation of NO3-from HNO3,which partially offset the reduction in NOx emissions driven by the power sector.To mitigate PM2.5 pollution more effectively,future efforts are needed to reduce NH3 emissions. | Guannan GENG Qingyang XIAO Yixuan ZHENG Dan TONG Yuxuan ZHANG Xiaoye ZHANG Qiang ZHANG Kebin HE Yang LIU | 2019 | Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12: | 16 |

| 7 | Numerical Investigation of the Influence of Fuel Concentration Gradient on Propane/Oxygen Detonation Propagation显示文摘In this paper,one-and two-dimensional numerical simulations are carried out to study the effects of fuel concentration gradients(such as steep,intermediate and shallow)on the detonation wave behavior.The equivalent ratio range of detonation propagation,the quenching mechanism and the change of cell size are discussed in detail.The simulation results show,as the fuel concentration gradient increases,the detonation wavefront decays faster and decouples into a leading shock and a following flame at equivalence ratios of 0.68,0.64 and 0.62,respectively.Moreover,there are two modes of the quenching mechanism.One occurs in the steep gradient that the detonation wave fails rapidly.The O_(2)in front of the detonation wave passes through the detonation wave and forms some unburned O_(2)pockets.The unburned pockets are affected by the marginal walls and reduce the heat release.The other occurs in the intermediate and shallow gradients that more triple points will survive in the flow field,which leads to a difference in the propagation speed of the detonation wavefront.This makes the detonation wavefront bent and deformed.The unburned O_(2)pockets are affected by the strong instability near the triple points and show different distribution characteristics compared with the steep gradient,which may be helpful to the detonation propagation.In addition,as the fuel concentration gradient increases,the triple points moving toward the wall gradually disappear while the triple points that move toward the center can continue to survive,which leads to the gradual increase in cell size and irregularity of the cell structure. | SHAO Xiaofeng WU Tianxing MENG Qingyang ZHAO Ningbo QI Lei ZHENG Hongtao | 2023 | Journal of Thermal Science2023,32,6: | 0 |
| 8 | A systematic printability study of direct ink writing towards high-resolution rapid manufacturing显示文摘Direct ink writing(DIW)holds enormous potential in fabricating multiscale and multi-functional architectures by virtue of its wide range of printable materials,simple operation,and ease of rapid prototyping.Although it is well known that ink rheology and processing parameters have a direct impact on the resolution and shape of the printed objects,the underlying mechanisms of these key factors on the printability and quality of DIW technique remain poorly understood.To tackle this issue,we systematically analyzed the printability and quality through extrusion mechanism modeling and experimental validating.Hybrid non-Newtonian fluid inks were first prepared,and their rheological properties were measured.Then,finite element analysis of the whole DIW process was conducted to reveal the flow dynamics of these inks.The obtained optimal process parameters(ink rheology,applied pressure,printing speed,etc)were also validated by experiments where high-resolution(<100μm)patterns were fabricated rapidly(>70 mm s^(-1)).Finally,as a process research demonstration,we printed a series of microstructures and circuit systems with hybrid inks and silver inks,showing the suitability of the printable process parameters.This study provides a strong quantitative illustration of the use of DIW for the high-speed preparation of high-resolution,high-precision samples. | Qingyang Zheng Bin Xie Zhoulong Xu Hao Wu | 2023 | International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2023,5,3: | 0 |

| 10 | Physical clogging experiment of sand gravel infiltration with Yellow River water in the Yufuhe River channel of Jinan, China显示文摘To make sense of physical clogging during Yellow River water spreading in the strong leakage zone of the Yufuhe River,a laboratory sand column experiment was undertaken and the heterogeneous sand gravel with a uniformity coefficient of 25.2 from the Yufuhe River was used as an infiltration medium.Under either the condition of raw sand or washed sand,physical clogging tests were conducted with constant hydraulic heads of 10 cm and 30 cm and inflow suspension concentrations of 200 mg/L,500 mg/L,and 1000 mg/L.The fine particles in the suspension and in the raw sand were considered exogenous and endogenous particles,respectively.Rapid clogging was observed in the porous medium when the inflow concentrations of the exogenous particles were high,and increased hydraulic head led to serious clogging.This result indicated that the Yufuhe River has a strong recharge capability with respect to clogging.The analysis of particle content shows that endogenous fine particles(diameter 1–10 mm and 50–74 mm)had less mobility and generally accumulated in the sand column,whereas particles with diameter 10–50 mm had greater mobility in the sand column.And the distribution of exogenous fine particles size after movement is relatively uniform in the sand column.Field observations indicated that the filtration effect of the aquifers have greatly improved the water quality of recharge water in the strong leakage zone of the Yufuhe River,and test data of turbidity also verified the results of the sand column experiments. | Qingyang ZHENG Weiping WANG Shuai LIU Shisong QU | 2020 | Frontiers of Earth Science2020,14,2: | 0 |
