| 1 | The subducted slab of Yangtze Continental block beneath the Tethyan orogen in western Yunnan显示文摘The western Yunnan area is a natural laboratory with fully developed and best preserved Tethyan orogen in the world. Seismic tomography reveals a slab-like high velocity anomaly down to 250 km beneath the western Yunnan Tethyan orogen, to its west there is a low-velocity column about 300 km wide. in the region from Lancangjiang to Mojiang an obvious low velocity in the lower crust and uppermost mantle overlies on the slab. Synthesizing the available geological and geochemical results, the present paper demonstrates that this slab-like high velocity anomaly is a part of the subducted plate of Yangtze Continental segment after the closure of Paleotethys. | 2 | Analgesic effect of different moxibustion durations in rheumatoid arthritis rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the influence of different moxibustion durations on hypothalamic pro-opiomelanocortin(POMC)and prodynorphin(PDYN)mRNA expressions and plasmaβ-endorphin(β-EP)content in rheumatoid arthritis(RA)rats,to understand the mechanism of moxibustion analgesia and its dose-effect relationship.METHODS:Twelve male Wistar rats were randomly selected from 48 male Wistar rats as a normal control group.The RA model was created by raising rats in a windy(blowing with electric fan),cold(6℃±2℃),and wet(80%-90%humidity)environment for 20 days,12 h each day.This was followed byinjectionofFreund'scompleteadjuvant(0.15 mL)into the ankle.Then,rats were randomly divided into a model group,moxibustion groupⅠ,and moxibustion groupⅡ,with 12 rats in each group.In moxibustion groupsⅠandⅡ,moxibustion was given at Shenshu(BL 23)and Zusanli(ST 36)for 20and 40 min,respectively,once daily for 15 days.Hypothalamic POMC and PDYN mRNA expression levels and plasmaβ-EP content were determined.RESULTS:Compared with the normal group,the pressure pain threshold decreased,while the hypothalamic POMC and PDYN mRNA expression levels and plasmaβ-EP content increased in the moxibustion groups(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,the pressure pain threshold,hypothalamic POMC and PDYN mRNA expression levels and plasmaβ-EP content in the moxibustion groups increased significantly(P<0.01).Compared the moxibustion groupⅠ,the pain threshold,hypothalamic POMC and PDYN mRNA expression levels and plasmaβ-EP content in moxibustion groupⅡsignificantly increased(P<0.01).CONCLUSION:Moxibustion has an analgesic effect and increases hypothalamic POMC and PDYN mRNA expression levels and plasmaβ-EP content inRArats.TheanalgesiceffectinmoxibustiongroupⅡisbetterthanthatinmoxibustiongroupⅠ. | Baozhu Zheng Ling Hu Xiaoge Song ZijianWu Ronglin Cai Lu He Cheng Zhang QingYu | 2014 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,1: | 10 |

| 4 | Targeting PFKL with penfluridol inhibits glycolysis and suppresses esophageal cancer tumorigenesis in an AMPK/FOXO3a/BIM-dependent manner显示文摘As one of the hallmarks of cancer,metabolic reprogramming leads to cancer progression,and targeting glycolytic enzymes could be useful strategies for cancer therapy.By screening a small molecule library consisting of 1320 FDA-approved drugs,we found that penfluridol,an antipsychotic drug used to treat schizophrenia,could inhibit glycolysis and induce apoptosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).Gene profiling and Ingenuity Pathway Analysis suggested the important role of AMPK in action mechanism of penfluridol.By using drug affinity responsive target stability(DARTS)technology and proteomics,we identified phosphofructokinase,liver type(PFKL),a key enzyme in glycolysis,as a direct target of penfluridol.Penfluridol could not exhibit its anticancer property in PFKL-deficient cancer cells,illustrating that PFKL is essential for the bioactivity of penfluridol.High PFKL expression is correlated with advanced stages and poor survival of ESCC patients,and silencing of PFKL significantly suppressed tumor growth.Mechanistically,direct binding of penfluridol and PFKL inhibits glucose consumption,lactate and ATP production,leads to nuclear translocation of FOXO3a and subsequent transcriptional activation of BIM in an AMPK-dependent manner.Taken together,PFKL is a potential prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target in ESCC,and penfluridol may be a new therapeutic option for management of this lethal disease. | Cancan Zheng Xiaomei Yu Yiyao Liang Yidong Zhu Yan He Long Liao Dingkang Wang Yanming Yang Xingfeng Yin Ang Li Qingyu He Bin Li | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,3: | 4 |
| 5 | In-situ observation of electrical tree evolution in epoxy dielectrics with internal cracks显示文摘Gas-filled internal crack might appear in thermoset materials like epoxy resin during the equipment manufacturing,which would become a vulnerable local region to initiate the electrical tree,thus prone to cause insulation failure.The withstand voltage test was carried on epoxy samples with artificial cracks based on a rod-plane electrode arrange-ment.Simultaneously,surface state variation and tree evolution with crack were observed by an optical microscope in conjunction with a charge-coupled device camera.The changes in morphology and chemical status of the crack surface were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,laser Raman spectrometer and energy dispersive spec-trometer,respectively.It was found that the erosion and tree started from the borderline of crack under a relatively low electric field strength;however,the area near the electrode had relatively little damage.The breaking of epoxy molecular chains coarsens the crack surface and further forms deep channels on a micro-level,which is the forerunner of the electrical tree inception.Based on these,the initiation mechanisms of the crack-induced electrical tree and the reasons for the erosion near the borderline have been revealed.This study provides a train thought for the polymer degradation opening up into the initial tree channel during tree evolution processes. | Zehua Wu Huidong Tian Sijia Zhu He Li Qingyu Wang Zongliang Xie Peng Liu Zongren Peng | 2021 | High Voltage2021,6,2: | 3 |
| 6 | Standard pancreatoduodenectomy versus extended pancreatoduodenectomy with modified retroperitoneal nerve resection in patients with pancreatic head cancer:a multicenter randomized controlled trial显示文摘Background:The extent of pancreatoduodenectomy for pancreatic head cancer remains controversial,and more high-level clinical evidence is needed.This study aimed to evaluate the outcome of extended pancreatoduodenectomy(EPD)with retroperitoneal nerve resection in pancreatic head cancer.Methods:This multicenter randomized trial was performed at 6 Chinese highvolume hospitals that enrolled patients between October 3,2012,and September 21,2017.Four hundred patients with stage I or II pancreatic head cancer and without specific pancreatic cancer treatments(preoperative chemotherapy or chemoradiation)within three months were randomly assigned to undergo standard pancreatoduodenectomy(SPD)or EPD,with the latter followed by dissection of additional lymph nodes(LNs),nerves and soft tissues 270◦on the right side surrounding the superior mesenteric artery and celiac axis.The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS)by intention-to-treat(ITT).The secondary endpoints were disease-free survival(DFS),mortality,morbidity,and postoperative pain intensity.Results:TheR1 ratewas slightly lower with EPD(8.46%)thanwith SPD(12.56%).The morbidity and mortality rates were similar between the two groups.The median OS was similar in the EPD and SPD groups by ITT in the whole study cohort(23.0 vs.20.2 months,P=0.100),while the median DFS was superior in the EPD group(16.1 vs.13.2 months,P=0.031).Patients with preoperative CA19–9<200.0 U/mL had significantly improved OS and DFS with EPD(EPD vs.SPD,30.8 vs.20.9 months,P=0.009;23.4 vs.13.5 months,P<0.001).The EPD group exhibited significantly lower locoregional(16.48%vs.35.20%,P<0.001)andmesenteric LNrecurrence rates(3.98%vs.10.06%,P=0.022).The EPD group exhibited less back pain 6 months postoperation than the SPD group.Conclusions:EPD for pancreatic head cancer did not significantly improve OS,but patients with EPD treatment had significantly improved DFS.In the subgroup analysis,improvements in bothOS and DFS in the EPD armwere observed in patients with preoperative CA19–9<200.0 U/mL.EPD could be used as an effective surgical procedure for patients with pancreatic head cancer,especially those with preoperative CA19–9<200.0 U/mL. | Qing Lin Shangyou Zheng Xianjun Yu Meifu Chen Yu Zhou Quanbo Zhou Chonghui Hu Jing Gu Zhongdong Xu LinWang Yimin Liu Qingyu Liu MinWang Guolin Li He Cheng Dongkai Zhou Guodong Liu Zhiqiang Fu Yu Long Yixiong Li Weilin Wang Renyi Qin Zhihua Li Rufu Chen | 2023 | Cancer Communications2023,43,2: | 3 |

| 8 | Measurement of hydrogen peroxide and organic hydroperoxide concentrations during autumn in Beijing, China显示文摘Gaseous peroxides play important roles in atmospheric chemistry. To understand the pathways of the formation and removal of peroxides, atmospheric peroxide concentrations and their controlling factors were measured from 7:00 to 20:00 in September, October, and November 2013 at a heavily trafficked residential site in Beijing, China, with average concentrations of hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2) and methyl hydroperoxide(MHP) at 0.55 ppb and 0.063 ppb, respectively. H_2O_2 concentrations were higher in the afternoon and lower in the morning and evening, while MHP concentrations did not exhibit a regular diurnal pattern. Both H_2O_2 and MHP concentrations increased at dusk in most cases. Both peroxides displayed monthly variations with higher concentrations in September. These results suggested that photochemical activity was the main controlling factor on variations of H_2O_2 concentrations during the measurement period. Increasing concentrations of volatile organic compounds emitted by motor vehicles were important contributors to H_2O_2 and MHP enrichment. | 13 | A robust polyacrylic acid/chitosan cryogel for rapid hemostasis显示文摘Currently,it is a challenge to develop hemostatic materials with high water absorption capacity and anti-fatigue properties for quickly preventing massive hemorrhage from arteries and visceral organs.A series of polyacrylic acid/chitosan(PAA/CS)cryogels were prepared by a cryostructurization technique to improve mechanical performance and hemostatic efficiency of chitosan(CS).In this system,the chemically cross-linked PAA network was used as a framework to improve water absorption behaviors and mechanical strength.The CS network was co-blended by hydrogen bonding and electrostatic interactions,both of which synergistically promoted hemostasis.These cryogels had high porosity(>94%),rapid water absorption rate(<3 s),high blood absorption capacity(>2000%),outstanding mechanical strength,and fatigue resistance.Moreover,the results of cytotoxicity and hemolysis demonstrated that the cryogels had good biocompatibility.Notably,the PAA/CS cryogels exhibited superior whole blood coagulation ability and red blood cell and platelet adhesion ability compared to those of commercial hemostatic dressing(gauze,gelatin sponges,and CS sponges).Based on these results,mouse femoral artery hemorrhage models and liver hemorrhage models were prepared to investigate the hemostatic ability of the prepared PAA/CS cryogels.Results suggested that the hemostatic ability of PAA5/CS cryogels was superior to that of commercial hemostatic materials.Therefore,the PAA/CS cryogels showed potential application in preventing massive hemorrhage from arteries and visceral organs. | SHI MingYue JIANG LiJie YU ChaoJie DONG XiaoRu YU QingYu YAO MengMeng HE ShaoShuai YUE ZhiWei YAO FangLian ZHANG Hong SUN Hong LI JunJie | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,5: | 1 |
