| 1 | Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). | 3 | Settling behavior of spherical particles in vertical annulus:Experimental study and model development显示文摘Coiled tubing(CT)drilling technology offers significant advantages in terms of cost and efficiency for exploitations of unconventional oil and gas resources.However,the development of CT drilling technol-ogy is restricted by cuttings accumulation in the wellbore due to non-rotation of the drill string and limited circulating capacity.Cuttings cleaning becomes more difficult with the wall resistance of pipe-wellbore annulus on the cutting transport.Accurate description of particle transport process in the pipe-wellbore annulus is,therefore,important for improving the wellbore cleanliness.In this study,high-speed cam-era is used to record and analyze the settling process of particles in the transparent annulus filled with power-law fluids.A total of 540 tests were carried out,involving dimensionless diameters of 0.10-0.95 and particle Reynolds Numbers of 0.01-12.97,revealing the effect of the dimensionless diameter and particle Reynolds number on the annulus wall effect,and the wall factor model with an average relative error of2.75%was established.In addition,a dimensionless parameter,Archimedes number,independent of the settling velocity,was introduced to establish an explicit model of the settling velocity of spherical particles in the vertical annulus,with the average relative error of 7.89%.Finally,a calculation example was provided to show how to use the explicit model of settling velocity in annulus.The results of this study are expected to provide guidance for field engineers to improve the wellbore cleanliness of coiled tubing drilling. | Zhaopeng Zhu Mengmeng Zhou Xianzhi Song Shuo Zhu Gensheng Li Zhengming Xu Xuezhe Yao Buwen Yu | 2022 | Particuology2022,20,9: | 2 |
| 4 | Adverse Effect of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease on the Therapeutic Response in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B显示文摘Background and Aims:The impact of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)on the treatment outcome of chronic hepatitis B(CHB)is undefined and deserves an in-depth investigation.Methods:Histologically-proven CHB receiving first-line antiviral regimens as initial therapy was enrolled and grouped by the concurrence of NAFLD,and followed up at six monthly intervals.Therapeutic response related data were recorded and compared at multiple time points.Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analyses were utilized to estimate the impact of NAFLD on complete virological response(CVR).Results:We enrolled 267 patients(CHB:164;CHB with NAFLD:103)with comparable follow-up durations.They were also comparable in baseline HBV DNA levels and HBeAg positivity.Patients with concomitant NAFLD showed less significant decline in HBV DNA,qHBsAg,pgRNA,and liver enzyme levels over time;moreover,their cumulative incidences of CVR were significantly lower and that of low-level viremia(LLV)were significantly higher at 6,12,18,24 months.First CVR of CHB was delayed with the presence NAFLD(11.0 vs.7.0 months,p<0.001)and further prolonged with higher grade of liver steatosis(Grade 2–3 vs.1:13.0 vs.9.0 months).On multivariate analysis,HBeAg positivity(HR:0.650,p=0.036),grade of steatosis(G2[HR:0.447,p=0.004];G3[HR:0.085,p=0.002])and HBV DNA(log10 IU/mL)(HR:0.687,p<0.001)were significantly associated with delayed CVR,whereas grade of necroinflammation(HR:1.758,p<0.001)accelerated the CVR.Conclusions:In CHB patients receiving initial antiviral therapy,NAFLD was associated with higher levels of HBV DNA,pgRNA,and liver enzymes,and higher incidence of LLV and delayed CVR. | Siyu Zhang Xiaoxiao Zhang Huiming Jin Yao Dou Lu Li Xiwei Yuan Chen Dong Mengmeng Hou Yue-min Nan Jia Shang | 2023 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,1: | 1 |
| 5 | Hierarchical porous nitrogen,oxygen,and phosphorus ternary doped hollow biomass carbon spheres for high-speed and long-life potassium storage显示文摘Limited lithium resources have promoted the exploration of new battery technologies.Among them,potassium-ion batteries are considered as promising alternatives.At present,commercial graphite and other carbon-based materials have shown good prospects as anodes for potassium-ion batteries.However,the volume expansion and structural collapse caused by periodic K+insertion/extraction have severely restricted further development and application of potassium-ion batteries.A hollow biomass carbon ball(NOP-PB)ternarily doped with N,O,and P was synthesized and used as the negative electrode of a potassium-ion battery.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy,and transmission electron microscopy confirmed that the hollow biomass carbon spheres were successfully doped with N,O,and P.Further analysis proved that N,O,and P ternary doping expands the interlayer distance of the graphite surface and introduces more defect sites.DFT calculations simultaneously proved that the K adsorption energy of the doped structure is greatly improved.The solid hollow hierarchical porous structure buffers the volume expansion of the potassium insertion process,maintains the original structure after a long cycle and promotes the transfer of potassium ions and electrons.Therefore,the NOP‐PB negative electrode shows extremely enhanced electrochemical performance,including high specific capacity,excellent long‐term stability,and good rate stability. | Mengmeng Yang Qingquan Kong Wei Feng Weitang Yao Qingyuan Wang | 2022 | Carbon Energy2022,4,1: | 1 |
| 6 | A robust polyacrylic acid/chitosan cryogel for rapid hemostasis显示文摘Currently,it is a challenge to develop hemostatic materials with high water absorption capacity and anti-fatigue properties for quickly preventing massive hemorrhage from arteries and visceral organs.A series of polyacrylic acid/chitosan(PAA/CS)cryogels were prepared by a cryostructurization technique to improve mechanical performance and hemostatic efficiency of chitosan(CS).In this system,the chemically cross-linked PAA network was used as a framework to improve water absorption behaviors and mechanical strength.The CS network was co-blended by hydrogen bonding and electrostatic interactions,both of which synergistically promoted hemostasis.These cryogels had high porosity(>94%),rapid water absorption rate(<3 s),high blood absorption capacity(>2000%),outstanding mechanical strength,and fatigue resistance.Moreover,the results of cytotoxicity and hemolysis demonstrated that the cryogels had good biocompatibility.Notably,the PAA/CS cryogels exhibited superior whole blood coagulation ability and red blood cell and platelet adhesion ability compared to those of commercial hemostatic dressing(gauze,gelatin sponges,and CS sponges).Based on these results,mouse femoral artery hemorrhage models and liver hemorrhage models were prepared to investigate the hemostatic ability of the prepared PAA/CS cryogels.Results suggested that the hemostatic ability of PAA5/CS cryogels was superior to that of commercial hemostatic materials.Therefore,the PAA/CS cryogels showed potential application in preventing massive hemorrhage from arteries and visceral organs. | SHI MingYue JIANG LiJie YU ChaoJie DONG XiaoRu YU QingYu YAO MengMeng HE ShaoShuai YUE ZhiWei YAO FangLian ZHANG Hong SUN Hong LI JunJie | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,5: | 1 |
| 7 | Propagation properties of foreshock cavitons: Cluster observations显示文摘Foreshock cavitons are transient phenomena observed in the terrestrial foreshock region.They are characterized by a simultaneous depression of magnetic field magnitude and plasma density,which are bounded with enhancements of these two parameters and surrounded by ultralow frequency(ULF)waves.Previous studies focused on the interplanetary magnetic field(IMF)conditions,solar wind(SW)conditions,and the growth of the foreshock waves related to the generation of foreshock cavitons.Previously,a multipoint spacecraft analysis method using Cluster data was applied to analyze only two foreshock cavitons,and this method did not consider uncertainties.In this study,multipoint spacecraft analysis methods,including the timing method,the minimum directional derivative(MDD)method,and the spatiotemporal difference(STD)method are applied to determine the velocity in both spacecraft and solar wind frames.The propagation properties show good agreement with previous results from simulations and observations that most cavitons move sunward in the solar wind frame,with the velocities larger than the Alfvén speed.The propagation properties of foreshock cavitons support the formation mechanism of cavitons in previous simulations,which suggested that cavitons are formed due to the nonlinear evolution of compressive ULF waves.We find that there is clear decreasing trend between the size of cavitons and their velocity in the solar wind frame.In addition,the timing method considering errors has been applied to study the evolution properties by comparing the velocities with errors of the leading and trailing edges,and we identify three stable cavitons and one contracting caviton,which has not been studied before.Most cavitons should remain stable when they travel toward the Earth’s bow shock.The relationship between the size of foreshock cavitons and their distance from the bow shock is also discussed. | WANG MengMeng YAO ShuTao SHI QuanQi ZHANG Hui TIAN AnMin DEGELING Alexander William ZHANG Shuai GUO RuiLong SUN WeiJie LIU Ji BAI ShiChen SHEN XiaoChen ZHU XiaoQiong FU SuiYan PU ZuYin | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,1: | 1 |
| 8 | Tyramine-enhanced zwitterion hyaluronan hydrogel coating for anti-fouling and anti-thrombosis显示文摘Zwitterions have aroused much interest to endow implantable medical devices with anti-fouling and anti-thrombosis performance,due to their ability to form a hydrated layer that can provide a good barrier against protein and cell adhesion. Herein,tyramine modified sulfobetaine-derived sodium hyaluronan(HST) hydrogel coating was fabricated, in which hyaluronan(HA)was used as polysaccharide skeleton to graft zwitterionic sulfobetaine, and tyramine was introduced as crosslinker to construct both the network of hydrogel and a strong covalent bond between coating and substrate. Hydrogel coating was prepared by spin coating or painting HST prepolymer solution under ultraviolet light irradiation. The obtained HST hydrogel coating shows good stability. Moreover, in addition to its outstanding anti-fouling performance and good biocompatibility, it can effectively prevent thrombosis in blood circulation ex vivo. | 9 | Pacific decadal oscillation impact on East China precipitation and its imprint in new geological documents显示文摘This paper briefly introduces the history of the study of the Pacific decadal oscillation(PDO) and explores the relationship between the PDO and sediment grain size from two typical sediment cores from the lower Changjiang(Yangtze River) and Huanghe(Yellow River) estuaries. It is found that the median grain sizes of both cores exhibit relatively high correlation with the PDO. This is because the PDO causes interdecadal variability of precipitation in the East Asia Monsoon region, thus changing the hydrodynamics in both the Changjiang and Huanghe catchments, eventually resulting in variation of sediment grain size. Our analysis also revealed that during different phases of the PDO, the sediment grain size of the Changjiang and Huanghe estuaries showed different variations in cold and warm PDO phases. This is related to movement of the precipitation center driven by the shift in different PDO phases. Moreover, we compared more high resolution geological proxies with the PDO, including stalagmites and tree rings, in East China over the past century. The results indicate that variations of studied geological proxies are generally well correlated with the PDO but have some differences. Finally, longer variations of sediment grain sizes in the Changjiang and Huanghe estuaries are compared with a reconstructed PDO over the last 200 years;sediment grain sizes were still correlated with the PDO, implying that sediment grain size may be used as a new proxy for studying the long-term behavior of the PDO. This result supports previous knowledge of the PDO impact on East China climate evolution and offers a new proxy for further PDO study. | 16 | Prenatal Diagnosis of Dystrophinopathy and Cytogenetic Analysis in 303 Chinese Families显示文摘Objective:This study was to supply information of the Duchenne muscular dystrophy(DMD)mutational spectrum in 303 Chinese families and further offer 5-year clinical experience of DMD/Becker muscular dystrophy genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis.Methods:In this retrospective cohort study,three hundred and five pregnancies in 303 pregnant women who has a birth history of DMD/Becker muscular dystrophy patients underwent prenatal diagnosis using multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification followed by Sanger sequencing between January 2014 and December 2018 at Peking Union Medical College Hospital.The mean age of pregnant women was(33.0±4.1)years old.Karyotype analysis was performed to exclude fetal abnormal karyotype.Results:The detection rate of DMD gene mutation in 303 probands was(296/303)97.7%with seven families having a negative genetic diagnosis.The mutational spectrum comprised of large arrangements in 288/303(95.0%)and small mutations in 8/303(2.6%).Carrier testing was performed among 204 pregnant women among whom,108 mothers had the same mutation as family proband.Of the 305 pregnancies underwent prenatal diagnosis,55 of 173 male fetuses were affected.We also performed karyotype analysis and found three abnormal karyotypes of trisomy 21.We even found a fetus with DMD gene mutation and trisomy 21 in a same fetus by further analysis.We also identified two times of germline mosaicism.Conclusion:This study demonstrated the distribution and mutation profile of 303 probands and 305 fetuses.Furthermore,considering the possbility of maternl germilne mosaicism,prenatal diagnosis should be suggested to mothers with a proband whether they carry the causative mutation in their blood or not. | Mengmeng Li Na Hao Fengxia Yao Weimin Zhang Jing Zhou Li Tan Zhengqing Qiu Juntao Liu | 2021 | Maternal-Fetal Medicine2021,3,4: | 0 |
