| 1 | SHRIMP zircon U-Pb ages and tectonic implications for Indosinian granitoids of southern Zhuguangshan granitic composite, South China显示文摘The large southern Zhuguangshan granitic batholith composite consists of granites with ages varying from the Caledonian through Indosinian to Yanshanian. Based on K-Ar dating data, the ages of the major parts of this composite were previously regarded as Yanshanian. In this study, the SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating method has been adopted for six plutons, Ledong, Longhuashan, Dawozi, Zhaidi, Baiyun and Jiangnan, in the southern Zhuguangshan composite, in which the four plutons other than Baiyun and Jiangnan were previously regarded as Yanshanian granites. Magmatic zircons from these six plutons, dated by this study, have yielded ages of 239±5 Ma (MSWD = 2.5), 239±5 Ma (MSWD = 2.5), 239±2 Ma (MSWD = 1.7), 239±4 Ma (MSWD = 3.2), 231±2 Ma (MSWD = 0.81) and 231±3 Ma (MSWD = 1.8), respectively. The results indicate that these plutons were formed by early Indosinian magmatism. Geochemical characteristics suggest that these granites were formed in an extensional tectonic environment. | 2 | Prediction of Primary Climate Variability Modes at the Beijing Climate Center显示文摘Climate variability modes, usually known as primary climate phenomena, are well recognized as the most important predictability sources in subseasonal–interannual climate prediction. This paper begins by reviewing the research and development carried out, and the recent progress made, at the Beijing Climate Center(BCC) in predicting some primary climate variability modes. These include the El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO), Madden–Julian Oscillation(MJO), and Arctic Oscillation(AO), on global scales, as well as the sea surface temperature(SST) modes in the Indian Ocean and North Atlantic, western Pacific subtropical high(WPSH), and the East Asian winter and summer monsoons(EAWM and EASM, respectively), on regional scales. Based on its latest climate and statistical models, the BCC has established a climate phenomenon prediction system(CPPS) and completed a hindcast experiment for the period 1991–2014. The performance of the CPPS in predicting such climate variability modes is systematically evaluated. The results show that skillful predictions have been made for ENSO, MJO, the Indian Ocean basin mode, the WPSH, and partly for the EASM, whereas less skillful predictions were made for the Indian Ocean Dipole(IOD) and North Atlantic SST Tripole, and no clear skill at all for the AO, subtropical IOD, and EAWM. | 7 | Immersing Treatment of Steel Plate Surface in Steel-Aluminum Solid to Liquid Bonding显示文摘The interfacial status of the steel-aluminum solid to liquid bonding plates (their steel plate surfaces were or were not immersed in flux aqueous solution) were measured by using SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and X-ray diffraction . The results showed that the layer of flux (the minimum thickness was 15 μm on the steel plate surface) could protect the steel plate surface from oxidizing effectively at high temperature in solid to liquid bonding. The melt temperatUre of the flux should be lower than 580 ℃ so that it could be melted and removed completely. | 10 | Multifunctional oxygen-enriching nano-theranostics for cancer-specific magnetic resonance imaging and enhanced photodynamic/photothermal therapy显示文摘The combination of photodynamic therapy(PDT)and photothermal therapy(PTT)has attracted much interest in recent years,but non-specific distribution of photosensitizers and intrinsic tumor hypoxic microenvironment have continued to limit its therapeutic efficiency.We herein report a nano-theranostic system,denoted as Ce6-CuS/MSN@PDA@MnO2-FA NPs,which combines PDT,PTT,magnetic resonance(MR)imaging with hypoxia-relieving and tumor-targeting functionalities.Central to this design is the use of mussel-inspired polydopamine(PDA)coating to encapsulate the chlorin e6(Ce6)and copper sulfide nanoparticles(CuS NPs)loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticle(MSN)core.The PDA coating not only acts as pH sensitive gatekeeper to prevent the premature release of Ce6 under non-acidic tumor microenvironment(TME),but also facilitates post-functionalization so that hypoxia-relieving MnO2 nano-sheets and tumor-targeting ligand folic acid-PEG-thiol(FA-PEG-SH)can be decorated on the outer part of the drug system.In vitro and in vivo measurements clearly demonstrated that all these functionalities worked synergistically as expected.The system,having a low dark cytotoxicity,can be effectively internalized by 4T1 cells and decrease the cell viability to 2%upon 660 nm/808 nm laser irradiation.Tumors in 4T1 tumor-bearing mice can almost be completely destroyed in 2 weeks via combined PDT/PTT.Together with the TME-sensitive MR imaging performance demonstrated,Ce6-CuS/MSN@PDA@MnO2-FA NPs represent a multifunctional prototype which holds great potential to be developed into clinical theranostics. | Li Zhang Zhe Yang Jinghua Ren Li Ba Wenshan He Chun-Yuen Wong | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,5: | 1 |

| 14 | Effects of continuous cooling rate on morphology of granular bainite in pipeline steels显示文摘The morphology and characteristics of granular bainite (GB) in pipeline steels at different continuous cooling rates were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and electron back-scattered diffraction (EBSD). The results show that the morphology of ferrite matrix in GB turned from the lath sheaf structure into the nearly equiaxed large grain with the cooling rate decreasing from high (60℃/s) to low (5-10℃/s). At the medium cooling rate (20-40℃/s), GB consisted of the irregular ferrite matrix, the granular martensite/austenite (M/A) constituents and abundant substructures inside. The formation of the irregular ferrite and substructure was attributed to the high-temperature recovery which occurred at relatively high-temperature stage before phase transformation. The granular morphology of M/A constitu-ents was formed from the carbon-rich triple junctions which were produced by the multidirectional substructure interfaces converged with each other. | 19 | Post-marketing Surveillance for Combined Oral Contraceptive Containing Desogestrel(Marvelon~) in Chinese Rural Areas显示文摘Objective To assess the side effects and the continuation rate of combined oral contraceptive(COC) containing desogestrel(Marvelon) during 12 months. Methods This was a post-marketing surveillance study on Marvelon COC among 870 healthy rural women in 5 different counties of Jiangsu Province during 12 months. Results About 24.02% of the women who used Marvelon COC experienced side effects during 12 months. Gastrointestinal disorder,bleeding/spotting and chloasma were ranked the first three in the side effects. The rate of side effects of Marvelon COC users during the first 3 months in southern area of Jiangsu was significantly higher than that of users in northern area of Jiangsu. Most of the users did not experience obvious weight changes i.e.,loss or increase in weight of more than 5 kg during 12 months. Blood pressure and biochemical indicators of almost 99% amongusers were within the normal range. The gross cumulative continuation rate for 12 months was 83.14%;the most common medical reason for discontinuation was gastrointestinal disorder. There was an increased risk of discontinuation use among women with lower educational level.
