3An improved semi-implicit direct kinetics method for transient analysis of nuclear reactors显示文摘Semi-implicit direct kinetics(SIDK)is an innovative method for the temporal discretization of neutronic equations proposed by J.Banfield.The key approximation of the SIDK method is to substitute a timeaveraged quantity for the fission source term in the delayed neutron differential equations.Hence,these equations are decoupled from prompt neutron equations and an explicit analytical representation of precursor groups is obtained,which leads to a significant reduction in computational cost.As the fission source is not known in a time step,the original study suggested using a constant quantity pertaining to the previous time step for this purpose,and a reduction in the size of the time step was proposed to lessen the imposed errors.However,this remedy notably diminishes the main advantage of the SIDK method.We discerned that if the original method is properly introduced into the algorithm of the point-implicit solver along with some modifications,the mentioned drawbacks will be mitigated adequately.To test this idea,a novel multigroup,multi-dimensional diffusion code using the finitevolume method and a point-implicit solver is developed which works in both transient and steady states.In addition to the SIDK,two other kinetic methods,i.e.,direct kinetics and higher-order backward discretization,are programmed into the diffusion code for comparison with the proposed model.The final code is tested at different conditions of two well-known transient benchmark problems.Results indicate that while the accuracy of the improved SIDK is closely comparable with the best available kinetic methods,it reduces the total time required for computation by up to 24%.Roozbeh Vadi Kamran Sepanloo 2019Nuclear Science and Techniques2019,30,11:3
4Low-temperature Magnesiothermic Synthesis of Mesoporous Silicon Carbide from an MCM-48/Polyacrylamide Nanocomposite Precursor显示文摘Mesoporous silicon carbide with high specific surface area was successfully synthesized from an MCM-48/ polyacrylamide nanocomposite precursor in the temperature range of 550—600℃(below the melting point of Mg) by means of a magnesiothermic reduction process.The MCM-48/polyacrylamide precursor nanocomposite was prepared by in-situ polymerization of acrylamide monomer in the presence of mesoporous MCM-48 synthesized by sol-gel method.The physicochemical properties and microstructures of the nanocomposite precursor and the low-temperature SiC product were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), differential scanning calorimetry-thermo gravimetric analysis(DSC-TGA),transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and N_2 adsorption—desorption.TEM micrographs and Brunauer—Emmett—Teller(BET) gas adsorption studies showed that the SiC powder was nanocrystalline and had a specific surface area of 330 m^2/g and a mesoporosity in the range of 2—10 nm.The presence of an exothermic peak in the DSC trace corresponds to the self-combustion process of the SiC magnesiothermic synthesis.The results also show that the carbon in excess to that required to produce SiC plays a role in the reduction of the SiO_2.The mechanism of magnesiothermic synthesis of mesoporous SiC is discussed.Zahra Saeedifar Amir Abbas Nourbakhsh Roozbeh Javad Kalbasi Ebrahim Karamian 2013Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,3:3
5Separation of methane from different gas mixtures using modified silicon carbide nanosheet: Micro and macro scale numerical studies显示文摘This research discusses the separation of methane gas from three different gas mixtures,CH4/H2 S,CH4/N2 and CH4/CO2,using a modified silicon carbide nanosheet(Si CNS)membrane using both molecular dynamics(MD)and computational fluid dynamics(CFD)methods.The research examines the effects of different structures of the Si CNSs on the separation of these gas mixtures.Various parameters including the potential of the mean force,separation factor,permeation rate,selectivity and diffusivity are discussed in detail.Our MD simulations showed that the separation of CH4/H2 S,and CH4/CO2 mixtures was successful,while simulation demonstrated a poor result for the CH4/N2 mixture.The effect of temperature on the diffusivity of gas is also discussed,and a correlation is introduced for diffusivity as a function of temperature.The evaluated value for diffusivity is then used in the CFD method to investigate the permeation rate of gas mixtures.Golchehreh Bayat Roozbeh Saghatchi Jafar Azamat Alireza Khataee 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,5:2
6A framework for multi-robot motion planning from temporal logic specifications显示文摘We propose a framework for the coordination of a network of robots with respect to formal requirement specifications expressed in temporal logics.A regular tessellation is used to partition the space of interest into a union of disjoint regular and equal cells with finite facets,and each cell can only be occupied by a robot or an obstacle.Each robot is assumed to be equipped with a finite collection of continuous-time nonlinear closed-loop dynamics to be operated in.The robot is then modeled as a hybrid automaton for capturing the finitely many modes of operation for either staying within the current cell or reaching an adjacent cell through the corresponding facet.By taking the motion capabilities into account,a bisimilar discrete abstraction of the hybrid automaton can be constructed.Having the two systems bisimilar,all properties that are expressible in temporal logics such as Linear-time Temporal Logic,Computation Tree Logic,and μ -calculus can be preserved.Motion planning can then be performed at a discrete level by considering the parallel composition of discrete abstractions of the robots with a requirement specification given in a suitable temporal logic.The bisimilarity ensures that the discrete planning solutions are executable by the robots.For demonstration purpose,a finite automaton is used as the abstraction and the requirement specification is expressed in Computation Tree Logic.The model checker Cadence SMV is used to generate coordinated verified motion planning solutions.Two autonomous aerial robots are used to demonstrate how the proposed framework may be applied to solve coordinated motion planning problems.T.John KOO RongQing LI Michael M.QUOTTRUP Charles A.CLIFTON Roozbeh IZADI-ZAMANABADI Thomas BAK 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,7:2
