2Coupling behavior between adhesive and abrasive wear mechanism of aero-hydraulic spool valves显示文摘Leakage due to wear is one of the main failure modes of aero-hydraulic spool valves.This paper established a practical coupling wear model for aero-hydraulic spool valves based on dynamic system modelling theory. Firstly, the experiment for wear mechanism verification proved that adhesive wear and abrasive wear did coexist during the working process of spool valves. Secondly coupling behavior of each wear mechanism was characterized by analyzing actual timevariation of model parameters during wear evolution process. Meanwhile, Archard model and three-body abrasive wear model were utilized for adhesive wear and abrasive wear, respectively.Furthermore, their coupling wear model was established by calculating the actual wear volume.Finally, from the result of formal test, all the required parameters for our model were obtained.The relative error between model prediction and data of pre-test was also presented to verify the accuracy of model, which demonstrated that our model was useful for providing accurate prediction of spool valve's wear life.Chen Yunxia Gong Wenjun Kang Rui 2016Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2016,29,4:10
3Model-driven degradation modeling approaches:Investigation and review显示文摘The second law of thermodynamics implies that any animate and inanimate systems degrade and inevitably stops functioning.It is irreversible over time that can be labeled as‘‘the degradation arrow of time'.From perspective of products’reliability design,it is essential to build appropriate models of describing the degradation arrow of time.The current modeling approaches mainly include the model-driven(having assumed forms based on cognitive experience of mankind)and data-driven(using data learning techniques without form hypothesis)approaches.In this paper,we just investigate and review the model-driven degradation approaches,hoping to provide suggestions of the model construction or selection for scholars or engineers.First,for the single mechanism,degradation law models and stochastic process models are classified as separately depicting the tendency and fluctuation of degradation.For the degradation law model,we propose the concept of meta-models as original types for various personal models.For the stochastic process model,two main types including the non-monotonic and monotonical types are presented.Then,four multi-mechanism degradation types are discussed,that are competitive degradation,multi-stage degradation,coexistence of degradation and impact,and coexistence of degradation and failure.Besides,for the multi-performance degradation,independent and coupling models are introduced.The forms,connotations,applicability and insufficiency of these models are described with a series of examples from the literature and our own experiences.The final explicit suggestions about the potential future work are provided for the development of new degradation models.Rui KANG Wenjun GONG Yunxia CHEN 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,4:9
4Dynamic fracture toughness of TA15ELI alloy studied by instrumented impact test显示文摘The dynamic fracture toughness of TA15ELI alloy with two types of microstructures was studied by instrumented impact test.Charpy specimens with both the 0.2 mm U-notch and the a/W = 0.2 pre-crack were adopted to compare notch sensitivity in the two microstructures.The result shows that the specimen with Widmanst?tten microstructure exhibits a better dynamic fracture toughness and lower notch sensitivity than that with lath-like microstructure.Fracture surfaces in the case of the two microstructures are analyzed to have a ductile and brittle mixed feature under dynamic loading.The fracture surface of lath-like microstructure is composed of dimples and tear ridges,while that of Widmanst?tten microstructure is covered with rough block-like facets and dimples and tear ridges.The α phase boundaries and α/β interfaces act as locations for void nucleation and crack arrest and deviation.The decrease in width of α phase lamellae leads to the increase in the amount of boundaries and interfaces,which causes the increase in the consumption of impact energy and results in the improvement in dynamic fracture toughness.LIU Rui,HUI Songxiao,YE Wenjun,XIONG Baiqing,YU Yang,and FU Yanyan State Key Laboratory for Fabrication & Processing of Nonferrous Metals,General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals,Beijing 100088,China 2010Rare Metals2010,29,6:6
5The rising star in photovoltaics-perovskite solar cells: The past, present and future显示文摘Perovskite solar cell(PVSC), after its invention since 2009, has attracted tremendous attention from both academia and industry, because of its low cost, ease of manufacturing features and the sky-rocketing efficiencies being achieved within such a short period of time. Currently, the new efficiency record has reached 21.0%, comparable to that of the commercialized PV technologies developed for decades, such as multi-crystalline Si, CIGS and Cd Te thin film solar cells. It is very possible that PVSCs would one day step over the threshold of marketization, share or even overturn the current PV market dominated by crystalline-Si solar cells. However, there are still several obstacles to be overcome on the road towards PVSC industrialization. This paper has reviewed the brief developing history and the current research status of PVSCs, and explained: Why PVSCs are so important in the next-generation solar cells, why organometal halide perovskites work so well as light absorbers, and what the inherent differences are among different cell configurations. The prospects on how to realize scale-up industrialization of PVSCs have also been given in the sequence of efficiency, stability, cost, toxicity, and short-term objectives. 6Tensile and fracture properties of Ti-62A alloy plate with different microstructures显示文摘Ti-62A alloy plates with three different types of microstructure, fully equiaxed, bimodal, and Widmanst tten, were obtained by various heat treatments to investigate the effects of microstructure on the tensile and fracture properties at room temperature. The results reveal that Widmanst tten microstructure exhibits good damage tolerance behavior considering strength, fracture toughness, and fatigue crack growth behavior, while the bimodal microstructure shows good comprehensive properties considering the plasticity synthetically. 7Substantial transition to clean household energy mix in rural China显示文摘The household energy mix has significant impacts on human health and climate,as it contributes greatly to many health-and climate-relevant air pollutants.Compared to the well-established urban energy statistical system,the rural household energy statistical system is incomplete and is often associated with high biases.Via a nationwide investigation,this study revealed high contributions to energy supply from coal and biomass fuels in the rural household energy sector,while electricity comprised∼20%.Stacking(the use of multiple sources of energy)is significant,and the average number of energy types was 2.8 per household.Compared to 2012,the consumption of biomass and coals in 2017 decreased by 45%and 12%,respectively,while the gas consumption amount increased by 204%.Increased gas and decreased coal consumptions were mainly in cooking,while decreased biomass was in both cooking(41%)and heating(59%).The time-sharing fraction of electricity and gases(E&G)for daily cooking grew,reaching 69%in 2017,but for space heating,traditional solid fuels were still dominant,with the national average shared fraction of E&G being only 20%.The non-uniform spatial distribution and the non-linear increase in the fraction of E&G indicated challenges to achieving universal access to modern cooking energy by 2030,particularly in less-developed rural and mountainous areas.In some non-typical heating zones,the increased share of E&G for heating was significant and largely driven by income growth,but in typical heating zones,the time-sharing fraction was<5%and was not significantly increased,except in areas with policy intervention.The intervention policy not only led to dramatic increases in the clean energy fraction for heating but also accelerated the clean cooking transition.Higher income,higher education,younger age,less energy/stove stacking and smaller family size positively impacted the clean energy transition.Guofeng Shen Rui Xiong Yanlin Tian Zhihan Luo Bahabaike Jiangtulu Wenjun Meng Wei Du Jing Meng Yuanchen Chen Bing Xue Bin Wang Yonghong Duan Jia Duo Fenggui Fan Lei Huang Tianzhen Ju Fenggui Liu Shunxin Li Xianli Liu Yungui Li Mu Wang Ying Nan Bo Pan Yanfang Pan Lizhi Wang Eddy Zeng Chao Zhan Yilin Chen Huizhong Shen Hefa Cheng Shu Tao 2022National Science Review2022,9,7:4
8Distribution and sources of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and phthalic acid esters in water and surface sediment from the Three Gorges Reservoir显示文摘After the impoundment of the Three Gorges Reservoir(TGR), the hydrological situation of the reservoir has changed greatly. The concentration and distribution of typical persistent organic pollutants in water and sediment have also changed accordingly. In this study, the concentration, distribution and potential sources of 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) and 6 phthalic acid esters(PAEs) during the water drawdown and impoundment periods were investigated in water and sediment from the TGR. According to our results, PAHs and PAEs showed temporal and spatial variations. The mean ΣPAH and ΣPAE concentrations in water and sediment were both higher during the water impoundment period than during the water drawdown period. The water samples from the main stream showed larger ΣPAH concentration fluctuations than those from tributaries. Both the PAH and PAE concentrations meet the Chinese national water environmental quality standard(GB 3838-2002). PAH monomers with 2–3 rings and 4 rings were dominant in water, and 4-ring and 5–6-ring PAHs were dominant in sediment. Di-n-butyl phthalate(DBP) and di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate(DEHP)were the dominant PAE pollutants in the TGR. DBP and DEHP had the highest concentrations in water and sediment, respectively. The main source of PAHs in water from the TGR was petroleum and emissions from coal and biomass combustion, whereas the main sources of PAHs in sediments included coal and biomass combustion, petroleum, and petroleum combustion. 10Potential functions of esophageal cancer-related gene-4 in the cardiovascular system显示文摘Esophageal cancer-related gene-4(Ecrg4)is cloned from the normal epithelium of the esophagus.It is constitutively expressed in quiescent epithelial cells and downregulated during tumorigenesis,and Ecrg4 expression levels are inversely correlated with the malignant phenotype of tumor cells,validating that Ecrg4 is a real tumor suppressor gene.Unlike other tumor suppressor genes that usually encode membrane or intracellular proteins,Ecrg4 encodes a 148-amino acid pre-pro-peptide that is tethered on the cell surface in epithelial cells,specialized epithelial cells,and human leukocytes,where it can be processed tissue dependently into several small peptides upon cell activation.Ecrg4 is expressed in a wide variety of other cells/tissues,including cardiomyocytes and conduction system of the heart,,the glomus cells of the carotid body,adrenal glands,choroid plexus,and leukocytes among others,where it exerts distinct functions,such as promoting/suppressing inflammation,inducing neuron senescence,stimulating the hypothalamus--pituitary--adrenal axis,maintaining the stemness of stem cells,participating in the rhythm and rate control of the heart,and possibly gauging the responsiveness of the cardiovascular system(CVS)to hypoxia,in addition to tumor suppression.Here,we briefly review the latest discoveries on Ecrg4 and its underlying molecular mechanisms as a tumor suppressor and focus on the emerging roles of Ecrg4 in the CVS.Rui Zhou Yuanshu Liu Wenjun Huang Xitong Dan 2019Frontiers of Medicine2019,13,6:2
11Laparoscopic vs.open surgery for gastrointestinal stromal tumors of esophagogastric junction:A multicenter,retrospective cohort analysis with propensity score weighting显示文摘Objective:Laparoscopic resection is increasingly performed for gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs).However,the laparoscopic approach for GISTs located in the esophagogastric junction(EGJ-GIST)is surgically challenging.This study compares the efficacy of laparoscopic surgery and the open procedure for EGJ-GIST through the propensity score weighting(PSW)method.Methods:Between April 2006 and April 2018,1,824 surgical patients were diagnosed with primary gastric GIST at four medical centers in South China.Of these patients,228 were identified as EGJ-GISTs and retrospectively reviewed clinicopathological characteristics,operative information,and long-term outcomes.PSW was used to create the balanced cohorts.Results:PSW was carried out in laparoscopic and open-surgery cohorts according to year of surgery,sex,age,body mass index(BMI),tumor size,mitotic rates and recurrence risk.After PSW,438 patients consisting of 213 laparoscopic(L group)and 225 open surgery(O group)patients were enrolled.After PSW,the following measures in the L group were superior to those in the O group:median operative time[interquartile range(IQR)]:100.0(64.5-141.5)vs.149.0(104.0-197.5)min,P<0.001;median blood loss(IQR):30.0(10.0-50.0)vs.50.0(20.0-100.0)mL,P=0.002;median time to liquid intake(IQR):3.0(2.0-4.0)vs.4.0(3.0-5.0)d,P<0.001;median hospital stay(IQR):6.0(4.0-8.0)vs.7.0(5.0-12.0)d,P<0.001;and postoperative complications(10.3%vs.22.7%,P=0.001).The median follow-up was 55(range,2-153)months in the entire cohort.No significant differences were detected in either relapse-free survival(RFS)[hazard ratio(HR):0.372,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.072-1.910,P=0.236]or overall survival(OS)(HR:0.400,95%CI:0.119-1.343,P=0.138)between the two groups.Conclusions:Laparoscopic surgery for EGJ-GIST is associated with the advantages of shorter operative time,reduced blood loss,shorter time to liquid intake,and shorter length of stay,all without compromising postoperative outcomes and long-term survival.Wenjun Xiong Yuting Xu Tao Chen Xingyu Feng Rui Zhou Jin Wan Yong Li Guoxin Li Wei Wang 2021Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,1:2

14Differential DNA methylation profiles of human B lymphocytes and Epstein-Barr virus-immortalized B lymphocytes显示文摘Objective: This study aimed to comprehensively assess Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)-induced methylation alterations of B cell across whole genome.Methods: We compared DNA methylation patterns of primary B cells and corresponding lymphoblastoid cell lines(LCLs) from eight participants. The genome-wide DNA methylation profiles were compared at over 850,000 genome-wide methylation sites.Results: DNA methylation analysis revealed 87,732 differentially methylated Cp G sites, representing approximately 12.41% of all sites in LCLs compared to primary B cells. The hypermethylated and hypomethylated Cp G sites were about 22.75% or 77.25%, respectively. Only 0.8% of hypomethylated sites and 4.5% of hypermethylated sites were located in Cp G islands, whereas 8.0% of hypomethylated sites and 16.3% of hypermethylated sites were located in shore(N_shore and S_shore). Using principal component analysis of the DNA methylation profiles, primary B cells and LCLs could be accurately predicted.
