| 1 | Analysis of railway subgrade frost heave deformation based on GPS显示文摘In order to analyze the connection between the railway subgrade frost heave deformation and temperature variation, five GPS stations' data were used to monitor the deformation on a certain section of railway subgrade in northeast China. GAMIT software is used to process the data, providing daily solution, daytime solution and nighttime solution. Vertical trends of these five stations were analyzed to investigate frost heave effect on railway subgrade deformation. | 6 | Effect of blade tip geometry on tip leakage vortex dynamics and cavitation pattern in axial-flow pump显示文摘A series of blade tip geometries, including original plain tip, rounded tip on the pressure side and diverging tip towards the suction side, were adopted to investigate the effect of blade geometry on tip leakage vortex dynamics and cavitation pattern in an axial-flow pump. On the basis of the computation, it clearly shows the flow structure in the clearance for different tip configurations by the detailed data of axial velocity and turbulent kinetic energy. The in-plain trajectory, in aspects of the angle between the blade suction side and vortex core and the initial point of tip leakage vortex, was presented using the maximum swirling strength method. The most striking feature is that the inception location of tip leakage vortex is delayed for chamfered tip due to the change of blade loading on suction side. Some significant non-dimensional parameters, such as pressure, swirling strength and turbulent kinetic energy, were used to depict the characteristics of tip vortex core. By the distribution of circumferential vorticity which dominates the vortical flows near the tip region, it is observed that the endwall detachment as the leakage flow meets the mainstream varies considerably for tested cases. The present study also indicates that the shear layer feeds the turbulence into tip leakage vortex core, but the way is different. For the chamfered tip, high turbulence level in vortex core is mainly from the tip clearance where large turbulent kinetic energy emerges, while it is almost from a layer extending from the suction side corner for rounded tip. METHODS: Effects of COPADG on Eca-109 cells cultured in RPMI 1640 medium were examined by a tetrazoliumbased colorimetric assay (MTT assay). RESULTS: COPADG inhibited the growth of Eca-109 cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner; the maximumin hibition rate was 83.75%. In this paper, a Bayesian network specifically for classification-restricted Bayesian classification networks is proposed. Combining dependency analysis between variables, classification accuracy evaluation criteria and a search algorithm, a learning method for restricted Bayesian classification networks is presented. | 12 | Response to climate change of different tree species and NDVI variation since 1923 in the middle arid region of Ningxia,China显示文摘The normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)is used extensively to describe vegetation cover and ecological environment change.The purpose of this study was to contrast the response of different tree species growing in the same habitat to climate change and retrieve past NDVI using tree-ring width data from tree cores collected from the transitional zone of Pinus tabulaeformis and Picea crassifolia in the Luoshan Mountains in the middle arid region of Ningxia.Correlation analysis indicated that radial growth of P.tabulaeformis is more sensitive to precipitation and temperature change than that of P.crassifolia.Natural factors such as water availability and heat at this elevation are more suited to the growth of P.crassifolia,and are more advantageous to its renewal and succession.P.crassifolia is probably the better of the two species for protecting the forest ecosystem and conserving water in the Luoshan desertification area.Ring width of P.crassifolia correlates significantly with average NDVI for April–May(r=0.641,p<0.01),and both of them are influenced positively by precipitation in April–May.The reconstructed NDVI for 1923–2007 shows the relatively low vegetation cover occurred in the 1920s–1930s,the1960s–1970s,and the early 21st century.The reconstructed NDVI better reflected the drought climate in the study area. | YaJun Wang RuiJie Lu YuZhen Ma HongWei Meng ShangYu Gao | 2014 | Research in Cold and Arid Regions2014,6,1: | 6 |
| 13 | Role of the Hippocampus in Distinct Memory Traces: Timing of Match and Mismatch Enhancement Revealed by Intracranial Recording显示文摘A previous functional magnetic resonance imaging study reported evidence for parallel memory traces in the hippocampus: a controlled match signal detecting matches to internally-generated goal states and an automatic mismatch signal identifying unpredicted perceptual novelty. However, the timing information in this process is unknown. In the current study, facilitated by the high spatial and temporal resolution of intracranial recording from human patients, we confirmed that the left posterior hippocampus played an important role in the goal match enhancement effect, in which combinations of object identity and location were involved. We also found that this effect happened within 520 ms to 735 ms after the probe onset, *150 ms later than the perceptual mismatch enhancement found bilaterally in both the anterior and posterior hippocampus. More specifically, the latency of the perceptual mismatch enhancement effect of the right hippocampus was positively correlated with the performance accuracy. These results suggested that the hippocampus is crucial in working memory if features binding with location are involved in the task and the goal match enhancement effect happens after perceptual mismatch enhancement, implying the dissociation of different components of working memory at the hippocampus. Moreover, single trial decoding results suggested that theintracranial field potential response in the right hippocampus can classify the match or switch task. | 15 | Effects of Structural Parameters on the Poisson’s Ratio and Compressive Modulus of 2D Pentamode Structures Fabricated by Selective Laser Melting显示文摘Metamaterials have been receiving an increasing amount of interest in recent years. As a type of metamaterial, pentamode materials (PMs) approximate the elastic properties of liquids. In this study, a finite-element analysis was conducted to predict the mechanical properties of PM structures by altering the thin wall thicknesses and layer numbers to obtain an outstanding load-bearing capacity. It was found that as the thin wall thickness increased from 0.15 to 0.45 mm, the compressive modulus of the PM structures increased and the Poisson’s ratio decreased. As the layer number increased, the Poisson’s ratio of the PM structures increased rapidly and reaches a stable value ranging from 0.50 to 0.55. Simulation results of the stress distribution in the PM structures confirmed that stress concentrations exist at the junctions of the thin walls and weights. For validation, Ti–6Al–4V specimens were fabricated by selective laser melting (SLM), and the mechanical properties of these specimens (i.e., Poisson’s ratio and elastic modulus) were experimentally studied. Good consistency was achieved between the numerical and experimental results. | 18 | Irregular LIPSS produced on metals by single linearly polarized femtosecond laser显示文摘Currently,supra-wavelength periodic surface structures(SWPSS)are only achievable on silica dielectrics and silicon by femtosecond(fs)laser ablation,while triangular and rhombic laser induced periodic surface structures(LIPSS)are achievable by circularly polarized or linear cross-polarized femtosecond laser.This is the first work to demonstrate the possibility of generating SWPSS on Sn and triangular and rhombic LIPSS on W,Mo,Ta,and Nb using a single linearly polarized femtosecond laser.We discovered,for the first time,SWPSS patches with each possessing its own orientation,which are completely independent of the light polarization direction,thus,breaking the traditional rules.Increasing the laser power enlarges SWPSS periods from 4–6μm to 15–25μm.We report a maximal period of 25μm,which is the largest period ever reported for SWPSS,~10 and~4 times the maximal periods(2.4μm/6.5μm)of SWPSS ever achieved by fs and ns laser ablation,respectively.The formation of triangular and rhombic LIPSS does not depend on the laser(power)or processing(scan interval and scan methodology)parameters but strongly depends on the material composition and is unachievable on other metals,such as Sn,Al,Ti,Zn,and Zr.This paper proposes and discusses possible mechanisms for molten droplet generation/spread/solidification,Marangoni convection flow for SWPSS formation,and linear-to-circular polarization transition for triangular and rhombic LIPSS formation.Reflectance and iridescence of as-prepared SWPSS and LIPSS are characterized.It was found that besides insufficient ablation on W,the iridescence density of Ta-,Mo-,Nb-LIPSS follows the sequence of melting temperatures:Ta>Mo>Nb,which indicates that the melting temperature of metals may affect the regularity of LIPSS.This work may inspire significant interest in further enriching the diversity of LIPSS and SWPSS. | Dongshi Zhang Ruijie Liu Zhuguo Li | 2022 | International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2022,4,1: | 4 |
| 19 | Effect of Chaiqinchengqi decoction on inositol requiring enzyme 1α in alveolar macrophages of dogs with acute necrotising pancreatitis induced by sodium taurocholate显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Chaiqinchengqi decoction(CQCQD) on inositol requiring enzyme 1α(IRE1α) in alveolar macrophages(AMs)of the dog model of acute necrotising pancreatitis(ANP) induced by sodium taurocholate.METHODS: Fifteen beagle dogs were randomised into a control group,ANP group and CQCQD group(n = 5 per group). ANP was induced by a retrograde duct injection of 50 mg/kg of 5% sodium taurocholate. The dogs in the control group received injections of the same volume of saline as the sodium taurocholate. After the models were induced,the dogs in the CQCQD group were administered 10 m L/kg CQCQD every 2 h for 6 h. Two hours after the last administration of either CQCQD or saline,they were sacrificed by anaesthesia. AMs were collected to determine the IRE1α and Interleukin-1β(IL-1β)m RNA and protein expression,and pancreatic tissues were collected for histopathology analysis.RESULTS: Compared with the ANP group,the m RNA and protein expression of IRE1α and the protein expression of IL-1β of AMs in the CQCQD group were significantly down-regulated,and the pancreatic histopathology score of the CQCQD group also was lower. | 20 | Numerical simulation and analysis of mechanized suppression process of seedbed with whole plastic film mulching on double ridges显示文摘In order to achieve the construction standard of high mechanized performance of the seedbed with whole plastic-film mulching on double ridges,in this study,the forms of suppression failure were analyzed,and the key factors influencing the suppression performance were determined based on the structure of the seedbed suppression device and its working principles.The discrete element method was adopted for numerical simulation on the suppression process of the seedbed with whole plastic film mulching on double ridges;the parameters during the interaction between the suppression device and seedbed soil were extracted and analyzed,such as contact area,sinkage and horizontal traction resistance trend of press wheels on big ridges and furrows of small ridge.Taking the suppression load on big ridges,suppression load on furrows of small ridge,and advancing velocity of the combined operation machine as the independent variables,qualified rate of suppression as the response value,a mathematical model between the test factors and qualified rate of suppression was established,to explore the influence sequence of the factors on suppression qualified rate.The optimal working parameters of the suppression device were finally obtained:the suppression load on big ridges was 40 N,suppression load on furrows of small ridge was 69.8 N and the machine advancing velocity was 0.98 m/s,and the achieved mean value of suppression qualified rate was 92.6%.Field verification test showed that the mean value of suppression qualified rate was 90.3%,a mere difference of 2.3%compared with the simulation result.The actual operation of the sample machine was basically consistent with the simulation process and could reveal the mechanized suppression operation mechanism of the seedbed with whole plastic film mulching on double ridges,indicating that the established DEM model and its parameter setting were relatively accurate and reasonable. | Fei Dai Xuefeng Song Wuyun Zhao Bugong Sun Ruijie Shi Yang Zhang | 2021 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,1: | 4 |
