1Estimation of reproduction numbers of COVID-19 in typical countries and epidemic trends under different prevention and control scenarios显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has become a life-threatening pandemic.The epidemic trends in different countries vary considerably due to different policy-making and resources mobilization.We calculated basic reproduction number(R0)and the time-varying estimate of the effective reproductive number(Rt)of COVID-19 by using the maximum likelihood method and the sequential Bayesian method,respectively.European and North American countries possessed higher (R0)and unsteady Rt fluctuations,whereas some heavily affected Asian countries showed relatively low (R0)and declining Rt now.The numbers of patients in Africa and Latin America are still low,but the potential risk of huge outbreaks cannot be ignored.Three scenarios were then simulated,generating distinct outcomes by using SEIR(susceptible,exposed,infectious,and removed)model.First,evidence-based prompt responses yield lower transmission rate followed by decreasing Rt.Second,implementation of effective control policies at a relatively late stage,in spite of huge casualties at early phase,can still achieve containment and mitigation.Third,wisely taking advantage of the time-window for developing countries in Africa and Latin America to adopt adequate measures can save more people’s life.Our mathematical modeling provides evidence for international communities to develop sound design of containment and mitigation policies for COVID-19.Chen Xu Yinqiao Dong Xiaoyue Yu Huwen Wang Lhakpa Tsamlag Shuxian Zhang Ruijie Chang Zezhou Wang Yuelin Yu Rusi Long Ying Wang Gang Xu Tian Shen Suping Wang Xinxin Zhang Hui Wang Yong Cai 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,5:8
2Phase-and epidemic region-adjusted estimation of the number of coronavirus disease 2019 cases in China显示文摘The outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 in China was first reported in Wuhan in December 2019 and gradually spread to other areas in China.After implementation of prevention and control measures,the estimation of the epidemic trend is needed.A phase-and region-adjusted SEIR model was applied for modeling and predicting the number of cases in Wuhan,Hubei Province and regions outside Hubei Province in China.The estimated number of infections could reach its peak in late February 2020 in Wuhan and Hubei Province,which is 55303–84520 and 83944–129312,respectively,while the epidemic peaks in regions outside Hubei Province in China could appear on February 13,2020 with the estimated 13035–19108 cases.According to the estimation,the outbreak would abate in March and April all over China.Current estimation provided evidence for planned work resumption under stringent prevention and control in China to further support the fight against the epidemic.Nevertheless,there is still possibility of the second outbreak brought by the work resumption and population migration,especially from Hubei Province and high intensity cities outside Hubei Province.Strict prevention and control measures still need to be considered in the regions with high intensity of epidemic and densely-populated cities.Ruijie Chang Huwen Wang Shuxian Zhang Zezhou Wang Yinqiao Dong Lhakpa Tsamlag Xiaoyue Yu Chen Xu Yuelin Yu Rusi Long Ning-Ning Liu Qiao Chu Ying Wang Gang Xu Tian Shen Suping Wang Xiaobei Deng Jinyan Huang Xinxin Zhang Hui Wang Yong Cai 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,2:2

4SUMOylation-triggered ALIX activation modulates extracellular vesicles circTLCD4-RWDD3 to promote lymphatic metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Lymph node(LN)metastasis is one of the predominant metastatic routes of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)and is considered as a leading cause for the unsatisfactory prognosis of patients.Although lymphangiogenesis is well-recognized as a crucial process in mediating LN metastasis,the regulatory mechanism involving lymphangiogenesis and LN metastasis in NSCLC remains unclear.In this study,we employed high-throughput sequencing to identify a novel circular RNA(circRNA),circTLCD4-RWDD3,which was significantly upregulated in extracellular vesicles(EVs)from LN metastatic NSCLC and was positively associated with deteriorated OS and DFS of patients with NSCLC from multicenter clinical cohort.Downregulating the expression of EV-packaged circTLCD4-RWDD3 inhibited lymphangiogenesis and LN metastasis of NSCLC both in vitro and in vivo.Mechanically,circTLCD4-RWDD3 physically interacted with hnRNPA2B1 and mediated the SUMO2 modification at K108 residue of hnRNPA2B1 by upregulating UBC9.Subsequently,circTLCD4-RWDD3-induced SUMOylated hnRNPA2B1 was recognized by the SUMO interaction motif(SIM)of ALIX and activated ALIX to recruit ESCRT-III,thereby facilitating the sorting of circTLCD4-RWDD3 into NSCLC cell-derived EVs.Moreover,EV-packaged circTLCD4-RWDD3 was internalized by lymphatic endothelial cells to activate the transcription of PROX1,resulting in the lymphangiogenesis and LN metastasis of NSCLC.Importantly,blocking EV-mediated transmission of circTLCD4-RWDD3 via mutating SIM in ALIX or K108 residue of hnRNPA2B1 inhibited the lymphangiogenesis and LN metastasis of NSCLC in vivo.Our findings reveal a precise mechanism underlying SUMOylated hnRNPA2B1-induced EV packaging of circTLCD4-RWDD3 in facilitating LN metastasis of NSCLC,suggesting that EV-packaged circTLCD4-RWDD3 could be a potential therapeutic target against LN metastatic NSCLC.Xiayao Diao Chao Guo Hanhao Zheng Ke Zhao Yuming Luo Mingjie An Yan Lin Jiancheng Chen Yuanlong Li Yuting Li Xuehan Gao Jiaqi Zhang Mengxin Zhou Wenliang Bai Lei Liu Guige Wang Lanjun Zhang Xiaotian He Rusi Zhang Zhihua Li Changhao Chen Shanqing Li 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,12:0
5Localization method of subsynchronous oscillation source based on high-resolution time-frequency distribution image and CNN显示文摘The penetration of new energy sources such as wind power is increasing,which consequently increases the occurrence rate of subsynchronous oscillation events.However,existing subsynchronous oscillation source-identification methods primarily analyze fixed-mode oscillations and rarely consider time-varying features,such as frequency drift,caused by the random volatility of wind farms when oscillations occur.This paper proposes a subsynchronous oscillation sourcelocalization method that involves an enhanced short-time Fourier transform and a convolutional neural network(CNN).First,an enhanced STFT is performed to secure high-resolution time-frequency distribution(TFD)images from the measured data of the generation unit ports.Next,these TFD images are amalgamated to form a subsynchronous oscillation feature map that serves as input to the CNN to train the localization model.Ultimately,the trained CNN model realizes the online localization of subsynchronous oscillation sources.The effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method are validated via multimachine system models simulating forced and natural oscillation events using the Power Systems Computer Aided Design platform.Test results show that the proposed method can localize subsynchronous oscillation sources online while considering unpredictable fluctuations in wind farms,thus providing a foundation for oscillation suppression in practical engineering scenarios.Hui Liu Yundan Cheng Yanhui Xu Guanqun Sun Rusi Chen Xiaodong Yu 2024Global Energy Interconnection2024,7,1:0
