1High throughput synthesis enabled exploration of CoCrFeNi-based high entropy alloys显示文摘To accelerate the exploration,screening,and discovery of structural high-entropy alloys with targeted properties,the newly developed High-Throughput Hot-Isostatic-Pressing based Micro-Synthesis Approach(HT-HIP-MSA)is employed to efficiently synthesize and characterize 85 combinatorial alloys in a 13-principal element alloying space.These Co Cr Fe Ni-based high entropy alloys span 1 quaternary,9 quinary,and 36 senary alloy systems,and their composition-structure-property relationships are characterized and analyzed experimentally and computationally.From the single-phase FCC CoCrFeNi alloy base,with Mn,Cu,Ti,Nb,Ta,Mo,W,Al,and Si as principal element alloying additions,we find(1)the extended Mn solubility in the single-phase FCC CoCrFeNi-Mn_(x) alloys,(2)the destabilizing behavior for most of the quinary and senary alloys,and(3)the distinctive solid-solution-strengthening effects in the alloys.In combining the computational methods,the HT-HIP-MSA can be systematic and economic to explore and refine the compositions,structures,and properties of structural high-entropy alloys.L.Zhao L.Jiang L.X.Yang H.Wang W.Y.Zhang G.Y.Ji X.Zhou W.A.Curtin X.B.Chen P.K.Liaw S.Y.Chen H.Z.Wang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,15:4

3Osteogenesis and angiogenesis of a bulk metallic glass for biomedical implants显示文摘Implantation is an essential issue in orthopedic surgery.Bulk metallic glasses(BMGs),as a kind of novel materials,attract lots of attentions in biological field owing to their comprehensive excellent properties.Here,we show that a Zr_(61)Ti_(2)Cu_(25)Al_(12)(at.%)BMG(Zr-based BMG)displays the best cytocompatibility,pronounced positive effects on cellular migration,and tube formation from in-vitro tests as compared to those of commercial-pure titanium and poly-ether-ether-ketone.The in-vivo micro-CT and histological evaluation demonstrate the Zr-based BMG can significantly promote a bone formation.Immunofluorescence tests and digital reconstructed radiographs manifest a stimulated effect on early blood vessel formation from the Zr-based BMG.Accordingly,the intimate connection and coupling effect between angiogenesis and osteogenesis must be effective during bone regeneration after implanting Zr-based BMG.Dynamic gait analysis in rats after implanting Zr-based BMG demonstrates a tendency to decrease the pain level during recovery,simultaneously,without abnormal ionic accumulation and inflammatory reactions.Considering suitable mechanical properties,we provide a realistic candidate of the Zr61Ti2Cu25Al12 BMG for biomedical applications.K.Sun R.Fu X.W.Liu L.M.Xu G.Wang S.Y.Chen Q.J.Zhai S.Pauly 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:1
