| 1 | Indocyanine Green Nanoparticles for Theranostic Applications显示文摘Theranostics is a concept that integrated imaging and therapy. As an emerging field, it embraces multiple techniques to arrive at an individualized treatment purpose. Indocyanine green(ICG) is a near infrared dye that has been approved by Food and Drug Administration(FDA) in USA for the use in indicator-dilution studies in humans. ICG nanoparticles(NPs) have attracted much attention for its potential applications in cancer theranostics. This review focuses on the preparation, application of ICG NPs for in vivo imaging(fluorescent imaging and photoacoustic imaging) and therapeutics(photothermal therapy, photodynamic therapy and photoacoustic therapy), and future directions based on recent developments in these areas. | 2 | Hsa-miR-1246, hsa-miR-320a and hsa-miR-196b-5p inhibitors can reduce the cytotoxicity of Ebola virus glycoprotein in vitro显示文摘Ebola virus(EBOV)causes a highly lethal hemorrhagic fever syndrome in humans and has been associated with mortality rates of up to 91%in Zaire,the most lethal strain.Though the viral envelope glycoprotein(GP)mediates widespread inflammation and cellular damage,these changes have mainly focused on alterations at the protein level,the role of microRNAs(miRNAs)in the molecular pathogenesis underlying this lethal disease is not fully understood.Here,we report that the miRNAs hsa-miR-1246,hsa-miR-320a and hsa-miR-196b-5p were induced in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)following expression of EBOV GP.Among the proteins encoded by predicted targets of these miRNAs,the adhesion-related molecules tissue factor pathway inhibitor(TFPI),dystroglycan1(DAG1)and the caspase 8 and FADD-like apoptosis regulator(CFLAR)were significantly downregulated in EBOV GP-expressing HUVECs.Moreover,inhibition of hsa-miR-1246,hsa-miR-320a and hsa-miR-196b-5p,or overexpression of TFPI,DAG1 and CFLAR rescued the cell viability that was induced by EBOV GP.Our results provide a novel molecular basis for EBOV pathogenesis and may contribute to the development of strategies to protect against future EBOV pandemics. | SHENG MiaoMiao ZHONG Ying CHEN Yang DU JianChao JU XiangWu ZHAO Chen ZHANG GuiGen ZHANG LiFang LIU KangTai YANG Ning XIE Peng LI DangSheng ZHANG Michael Q. | 5 | Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C. | 7 | Development of an Artificial Fish Swarm Algorithm Based on aWireless Sensor Networks in a Hydrodynamic Background显示文摘The main objective of the present study is the development of a new algorithm that can adapt to complex and changeable environments.An artificial fish swarm algorithm is developed which relies on a wireless sensor network(WSN)in a hydrodynamic background.The nodes of this algorithm are viscous fluids and artificial fish,while related‘events’are directly connected to the food available in the related virtual environment.The results show that the total processing time of the data by the source node is 6.661 ms,of which the processing time of crosstalk data is 3.789 ms,accounting for 56.89%.The total processing time of the data by the relay node is 15.492 ms,of which the system scheduling and the Carrier Sense Multiple Access(CSMA)rollback time of the forwarding is 8.922 ms,accounting for 57.59%.The total time for the data processing of the receiving node is 11.835 ms,of which the processing time of crosstalk data is 3.791 ms,accounting for 32.02%;the serial data processing time is 4.542 ms,accounting for 38.36%.Crosstalk packets occupy a certain amount of system overhead in the internal communication of nodes,which is one of the causes of node-level congestion.We show that optimizing the crosstalk phenomenon can alleviate the internal congestion of nodes to some extent. | Sheng Bai Feng Bao Fengzhi Zhao Miaomiao Liu | 2020 | Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2020,16,5: | 0 |
| 8 | A rice variety with a high straw biomass retained nitrogen and phosphorus without affecting soil bacterial species显示文摘It is well documented that rice paddy fields act as agricultural wetlands that remove or retain nutrients;however,their associated effects on soil microbial communities are rarely reported.The present study evaluates the impact of rice variety on nutrient removal via plant uptake,nutrient retention in the soil,and bacterial associations in rice paddy fields,using a network analysis that compares the soil bacterial communities of two rice varieties.We found that the high-straw rice variety(YD-1)allows uptake of a high amount of nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)from paddy rice fields via harvesting,but causes less residual total N and P to remain in the soil.However,both rice varieties(YD-1 and XS-134(Xiushui-134))had non-significant effects on the dominant bacterial taxa.The short-term response of bacterial community diversity to rice variety is found to be mainly due to less frequently recovered species.A network analysis that incorporates soil nutrients as nodes,along with bacterial taxa,found that only one node representing the total P related to the non-dominant species had an indirect association with the rice straw biomass.The observed short-term impact of the two rice varieties(XS-134 and YD-1)on soil bacterial diversity and nutrient surplus in these agricultural wetlands is limited under a high level of fertilization. | Xinqiang Liang Fayong Li Sheng Wang Guifen Hua Miaomiao He Guangming Tian Sangar Khan Ravin Poudel Karen A.Garrett | 2020 | Soil Ecology Letters2020,2,2: | 0 |
