| 1 | Water mass of the northward throughflow in the Bering Strait in the summer of 2003显示文摘The temperature and salinity data obtained by the Chinese national arctic research expedition (CHINARE2003) are used to study the water structure in the Bering Strait and ambient regions. Four water masses appeared in the research region: the intermediate Bering Sea water mass (IBWM), the Alaska coastal water (ACW), the Anadyr water (AW) and the Bering shelf water (BSW). The AW originates from the IBWM, but the upper layer water has been greatly altered. In the cruise on 28/29 July 2003, there were only the BSW and ACW in a section across the Bering Strait (BS section), but in the September 12/13 cruise, the AW, BSW and ACW flowed parallelly into the Bering Strait. The upper waters of these water masses were all altered due to ice melting, runoff, solar radiation, and wind mixing. The waters in the central and northern parts of Bering Strait stratified by two uniform layers,were expressed as the typical feature of the water masses originating from the pacific. A two-layer structure also dominated the vertical stratification in most part of the Chukchi Sea. | 2 | Effectiveness and safety of Ginkgo biloba extract(GBE50)in the treatment of dizziness caused by cerebral arteriosclerosis:a multi-center,double-blind,randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Ginkgo biloba extract(GBE50)in the treatment of dizziness caused by cerebral arteriosclerosis.METHODS:This was a multi-center,double-blind,double-dummy,positive-controlled,parallel randomized controlled clinical trial with 1∶1 allocation.We recruited 404 patients with dizziness caused by cerebral arteriosclerosis(blood stasis symptom pattern)in 10 hospitals in China.GBE50 group received GBE50 and Naoxinqing tablet(NXQ)of mimetic agent,control group received NXQ and GBE50 of mimetic agent.The main outcome was Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)symptom pattern score of blood stasis after 6 weeks.The secondary outcomes were changes in the dizziness handicap inventory(DHI)score,vertigo visual analogue scale(VAS)score,the university of California vertigo questionnaire(UCLA-DQ)score and single-item symptom score of TCM from baseline to 2,4 and 6 weeks.Safety indicators included the incidence of adverse events,severe adverse events and laboratory examination including blood routine,liver function,renal function,and so forth.RESULTS:The total effective rate of TCM symptom pattern score in the GBE50 group after 6 weeks of treatment was higher than that in the control group,the difference in rate was statistically significant(92.67%vs 83.07%,P=0.004).Compared with the control group,there was no difference in the incidence of adverse reactions(9.95%vs 14.85%,P=0.136).CONCLUSION:The treatment of dizziness caused by cerebral arteriosclerosis with GBE50 is effective,safe and reliable. | SHA Rina TANG Lu DU Yawei WU Shengxian SHI Huawei ZOU Hongxin ZHANG Xuran DONG Xinglu ZHOU Li | 2022 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022，42，1： | 5 |
| 3 | Antiviral activity of Jinchai capsule against influenza virus显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect on influenza virus of Jinchai,a capsule made of Traditional Chinese Medicine.METHODS:Madin-darby canine kidney(MDCK) cells were infected with the FM1 strain of influenza virus A(subtype H1N1) in vitro.They were used to explore how Jinchai affected cell adsorption,cell membrane fusion,transcription and replication of the influenza virus.Hemagglutinin(HA) protein,intracellular pH,and influenza virus protein acid(PA) polymerase subunit were detected with confocal microscopy and real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction.RESULTS:Jinchai significantly reduced the expression of HA and PA polymerase subunit mRNA in infected MDCK cells.Jinchai also significantly decreased intracellular pH in infected cells.CONCLUSIONS:Jinchai had strong anti-influenza activity against the influenza virus.It weakened the ability of the influenza virus to adsorb to cell wall and fuse with cell membranes in the early infection stage,and inhibited the transcription and replication of the virus. | Juying Zhong Xiaolan Cui Yujing Shi Yingjie Gao Hongxin Cao | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013，33，2： | 4 |
| 4 | A novel cancer vaccine with the ability to simultaneously produce anti-PD-1 antibody and GM-CSF in cancer cells and enhance Th1-biased antitumor immunity显示文摘Tumor escape from immune-mediated destruction has been associated with immunosuppressive mechanisms that inhibit T-cell activation.A promising strategy for cancer immunotherapy is to disrupt key pathways regulating immune tolerance,such as program death-1(PD-1/PD-L1)pathway in the tumor environment.However,the determinants of response to anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibodies(mAbs)treatment remain incompletely understood.In murine models,PD-1 blockade alone fails to induce effective immune responses to poorly immunogenic tumors,but is successful when combined with additional interventions,such as cancer vaccines.Novel cancer vaccines combined with antibody may offer promising control of cancer development and progression.In this investigation,we generated a novel tumor cell vaccine simultaneously expressing anti-PD-1 mAbs and granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor(GM-CSF)in CT26 colon cancer and B16-F10 melanoma.The antitumor effect of the vaccine was verified by therapeutic and adoptive animal experiments in vivo.The antitumor mechanism was analyzed using Flow cytometry,Elispot and in vivo intervention approaches.The results showed that tumor cell vaccine secreting PD-1 neutralizing antibodies and GM-CSF induced remarkable antitumor immune effects and prolonged the survival of tumor-bearing animals compared with animals treated with either PD-1 mAbs or GM-CSF alone.Antitumor effects and prolonged survival correlated with strong antigen-specific T-cell responses by analyzing CD11c^(+)CD86^(+)DC,CD11b^(+)F4/80^(+)MΦcells,increased ratio of Teff/Treg in the tumor microenvironment,and higher secretion levels of Th1 proinflammatory cytokines in serum.Furthermore,the results of ELISPOT and in vivo blocking strategies further confirmed that the antitumor immune response is acquired by CD4 and CD8 T immune responses,primarily dependent on CD4 Th1 immune response,not NK innate immune response.The combination of PD-1 blockade with GM-CSF secretion potency creates a novel tumor cell vaccine immunotherapy,affording significantly improved antitumor responses by releasing the state of immunosuppressive microenvironment and augmenting the tumor-reactive T-cell responses. | Hongwei Tian Gang Shi Qin Wang Yiming Li Qianmei Yang Chunlei Li Guoyou Yang Min Wu Qian Xie Shuang Zhang Yang Yang Rong Xiang Dechao Yu Yuquan Wei Hongxin Deng | 2016 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2016，1，1： | 3 |
| 5 | Prognostic value of BCL2 and TP53 genetic alterations for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma patients treated with R-CHOP显示文摘Objective:Limited data about the prognostic significance of BCL2 mutations and BCL2 copy number variations in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)are available.This study aimed to comprehensively describe BCL2 genetic alterations in DLBCL patients,and examine correlation of BCL2,TP53 and other genetic alterations with outcomes in patients treated with R-CHOP.Methods:Probe capture-based high-resolution sequencing was performed on 191 patients diagnosed with de novo DLBCL.MYC,BCL2,and BCL6 protein expressions were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results:The presence of BCL2 alterations significantly correlated with poor progression-free survival(PFS)(5-year PFS:13.7%vs.40.8%;P=0.003)and overall survival(OS)(5-year OS:34.0%vs.70.9%;P=0.036).Importantly,patients who harbored BCL2 gain/amplifications(BCL2GA/AMP)also had a remarkably inferior 5-year PFS(11.1%vs.38.3%;P<0.001)and OS(22.1%vs.69.6%;P=0.009).In contrast,neither BCL2 mutations nor BCL2 translocations were significantly prognostic for survival.Multivariable analyses showed that the presence of BCL2 alterations,especially BCL2GA/AMP,TP53 mutations,and International Prognostic Index(IPI)were significantly associated with inferior PFS and OS.Novel prognostic models for OS were constructed based on 3 risk factors,including BCL2 alterations(Model 1)or BCL2GA/AMP(Model 2),TP53 mutations,and IPI,to stratify patients into 4 risk groups with different survival outcomes.Conclusions:This study showed that DLBCL patients treated with R-CHOP,BCL2 alterations,especially BCL2GA/AMP and TP53 mutations were significantly associated with inferior outcomes,which were independent of the IPI.The novel prognostic models we proposed predicted outcomes for DLBCL patients treated with R-CHOP,but further validation of the prognostic models is still warranted. | Yan Qin Haizhu Chen Peng Liu Changgong Zhang Jianliang Yang Lin Gui Xiaohui He Liqiang Zhou Shengyu Zhou Shiyu Jiang Hongxin Jiang Yuankai Shi | 2022 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2022，19，6： | 2 |

| 7 | Assessing the active-passive approach at variant incidence angles for microwave brightness temperature downscaling显示文摘The Terrestrial Water Resources Satellite(TWRS)campaign is a planned Chinese candidate satellite mission,and a one-dimensional synthetic aperture technology will be used,resulting in variant incidence angles for collecting synchronous active-passive observations at L-band,which would make brightness temperature(T_(b))downscaling especially challenging when aiming to improve the spatial resolution of soil moisture measurements.In this study,two active-passive T_(b) downscaling algorithms,the time-series regression(TSR)and spectral analysis(SA)algorithms,are assessed comprehensively based on airborne experimental datasets.The results with data collected during the Soil Moisture Experiment 2002(SMEX02)showed that both approaches could provide a reliable downscaled T_(b) at the same incidence angle.Based on the ground and airborne active-passive observations under variant incidence angles from the Soil Moisture Experiment in the Luan River(SMELR)it can be shown that the linear relationship between T_(b) andσis still robust under the case of variant incidence angles,and T_(b)(both h-and v-pol)is better correlated toσvv for most cases thanσhh.Both downscaling approaches can be applied to active-passive observations under varying incidence angles.Moreover,SA method performed better than the TSR method according to the lower RMSE values and higher correlation. | Peng Guo Tianjie Zhao Jiancheng Shi Hongxin Xu Xiuwei Li Shengda Niu | 2021 | International Journal of Digital Earth2021，14，10： | 1 |
| 8 | Dynamic bifunctional THz metasurface via dual-mode decoupling显示文摘Metasurfaces have powerful light field manipulation capabilities and have been researched and developed extensively in various fields.With an increasing demand for diverse functionalities,terahertz(THz)metasurfaces are also expanding their domain.In particular,integrating different functionalities into a single device is a compelling domain in metasurfaces.In this work,we demonstrate a functionally decoupled THz metasurface that can incorporate any two functions into one metasurface and switch dynamically through external excitation.This proposed metasurface is formed by the combination of split-ring resonators and phase change material vanadium dioxide(VO_(2)).It operates in the single-ring resonant mode and double-ring resonant mode with varying VO_(2)in insulating and metallic states,respectively.More importantly,the phase modulation is independent in two operating modes,and both cover a 360°cross-polarized phase with efficient polarization conversion.This characteristic makes it obtain arbitrary independent phase information on the metasurface with different modes to switch dual functions dynamically.Here,we experimentally demonstrate the functions of a tunable focal length and large-angle focus deflection of a THz off-axis parabolic mirror to verify the dual-function switching characteristics of the functionally decoupled metasurface.The functionally decoupled metasurface developed in this work broadens the way for the research and application of multifunctional modulation devices in the THz band. | XUAN CONG HONGXIN ZENG SHIQI WANG QIWU SHI SHIXIONG LIANG JIANDONG SUN SEN GONG FENG LAN ZIQIANG YANG YAXIN ZHANG | 2022 | Photonics Research2022，10，9： | 1 |

| 12 | Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C. | 19 | Effect and safety of anaprazole in the treatment of duodenal ulcers:a randomized,rabeprazole-controlled,phase Ⅲ non-inferiority study显示文摘Background:The pharmacokinetic and clinical behaviors of many proton pump inhibitors(PPIs)in peptic ulcer treatment are altered by CYP2C19 genetic polymorphisms.This non-inferiority study evaluated the efficacy and safety of the novel PPI anaprazole compared with rabeprazole.We also explored the influence of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection status and CYP2C19 polymorphism on anaprazole.Methods:In this multicenter,randomized,double-blind,double-dummy,positive-drug parallel-controlled,phase Ⅲ study,Chinese patients with duodenal ulcers were randomized 1:1 to receive rabeprazole 10 mg+anaprazole placebo or rabeprazole placebo+anaprazole 20 mg once daily for 4 weeks.The primary efficacy endpoint was the 4-week ulcer healing rate assessed by blinded independent review.Secondary endpoints were the proportion of patients with improved overall and individual duodenal ulcer symptoms at 4 weeks.Furthermore,exploratory subgroup analysis of the primary endpoint by H.pylori status and CYP2C19 polymorphism was conducted.Adverse events were monitored for safety.Non-inferiority analysis was conducted for the primary endpoint.Results:The study enrolled 448 patients(anaprazole,n=225;rabeprazole,n=223).The 4-week healing rates were 90.9%and 93.7%for anaprazole and rabeprazole,respectively(difference,-2.8%[95%confidence interval,-7.7%,2.2%]),demonstrating non-inferiority of anaprazole to rabeprazole.Overall duodenal ulcer symptoms improved in 90.9%and 92.5%of patients,respectively.Improvement rates of individual symptoms were similar between the groups.Healing rates did not significantly differ by H.pylori status or CYP2C19 genotype for either treatment group.The incidence of treatment-emergent adverse events was similar for anaprazole(72/220,32.7%)and rabeprazole(84/219,38.4%).Conclusions:The efficacy of anaprazole is non-inferior to that of rabeprazole in Chinese patients with duodenal ulcers.Registration:ClinicalTrials.gov,NCT04215653. | Huiyun Zhu Xue Pan Li Zhang Hongxin Sun Huizhen Fan Zhongwei Pan Caibin Huang Zhenwang Shi Jin Ding Qi Wang Yiqi Du Nonghua Lyu Zhaoshen Li | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022，135，24： | 1 |
