1Analysis of stable components for extended-range (10-30 days) weather forecast:A case study of continuous overcast-rainy process in early 2009 over the mid-lower reaches of the Yangtze River显示文摘A continuous overcast-rainy weather(CORW) process occurred over the mid-lower reaches of the Yangtze River(MLRYR) in China from February 14 to March 9 in 2009,with a large stretch and long duration that was rarely seen in historical records.Using the empirical orthogonal function(EOF),we analyzed the geopotential height anomaly field of the NCEP-DOE Reanalysis II in the same period,and defined the stable components of extended-range(10-30 days) weather forecast(ERWF).Furthermore,we defined anomalous and climatic stable components based on the variation characteristics of the variance contribution ratio of EOF components.The climatic stable components were able to explain the impact of climatically averaged information on the ERWF,and the anomalous stable components revealed the abnormal characteristics of the continuous overcast-rainy days.Our results show that the stable components,especially the anomalous stable components,can maintain the stability for a longer time(more than 10 days) and manifest as monthly scale low-frequency variation and ultra-long-wave activities.They also behave as ultra-long waves of planetary scale with a stable and vertically coherent structure,reflect the variation of general circulation in mid-high latitudes,display the cycle of the zonal circulation and the movement and adjustment of the ultra-long waves,and are closely linked to the surface CORW process.FENG GuoLin SUN ShuPeng ZHAO JunHu ZHENG ZhiHai 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,9:8
2Quercus yangyiensis sp. nov. from the Late Pliocene of Baoshan, Yunnan and Its Paleoclimatic Significance显示文摘A new Quercus(Fagaceae) morphospecies is described based on well-preserved fossil leaves. The fossils were collected from Yangyi Formation of the Upper Pliocene at the Yangyi coalmine, Baoshan, western Yunnan, China. Details of the microstructure of mesophyll tissue are preserved because lithification of the fossils was not complete. The fossil laminas possess typical characteristics of Quercus sect. Heterobalanus: quite thick and coriaceous cuticle; secondary veins bifurcating near the margin in the middle and top of the leaf; and upper epidermis with adaxial hypodermis. Based on a detailed morphological and anatomical comparison with all living and fossil species of Quercus sect. Heterobalanus, the fossil leaves prove to be different in their sparse and garland-shaped multicellular trichomes on the lower epidermis, and so it is described as a new species Quercus yangyiensis He, Li et Sun sp. nov. The much sparser trichomes of our fossils compare well with those of living Quercus sect. 4Identification and expression analysis of bovine ANGPTL gene family显示文摘Encoded by seven genes, angiopoietin-like (ANGPTL) family members structurally similar to the angiogenic regulatingfactor angiopoietin are known to possess biological activities in angiogenesis and metabolism. Here we reports for the firsttime the identification and expression analysis of all the seven members of bovine ANGPTL gene family, which were designatedbANCPTL1 to bANGPTL7 in order. The seven bANGPTL genes consist of 4-9 exons, span 3800-43000 bp and are located ondifferent chromosomes. The deduced amino acid sequences of the members all possess an N-terminal coiled-coil domain and aC-terminal fibrinogen-like domain, both characteristics of angiopoietins. Phylogenetic analysis showed mat the 32 identifiedANGPTL homologs from 9 species could be classified into two major groups. Real-time quantitative PCR (Q-PCR) analysis revealedthat the bANGPTL family members have different expression patterns. This study will be helpful for investigation on thebiological role of the bANGPTL family in this economically important species. 5Method for solving dynamic equilibrium equations based on displacement excitation显示文摘Mode superposition is a widely used method for solving the dynamic equilibrium equation in structural dynamic analysis.However,the accuracy of this method may be reduced when the dynamic equilibrium equations are set up using displacement excitation.A new method for developing solutions for dynamic equilibrium equations based on displacement excitation is introduced.The dynamic equilibrium equation is decomposed into two parts,namely displacement excitation and velocity excitation,and precise integration and mode superposition methods are combined to solve the equation.Ritz vectors are then used to calculate the static response of the truncated modes of the structure,and a method for determining the number of participating modes is obtained.Using multi-degree-of-freedom systems as two computational examples,the differences in the structural responses obtained from the displacement excitation and acceleration excitation are compared and analyzed.It is shown that the new solution method generates consistent accuracy between the displacement excitation and acceleration excitation.Xu Guolin Zhang Lingxin Bai Yashuang Sun Hao 2020Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2020,19,2:2
6Genome-wide identification and expression analysis of NIN-like Protein(NLP)genes reveals their potential roles in the response to nitrate signaling in watermelon显示文摘To balance the relationship between high yield and low nitrogen supply,the nitrogen utilization efficiency of watermelon needs to be improved urgently.Nodule inception-like Protein(NLP)transcription factors play a key node role in nitrate response and growth and development of plant,however,comprehensive analysis of the NLP gene family in watermelon is unclear.This study explored the functional classification,evolutionary characteristics,and expression profile of the ClNLP gene family.Three ClNLPs were categorized into three groups according to their gene structure and phylogeny.All of them contained the conserved RWP-RK and PB1 domains.Evolutionary analysis of ClNLPs revealed that ClNLP1 and ClNLP3 underwent strong purified selection.In addition,cis-acting elements related to plant hormones and abiotic stresses were present in the ClNLP promoter.According to tissue-specific analysis ClNLP was widely expressed in roots,stems,leaves,flowers and fruits,and ClNLP1 was significantly induced in the roots of different nitrogen utilization varieties under different nitrate nitrogen supply.The SRTING functional protein association network suggested that ClNLP1 is associated with most genes,such as NRT1.1,NRT2.1,NIA1,and NIR1,and the dual-luciferase reporter assay found that ClNLP1 positively regulates the expression of ClNRT2.1.We speculated that ClNLP1 might play a central role in regulating the response of watermelon to nitrate nitrogen.Gaopeng Yuan Dexi Sun Yifan Wang Guolin An Weihua Li Wenjing Si Junpu Liu Yingchun Zhu 2022Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,5:2

10A Survey on Machine Learning Based Proactive Caching显示文摘The world today is experiencing an enormous increase in data traffic,coupled with demand for greater quality of experience(QoE)and performance.Increasing mobile traffic leads to congestion of backhaul networks.One promising solution to this problem is the mo bile edge network(MEN)and consequently mobile edge caching.In this paper,a survey of mobile edge caching using machine learning is explored.Even though a lot of work and sur veys have been conducted on mobile edge caching,our efforts in this paper are rather focused on the survey of machine learning based mobile edge caching.Issues affecting edge caching,such as caching entities,caching policies and caching algorithms,are discussed.The ma chine learning algorithms applied to edge caching are reviewed followed by a discussion on the challenges and future works in this field.This survey shows that edge caching can reduce delay and subsequently the backhaul traffic of the network;most caching is conducted at the small base stations(SBSs)and caching at unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)is recently used to accommodate mobile users who dissociate from SBSs.This survey also demonstrates that machine learning approach is the state of the art and reinforcement learning is predominant.Stephen ANOKYE Mohammed SEID SUN Guolin 2019ZTE Communications2019,17,4:1

19MOBILITY AIDED LOCALIZATION OF WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS WITH INACCURATE RANGE MEASUREMENTS显示文摘This paper studies the relationship between mobility, navigation and localization in the context of wireless sensor networks with mobile beacons. It is observed that mobility can aid in network node localization and that once localized, the network nodes can localize and track a mobile object and guide its navigation. A distributed kernel-based algorithm is proposed that enables the nodes to establish confident position estimates in the presence of ranging inaccuracies. The proposed approach features robustness with respect to range measurement inaccuracies, low complexity and distributed implementation, using only local information. 20A NOVEL INDOOR GEO-LOCATION METHOD USING MIMO ARRAY显示文摘In a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) based Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system, both Access Points (APs) and Mobile Termi-nals (MTs) are configured with multiple antennas, to make novel indoor geo-location method possible. In this paper, we presented a novel Least Square Support Vector Machine (LS-SVM) based data fusion algorithm to fuse signal strength measurements for indoor geo-location using only a single AP with MIMO arrays. We evaluate our proposed algorithms under indoor environments by MATLAB simulations.
