1Ten cities cross-sectional questionnaire survey of children asthma and other allergies in China显示文摘Asthma,rhinitis and eczema(allergic or non-allergic)have increased throughout the world during the last decades,especially among children.Changes in the indoor environment are suspected to be important causes.China has experienced a dramatic change in indoor environmental exposures during the past two decades.However,such changes and their associations with children’s asthma and other health aspects have not been thoroughly studied.China,Children,Homes,Health(CCHH),Phase I,was a cross-sectional questionnaire survey of 48219 children 1–8 years old in 10 Chinese cities during 2010–2012.The questionnaire includes the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood(ISAAC)core health questions and additional questions regarding housing,life habits and outdoor environment.In health analyses,children aged 3–6 years old were included.The prevalences of doctor diagnosed asthma varied from 1.7%to 9.8%(mean 6.8%),a large increase from 0.91%in 1999 and 1.50%in2000.The prevalence of wheeze,rhinitis and atopic eczema(last 12 months)varied from 13.9%to 23.7%,24.0%to 50.8%and4.8%to 15.8%,respectively.Taiyuan had the lowest prevalences of all illnesses and Shanghai the highest,except for wheezewhere the highest value was for Urumqi.We found(1)no obvious association between disease prevalences and ambient PM10concentrations and(2)higher prevalences of disease in humid climates with hot summers and cold winters,but with no centrally heated buildings.Associations between the diseases and economic status as indexed by Gross Domestic Product(GDP)requires further study.ZHANG YinPing LI BaiZhan HUANG Chen YANG Xu QIAN Hua DENG QiHong ZHAO ZhuoHui LI AnGui ZHAO JiaNing ZHANG Xin QU Fang HU Yu YANG Qin WANG Juan ZHANG Ming WANG Fang ZHENG XiaoHong LU Chan LIU ZhiJian SUN YueXia MO JinHan ZHAO YiLi LIU Wei WANG TingTing NORBCK Dan BORNEHAG Carl-Gustaf SUNDELL Jan 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,34:22
2Antigenically dominant proteins within the human liver mitochondrial proteome identified by monoclonal antibodies显示文摘Analysis of the mitochondrial proteome would provide valuable insight into the function of this important organelle, which plays key roles in energy metabolism, apoptosis, free radical production, thermogenesis, and calcium signaling. It could also increase our understanding about the mechanisms that promote mitochondrial disease. To identify proteins that are antigenically dominant in human liver mitochondria, we generated >240 hybridoma cell lines from native mitochondrial proteins after cell fusion, screening, and cloning. Antibodies that recognized mitochondrial proteins were identified by screening human liver cDNA expression libraries. In this study, we identified 6 major antigens that were recognized by at least 2 different monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). The proteins that were antigenically dominant were: acetyl-Coenzyme A acyltransferase 2 (mitochondrial 3-oxoacyl-Coenzyme A thiolase), aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member A1, carbamoyl phosphate synthetase 1, dihydrolipoamide S-acetyltransferase (E2 component of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex), enoyl coenzyme A hydratase 1, and hydroxysteroid (11-beta) dehydrogenase 1. We also determined the subcellular localizations of these enzymes within the mitochondria using immunohistocytochemistry. We believe that these well-characterized antibodies will provide a valuable resource for the Human Liver Proteome Project (HLPP), and will make studies aimed at investigating liver mitochondrial function far easier to perform in future. 5The innovations in China’s primary health care reform: Development and characteristics of the community health services in Hangzhou显示文摘Objective:This study focuses on Hangzhou,a Chinese city with a population of nine million urban and rural residents,to examine the successful development and innovation experience of its primary health care service system during the new health reform in China since 2009 and then dis-seminate the findings through international third parties.Methods:Measures such as data analysis,study of documents and regulations,fieldwork,and expert discussions were used to systematically investigate primary health care in Hangzhou.The findings will have a profound practical impact on the health reform for nine million rural and urban residents throughout Hangzhou’s municipal boroughs.Results:Community health services in Hangzhou are characterized as follows:They are gov-ernment led;they are guaranteed with enough financing,personnel,facilities,and regulation;sup-ported by the unified information platform;general practitioners have been assigned the key role of health‘gatekeepers’;they provide primary care combined with basic public health services;there are integrated urban and rural health services and insurance coverage;and there is health care-pen-sion-nursing integration and general practitioner-contracted‘smart’services.Preliminary data collection and analysis indicate that the basic health status of Hangzhou residents is superior to that of residents of China as a whole,and some health indicators in Hangzhou are comparable to those in Western developed countries.Conclusion:It is reasonable to believe that the primary health care level in China,including Hangzhou,will be further developed and promoted with indexed performance evaluations and more effective implementation of additional measures.Feng Lin Qihong Sun Zhangping Peng Jun Cai Philip Geanacopoulos Lin Li Yun Zhao Xin Zhang Xiaoxiao Chen 2015Family Medicine and Community Health2015,3,3:1
6CHANNEL ESTIMATION WITH CIRCULARLY SLIPPING WINDOW IN MIMO-OFDM SYSTEMS显示文摘Channel estimation is very important for MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) OFDM (Or-thogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) systems, but its precision is reduced due to the noise in channel. In this letter, circularly slipping window is introduced to resist the noise. It can be proved by simulation that with the same channel model, optimal slipping window length is the same with different vehicle speed. 7SARS-CoV-2-triggered mast cell rapid degranulation induces alveolar epithelial inflammation and lung injury显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 infection-induced hyper-inflammation links to the acute lung injury and COVID-19 severity.Identifying the primary mediators that initiate the uncontrolled hypercytokinemia is essential for treatments.Mast cells(MCs)are strategically located at the mucosa and beneficially or detrimentally regulate immune inflammations.In this study,we showed that SARS-CoV-2-triggered MC degranulation initiated alveolar epithelial inflammation and lung injury.SARS-CoV-2 challenge induced MC degranulation in ACE-2 humanized mice and rhesus macaques,and a rapid MC degranulation could be recapitulated with Spike-RBD binding to ACE2 in cells;MC degranulation altered various signaling pathways in alveolar epithelial cells,particularly,the induction of pro-inflammatory factors and consequential disruption of tight junctions.Importantly,the administration of clinical MC stabilizers for blocking degranulation dampened SARS-CoV-2-induced production of pro-inflammatory factors and prevented lung injury.These findings uncover a novel mechanism for SARS-CoV-2 initiating lung inflammation,and suggest an off-label use of MC stabilizer as immunomodulators for COVID-19 treatments.Meng-Li Wu Feng-Liang Liu Jing Sun Xin Li Xiao-Yan He Hong-Yi Zheng Yan-Heng Zhou Qihong Yan Ling Chen Guo-Ying Yu Junbiao Chang Xia Jin Jincun Zhao Xin-Wen Chen Yong-Tang Zheng Jian-Hua Wang 2022Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,1:0
8Dual-signal readout paper-based wearable biosensor with a 3D origami structure for multiplexed analyte detection in sweat显示文摘In this research,we design and implement a small,convenient,and noninvasive paper-based microfluidic sweat sensor that can simultaneously detect multiple key biomarkers in human sweat.The origami structure of the chip includes colorimetric and electrochemical sensing regions.Different colorimetric sensing regions are modified with specific chromogenic reagents to selectively identify glucose,lactate,uric acid,and magnesium ions in sweat,as well as the pH value.The regions of electrochemical sensing detect cortisol in sweat by molecular imprinting.The entire chip is composed of hydrophilically and hydrophobically treated filter paper,and 3D microfluidic channels are constructed by using folding paper.The thread-based channels formed after the hydrophilic and hydrophobic modifications are used to control the rate of sweat flow,which in turn can be used to control the sequence of reactions in the differently developing colored regions to ensure that signals of the best color can be captured simultaneously by the colorimetric sensing regions.Finally,the results of on-body experiments verify the reliability of the proposed sweat sensor and its potential for the noninvasive identification of a variety of sweat biomarkers.Yuemeng Cheng Shaoqing Feng Qihong Ning Tangan Li Hao Xu Qingwen Sun Daxiang Cui Kan Wang 2023Microsystems & Nanoengineering2023,9,2:0
9Finger-actuated wireless-charging wearable multifunctional sweatsensing system for levodopa and vitamin C显示文摘Efficient portable wearable sweat sensors allow the long-term monitoring of changes in the status of biomarkers in sweat,which can be useful in diagnosis,medication,and nutritional assessment.In this study,we designed and tested a wireless,battery-free,flexible,self-pumping sweat-sensing system that simultaneously tracks levodopa and vitamin C levels in human sweat and detects body temperature.The system includes a microfluidic chip with a self-driven pump and anti-reflux valve,a flexible wireless circuit board,and a purpose-designed smartphone app.The microfluidic chip is used for the efficient collection of sweat and the drainage of excess sweat.The dual electrochemical sensing electrodes in the chip are modified with functional materials and appropriate enzymatic reagents,achieving excellent selectivity and stability.The sensitivities of the levodopa sensor and the vitamin C sensor are 0.0073 and 0.0018μA·μM^(-1),respectively,and the detection correlation coefficients of both exceed 0.99.Both sensors have a wide linear detection range of 0–100 and 0–1000μM,respectively,and low detection limits of 0.28 and 17.9μM,respectively.The flexible wireless circuit board is equipped with the functions of wireless charging,electrical signal capture and processing,and wireless transmission.The data recorded from each sensor are displayed on a smartphone via a self-developed app.A series of experimental results confirmed the reliability of the sweat-sensing system in noninvasively monitoring important biomarkers in the human body and its potential utility in the comprehensive assessment of biological health.Qihong Ning Shaoqing Feng Qingwen Sun Ruoyao Yu Tangan Li Hao Xu Daxiang Cui Kan Wang 2024Nano Research2024,17,4:0
10A research of material input and environmental impact for Chinese economy:1990-2005显示文摘The process of economic activities is on the basis of tremendous material inputs.China has been discharging an enormous amount of waste,giving rise to a wide range of environmental impacts.The method of economy-wide material flow analysis(EW-MFA)is one of the effective tools to examine the flow of materials entering physical economies,and recognize early environmental problems.Relevant researches are still at the early stage in China and most focus on material throughput but are rarely concerned about the utilization of recycling resource and environmental impact.Based on more than 3,000 items of data related,materials entering Chinese economy are classified into three types,and then the characteristics of material input and environmental impact are presented for the years 1990-2005 by using the indicators derived from EW-MFA.The Ratio of Recycled Material(RRM) is added as the new indicator in order to be in accordance with the need of circular economy being promoted in China.Results show that the great changes in the structure of material input cause the continuous increase of industrial solid waste emissions and the bogging down of material productivity.The RRM reveals that the utilization of recycling resources remains at a fairly low level in China.Finally,some weakness of EW-MFA is discussed according to the calculated results.Liu Kailing Duan Ning Sun Qihong 2009Ecological Economy2009,5,4:0
11Thermo-elasto-hydrodynamic analysis of a specific multi-layer gas foil thrust bearing under thermal-fluid–solid coupling显示文摘Gas foil bearing faces severe and complex thermal-fluid–solid coupling issues when in ultra-high speed and miniaturized impeller machineries.In this study,a Thermo-Elasto-Hydrodynamic(TEHD)analysis of a specific multi-layer gas foil thrust bearing on the continuous loading process within a steady rotational speed is numerically investigated by a three-dimensional thermal-fluid–solid coupling method.Results indicate that the multi-layer foil exhibits nonlinear overall stiffness,with the thrust bottom foil serving as the primary elastic deformation structure,while the thrust top foil maintains a well-defined aerodynamic shape during a loading process,which helps reduce frictional damage and achieve an adequate loading capacity.For low loads,the fluctuation of the gas film is extremely sensitive,and it weakens dramatically as the load increases.The viscous heating and friction torque exhibit a linear relationship with an increasing bearing load after a rapid growth.Depending on the exact stacking sequence and contact position of the multi-layer gas foil,the overlapping configuration allows for efficient transfer of viscous-shearing heat accumulated at the smallest air film through thermal conduction while providing elastic support.Due to the strong inhomogeneity of the viscous heat under varying loads,the temperature distribution on the top foil surface shows pronounced variations,while the difference between the peak and average temperatures of the thrust plate and top foil surfaces widens substantially with an increasing load.Qihong GAO Wenjing SUN Jingzhou ZHANG 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,12:0
