1Facilitating Lithium-Ion Diffusion in Layered Cathode Materials by Introducing Li^(+)/Ni^(2+) Antisite Defects for High-Rate Li-Ion Batteries显示文摘Li^(+)/Ni^(2+) antisite defects mainly resulting from their similar ionic radii in the layered nickel-rich cathode materials belong to one of cation disordering scenarios.They are commonly considered harmful to the electrochemical properties,so a minimum degree of cation disordering is usually desired.However,this study indicates that LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_(2)as the key material for Tesla batteries possesses the highest rate capability when there is a minor degree(2.3%)of Li^(+)/Ni^(2+) antisite defects existing in its layered structure.By combining a theoretical calculation,the improvement mechanism is attributed to two effects to decrease the activation barrier for lithium migration:(1)the anchoring of a low fraction of high-valence Ni^(2+) ions in the Li slab pushes uphill the nearest Li^(+)ions and(2)the same fraction of low-valence Li^(+) ions in the Ni slab weakens the repulsive interaction to the Li^(+) ions at the saddle point.Zhongfeng Tang Sen Wang Jiaying Liao Shuo Wang Xiaodong He Bicai Pan Haiyan He Chunhua Chen 2019Research2019,,1:8
2Preparation of nano-sized cerium and titanium pyrophosphates via solid-state reaction at room temperature显示文摘Nano-sized cerium-titanium pyrophosphates Ce1-xTixP2O7 (with x = 0, 0.2, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, and 1.0) were obtained by grinding a mixture of Ce(SO4)2·4H2O, Ti(SO4)2, and Na4P2O7·10H2O in the presence of surfactant PEG-400 at room temperature, washing the mixture with water to remove soluble inorganic salts, and drying at 100°C. The products and their calcined samples were characterized using ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis), thermogravimetry and differential thermal analyses (TG/DTA), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show that nano-sized Ce1-xTixP2O7 behave as an excellent UV-shielding material. Thereinto, the CeP2O7 has the most excellent UV-shielding effect, and the amorphous state of Ce0.8Ti0.2P2O7 can keep at a higher temperature than CeP2O7. Therefore, the stabilization of the amorphous state of the cerium pyrophosphates was carried out by doping titanium. 6Role of LAP^+CD4^+ T cells in the tumor microenvironment of colorectal cancer显示文摘AIM To investigate the abundance and potential functions of LAP^+CD4^+ T cells in colorectal cancer(CRC). METHODS Proportions of LAP^+CD4^+ T cells were examined in peripheral blood and tumor/paratumor tissues of CRC patients and healthy controls using flow cytometry. Expression of phenotypic markers such as forkhead box(Fox)p3, cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein(CTLA)-4, chemokine CC receptor (CCR)4 and CCR5 was measured using flow cytometry. LAP^-CD4^+ and LAP^+CD4^+ T cells were isolated using a magnetic cellsorting system and cell purity was analyzed by flow cytometry. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to measure expression of cytokines interleukin (IL)-10 and transforming growth factor(TGF)-β.RESULTS The proportion of LAP^+CD4^+ T cells was significantly higher in peripheral blood from patients (9.44% ± 3.18%) than healthy controls (1.49% ± 1.00%, P < 0.001). Among patients, the proportion of LAP^+CD4^+ T cells was significantly higher in tumor tissues(11.76% ± 3.74%) compared with paratumor tissues (3.87% ± 1.64%, P < 0.001). We also observed positive correlations between the proportion of LAP^+CD4^+ T cells and TNM stage(P < 0.001), distant metastasis(P < 0.001) and serum level of carcinoembryonic antigen(P < 0.05). Magnetic-activated cell sorting gave an overall enrichment of LAP^+CD4^+ T cells (95.02% ± 2.87%), which was similar for LAP^-CD4^+ T cells(94.75% ± 2.76%). In contrast to LAP^-CD4^+ T cells, LAP^+CD4^+ T cells showed lower Foxp3 expression but significantly higher levels of CTLA-4, CCR4 and CCR5(P < 0.01). 7Grain-size features of aeolian sand on the east coast of Hainan Island and the revealed evolutionary processes of the sedimentary environment显示文摘The Mudui stratigraphic section represents the typical records of sedimentation processes of sand dunes and interdune depressions on the east coast of Hainan Island.Based on high-density sampling and optically stimulated luminescence(OSL) dating of the strata of the section,the grain-size composition,grain-size parameters,cumulative distribution probability curve,and grain-size-sensitivity indexes(SC/D) were analyzed.The analyzed results show that the grain-size features of aeolian sand,weakly developed sandy paleosol,two-facies(aeolian and aqueous) deposits,and lagoon deposits are all different.This indicates four evolutionary phases of the sedimentary environment of the east coast of Hainan Island since 38 ka B.P.Phase I:38-22 ka B.P.;phase II:22-17 ka B.P.;phase III:17-10 ka B.P.;phase IV:10 ka B.P.-present.The climate experienced the hot-wet/hot-dry,hot-wet/hot-dry,and warm-wet/hot-wet fluctuations,and the sedimentary environment also underwent lagoon deposition,dune and interdune depression deposition,dune stabilization and soil development,shifting sand deposition,and evolutionary processes.XiaoXia Liao Sen Li GuiYong Wang ZhiLun Li 2010Research in Cold and Arid Regions2010,2,6:2
8Conversion of Catalytically Inert 2D Bismuth Oxide Nanosheets for Effective Electrochemical Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Catalysis via Oxygen Vacancy Concentration Modulation显示文摘Oxygen vacancies(Vo)in electrocatalysts are closely correlated with the hydrogen evo-lution reaction(HER)activity.The role of vacancy defects and the effect of their concentration,how-ever,yet remains unclear.Herein,Bi2O3,an unfavorable electrocata-lyst for the HER due to a less than ideal hydrogen adsorption Gibbs free energy(ΔGH*),is utilized as a perfect model to explore the func-tion of Vo on HER performance.Through a facile plasma irradia-tion strategy,Bi2O3 nanosheets with different Vo concentrations are fabricated to evaluate the influence of defects on the HER process.Unexpectedly,while the generated oxygen vacancies contribute to the enhanced HER performance,higher Vo concentrations beyond a saturation value result in a significant drop in HER activity.By tunning the Vo concentration in the Bi_(2)O_(3)nanosheets via adjusting the treatment time,the Bi2O3 catalyst with an optimized oxygen vacancy concentration and detectable charge carrier concentration of 1.52×10^(24)cm^(−3)demonstrates enhanced HER performance with an overpotential of 174.2 mV to reach 10 mA cm^(−2),a Tafel slope of 80 mV dec−1,and an exchange current density of 316 mA cm−2 in an alkaline solution,which approaches the top-tier activity among Bi-based HER electrocatalysts.Density-functional theory calculations confirm the preferred adsorption of H*onto Bi2O3 as a function of oxygen chemical potential(ΔμO)and oxygen partial potential(PO2)and reveal that high Vo concentrations result in excessive stability of adsorbed hydrogen and hence the inferior HER activity.This study reveals the oxygen vacancy concentration-HER catalytic activity relationship and provides insights into activating catalytically inert materials into highly efficient electrocatalysts.Ziyang Wu Ting Liao Sen Wang Janith Adikaram Mudiyanselage Aaron SMicallef Wei Li Anthony PO’Mullane Jianping Yang Wei Luo Kostya Ostrikov Yuantong Gu Ziqi Sun 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,6:2

10Preparation of NH_4ZrH(PO_4)_2·H_2O via solid-state reaction at low heat and its catalytic performance in the synthesis of butyl acetate显示文摘Nanocrystalline NH4ZrH(PO4)2·H2O was obtained by grinding ZrOCl2·8H2O and (NH4)2HPO4 in the presence of surfactant PEG-400 via solid-state reaction at room temperature. The product NH4ZrH(PO4)2·H2O and its product of thermal decomposition were characterized using thermogravimetry and differential thermal analyses (TG/DTA), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Nanocrystalline NH4ZrH(PO4)2·H2O with an average particle size of 17 nm was obtained when the product was kept at 80°C for 3 h. Its crystalline framework was stable at temperatures below 250°C. In addition, the catalytic performance of NH4ZrH(PO4)2·H2O in the synthesis of butyl acetate was investigated. 11An Investigation on the Molecular Characteristics and Intracellular Growth Ability among Environmental and Clinical Isolates of Legionella pneumophila in Sichuan Province, China显示文摘Objective To investigate the molecular characteristics and intracellular growth ability of Legionella pneumophila(L. pneumophila) strains from 1989 to 2016 in Sichuan Province, China. Methods Seventy-nine isolates of L. pneumophila were collected from environmental and clinical sources, including cooling towers, hot springs, bath water, fountains, and patients, and identified with 16 S rRNA gene analysis and serum agglutination assay. The isolates were then typed by Sequence-Based Typing(SBT), and Genotyping of forty-two LP1 strains were analyzed by means of multiple-locus VNTR analysis with 8 loci(MLVA-8). All strains were further analyzed for two virulence genes: Legionella vir homologue(lvh) and repeats in structural toxin(rtx A). The intracellular growth ability of 33 selected isolates was determined by examining their interaction with J774 cells. Results All isolates were identified to L. pneumophila including 11 serogroups, among which the main serogroup were LP1, accounting for 54.43%. Thirty-three different sequence types(STs) from five main clonal groups and five singletons were identified, along with 8 different MLVA patterns. Both the lvh and rtx A loci were found in all 79 strains. Thirty isolates showed high intracellular growth ability in J774 cells. 17Nanocrystalline ZrO_2 preparation and kinetics research of phase transition显示文摘The precursor of nanocrystalline ZrO2 was synthesized by solid-state reaction at low heat using ZrOCl2·8H2O,and Na2CO3·10H2O as raw materials.The nanocrystalline ZrO2 was obtained by calcining the precursor.The precursor and its calcined products were characterized using TG/DTA,FT-IR,XRD,and SEM.The results showed that the precursor dried at 353 K was a zirconyl carbonate compound.When the precursor was calcined at 673 K for 150min,highly crystallization ZrO2 with tetragonal structure (space group P42/nmc (137)) was obtained with a crystallite size of 24 nm.However,when the precursor was calcined at 1023 K for 150min,highly crystallization ZrO2 with monoclinic structure (space group P21/c (14)) was obtained with a crystallite size of 20 nm.The mechanism and kinetics of the thermal process of the precursor were studied using DTA and XRD techniques.Based on the Kissinger and Arrhenius equation,the values of the activation energies associated with the thermal process of the precursor were determined to be 26.80 and 566.73 kJ·mol-1 for the first and third steps,respectively.The mechanism of ZrO2 phase transition from tetragonal to monoclinic structure is the random nucleation and growth of nuclei reaction.Wu, Wenwei Cai, Jinchao Wu, Xuehang Li, Yongni Liao, Sen 2012Rare Metals2012,31,1:1
