Re-identifying Grateloupia yangjiangensis(Rhodophyta, Halymeniaceae) based on morphological observations, life history and rbcL sequence analyses显示文摘On the basis of morphological observations, life history and molecular phylogeny, Grateloupia yangjiangensis, which is similar to G. filicina, G. orientalis, G. catenata, and G. ramosissima in appearance, was re-examined. The results are as follows:(1) the auxiliary-cell ampullae of G. yangjiangensis were of Grateloupia type, thalli was fleshy and gelatinous in texture, and the erect axes were compressed; the cortex was 0.25–0.30 mm thick, consisting of five to seven outer layers, and there were five inner layers of triangular or stellate cells;(2) there was no filamentous stage in the development of the carpospores;(3) the ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase gene(rbcL) sequence of four G. yangjiangensis examined showed that there was no intergeneric divergence among them, and for the phylogenetic tree, four sequences of G. yangjiangensis formed a single monophyletic subclade within the large Grateloupia clade of Halymeniaceae. In conclusion, G. yangjiangensis was a single species within the genus Grateloupia. This research provided criterion for identification and cultivation of G. yangjiangensis. | WANG Hongwei GUO Shaoru ZHANG Xiaoming ZHAO Dan ZHANG Wen LUAN Rixiao | 2014 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2014,33,4: | 10
Morphology, sedimentary characteristics, and origin of the Dongsha submarine canyon in the northeastern continental slope of the South China Sea显示文摘The Dongsha submarine canyon is a large canyon belonging to a group of canyons on the northeastern South China Sea margin. Investigation of the Dongsha canyon is important for understanding the origin of this canyon group as well as the transport mechanism of sediments on the margin, and the evolution of the Taixinan foreland basin and the associated Taiwan orogenic belt. In this study, the morphology, sedimentary characteristics, and origin of the Dongsha canyon were investigated by integrating high-resolution multi-channel seismic reflection profiles and high-precision multibeam bathymetric data. This is a slope-confined canyon that originates in the upper slope east of the Dongsha Islands, extends downslope in the SEE direction, and finally merges with the South Taiwan Shoal canyon at a water depth of 3000 m. The total length and average width of the canyon are around 190 and 10 km, respectively. Eleven seismic sequence boundaries within the canyon fills were identified and interpreted as incision surfaces of the canyon. In the canyon fills, four types of seismic facies were defined: parallel onlap fill, chaotic fill, mounded divergent facies, and migrated wavy facies. The parallel onlap fill facies is interpreted as alternating coarser turbidites or other gravity-flow deposits and fine hemipelagic sediments filling the canyon valley. The chaotic fill facies is presumed to be debrites and/or basal lag deposits filling the thalwegs. The mounded divergent and migrated wavy seismic facies can be explained as canyon levees consisting mainly of overspilled fine turbidites and sediment waves on the levees or on the canyon-mouth submarine fans. Age correlation between the sequence boundaries and the ODP Site 1144 data suggests that the Dongsha canyon was initiated at approximately 0.9 Ma in the middle Pleistocene. Mapping of the canyon indicates that the canyon originated at the upstream portion of the middle reach of the modern canyon, and has been continuously expanding both upstream and downstream by retrogressive erosion, incision, and deposition of turbidity currents and other gravity transport processes. The ages of the sequence boundaries representing major canyon incision events are in good agreement with those of global sea-level lowstands, indicating that sea-level changes may have played an important role in the canyon's development. The Dongsha canyon developed in a region with an active tectonic background characterized by the Taiwan uplifting and the development of the Taixinan foreland basin. However, no evidence suggests that the canyon formation is directly associated with local or regional faulting and magmatic activities. Turbidity currents and other gravity transport processes(including submarine slides and slumps) may have had an important influence on the formation and evolution of the canyon. | YIN ShaoRu WANG LiaoLiang GUO YiQun ZHONG GuangFa | 2015 | Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,6: | 6
Review:Advances in methodology of DNA methylation assay显示文摘DNA methylation is one of the most signaficant epigenetic events which greatly influence gene activation, gene imprinting, chromatin stability, and so on. The level of methylation in genome and certain regions should be in a normal range, because any variation would cause physiological dysfunction. In account of essential roles of DNA methylation in the living system, the detection of methylation in both overall genome and specific positions has drawn great interest. So far many biological and chemical methods have been developed to detect DNA methylation. Herein, we summerize some novel methods mainly based on chemical modification and analytic methods in DNA detection. | TIAN Tian WANG ShaoRu WU JianGuo ZHOU Xiang | 2011 | Science China Chemistry2011,54,8: | 2

Multidomain Correlation-Based Multidimensional CSI Tensor Generation for Device-FreeWi-Fi Sensing显示文摘Due to the fine-grained communication scenarios characterization and stability,Wi-Fi channel state information(CSI)has been increasingly applied to indoor sensing tasks recently.Although spatial variations are explicitlyreflected in CSI measurements, the representation differences caused by small contextual changes are easilysubmerged in the fluctuations of multipath effects, especially in device-free Wi-Fi sensing. Most existing datasolutions cannot fully exploit the temporal, spatial, and frequency information carried by CSI,which results ininsufficient sensing resolution for indoor scenario changes. As a result, the well-liked machine learning(ML)-based CSI sensing models still struggling with stable performance. This paper formulates a time-frequency matrixon the premise of demonstrating that the CSI has low-rank potential and then proposes a distributed factorizationalgorithm to effectively separate the stable structured information and context fluctuations in the CSI matrix. Finally,a multidimensional tensor is generated by combining the time-frequency gradients of CSI,which containsrich and fine-grained real-time contextual information.Extensive evaluations and case studies highlight thesuperiority of the proposal. | Liufeng Du Shaoru Shang Linghua Zhang Chong Li JianingYang Xiyan Tian | 2024 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,138,2: | 0
Bimetallic ZIFs-derived electrospun carbon nanofiber membrane as bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst for rechargeable zinc-air battery显示文摘The recharged zinc-air battery(ZAB) has drawn significant attention owing to increasing requirement for energy conversion and storage devices.Fabricating the efficient bifunctional oxygen catalyst using a convenient strategy is vitally important for the rechargeable ZAB.In this study, the bimetallic ZIFs-containing electrospun(ES) carbon nanofibers membrane with hierarchically porous structure was prepared by coaxial electrospinning and carbonization process, which was expected to be a bifunctional electrocatalyst for ZABs.Owing to the formed dual single-atomic sites of Co-N_(4) and Zn-N_(4),the obtained ES-Co/ZnCNZIFexhibited the preferable performance toward oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) with E1/2of 0.857 V and JLof 5.52 mA cm^(-2),which were more than Pt/C.Meanwhile,it exhibited a marked oxygen evolution reaction(OER) property with overpotential of 462 mV due to the agglomerated metallic Co nanoparticles.Furthermore, the ZAB based on the ES-Co/Zn-CNZIFcarbon nanofibers membranes delivered peak power density of 215 mW cm^(-2),specific capacity of 802.6 mA h g^(-1),and exceptional cycling stability, far larger than Pt/C+RuO_(2)-based ZABs.A solid-state ZAB based on ES-Co/Zn-CNZIFshowed better flexibility and stability with different bending angles. | Yanan Ma Shaoru Tang Haimeng Wang Yuxuan Liang Dingyu Zhang Xiaoyang Xu Qian Wang Wei Li | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,8: | 0
