2Electrocatalysts based on metal@carbon core@shell nanocomposites:An overview显示文摘Developing low-cost, high-performance catalysts is of fundamental significance for electrochemical energy conversion and storage. In recent years, metal@carbon core@shell nanocomposites have emerged as a unique class of functional nanomaterials that show apparent electrocatalytic activity towards a range of reactions, such as hydrogen evolution reaction, oxygen evolution reaction, oxygen reduction reaction, and CO2 reduction reaction, that are important in water splitting, fuel cells and metal-air batteries. The activity is primarily attributed to interfacial charge transfer from the metal core to the carbon shell that manipulate the electronic interactions between the catalyst surface and reaction intermediates, and varies with the structures and morphologies of the metal core(elemental composition, core size, etc.) and carbon shell(doping,layer thickness, etc.). Further manipulation can be achieved by the incorporation of a third structural component. 3Empirical investigation of stochastic local search for maximum satisfiability显示文摘The maximum satisfiability (MAX-SAT)problem is an important NP-hard problem in theory,and has a broad range of applications in practice.Stochastic local search (SLS)is becoming an increasingly popular method for solving MAX-SAT.Recently,a powerful SLS algorithm called CCLS shows efficiency on solving random and crafted MAX-SAT instances.However,the performance of CCLS on solving industrial MAX-SAT instances lags far behind.In this paper,we focus on experimentally analyzing the performance of SLS algorithms for solving industrial MAXSAT instances.First,we conduct experiments to analyze why CCLS performs poor on industrial instances.Then we propose a new strategy called additive BMS (Best from Multiple Selections)to ease the serious issue.By integrating CCLS and additive BMS,we develop a new SLS algorithm for MAXSAT called CCABMS,and related experiments indicate the efficiency of CCABMS.Also,we experimentally analyze the effectiveness of initialization methods on SLS algorithms for MAX-SAT,and combine an effective initialization method with CCABMS,resulting in an enhanced algorithm.Experimental results show that our enhanced algorithm performs better than its state-of-the-art SLS competitors on a large number of industrial MAX-SAT instances.Yi CHU Chuan LUO Shaowei CAI Haihang YOU 2019Frontiers of Computer Science2019,13,1:3

7Nanowrinkled Carbon Aerogels Embedded with FeN_(x) Sites as Effective Oxygen Electrodes for Rechargeable Zinc-Air Battery显示文摘Rational design of single-metal atom sites in carbon substrates by a flexible strategy is highly desired for the preparation of high-performance catalysts for metal-air batteries.In this study,biomass hydrogel reactors are utilized as structural templates to prepare carbon aerogels embedded with single iron atoms by controlled pyrolysis.The tortuous and interlaced hydrogel chains lead to the formation of abundant nanowrinkles in the porous carbon aerogels,and single iron atoms are dispersed and stabilized within the defective carbon skeletons.X-ray absorption spectroscopy measurements indicate that the iron centers are mostly involved in the coordination structure of FeN_(4),with a minor fraction(ca.1/5)in the form of FeN_(3)C.First-principles calculations show that the FeN_(x) sites in the Stone-Wales configurations induced by the nanowrinkles of the hierarchically porous carbon aerogels show a much lower free energy than the normal counterparts.The resulting iron and nitrogen-codoped carbon aerogels exhibit excellent and reversible oxygen electrocatalytic activity,and can be used as bifunctional cathode catalysts in rechargeable Zn-air batteries,with a performance even better than that based on commercial Pt/C and RuO_(2) catalysts.Results from this study highlight the significance of structural distortions of the metal sites in carbon matrices in the design and engineering of highly active single-atom catalysts.Ting He Bingzhang Lu Yang Chen Yong Wang Yaqiang Zhang John L.Davenport Alan P.Chen Chih-Wen Pao Min Liu Zhifang Sun Alexander Stram Alexander Mordaunt Jairo Velasco Jr Yuan Ping Yi Zhang Shaowei Chen 2019Research2019,,1:1
8The NAC transcription factor CINAC68 positively regulates sugar content and seed development in watermelon by repressing CIINV and CIGH3.6显示文摘NAC(NAM,ATAF1/2,and CUC2)transcription factors play important roles in fruit ripening and quality.The watermelon genome encodes 80 NAC genes,and 21 of these NAC genes are highly expressed in both the flesh and vascular tissues.Among these genes,CINAC68 expression was signi fi cantly higher in flesh than in rind.However,the intrinsic regulatory mechanism of CINAC68 in fruit ripening and quality is still unknown.In this study,we found that ClNAC68 is a transcriptional repressor and that the repression domain is located in the C-terminus.Knockout of CINAC68 by the CRISPR-Cas9 system decreased the soluble solid content and sucrose accumulation in mutant flesh.Development was delayed,germination was inhibited,and the IAA content was signi ficantly decreased in mutant seeds.Transcriptome analysis showed that the invertase gene CUNV was the only gene involved in sucrose metabolism that was upregulated in mutant flesh,and expression of the indole-3-acetic acid-amido synthetase gene CIGH3.6 in the IAA signaling pathway was also induced in mutant seeds.EMSA and dual-luciferase assays showed that CINAC68 directly bound to the promoters of CUNV and CIGH3.6 to repress their expression.These results indicated that CINAC68 positively regulated sugar and IAA accumulation by repressing CUNV and CIGH3.6.Our findings provide new insights into the regulatory mechanisms by which NAC transcription factors affect fruit quality and seed development.Jinfang Wang Yanping Wang Jie Zhang Yi Ren Maoying Li Shaowei Tian Yongtao Yu Yi Zuo Guoyi Gong Haiying Zhang Shaogui Guo Yong Xu 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:0
9Moxibustion for COVID-19:a systematic scoping review显示文摘Objective:Moxibustion has been widely used in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.However,there is no systematic review of current topics and clinical findings on moxibustion for COVID-19.We conducted this scoping review to systematically summarize and analyze the themes and findings of published articles,and to provide an overview of current knowledge and practice of moxibustion for COVID-19.Methods:PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,SinoMed,Wan Fang Data,and VIP databases were searched from inception until April 2022.The relevant data were presented through bar graphs,structured tables,and figures along with descriptive statistics and analysis.This scoping review was conducted based on the PRISMA-ScR Checklist.Results:A total of 76 articles were reviewed:47 reviews,19 clinical research studies,seven systematic reviews(all were protocols),and three guidelines.All the studies were conducted by Chinese researchers and published from January 1,2020 to March 14,2022.The feasibility of moxibustion in the prevention and treatment of mild or moderate COVID-19 is based on the consensus of therapeutic mechanisms and effectiveness.The most adopted approach was the suspended and gentle moxibustion,and the most frequently applied or recommended acupoints were found to be ST36,CV8,CV6,CV4,CV12,GV14,BL13,LI4,ST25,and LR3.Conclusions:As a convenient and safe traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)therapy with its specific feature,moxibustion has been significantly effective at ameliorating mild or moderate symptoms among COVID-19 patients.Further large-scale,welldesigned research and international cooperation are still warranted in clinical evaluations of moxibustion.Meng Xia Bo Pang Shaowei Yi Xinjue Shan Shizhe Deng Yinan Qin Tao Jiang Hai Lu 2022Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine2022,2,3:0

11Advances in extracellular vesicle-based combination therapies for spinal cord injury显示文摘Spinal cord injury is a severe insult to the central nervous system that causes persisting neurological deficits.The currently available treatments involve surgical,medical,and rehabilitative strategies.However,none of these techniques can markedly reverse neurological deficits.Recently,extracellular vesicles from various cell sources have been applied to different models of spinal cord injury,thereby generating new cell-free therapies for the treatment of spinal cord injury.However,the use of extracellular vesicles alone is still associated with some notable shortcomings,such as their uncertainty in targeting damaged spinal cord tissues and inability to provide structural support to damaged axons.Therefore,this paper reviews the latest combined strategies for the use of extracellular vesicle-based technology for spinal cord injury,including the combination of extracellular vesicles with nanoparticles,exogenous drugs and/or biological scaffold materials,which facilitate the targeting ability of extracellular vesicles and the combinatorial effects with extracellular vesicles.We also highlight issues relating to the clinical transformation of these extracellular vesicle-based combination strategies for the treatment of spinal cord injury.Tingting Wang Guohao Huang Zhiheng Yi Sihan Dai Weiduan Zhuang Shaowei Guo 2024Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,2:0
