| 2 | Association of emergency room visits for respiratory diseases with sources of ambient PM2.5显示文摘Previous studies have reported associations of short-term exposure to different sources of ambient fine particulate matter(PM2.5)and increased mortality or hospitalizations for respiratory diseases.Few studies,however,have focused on the short-term effects of source-specific PM2.5 on emergency room visits(ERVs)of respiratory diseases.Source apportionment for PM2.5 was performed with Positive Matrix Factorization(PMF)and generalized additive model was applied to estimate associations between source-specific PM2.5 and respiratory disease ERVs.The association of PM2.5 and total respiratory ERVs was found on lag4(RR=1.011,95%CI:1.002,1.020)per interquartile range(76μg/m3)increase.We found PM2.5 to be significantly associated with asthma,bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)ERVs,with the strongest effects on lag5(RR=1.072,95%CI:1.024,1.119),lag4(RR=1.104,95%CI:1.032,1.176)and lag3(RR=1.091,95%CI:1.047,1.135),respectively.The estimated effects of PM2.5 changed little after adjusting for different air pollutants.Six primary PM2.5 sources were identified using PMF analysis,including dust/soil(6.7%),industry emission(4.5%),secondary aerosols(30.3%),metal processing(3.2%),coal combustion(37.5%)and traffic-related source(17.8%).Some of the sources were identified to have effects on ERVs of total respiratory diseases(dust/soil,secondary aerosols,metal processing,coal combustion and traffic-related source),bronchitis ERVs(dust/soil)and COPD ERVs(traffic-related source,industry emission and secondary aerosols).Different sources of PM2.5 contribute to increased risk of respiratory ERVs to different extents,which may provide potential implications for the decision making of air quality related policies,rational emission control and public health welfare. | Rui Chi Hongyu Li Qian Wang Qiangrong Zhai Daidai Wang Meng Wu Qichen Liu Shaowei Wu Qingbian Ma Furong Deng Xinbiao Guo | 2019 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,12: | 8 |

| 4 | Synthetic aperture ptychography:coded sensor translation for joint spatial-Fourier bandwidth expansion显示文摘Conventional ptychography translates an object through a localized probe beam to widen the field of view in real space.Fourier ptychography translates the object spectrum through a pupil aperture to expand the Fourier bandwidth in reciprocal space.Here we report an imaging modality,termed synthetic aperture ptychography(SAP),to get the best of both techniques.In SAP,we illuminate a stationary object using an extended plane wave and translate a coded image sensor at the far field for data acquisition.The coded layer attached on the sensor modulates the object exit waves and serves as an effective ptychographic probe for phase retrieval.The sensor translation process in SAP synthesizes a large complex-valued wavefront at the intermediate aperture plane.By propagating this wavefront back to the object plane,we can widen the field of view in real space and expand the Fourier bandwidth in reciprocal space simultaneously.We validate the SAP approach with transmission targets and reflection silicon microchips.A 20-mm aperture was synthesized using a 5-mm sensor,achieving a fourfold gain in resolution and 16-fold gain in field of view for object recovery.In addition,the thin sample requirement in ptychography is no longer required in SAP.One can digitally propagate the recovered exit wave to any axial position for post-acquisition refocusing.The SAP scheme offers a solution for far-field sub-diffraction imaging without using lenses.It can be adopted in coherent diffraction imaging setups with radiation sources from visible light,extreme ultraviolet,and X-ray,to electron. | PENGMING SONG SHAOWEI JIANG TIANBO WANG CHENGFEI GUO RUIHAI WANG TERRANCE ZHANG GUOAN ZHENG | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,7: | 2 |

| 6 | Cardiorespiratory Effects of Indoor Ozone Exposure Associated with Changes in Metabolic Profiles among Children:A Repeated-Measure Panel Study显示文摘Ozone is one of the major gaseous pollutants associated with short-term adverse cardiopulmonary effects,even at concentrations below the current indoor air quality limits.However,the underlying biological mechanisms of cardiorespiratory changes with exposure to ozone remain unclear.To further explore molecular linkages between indoor ozone exposure and relevant cardiorespiratory effects,a repeated-measure panel study including 46 schoolchildren was conducted and real-time exposure measurements including ozone were performed inside classrooms every weekday during the study period.Repeated health measurements and urine sample collection were conducted in each participant.Ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry and meet-in-metabolite approach were used in metabolomics analysis.Methods including mixed-effect models were adopted to identify metabolites associated with ozone exposure or health indices.Nine metabolites were found to be associated with ozone after mixed-effect model analysis,which are mainly involved in amino acid and bile acid metabolism.Boys may have a greater decrease in bile acid and RNA related metabolites.Four of the nine ozone-related metabolites were also associated with cardiorespiratory function indices.Furthermore,26.67%of the positive association between ozone and heart rate was mediated by cholestane-3,7,12,25-tetrol-3-glucuronide.Exposure to ozone below the current indoor standards was associated with the deteriorated cardiovascular function by disturbing bile acid and endogenous nitric oxide-related oxidation and inflammation,and associated with the exacerbated airway inflammation by reducing GPx-related anti-oxidation.The results provide metabolic evidence of the cardiorespiratory effects of indoor ozone exposure.Indoor ozone pollution should be controlled further,and more attention should be paid to preventing its adverse health effects,especially in children. | Shan Liu Qingyu Huang Xi Zhang Wei Dong Wenlou Zhang Shaowei Wu Di Yang Bingru Nan Jie Zhang Heqing Shen Xinbiao Guo Furong Deng | 2021 | The Innovation2021,2,1: | 1 |

| 15 | Lensless polarimetric coded ptychography for high-resolution,high-throughput gigapixel birefringence imaging on a chip显示文摘Polarimetric imaging provides valuable insights into the polarization state of light interacting with a sample.It can infer crucial birefringence properties of specimens without using labels,thereby facilitating the diagnosis of diseases such as cancer and osteoarthritis.In this study,we present a novel polarimetric coded ptychography(pol-CP)approach that enables high-resolution,high-throughput gigapixel birefringence imaging on a chip.Our platform deviates from traditional lens-based systems by employing an integrated polarimetric coded sensor for lensless coherent diffraction imaging.Utilizing Jones calculus,we quantitatively determine the birefringence retardance and orientation information of biospecimens from the recovered images.Our portable pol-CP prototype can resolve the 435 nm linewidth on the resolution target,and the imaging field of view for a single acquisition is limited only by the detector size of 41 mm2.The prototype allows for the acquisition of gigapixel birefringence images with a 180 mm^(2) field of view in~3.5 min,a performance that rivals high-end whole slide scanner but at a small fraction of the cost.To demonstrate its biomedical applications,we perform high-throughput imaging of malaria-infected blood smears,locating parasites using birefringence contrast.We also generate birefringence maps of label-free thyroid smears to identify thyroid follicles.Notably,the recovered birefringence maps emphasize the same regions as autofluorescence images,underscoring the potential for rapid on-site evaluation of label-free biopsies.Our approach provides a turnkey and portable solution for lensless polarimetric analysis on a chip,with promising applications in disease diagnosis,crystal screening,and label-free chemical imaging,particularly in resource-constrained environments. | LIMING YANG RUIHAI WANG QIANHAO ZHAO PENGMING SONG SHAOWEI JIANG TIANBO WANG XIAOPENG SHAO CHENGFEI GUO RISHIKESH PANDEY GUOAN ZHENG | 2023 | Photonics Research2023,11,12: | 0 |
| 16 | PM_(2.5)concentration declining saves health expenditure in China显示文摘Air pollution has been a severe issue in China.Exposure to PM_(2.5)has adverse health effects and causes economic losses.This study investigated the economic impact of exposure to PM_(2.5)pollution using monthly city-level data covering 88.3 million urban employees in 2016 and 2017.This study mainly focused on three expenditure indicators to measure the economic impact considering lower respiratory infections(LRIs),coronary heart disease(CHD),and stroke.The results show that a 10μg/m3 increase in PM_(2.5)would cause total monthly expenses of LRIs,CHD,and stroke to increase by 0.226%,0.237%,and 0.374%,respectively.We also found that LRI,CHD,and stroke hospital admissions increased significantly by 10%,8.42%,and 5.64%,respectively.Furthermore,the total hospital stays of LRIs,CHDs,and strokes increased by 2.49%,2.51%,and 1.64%,respectively.Our findings also suggest heterogeneous impacts of PM2s exposures by sex and across regions,but no statistical evidence shows significant differences between the older and younger adult subgroups.Our results provide several policy implications for reducing unequal public health expenditures in overpolutedcountries. | Yang Xie Hua Zhong Zhixiong Weng Xinbiao Guo Satbyul Estlla Kim Shaowei Wu | 2023 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,7: | 0 |
| 17 | The NAC transcription factor CINAC68 positively regulates sugar content and seed development in watermelon by repressing CIINV and CIGH3.6显示文摘NAC(NAM,ATAF1/2,and CUC2)transcription factors play important roles in fruit ripening and quality.The watermelon genome encodes 80 NAC genes,and 21 of these NAC genes are highly expressed in both the flesh and vascular tissues.Among these genes,CINAC68 expression was signi fi cantly higher in flesh than in rind.However,the intrinsic regulatory mechanism of CINAC68 in fruit ripening and quality is still unknown.In this study,we found that ClNAC68 is a transcriptional repressor and that the repression domain is located in the C-terminus.Knockout of CINAC68 by the CRISPR-Cas9 system decreased the soluble solid content and sucrose accumulation in mutant flesh.Development was delayed,germination was inhibited,and the IAA content was signi ficantly decreased in mutant seeds.Transcriptome analysis showed that the invertase gene CUNV was the only gene involved in sucrose metabolism that was upregulated in mutant flesh,and expression of the indole-3-acetic acid-amido synthetase gene CIGH3.6 in the IAA signaling pathway was also induced in mutant seeds.EMSA and dual-luciferase assays showed that CINAC68 directly bound to the promoters of CUNV and CIGH3.6 to repress their expression.These results indicated that CINAC68 positively regulated sugar and IAA accumulation by repressing CUNV and CIGH3.6.Our findings provide new insights into the regulatory mechanisms by which NAC transcription factors affect fruit quality and seed development. | Jinfang Wang Yanping Wang Jie Zhang Yi Ren Maoying Li Shaowei Tian Yongtao Yu Yi Zuo Guoyi Gong Haiying Zhang Shaogui Guo Yong Xu | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 0 |
| 18 | Ce^(3+):Lu_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)–Al_(2)O_(3) optical nanoceramic scintillators elaborated via a low-temperature glass crystallization route显示文摘Transparent Ce:lutetium aluminum garnet(Ce:Lu_(3)A_(l5)O_(12),Ce:LuAG)ceramics have been regarded as potential scintillator materials due to their relatively high density and atomic number(Zeff).However,the current Ce:LuAG ceramics exhibit a light yield much lower than the expected theoretical value due to the inevitable presence of LuAl antisite defects at high sintering temperatures.This work demonstrates a low-temperature(1100℃)synthetic strategy for elaborating transparent LuAG–Al_(2)O_(3) nanoceramics through the crystallization of 72 mol%Al_(2)O_(3)–28 mol%Lu_(2)O_(3)(ALu28)bulk glass.The biphasic nanostructure composed of LuAG and Al_(2)O_(3) nanocrystals makes up the whole ceramic materials.Most of Al_(2)O_(3) is distributed among LuAG grains,and the rest is present inside the LuAG grains.Fully dense biphasic LuAG–Al_(2)O_(3) nanoceramics are highly transparent from the visible region to mid-infrared(MIR)region,and particularly the transmittance reaches 82%at 780 nm.Moreover,LuAl antisite defect-related centers are completely undetectable in X-ray excited luminescence(XEL)spectra of Ce:LuAG–Al_(2)O_(3) nanoceramics with 0.3–1.0 at%Ce.The light yield of 0.3 at%Ce:LuAG–Al_(2)O_(3) nanoceramics is estimated to be 20,000 ph/MeV with short 1μs shaping time,which is far superior to that of commercial Bi_(4)Ge_(3)O_(12)(BGO)single crystals.These results show that a low-temperature glass crystallization route provides an alternative approach for eliminating the antisite defects in LuAG-based ceramics,and is promising to produce garnet-based ceramic materials with excellent properties,thereby meeting the demands of advanced scintillation applications. | Jie FU Shaowei FENG Yongchang GUO Ying ZHANG Cécile GENEVOIS Emmanuel VERON Mathieu ALLIX Jianqiang LI | 2023 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,2: | 0 |
| 19 | Elevating photoluminescence properties of Y_(3)MgAl_(3)SiO_(12):Ce^(3+)transparent ceramics for high-power white lighting显示文摘Compared with Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12):Ce^(3+),Y3MgAl3SiO12:Ce^(3+)(YMASG:Ce^(3+))reveals great potential for highpower white lighting with red-shift spectrum.Herein,YMASG:Ce^(3+)transparent ceramics were explored to be synthesized in the air following hot isostatic pressure(HIP)treatment to obtain tunable and optimized optical properties.Then phase purity,microstructure,transmittance,and photoluminescence of YMASG:Ce^(3+)ceramics were investigated.The emission peak of YMASG:Ce^(3+)transparent ceramic can be tuned from 573 to 592 nm with the variation of Ce^(3+)doping concentration.It should be noted that this YMASG:0.2 at%Ce^(3+)transparent ceramic with emission peak at 579 nm under 450 nm excitation exhibits the highest internal/external quantum efficiency(72%/65%).The white LED device using YMASG:0.2 at%Ce^(3+)transparent ceramic with a 0.4 mm thickness demonstrates a luminous efficiency(LE)of 106 lm/W,correlated color temperature of 3158 K,and color coordinate(0.3933,0.3265).Thermal stability can be significantly imporoved by the incorporation of Lu^(3+)in YMASG transparent ceramic,and the Y3-yLuyMgAl3SiO12:0.2 at/Ce^(3+)(y=0-2.5)transparent ceramics were fabricated.The highest thermal stability(88%@150℃of the integrated emission intensity at 25℃)can be achieved wheny=2.5.The maximum LE of 154 Im/W can be obtained from Y_(0.5)Lu_(2.5)MgAl_(3)SiO_(12):0.2 at%Ce^(3+)transparent ceramic.These results indicate that YMASG:Ce^(3+)transparent ceramics with optimized properties can be regarded as an encouraging candidate for highpower white lighting. | Shaowei Feng Yongchang Guo Xiaoming Sun Jie Fu Jianqiang Li Jun Jiang Haiming Qin Hui Wang Yafeng Yang | 2023 | Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,5: | 0 |
