1Trajectory planning and yaw rate tracking control for lane changing of intelligent vehicle on curved road显示文摘The lateral control for lane changing of intelligent vehicle on curved road in automatic highway systems was studied. Based on trapezoidal acceleration profile, considering the curvature difference between starting lane and target lane, a new virtual trajectory planning method for lane changing on curved road was presented, and the calculating formulas for ideal states of vehicle in the inertial coordinate system during a lane changing maneuver were established. Applying the predetermined trajectory, the reference yaw angle and yaw rate for lane changing were generated. On the assumption that the information on yaw rate of vehicle can be measured with on-board sensors and based on the lateral dynamical model of vehicle, the yaw-rate-tracking control law was designed by applying nonsingular terminal sliding mode technology. Based on Lyapunov function method, the finite-time convergence property of the system was obtained from the phase-plane analysis. Simulation results showed that if the curvature difference between starting lane and target lane was not considered, then at the finishing time of lane changing, it was impossible to avoid the deviation of the virtual trajectory panned from the target lane, which increased with the decrease of curvature radius. 3Autophagy in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and alcoholic liver disease显示文摘Autophagy is an evolutionarily conserved intracellular degradative function that is important for liver homeostasis.Accumulating evidence suggests that autophagy is deregulated during the progression and development of alcoholic and non-alcoholic liver diseases.Impaired autophagy prevents the clearance of excessive lipid droplets(LDs),damaged mitochondria,and toxic protein aggregates,which can be generated during the progression of various liver diseases,thus contributing to the development of steatosis,injury,steatohepatitis,fibrosis,and tumors.In this review,we look at the status of hepatic autophagy during the pathogenesis of alcoholic and non-alcoholic liver diseases.We also examine the mechanisms of defects in autophagy,and the hepato-protective roles of autophagy in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)and alcoholic liver disease(ALD),focusing mainly on steatosis and liver injury.Finally,we discuss the therapeutic potential of autophagy modulating agents for the treatment of these two common liver diseases.Bilon Khambu Shengmin Yan Nazmul Huda Gang Liu Xiao-Ming Yin 2018Liver Research2018,2,3:13
4Injectable bone cement with magnesium-containing microspheres enhances osteogenesis via anti-inflammatory immunoregulation显示文摘Injectable bone cement is especially useful in minimally invasive surgeries to repair small and irregular bone defects.Amongst different kinds of injectable bone cements,bioactive calcium phosphate bone cement(CPC)has been widely studied due to its biological activity.However,its dense structure and poor biodegradability prevent the ingrowth of living tissue,which leads to undesirable bone regeneration and clinical translation.To address this issue,we prepared bone cement based on Magnesium-containing microspheres(MMSs)that can not only be cured into a 3D porous scaffold but also have controllable biodegradability that continuously provides space for desired tissue ingrowth.Interestingly,magnesium ions released from MMSs cement(MMSC)trigger positive immunomodulation via upregulation of the anti-inflammatory genes IL-10 and M2 macrophage polarization with increased expression of CD206,which is beneficial to osteogenesis.Moreover,the physicochemical properties of MMSC,including heat release,rheology and setting time,can be tuned to meet the requirements of injectable bone cement for clinical application.Using a rat model,we have demonstrated that MMSC promoted osteogenesis via mediation of tissue ingrowth and anti-inflammatory immunomodulation.The study provides a paradigm for the design and preparation of injectable bone cements with 3D porous structures,biodegradability and anti-inflammatory immunoregulation to efficiently promote osteogenesis.Shenglong Tan Yifan Wang Yingying Du Yin Xiao Shengmin Zhang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:9
5Active Fault Exploration and Seismic Hazard Assessment in Fuzhou City显示文摘It has been proven by a number of earthquake case studies that an active fault-induced earthquake beneath a city can be devastating. It is an urgent issue for seismic hazard reduction to explore the distribution of active faults beneath the urban area and identify the seismic source and the risks underneath. As a pilot project of active fault exploration in China, the project, entitled “Active fault exploration and seismic hazard assessment in Fuzhou City', started in early 2001 and passed the check before acceptance of China Earthquake Administration in August 2004. The project was aimed to solve a series of scientific issues such as fault location, dating, movement nature, deep settings, seismic risk and hazard, preparedness of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, and etc. by means of exploration and assessment of active faults by stages, i.e., the preliminary survey and identification of active faults in target area, the exploration of deep seismotectonic settings, the risk evaluation of active seismogenic faults, the construction of geographic information system of active faults, and so on. A lot of exploration methods were employed in the project such as the detection of absorbed mercury, free mercury and radon in soil, the geological radar, multi-channel DC electrical method, tsansient electromagnetic method, shallow seismic refraction and reflection, effect contrast of explored sources, and various sounding experiments, to establish the buried Quaternary standard section of the Fuzhou basin. By summing up, the above explorations and experiments have achieved the following results and conclusions: (1)The results of the synthetic pilot project of active fault exploration in Fuzhou City demonstrate that, on the basis of sufficient collection, sorting out and analysis of geological, geophysical and borehole data, the best method for active fault exploration (location) and seismic risk assessment (dating and characterizing) in urban area is the combination of various approaches, that is, the possible location of active fault determined by using geochemical exploration as a guide “scout', the shallow seismic sounding as the main tool, the electromagnetic method as a supplement, establishing the standard Quaternary profile or stratigraphic sequence from drilling and various geophysical parameters from borehole logs as methods to correct and verify the data above. And in addition, the method also includes the field surveys on fault exposures, trenching, paleoearthquake investigation, dating and comparison of lithology, strata sequence, absolute or relative ages of the cores on the two sides of buried faults. (2)The Fuzhou basin locates under the regional seismotectonic settings which have the potential of moderate earthquake. Comparatively, the region is less affected by the “Taiwan dynamic Antenna'; (3)The activity of the major faults in Fuzhou basin is weak in general. All the six identified target faults are not Holocene faults, among which the Bayi Reservoir-Shanggan fault and the Minhou-Nanyu fault are dormant at least since the mid Epipleistocene time, and the rest are dormant since the Epipleistocene time; (4)In terms of deep-seated structures beneath the basin, there is no evidence indicating the possible occurrence of the underneath strong destructive earthquakes. 6Origin of Listwanite in the Luobusa Ophiolite,Tibet,Implications for Chromite Stability in Hydrothermal Systems显示文摘Listwanite from the Luobusa ophiolite,Tibet,forms a narrow,discontinuous band along the eastern part of the southern boundary fault. We undertook a detailed petrographic and geochemical study to understand the mineral transformation processes and the behaviour of major and trace elements during listwanite formation. Three alteration zones characterized by distinct mineral components and texture are recognized and,in order of increasing degree of alteration,these are: zoneIII is rich in serpentine minerals; zoneII is rich in talc and carbonates; and zoneI is mainly composed of carbonates and quartz. Geochemical data for the three alteration zones show significant modification of some major and trace elements in the protolith,although some oxides show linear correlations with Mg O. Gold mineralization is recognized in the Luobusa listwanite and may signify an important target for future mineral exploration. Gold enrichment occurs in both zoneI and zoneIIand is up to 0.91 g/t in one sample from zoneI. We show that CO2-rich hydrothermal fluids can modify both the occurrence and composition of chromite grains,indicating some degree of chromite mobility. Low-Cr anhedral grains are more easily altered than high-Cr varieties. 9Brassinosteroid signaling positively regulates abscisic acid biosynthesis in response to chilling stress in tomato显示文摘Brassinosteroids(BRs)and abscisic acid(ABA)are essential regulators of plant growth and stress tolerance.Although the antagonistic interaction of BRs and ABA is proposed to ensure the balance between growth and defense in model plants,the crosstalk between BRs and ABA in response to chilling in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum),a warmclimate horticultural crop,is unclear.Here,we determined that overexpression of the BR biosynthesis gene DWARF(DWF)or the key BR signaling gene BRASSINAZOLE-RESISTANT1(BZR1)increases ABA levels in response to chilling stress via positively regulating the expression of the ABA biosynthesis gene 9-CIS-EPOXYCAROTENOID DIOXYGENASE1(NCED1).BR-induced chilling tolerance was mostly dependent on ABA biosynthesis.Chilling stress or high BR levels decreased the abundance of BRASSINOSTEROID-INSENSITIVE2(BIN2),a negative regulator of BR signaling.Moreover,we observed that chilling stress increases BR levels and results in the accumulation of BZR1.BIN2negatively regulated both the accumulation of BZR1protein and chilling tolerance by suppressing ABA biosynthesis.Our results demonstrate that BR signaling positively regulates chilling tolerance via ABA biosynthesis in tomato.The study has implications in production of warm-climate crops in horticulture.Shengmin An Yue Liu Kangqi Sang Ting Wang Jingquan Yu Yanhong Zhou Xiaojian Xia 2023Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,1:4
10Porcine intestinal antimicrobial peptide as an in-feed antibiotic alternative improves intestinal digestion and immunity by shaping the gut microbiota in weaned piglets显示文摘Antibiotic resistance of pathogens,which is caused by the abuse of in-feed antibiotics,threatens the sustainable development of livestock production.The present study aimed to investigate the efficiency of porcine intestinal antimicrobial peptide(PIAP)as an alternative to in-feed antibiotics in terms of growth performance,intestinal morphology,digestive enzymes and immunity,and microbiota community of the post-weaning piglets.A total of 204 piglets(Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire,weaned at 28 d age)with a similar body weight of 7.97±1.04 kg were randomly allocated to 4 groups(51 piglets per group):(1)control group:basal diet;(2)AB group:antibiotic,basal diet+chlortetracycline(1000 mg/kg from d 1 to24;500 mg/kg from d 25 to 37);(3)P1 group:basal diet+a relatively low dose of PIAP(400 mg/kg from d 1 to 24;300 mg/kg from d 25 to 37);(4)P2 group,basal diet+a relatively high dose of PIAP(600 mg/kg from d 1 to 24;500 mg/kg from d 25 to 37).The results showed that serum indicators of hepatocyte damage and relative organ weight were not affected by these treatments(P>0.05).Compared with the AB treatment,the P1 treatment remarkably decreased jejunal crypt depth and increased jejunal and ileal villus height:crypt depth ratio(P<0.05).The values of jejunal maltase,lactase,sucrase,intestinal alkaline phosphatase,and secretory immunoglobulin A(SIg A)in the P1 group were sharply increased compared with those in the control and P2 groups(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the P1 group decreased serum concentrations of D-lactate,diamine oxidase,and endotoxin(P<0.05),and increased the abundance of Lactobacillus reuteri(P<0.05)in the colonic feces.Furthermore,there was a positive correlation between the abundance of L.reuteri and the concentrations of maltase,lactase,sucrase,and SIg A(P<0.05).Collectively,dietary supplementation with a relatively low dose of PIAP(400 mg/kg from d 1 to 24;300 mg/kg from d 25 to 37)demonstrates beneficial effects on intestinal morphology,digestive enzymes,immunity,and permeability by shaping the gut microbiota composition in weaned piglets.This study will provide a valuable reference for using PIAP as an in-feed antibiotic alternative in swine production.Fengjie Ji Huansheng Yang Qiye Wang Jianzhong Li Hanlin Zhou Shengmin Liu 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,3:3
11Asymmetric neurocognitive representation of ethnic in-group/out-group faces显示文摘To investigate asymmetric neurocognitive representation of ethnic in-group and out-group members, we recorded event-related potentials (ERPs) to faces in a perceptual task after the faces had been primed with positive or negative affective links. The affective link priming did not influence the ERPs to ethnic out-group faces. However, relative to the positive affective link priming, the negative affective link priming increased the amplitudes of an early frontal negativity (N100) and a following central negativity but decreased the amplitude of a late positive potential elicited by ethnic in-group faces. Moreover, the N100 amplitude correlated with the degree of negative attitudes towards ethnic in-group faces. 13Effects of different drying methods on phenolic components and in vitro hypoglycemic activities of pulp extracts from two Chinese bayberry(Myrica rubra Sieb.et Zucc.)cultivars显示文摘The effects of two different drying methods,namely hot-air drying and freeze drying,on the phenolic profiles,antioxidant and hypoglycemic activities of pulp extracts from two main Chinese bayberry cultivars(’Biqi’or’BQ’and’Dongkui’or’DK’)were evaluated.The results showed that’BQ’bayberry provided higher total phenolic(TPC),total flavonoid(TFC)and total anthocyanin(TAC)contents than’DK’bayberry after the same drying method,while its antioxidant and hypoglycemic activities were highly affected by drying method.Freeze-dried samples possessed significantly higher TPC,TFC and TAC,and exhibited more potent antioxidant and hypoglycemic activities than hot-air dried ones(P<0.05).Freeze-dried’DK’bayberry exhibited similar antioxidant activities and a-amylase inhibitory activity,but higher a-glucosidase inhibition than freeze-dried’BQ’bayberry(P<0.05).Compared with hot-air dried samples,freeze-dried samples had significantly higher contents of cyanidin-3-O-glucoside,myricitin-3-O-rhamnoside,quercetin-3-O-galactoside,quercetin-3-O-glucoside and quercetin-3-O-rhamnoside,which had been proved to be the main contributors to the in vitro hypoglycemic activities of bayberry pulp extract.All these results demonstrate that freeze drying is more suitable for the preservation of phenolic components in the pulp extract of Chinese bayberry,and the pulp extract of freeze-dried’DK’could be applied as a potential hypoglycemic food additive.Zhe Liu Jiagan Zhang Shengmin Lu Weimin Tang Yibin Zhou Siew Young Quek 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,2:3
14Synthesis and light-emitting properties of 2-(N-phenyl-α-naphthylamino) and 2-dimesitylboron-7-(N-phenyl-α-naphthylamino)-9,9-diethylfluorene显示文摘A fluorescent organic triarylamine with a symmetric structure, 2,7-bis(N-α-naphthyl-phenylamino)-9,9- diethylfluorene (NPAEF) was synthesized using two methods, modified Ullmann coupling and modified palladium-catalyzed amination. An activated copper and a combination of Pd(OAc)2/P(t-Bu)3 and Pd(dba)2/P(t-Bu)3 were selected as catalysts to improve yields of reactions. These synthetic procedures were also successfully applied to an asymmetric 2-dimesitylboron-7-(N-phenyl-α-naphthylamino)-9,9-diethylfluorene (BNPEF). Photoluminescent emission peaks in solid film and in diluted solution of NPAEF were both observed at 461 nm, while the main emission peaks of BNPEF appeared at 422 nm in hexane, and at 480 nm in methanol. The double emission peaks of BNPEF in hexane reflected fine structure in the vibrational state. With an increasing polarity of solvent, the main PL emission peaks were red-shifted and vibrational fine structure disappeared. Additionally, energy levels of NPAEF were investigated and an electroluminescence (EL) device of ITO/PVK:NPAEF/Al was fabricated, which showed a turn-on voltage of 9 V and peaked at 462 nm. 15Hepatic senescence, the good and the bad显示文摘Gradual alterations of cell’s physiology and functions due to age or exposure to various stresses lead to the conversion of normal cells to senescent cells.Once becoming senescent,the cell stops dividing permanently but remains metabolically active.Cellular senescence does not have a single marker but is characterized mainly by a combination of multiple markers,such as,morphological changes,expression of cell cycle inhibitors,senescence associatedβ-galactosidase activity,and changes in nuclear membrane.When cells in an organ become senescent,the entire organism can be affected.This may occur through the senescence-associated secretory phenotype(SASP).SASP may exert beneficial or harmful effects on the microenvironment of tissues.Research on senescence has become a very exciting field in cell biology since the link between age-related diseases,including cancer,and senescence has been established.The loss of regenerative and homeostatic capacity of the liver over the age is somehow connected to cellular senescence.The major contributors of senescence properties in the liver are hepatocytes and cholangiocytes.Senescent cells in the liver have been implicated in the etiology of chronic liver diseases including cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma and in the interference of liver regeneration.This review summarizes recently reported findings in the understanding of the molecular mechanisms of senescence and its relationship with liver diseases.Nazmul Huda Gang Liu Honghai Hong Shengmin Yan Bilon Khambu Xiao-Ming Yin 2019World Journal of Gastroenterology2019,25,34:3

17First-principles study on the mechanical and thermodynamic properties of MoNbTaTiW显示文摘Refractory high-entropy alloys(RHEAs)are emerging as new materials for high temperature structural applications because of their stable mechanical and thermal properties at temperatures higher than 2273 K.In this study,the mechanical properties of MoNbTaTiW RHEA are examined by applying calculations based on first-principles density functional theory(DFT)and using a large unit cell with 100 randomized atoms.The phase calculation of MoNbTaTiW with CALPHAD method shows the existence of a stable body-centered cubic structure at a high temperature and a hexagonal closely packed phase at a low temperature.The predicted phase,shear modulus,Young’s modulus,Poisson’s ratio,and hardness values are consistent with available experimental results.The linear thermal expansion coefficient,vibrational entropy,and vibrational heat capacity of MoNbTaTiW RHEA are investigated in accordance with Debye-Grüneisen theory.These results may provide a basis for future research related to the application of RHEAs.Uttam Bhandari Congyan Zhang Shengmin Guo Shizhong Yang 2020International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2020,27,10:3

19Tea picking point detection and location based on Mask-RCNN显示文摘The accurate identification,detection,and segmentation of tea buds and leaves are important factors for realizing intelligent tea picking.A tea picking point location method based on the region-based convolutional neural network(R-CNN)Mask-RCNN is proposed,and a tea bud and leaf and picking point recognition model is established.First,tea buds and leaf pictures are collected in a complex environment,the Resnet50 residual network and a feature pyramid network(FPN)are used to extract bud and leaf features,and preliminary classification and preselection box regression training-performed on the feature maps through a regional proposal network(RPN).Second,the regional feature aggregation method(RoIAlign)is used to eliminate the quantization error,and the feature map of the preselected region of interest(ROI)is converted into a fixed-size feature map.The output module of the model realizes the functions of classification,regression and segmentation.Finally,through the output mask image and the positioning algorithm the positioning of the picking points of tea buds and leaves is determined.One hundred tea tree bud and leaf pictures in a complex environment are selected for testing.The experimental results show that the average detection accuracy rate reaches 93.95%and that the recall rate reaches 92.48%.The tea picking location method presented in this paper is more versatile and robust in complex environments.Tao Wang Kunming Zhang Wu Zhang Ruiqing Wang Shengmin Wan Yuan Rao Zhaohui Jiang Lichuan Gu 2023Information Processing in Agriculture2023,10,2:2
20Petrological and Os Isotopic Characteristics of Zedong Peridotites in the Eastern Yarlung–Zangbo Suture in Tibet显示文摘The Zedong ophiolites in the eastern Yarlung–Zangbo suture zone of Tibet represent a mantle slice of more than 45 km^2. This massif consists mainly of mantle peridotites, with lesser gabbros, diabases and volcanic rocks. The mantle peridotites are mostly harzburgite, lherzolite; a few dike-like bodies of dunite are also present. Mineral structures show that the peridotites experienced plastic deformation and partial melting. Olivine(Fo89.7–91.2), orthopyroxene(En_(88–92)), clinopyroxene(En_(45–49) Wo_(47–51) Fs_(2–4)) and spinel [Mg~#=100×Mg/(Mg+Fe)]=49.1–70.7; Cr~#=(100×Cr/(Cr+Al)=18.8–76.5] are the major minerals. The degree of partial melting of mantle peridotites is 10%–40%, indicating that the Zedong mantle peridotites may experience a multi–stage process. The peridotites are characterized by depleted major element compositions and low REE content(0.08–0.62 ppm). Their 'spoon–shaped' primitive–mantle normalized REE patterns with(La/Sm)_N being 0.50–6.00 indicate that the Zedong ultramafic rocks belong to depleted residual mantle rocks. The PGE content of Zedong peridotites(18.19–50.74 ppb) is similar with primary mantle with Pd/Ir being 0.54–0.60 and Pt/Pd being 1.09–1.66. The Zedong peridotites have variable, unradiogenic Os isotopic compositions with ^(187)Os/^(188)Os=0.1228 to 0.1282. A corollary to this interpretation is that the convecting upper mantle is heterogeneous in Os isotopes.
