1Effect of Sintering on Thermal Conductivity and Thermal Barrier Effects of Thermal Barrier Coatings显示文摘Thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) are mostly applied to hot components of advanced turbine engines to insulate the components from hot gas. The effect of sintering on thermal conductivity and thermal barrier effects of conventional plasma sprayed and nanostructured yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) are investigated. Remarkable increase in thermal conductivity occurs to both typical coatings after heat treatment. The change of porosity is just the opposite. The grain size of the nanostructured zirconia coating increases more drastically with annealing time compared to that of the conventional plasma sprayed coating, which indicates that coating sintering makes more contributions to the thermal conductivity of the nanostructured coating than that of the conventional coating. Thermal barrier effect tests using temperature difference technique are performed on both coatings. The thermal barrier effects decrease with the increase of thermal conductivity after heat treatment and the decline seems more drastic in low thermal conductivity range. The decline in thermal barrier effects is about 80 °C for nanostructured coating after 100 h heat treatment, while the conventional coating reduces by less than 60 °C compared to the as-sprayed coating.WANG Kai PENG Hui GUO Hongbo GONG Shengkai 2012Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2012,25,5:7

5A ZnO thin-film driven microcantilever for nanoscale actuation and sensing显示文摘Zinc oxide(ZnO)thin film as a piezoelectric material for microelectromechanical system(MEMS)actuators and sensors was evaluated.ZnO thin films were deposited using radio frequency(RF)magnetron sputtering.Process parameters such as gas ratio,working pressure,and RF power were optimized for crystalline structure.The ZnO thin films were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).Good quality of ZnO thin films was further confirmed by a high transverse piezoelectric coefficient d31.A microcantilever was then designed,fabricated,and characterized.Design formulas of resonant frequency,actuation,and sensing sensitivities were derived.The resonant frequency was determined by an impedance analyzer.Tip deflection on nanometer level was demonstrated with the cantilever used as an actuator.The actuation sensitivity was found to be 12.2 nm/V.As a sensor,the cantilever was calibrated against a reference accelerometer.The sensing sensitivity was characterized to be 46 mV/g.The characterization results were compared with design specifications.The differences were caused mainly by thickness control in etching.This study showed that ZnO is a promising piezoelectric material for MEMS actuators and sensors in terms of excellent process compatibility and good piezoelectric performance.Yanhui Yuan Kun Shyong Chow Hejun Du Peihong Wang Mingsheng Zhang Shengkai Yu k Bo Liu 2013International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials2013,4,2:2
6Versatile metal graphitic nanocapsules for SERS bioanalysis显示文摘The novel graphitic nanomaterial of metal graphitic nanocapsules(MGNs) with superior stability, unique optical properties and biocompatibility possess great potential in biomedical and bioanalytical applications. The graphitic shell can quench the background fluorescence interference from external environments via a fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET) process and even avoid unnecessary reactions catalyzed by inner metal core. The graphitic shell with several characteristic Raman bands itself can act as Raman signal probe or internal standard(IS), especially the 2D-band within the cellular Raman-silent region helps to reduce the interference signals from external conditions. 7Versatile Graphene-Isolated AuAg-Nanocrystal for Multiphase Analysis and Multimodal Cellular Raman Imaging显示文摘Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS)-based bioanalytical technique involves the interaction of SERS-active substrate with complex environment,which has aroused intensive research interests.Compared to the commonly used Au SERS substrates,Ag nanocrystals have larger optical absorption cross section and acceptable price,but they possess poor oxidation resistance and potential biotoxicity,and the occurrence of unnecessary chemical reactions is inevitable due to the direct contact with probe molecules.Herein,we report a graphene-isolated AuAg nanocrystal(GIAAN)with the SERS-active AuAg core confined in a nanospace of few-layer graphene shell,which possesses unique Raman peaks,high SERS activity,excellent stability,superior fluorescence quenching performance and good biocompatibility.Based on the limited solubility of GIAAN in water and organic solvents,it is able to spontaneously generate interfacial self-assembled GIAAN(ISA-GIAAN)film at immiscible two-phase interfaces without any inducer,and multiphase Raman analysis of both water-and lipid-soluble drug model molecules is further achieved.Moreover,the GIAAN is further non-covalently functionalized with polyoxyethylenestearyl ether(C18-PEG)to acquire GIAAN@PEG with good water-solubility for SERS quantitative analysis in homogeneous system and multimodal Raman imaging of MCF-7 cells.We expect the versatile GIAAN holds great potential to monitor drug metabolism and guide intended drug delivery in clinic trials.Shengkai Li Zhaotian Zhu Xinqi Cai Minghui Song Shen Wang Qing Hao Long Chen Zhuo Chen 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,6:2
8Serum mitochondrial tsRNA serves as a novel biomarker for hepatocarcinoma diagnosis显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),which makes up the majority of liver cancer,is induced by the infection of hepatitis B/C virus.Biomarkers are needed to facilitate the early detection of HCC,which is often diagnosed too late for effective therapy.The tRNA-derived small RNAs(tsRNAs)play vital roles in tumorigenesis and are stable in circulation.However,the diagnostic values and biological functions of circulating tsRNAs,especially for HCC,are still unknown.In this study,we first utilized RNA sequencing followed by quantitative reverse-transcription PCR to analyze tsRNA signatures in HCC serum.We identified tRF-Gln-TTG-006,which was remarkably upregulated in HCC serum(training cohort:24 HCC patients vs.24 healthy controls).In the validation stage,we found that tRF-Gln-TTG-006 signature could distinguish HCC cases from healthy subjects with high sensitivity(80.4%)and specificity(79.4%)even in the early stage(Stage I:sensitivity,79.0%;specificity,74.8%;155 healthy controls vs.153 HCC patients from two cohorts).Moreover,in vitro studies indicated that circulating tRF-Gln-TTG-006 was released from tumor cells,and its biological function was predicted by bioinformatics assay and validated by colony formation and apoptosis assays.In summary,our study demonstrated that serum tsRNA signature may serve as a novel biomarker of HCC.Shoubin Zhan Ping Yang Shengkai Zhou Ye Xu Rui Xu Gaoli Liang Chenyu Zhang Xi Chen Liuqing Yang Fangfang Jin Yanbo Wang 2022Frontiers of Medicine2022,16,2:2

12Progress in Chinese Antarctic geodetic remote sensing显示文摘This paper summarizes the progress of the Chinese Antarctic expedition in geodetic remote sensing. It describes the systems for continuous satellite navigation and positioning, and the tide gauges that have been established at the Zhongshan and Great Wall stations in Antarctica. Advances in the investigation of plate motion, the gravity field, and sea level change as well as the application of GPS in atmospheric studies are reported. Details of the movements of ice sheets and glaciers, distributions of blue ice and ice crevasses, and mass balance studies based on remote sensing techniques are presented. The use of field, satellite, and photogrammetric data to produce topographic maps is described. Finally, the prospects for further Antarctic surveying and mapping are discussed. 14Isothermal Oxidation Behavior of Dysprosium/S-Doped β-NiAl Alloys at 1200°C显示文摘A β-NiAl alloy with normal purity, a S-doped and a Dy and S co-doped b-NiAl alloys were prepared by arc-melting and their corresponding S contents were less than 20×10 6, 33×10-6 and 22×10-6, respectively. The isothermal oxidation behavior of the alloys at 1200° C was investigated and the extent of S segregation at the scalee alloy interface was determined by scanning Auger microscopy. S-doping had no significant effect on the phase transformation rate from q- to a-Al2O3, while the addition of Dy retarded this process. For the Sdoped alloy, scale rumpling occurred only after 2 h thermal exposure and numerous large voids were observed at the scalee alloy interface where S segregated. 16Natural interface-mediated self-assembly of graphene-isolatednanocrystals for plasmonic arrays construction and personalized information acquisition显示文摘As Interface mediated self-assembly of nanocrystals provide excellent strategy for sensing,catalysis or photonics,the construction of innovative interfaces and development of versatile strategies for nanocrystal synthesis are urgently needed.Herein,latent fingerprints(LFPs),the most common markers for human identity,are used as naturally accessible interface for organization of graphene isolated nanocrystals(GINs).Excitingly,the selective adsorption of GINs on lipidic ridge provides a universal approach for the in-situ construction of the plasmonic arrays.Such system with intrinsic chrominance and Raman signal enables the high resolution colorimetric and surfaced-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS)dual-mode imaging,which can detail the structures of the LFPs from 1st to 3rd level even the LFPs are shielded.Furthermore,the interface can be constructed on diverse materials by a simple finger-pressing process and the densely packed arrays can serve as superior SERS substrate for label-free,non-invasive acquisition of molecule information especially residues in LFPs.The combination of chemical composition with detailed structures efficiently recognizes the human identity and could help link it to a crime scene.Overall,the LFPs can act as natural platform for interface mediated localized assembly and personalized information acquisition for forensic science or precise medicine.Shen Wang Tianhuan Peng Shengkai Li Linlin Wang Liang Zhang Zhiwei Yin Xin Xia Xinqi Cai Xiaoxu Cao Long Chen Zhuo Chen Weihong Tan 2022Nano Research2022,15,10:1

20Interferon-beta inhibits human glioma stem cell growth by modulating immune response and cell cycle related signaling pathways显示文摘Malignant Glioma is characterized by strong self-renewal potential and immature differentiation potential.The main reason is that malignant glioma holds key cluster cells,glioma stem cells(GSCs).GSCs contribute to tumorigenesis,tumor progression,recurrence,and treatment resistance.Interferon-beta(IFN-β)is well known for its anti-proliferative efficacy in diverse cancers.IFN-βalso displayed potent antitumor effects in malignant glioma.IFN-βaffect both GSCs and Neural stem cells(NSCs)in the treatment of gliomas.However,the functional comparison,similar or different effects of IFN-βon GSCs and NSCs are rarely reported.Here,we studied the similarities and differences of the responses to IFN-βbetween human GSCs and normal NSCs.We found that IFN-βpreferentially inhibited GSCs over NSCs.The cell body and nucleus size of GSCs increased after IFN-βtreatment,and the genomic analysis revealed the enrichment of the upregulated immune response,cell adhesion genes and down regulated cell cycle,ribosome pathways.Several typical cyclin genes,including cyclin A2(CCNA2),cyclin B1(CCNB1),cyclin B2(CCNB2),and cyclin D1(CCND1),were significantly downregulated in GSCs after IFN-βstimulation.We also found that continuous IFN-βstimulation after passage further enhanced the inhibitory effect.Our study revealed how genetic diversity resulted in differential effects in response to IFN-βtreatment.These results may contribute to improve the applications of IFN-βin anti-cancer immunotherapy.In addition,these results may also help to design more effective pharmacological strategies to target cancer stem cells while protecting normal neural stem cells.Xin-Xin Han Shengkai Jin Li-Ming Yu Min Wang Xin-Yu Hu Dai-Yu Hu Jie Ren Meng-Han Zhang Wei Huang Jia-Jia Deng Qing-Qing Chen Zhengliang Gao Hua He Chunhui Cai 2022Cell Regeneration2022,11,1:0
