| 1 | The tectonic uplift of the Hua Shan in the Cenozoic显示文摘Six granite samples were collected from six difference elevation locations at the Hua Shan in a main ridge of the Qinling Mountain. Apatite and zircon separated from these six samples were dated by the fission track technique. An assessment of the Cenozoic uplift or exhumation rate was obtained from the altitude difference of sampling samples dated by fission track, and from the difference of fission track dates of both apatite and zircon for a sample. The preliminary results suggest that the beginning of uplift of the Hua Shan was as early as 68.2 MaBP and the uplift rates for different periods are 0.02-0.19 mm/a (from the elevation difference) or 0.12-0.16 mm/a (from two mineral fission track dates). The average uplift rate is 0.12 mm/a (from the elevation difference) or 0.14 mm/a (from two mineral fission track dates). | 2 | Temporal and spatial changes of suspended sediment concentration and resuspension in the Yangtze River estuary显示文摘A detailed analysis of suspended sediment concentration (SSC) variations over a year period is presented using the data from 8 stations in the Yangtze River estuary and its adjacent waters, together with a discussion of the hydrodynamic regimes of the estuary. Spatially, the SSC from Xuliujing downwards to Hangzhou Bay increases almost constantly, and the suspended sediment in the inner estuary shows higher concentration in summer than in winter, while in the outer estuary it shows higher concentration in winter than in summer, and the magnitude is greater in the outer estuary than in the inner estuary, greater in the Hangzhou Bay than in the Yangtze River estuary. The sediments discharged by the Yangtze River into the sea are resuspended by marine dynamics included tidal currents and wind waves. Temporally, the SSC shows a pronounced neap-spring tidal cycle and seasonal variations. Furthermore, through the analysis of dynamic mechanism, it is concluded that wave and tidal current are two predominant factors of sediment resuspension and control the distribution and changes of SSC, in which tidal currents control neap-spring tidal cycles, and wind waves control seasonal variations. | 4 | Postsynthetic functionalization of covalent organic frameworks显示文摘Covalent organic frameworks(COFs)have been at the forefront of porous-material research in recent years.With predictable structural compositions and controllable functionalities,the structures and properties of COFs could be controlled to achieve targeted materials.On the other hand,the predesigned structure of COFs allows fruitful postsynthetic modifications to introduce new properties and functions.In this review,the postsynthetic functionalizations of COFs are discussed and their impacts towards structural qualities and performances are comparatively elaborated on.The functionalization involves the formation of specific interactions(covalent or coordination/ionic bonds)and chemical reactions(oxidation/reduction reaction)with pendant groups,skeleton and reactive linkages of COFs.The chemical stability and performance of COFs including catalytic activity,storage,sorption and opto-electronic properties might be enhanced by specific postsynthetic functionalization.The generality of these strategies in terms of chemical reactions and the range of suitable COFs places them as a pivotal role for the development of COF-based smart materials. | Yusran Yusran Xinyu Guan Hui Li Qianrong Fang Shilun Qiu | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,1: | 4 |

| 6 | On-chip structure-switching aptamer-modified magnetic nanobeads for the continuous monitoring of interferon-gamma ex vivo显示文摘Cytokines are cell signaling molecules that indicate the health status of the body.In this study,we developed a microfluidic device integrated with structure-switching aptamers capable of continuously tracking the concentration of the cytokine interferon gamma(IFN-γ)in cell culture medium and blood serum.First,a ferrocene(Fc)-labeled structure-switching signaling aptamer with a hairpin structure targeting IFN-γwas immobilized on magnetic nanobeads by the strongest noncovalent interactions between streptavidin and biotin.The aptamer-modified magnetic nanobeads were trapped on a customized microfluidic chip by a magnetic field to form the sensing interface.The binding of IFN-γcould trigger the hairpin structure of the aptamer to unfold,pushing Fc redox molecules away from the sensing interface and consequently switching off the electrochemical signal.The change in the redox current of Fc was quantitatively related to the concentration of IFN-γin a linear range of 10–500 pg mL^(−1)and with the lowest detection limit of 6 pgmL^(−1).This microfluidic device was specific to IFN-γin the presence of overabundant serum proteins and allowed the continuous monitoring of IFN-γwithout adding exogenous reagents.It provided a universal point-of-care biosensing platform for the real-time detection of a spectrum of analytes. | Guozhen Liu Chaomin Cao Shengnan Ni Shilun Feng Hui Wei | 2019 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2019,5,1: | 3 |
| 7 | Angiogenesis in hepatocellular carcinoma:mechanisms and anti-angiogenic therapies显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the fourth leading cause of cancer-associated death worldwide.Angiogenesis,the process of formation of new blood vessels,is required for cancer cells to obtain nutrients and oxygen.HCC is a typical hypervascular solid tumor with an aberrant vascular network and angiogenesis that contribute to its growth,progression,invasion,and metastasis.Current anti-angiogenic therapies target mainly tyrosine kinases,vascular endothelial growth factor receptor(VEGFR),and plateletderived growth factor receptor(PDGFR),and are considered effective strategies for HCC,particularly advanced HCC.However,because the survival benefits conferred by these anti-angiogenic therapies are modest,new anti-angiogenic targets must be identified.Several recent studies have determined the underlying molecular mechanisms,including pro-angiogenic factors secreted by HCC cells,the tumor microenvironment,and cancer stem cells.In this review,we summarize the roles of pro-angiogenic factors;the involvement of endothelial cells,hepatic stellate cells,tumor-associated macrophages,and tumor-associated neutrophils present in the tumor microenvironment;and the regulatory influence of cancer stem cells on angiogenesis in HCC.Furthermore,we discuss some of the clinically approved anti-angiogenic therapies and potential novel therapeutic targets for angiogenesis in HCC.A better understanding of the mechanisms underlying angiogenesis may lead to the development of more optimized anti-angiogenic treatment modalities for HCC. | Changyu Yao Shilun Wu Jian Kong Yiwen Sun Yannan Bai Ruhang Zhu Zhuxin Li Wenbing Sun Lemin Zheng | 2023 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2023,20,1: | 3 |
| 8 | A 3D-printed modular magnetic digital microfluidic architecture for on-demand bioanalysis显示文摘Magnetic digital microfluidics(MDM)manipulates fluids in the form of droplets on an open substrate,and incorporates surface energy traps(SETs)to facilitate the droplet manipulation.Conventional MDM devices are fabricated monolithically,which makes it difficult to modify the device configuration without completely overhauling the original design.In this paper,we present a modular MDM architecture that enables rapid on-demand configuration and re-configuration of MDM platforms for customized bioanalyses.Each modular component contains a SET and a Lego-like antistud that fits onto a base board with Lego-like studs.We illustrate the versatility of the modular MDM architecture in biomarker sensing,pathogen identification,antibiotic resistance determination,and biochemical quantification by demonstrating immunoassays,phenotypical assays and enzymatic assays on various modular MDM platforms configured on demand to accomplish the fluidic operations required by assorted bioanalytical assays.The modular MDM architecture promises great potential for point-of-care diagnostics by offering on-demand customization of testing platforms for various categories of diagnostic assays.It also provides a new avenue for microfluidic assay development with its high configurability which would significantly reduce the time and cost of the development cycle. | Pojchanun Kanitthamniyom Aiwu Zhou Shilun Feng Aiqun Liu Shawn Vasoo Yi Zhang | 2020 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1: | 3 |

| 11 | Circular BANP knockdown inhibits the malignant progression of residual hepatocellular carcinoma after insufficient radiofrequency ablation显示文摘Background:Circular RNAs(circRNAs)are endogenous non-coding RNAs,some of which have pathological roles.The current study aimed to explore the role of circRNA BTG3-associated nuclear protein(circ-BANP)binding with let-7f-5p and its regulation of the toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)signaling pathway in residual hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)after insufficient radiofrequency ablation(RFA).Methods:Circ-BANP,let-7f-5p,and TLR4 expressions in HCC samples were assessed using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)and Western blotting.Bioinformatics prediction,RNA pull-down assay,and dual luciferase reporter gene assay were used to analyze the relationships among circ-BANP,let-7f-5p,and TLR4.Huh7 cells were used to generate an in vitro model of residual HCC,defined as Huh7-H cells,which were transfected with either a plasmid or the sequence of circ-BANP,let-7f-5p,or TLR4.Expression of circ-BANP,let-7f-5p,and TLR4 mRNA was determined by RT-qPCR.TLR4,STAT3,p-STAT3,vascular endothelial growth factor A,vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2,and epithelialmesenchymal transformation(EMT)-related factors proteins were determined by Western blotting.Cell proliferation was determined by cell counting kit-8 and 5-Ethynyl-2’-deoxyuridine(EdU)assay and cell migration and invasion by Transwell assay.Animal studies were performed by inducing xenograft tumors in nude mice.Results:Circ-BANP and TLR4 mRNAs were upregulated in HCC tissues(the fold change for circ-BANP was 1.958 and that for TLR4 was 1.736 relative to para-tumors)and expression further increased following insufficient RFA(fold change for circBANP was 2.407 and that of TLR4 was 2.224 relative to para-tumors).Expression of let-7f-5p showed an opposite tendency(fold change for let-7f-5p in HCC tissues was 0.491 and that in tumors after insufficient RFA was 0.300 relative to paratumors).Competitive binding of circ-BANP to let-7f-5p was demonstrated and TLR4 was identified as a target of let-7f-5p(P<0.01).Knockdown of circ-BANP or elevation of let-7f-5p expression inhibited the TLR4/STAT3 signaling pathway,proliferation,invasion,migration,angiogenesis,and EMT in Huh7 and Huh7-H cells(P<0.01).The effects induced by circBANP knockdown were reversed by let-7f-5p inhibition.Overexpression of TLR4 reversed the impact of let-7f-5p upregulation on the cells(P<0.01).Silencing of circ-BANP inhibited the in vivo growth of residual HCC cells after insufficient RFA(P<0.01).Conclusions:Knockdown of circ-BANP upregulated let-7f-5p to inhibit proliferation,migration,and EMT formation in residual HCC remaining after insufficient RFA.Effects occur via regulation of the TLR4/STAT3 signaling pathway. | Guoming Li Jian Kong Shuying Dong Haigang Niu Shilun Wu Wenbing Sun | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,13: | 2 |

| 18 | Quasi-Three-Dimensional Cyclotriphosphazene-Based Covalent Organic Framework Nanosheet for Efficient Oxygen Reduction显示文摘Metal-free carbon-based materials are considered as promising oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalysts for clean energy conversion,and their highly dense and exposed carbon active sites are crucial for efficient ORR.In this work,two unique quasi-three-dimensional cyclotriphosphazene-based covalent organic frameworks(Q3CTP-COFs)and their nanosheets were successfully synthesized and applied as ORR electrocatalysts.The abundant electrophilic structure in Q3CTP-COFs induces a high density of carbon active sites,and the unique bilayer stacking of[6+3]imine-linked backbone facilitates the exposure of active carbon sites and accelerates mass diffusion during ORR.In particular,bulk Q3CTP-COFs can be easily exfoliated into thin COF nanosheets(NSs)due to the weak interlayerπ-πinteractions.Q3CTP-COF NSs exhibit highly efficient ORR catalytic activity(half-wave potential of 0.72 V vs.RHE in alkaline electrolyte),which is one of the best COF-based ORR electrocatalysts reported so far.Furthermore,Q3CTP-COF NSs can serve as a promising cathode for Zn-air batteries(delivered power density of 156 mW cm-2 at 300 mA cm^(-2)).This judicious design and accurate synthesis of such COFs with highly dense and exposed active sites and their nanosheets will promote the development of metal-free carbon-based electrocatalysts. | Jianhong Chang Cuiyan Li Xiaoxia Wang Daohao Li Jie Zhang Xiaoming Yu Hui Li Xiangdong Yao Valentin Valtchev Shilun Qiu Qianrong Fang | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,9: | 1 |
