1Association of genotypes of rs671 within ALDH2 with risk for gastric cardia adenocarcinoma in the Chinese Han population in high-and low-incidence areas显示文摘Objective: This study aimed to determine if gastric cardia adenocarcinoma(GCA) risk was associated with the lys(A or *2) allele at the rs671(glu504lys) polymorphism within the aldehyde dehydrogenase 2(ALDH2) gene in a Chinese Han population. We also aimed to investigate ALDH2 genotypic distributions between subjects from high- and low-incidence areas for both GCA and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).Methods: We designed a case-control study including 2,686 patients with GCA and 3,675 control subjects from high- and lowincidence areas for both GCA and ESCC in China. Taq Man allele discrimination assay was used to genotype the rs671 polymorphism. χ~2 test and binary logistic regression analysis were used to estimate the odds ratios for the development of GCA,and multivariate ordinal logistic regression was used to analyze ALDH2 genotypic distributions among different groups.Results: Compared with ALDH2*1/*1 homozygotes, ALDH2*1/*2 and ALDH2*2/*2 carriers did not increase the risk for GCA in the Chinese Han population(P>0.05). Interestingly, the ratio of homozygous or heterozygous ALDH2 *2 carriers in highincidence areas for both GCA and ESCC was lower than that in low-incidence areas(P<0.001).Conclusions: Genotypes of rs671 at ALDH2 may not increase GCA susceptibility in Chinese Han populations. In addition, the ALDH2 genotypic distribution differs between Chinese Han populations from high- and low-incidence areas for both GCA and ESCC. 2Isolation,Purification and Bioactivities of Polysaccharides from Irpex lacteus显示文摘Irpex lacteus has been widely used for treating chronic glomerulonephritis as a traditional Chinese medicine.Seven water-soluble polysaccharide fractions(ILN I,ILN II,ILN III,ILA I,ILA II,ILB I and ILB II) were isolated and purified from Irpex lacteus by hot-water extraction,deproteinization,decolorization,dicthy laminoethyl(DEAE)-cellulose ion exchange and sephadex G100 chromatographies,respectively.The average molecular weights and monosaccharide composition of these polysaccharide fractions greatly differed from each other.The antitumor and antinephritis activities of the seven polysaccharide fractions were evaluated.It was found that ILN III displayed significant inhibition effects on both humar hepatocellular liver carcinoma(HepG2) and hentietta lacks(HeLa) tumor cells with IC 50 values of 60.95 and 99.95 μg/mL,respectively.ILA I exhibited significant inhibition effects on murine mesangial cells(HBZT-1) with an IC 50 value of 185.06 μg/mL.The inhibition effects of other polysaccharide fractions on these three cells were significantly different.These results suggest that the polysaccharide fractions isolated from Irpex lacteus have potential antitumor and antinephritis activities.ZHANG Na LIU Yan LUJia-hui WANG Juan YANG Shuang ZHANG Nan MENG Qing-fan TENG Li-rong 2012Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2012,28,2:5
3In-situ fabrication of dual porous titanium dioxide films as anode for carbon cathode based perovskite solar cell显示文摘We develop a dual porous(DP) TiO_2 film for the electron transporting layer(ETL) in carbon cathode based perovskite solar cells(C-PSCs). The DP TiO_2 film was synthesized via a facile PS-templated method with the thickness being controlled by the spin-coating speed. It was found that there is an optimum DP TiO_2 film thickness for achieving an effective ETL, a suitable perovskite/TiO_2 interface, an efficient light harvester and thus a high performance C-PSC. In particular, such a DP TiO_2 film can act as a scaffold for complete-filling of the pores with perovskite and for forming high-quality perovskite crystals that are seamlessly interfaced with Ti_O2 to enhance interfacial charge injection. 7Nanoparticle‑Loaded Polarized‑Macrophages for Enhanced Tumor Targeting and Cell‑Chemotherapy显示文摘Cell therapy is a promising strategy for cancer therapy.However,its therapeutic efficiency remains limited due to the complex and immunosuppressive nature of tumor microenvironments.In this study,the“cell-chemotherapy”strategy was presented to enhance antitumor efficacy.M1-type macrophages,which are therapeutic immune cells with both of immunotherapeutic ability and targeting ability,carried sorafenib(SF)-loaded lipid nanoparticles(M1/SLNPs)were developed.M1-type macrophages were used both as therapeutic tool to provide immunotherapy and as delivery vessel to target deliver SF to tumor tissues for chemotherapy simultaneously.M1-type macrophages were obtained by polarizing macrophages using lipopolysaccharide,and M1/SLNPs were obtained by incubating M1-type macrophages with SLNP.Tumor accumulation of M1/SLNP was increased compared with SLNP(p<0.01),which proved M1/SLNP could enhance tumor targeting of SF.An increased ratio of M1-type macrophages to M2-type macrophages,and the CD3^+CD4^+T cells and CD3^+CD8^+T cell quantities in tumor tissues after treatment with M1/SLNP indicated M1/SLNP could relieve the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironments.The tumor volumes in the M1/SLNP group were significantly smaller than those in the SLNP group(p<0.01),indicating M1/SLNP exhibited enhanced antitumor efficacy.Consequently,M1/SLNP showed great potential as a novel cellchemotherapeutic strategy combining both cell therapy and targeting chemotherapy.Teng Hou Tianqi Wang Weiwei Mu Rui Yang Shuang Liang Zipeng Zhang Shunli Fu Tong Gao Yongjun Liu Na Zhang 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,1:1

9Transcriptome analysis of salt-stress response in three seedling tissues of common wheat显示文摘Xiaoyan 60(XY60) is a new wheat variety bred in the laboratory of Zhensheng Li.After salt treatment, seedlings of XY60 maintain green leaves and produce longer roots than the high yielding cultivar Zhongmai 175(ZM175).To explain these different phenotypes we carried out an RNA-Seq analysis using 12 samples from three tissues of both varieties subjected to salt and control treatments.By comparing data from the salt treated plants with the control, 703, 979, and 1197 differentially expressed genes(DEGs) were detected in new leaves, old leaves, and roots of XY60, respectively.The corresponding numbers for ZM175 were 613, 1401, and 1301.The most significantly enriched Gene Ontology(GO) terms and KEGG pathways were associated with polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA) metabolism in both new and old leaves from XY60.They were associated with photosynthesis and energy metabolism in ZM175.The most significantly enriched KEGG pathway in roots of both varieties was “glucosinolate biosynthesis”.In addition, jasmonic acid(JA) concentration in XY60 was higher than in ZM175, although it increased significantly in both varieties following salt treatment.Trends in relative expression levels of AOS, MYC2, and JAZ revealed by qRT-PCR were concordant with those from RNA-Seq.Our results suggest that PUFAs may contribute to salt tolerance in common wheat by enhancing the photosynthetic system and JA-related pathways.Qiaoling Luo Wan Teng Shuang Fang Hongwei Li Bin Li Jinfang Chu Zhensheng Li Qi Zheng 2019The Crop Journal2019,7,3:1
10Congenital tuberculosis with tuberculous meningitis and situs inversus totalis:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Congenital tuberculosis(TB),tuberculous meningitis,and situs inversus totalis are rare diseases.We here report a patient who simultaneously suffered from these three rare diseases.There is currently no such report in the literature.Congenital TB is easily misdiagnosed and has a high case fatality rate.Timely anti-TB treatment is required.CASE SUMMARY A 19-day-old male newborn was admitted to hospital due to a fever for 6 h.His blood tests and chest X-rays suggested infection,and he was initially considered to have neonatal pneumonia and sepsis.He did not respond to conventional antiinfective treatment.Finally,Mycobacterium tuberculosis was found in sputum lavage fluid on the 10th day after admission.In addition,the mother's tuberculin skin test was positive,with an induration of 22 mm,and her pelvic computed tomography scan suggested the possibility of tuberculous pelvic inflammatory disease.The child was diagnosed with congenital TB and immediately managed with anti-TB therapy and symptomatic supportive treatment.However,the infant's condition gradually worsened and he developed severe tuberculous pneumonia and tuberculous meningitis,and eventually died of respiratory failure.CONCLUSION If conventional anti-infective treatment is ineffective in neonatal pneumonia,anti-TB treatment should be considered.Hu Lin Shuang Teng Zhong Wang Qi-Yu Liu 2022World Journal of Clinical Cases2022,10,16:1

13Synthesis and Metabolism of 5-hydroxytryptamine in Peripheral Circulatory System of Suckling Piglets显示文摘[Objective] To find the rule of 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) synthesis and metabolism in peripheral blood of suckling piglets with aging.[Method] All of 15 British Large White pigs at 0,5 and 15 d of age were selected as experimental animals,and their serumal concentrations of L-tryptophan(L-Trp),5-HT and 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid(5-HIAA) in peripheral circulatory system were determined synchronously by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method with UV.[Result] The concentration of L-Trp was(16.92±1.74) μmol/L at birth,(59.94±10.88) μmol/L at 5 d of age and(70.42±6.48) μmol/L at 15 d of age.The concentration of 5-HT was(12.85±1.79) μmol/L at birth,(4.81±2.05) μmol/L at 5 d of age and(5.49±1.09) μmol/L at 15 d of age.While 5-HIAA,the metabolic product of 5-HT,was not detected at all the samples selected.[Conclusion] The L-Trp concentration of suckling piglets increase significantly with aging(P<0.05).While the concentration of 5-HT and the conversion ratio of L-Trp to 5-HT are both highest at birth(P<0.05) and keep stable at 5 and 15 d of age.ZHANG Han ZHANG Tao WANG Lei ZHANG Shuang WANG An-ru TENG Ke-dao 2009Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2009,1,11:0
14Privacy-Preserving Top-k Keyword Similarity Search over Outsourced Cloud Data显示文摘In this paper,we study the problem of privacy-preserving top-k keyword similarity search over outsourced cloud data.Taking edit distance as a measure of similarity,we first build up the similarity keyword sets for all the keywords in the data collection.We then calculate the relevance scores of the elements in the similarity keyword sets by the widely used tf-idf theory.Leveraging both the similarity keyword sets and the relevance scores,we present a new secure and efficient treebased index structure for privacy-preserving top-k keyword similarity search.To prevent potential statistical attacks,we also introduce a two-server model to separate the association between the index structure and the data collection in cloud servers.Thorough analysis is given on the validity of search functionality and formal security proofs are presented for the privacy guarantee of our solution.Experimental results on real-world data sets further demonstrate the availability and efficiency of our solution.TENG Yiping CHENG Xiang SU Sen WANG Yulong SHUANG Kai 2015China Communications2015,12,12:0
15Immunohistochemical analysis of PD-L1 and tumor-infiltrating immune cells expression in the tumor microenvironment of primary signet ring cell carcinoma of the prostate显示文摘Primary signet ring cell carcinoma(SRCC)of the prostate is a rare neoplasm.However,its potential tumorigenic mechanism,clinicopathological features,and prognostic outcome have not been systematically described.To determine the pathogenic mechanism,we detected distributions of programmed cell death-ligand 1(PD-L1),programmed death 1(PD-1),and cellular components in the tumor microenvironment,including tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes(CD4 and CD8),tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs;CD163 and CD68),and tumor-associated fibroblasts(vimentin and alpha-smooth muscle actin[α-SMA]),in tumor tissues from four patients with primary prostatic SRCC compared with corresponding adjacent tissues and tumor tissues from 30 patients with prostate adenocarcinoma(PCa)by immunohistochemical staining.We found higher expression of PD-L1,CD163,and CD68 in primary SRCC specimens than that in both corresponding adjacent nontumor specimens and PCa specimens with different Gleason scores,indicating that TAMs may participate in the malignant biological behavior of primary SRCC of the prostate.For further analysis,we searched electronic journal databases and Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results(SEER)to identify 200 eligible patients including our four cases.According to Kaplan–Meier survival curve analysis,patients<68 years old,with radical prostatectomy(RP),Gleason score of 7–8,and lower clinical stage had longer overall survival(OS).Moreover,Cox multivariate analysis indicated that race(hazard ratio[HR]=1.422),surgical approach(HR=1.654),and Gleason score(HR=2.162)were independent prognostic factors for OS.Therefore,primary SRCC of the prostate represents a distinct and aggressive subtype of prostate cancer associated with a higher distribution of PD-L1 and TAMs,which warrants further clinical investigation.Qi-Liang Teng Xin-Rui Yang Shuang Wen Zhi-Hong Dai Hong-Long Wang Tian-Qing Liu Liang Wang Bo Fan Zhi-Yu Liu 2022Asian Journal of Andrology2022,24,5:0

17Gene characterization and phylogenetic analysis of four mitochondrial genomes in Caenogastropoda显示文摘Caenogastropoda is a highly diverse group,containing~60%of all existing gastropods.Species in this subclass predominantly inhabit marine environments and have a high ecological and economic value.Owing to the increase in relevant phylogenetic studies,our understanding of between species relatedness in Caenogastropoda has improved.However,the biodiversity,taxonomic status,and phylogenetic relationships of this group remain unclear.In the present study,we performed next-generation sequencing of four complete mitochondrial genomes from three families(Buccinidae,Columbellidae,and Cypraeidae)and the four mitogenomes were classical circular structures,with a length of 16177 bp in Volutharpa ampullacea,16244 bp in Mitrella albuginosa,16926bp in Mauritia arabica asiatica and 15422 bp in Erronea errones.Base composition analysis indicated that whole sequences were biased toward A and T.Then compared them with 171 complete mitochondrial genomes of Caenogastropoda.The phylogenetic relationship of Caenogastropoda derived from Maximum Likelihood(ML)and Bayesian Inference(BI)trees constructed based on CDS sequences was consistent with the results of traditional morphological analysis,with all three families showing close relationships.This study supported Caenogastropoda at the molecular level as a separate clade of Mollusca.According to our divergence time estimations,Caenogastropoda was formed during the middle Triassic period(~247.2–237 Ma).Our novel mitochondrial genomes provide evidence for the speciation of Caenogastropoda in addition to elucidating the mitochondrial genomic evolution of this subclass.Jiangyong Qu Wanqi Yang Xindong Teng Li Xu Dachuan Zhang Zhikai Xing Shuang Wang Xiumei Liu Lijun Wang Xumin Wang 2024Acta Oceanologica Sinica2024,43,2:0
18Blockage of the Deep-Sea Mining Pump Transporting Large Particles with Different Sphericity显示文摘The present study aims to plumb blockage of the deep-sea mining pump transporting large particles with different shapes. A numerical work was performed through combining the computational fluid dynamics(CFD) technique and the discrete element method(DEM). Six particle shapes with sphericity ranging from 0.67 to 1.0 were selected. A velocity triangle is built with the absolute, relative, and circumferential velocities of particles. Velocity triangles with absolute velocity angles ranging from 90° to 180° prevail in the first-stage impeller. With declining sphericity, more particles follow the velocity triangle with absolute velocity angles ranging from 0° to 90°, which weakens the ability of particles to pass through the flow passage. Furthermore, the forces acting on the particles traveling in the impeller passage are analyzed. Large particles, especially non-spherical ones, suffer from high centrifugal force and therefore move along the suction surface of the impeller blades. Non-spherical particles undergo great drag force as a result of large surface area. The distribution of drag force angles is featured by two peaks, and one vanishes due to blockage.As particle sphericity declines, both magnitude and angle of the pressure gradient force decrease.
