1Rice CYP703A3, a cytochrome P450 hydroxylase, is essential for development of anther cuticle and pollen exine显示文摘Anther cuticle and pollen exine act as protective envelopes for the male gametophyte or pollen grain, but the mechanism underlying the synthesis of these lipidic polymers remains unclear. Previously, a tapetum‐expressed CYP703A3, a putative cytochrome P450 fatty acid hydroxylase, was shown to be essential for male fertility in rice(Oryza sativa L.). However,the biochemical and biological roles of CYP703A3 has not been characterized. Here, we observed that cyp703a3‐2 caused by one base insertion in CYP703A3 displays defective pollen exine and anther epicuticular layer, which differs from Arabidopsis cyp703a2 in which only defective pollen exine occurs. Consistently, chemical composition assay showed that levels of cutin monomers and wax components were dramatically reduced in cyp703a3‐2 anthers. Unlike the wide range of substrates of Arabidopsis CYP703A2, CYP703A3 functions as an in‐chain hydroxylase only for a specific substrate, lauric acid, preferably generating 7‐hydroxylated lauric acid. Moreover, chromatin immunoprecipitation and expression analyses revealed that the expression of CYP703A3 is directly regulated by Tapetum Degeneration Retardation, a known regulator of tapetum PCD and pollen exine formation. 3Microstructure, Microsegregation, and Mechanical Properties of Directional Solidified Mg–3.0Nd–1.5Gd Alloy显示文摘The microstructure, microsegregation, and mechanical properties of directional solidified Mg–3.0Nd–1.5Gd ternary alloys were experimentally studied. Experimental results showed that the solidification microstructure was composed of dendrite primary a(Mg) phase and interdendritic a(Mg) ? Mg12(Nd, Gd) eutectic and Mg5 Gd phase. The primary dendrite arm spacing k1 and secondary dendrite arm spacing k2 were found to be depended on the cooling rate R in the form k1= 8.0415 9 10-6R-0.279 and k2= 6.8883 9 10-6R-0.205, respectively, under the constant temperature gradient of40 K/mm and in the region of cooling rates from 0.4 to 4 K/s. The concentration profiles of Nd and Gd elements calculated by Scheil model were found to be deviated from the ones measured by EPMA to varying degrees, due to ignorance of the back diffusion of the solutes Nd and Gd within a(Mg) matrix. And microsegregation of Gd depended more on the growth rate, compared with Nd microsegregation. 5Regulatory network and genetic interactions established by OsMADS34 in rice inflorescence and spikelet morphogenesis显示文摘Grasses display highly diversified inflorescence architectures that differ in the arrangement of spikelets and flowers and determine cereal yields. However, the molecular basis underlying grass inflorescence morphogenesis remains largely unknown. Here we investigate the role of a functionally diversified SEPALLATA MADS-box transcription factor, OsMADS34, in regulating rice(Oryza sativa L.)inflorescence and spikelet development. Microarray analysis showed that, at the very early stages of inflorescence formation, dysfunction of OsMADS34 caused altered expression of 379 genes that are associated with protein modification and degradation, transcriptional regulation,signaling and metabolism activity. Genetic analysis revealed that OsMADS34 controls different aspects of inflorescence structure, branching and meristem activity synergistically with LAX PANICLE1(LAX1) and FLORAL ORGAN NUMBER4(FON4), as evidenced by the enhanced phenotypes of osmads34 lax1 and osmads34 fon4 compared with the single mutants. Additionally, double mutant between osmads34 and the sterile lemma defective mutant elongated empty glume(ele) displayed an enhanced phenotype, that is,longer and wider sterile lemmas that were converted into lemma/palea-like organs, suggesting that ELE and OsMADS34 synergistically control the sterile lemma development. OsMADS34 may act together with OsMADS15 in controlling sterile lemma development. 6An Improved Hybrid Collaborative Filtering Algorithm Based on Tags and Time Factor显示文摘The Collaborative Filtering(CF) recommendation algorithm, one of the most popular algorithms in Recommendation Systems(RS), mainly includes memory-based and model-based methods. When performing rating prediction using a memory-based method, the approach used to measure the similarity between users or items can significantly influence the recommendation performance. Traditional CFs suffer from data sparsity when making recommendations based on a rating matrix, and cannot effectively capture changes in user interest. In this paper, we propose an improved hybrid collaborative filtering algorithm based on tags and a time factor(TTHybridCF), which fully utilizes tag information that characterizes users and items. This algorithm utilizes both tag and rating information to calculate the similarity between users or items. In addition, we introduce a time weighting factor to measure user interest, which changes over time. 9Microstructure evolution,mechanical properties and diffusion behaviour of Mg-6Zn-2Gd-0.5Zr alloy during homogenization显示文摘The microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of Mg-6 Zn-2 Gd-0.5 Zr alloy during homogenization treatment were investigated. The as-cast alloy was found to be composed of dendritic primaryα-Mg matrix, α-Mg +W(Mg_3Zn_3Gd_2) eutectic along grain boundaries, and icosahedral quasicrystalline I(Mg_3Zn_6Gd) phase within α-Mg matrix. During homogenization process, α-Mg +W(Mg_3Zn_3Gd_2) eutectic and I phase gradually dissolved into a-Mg matrix, while some rod-like rare earth hydrides(GdH2)formed within α-Mg matrix. Both the tensile yield strength and the elongation showed a similar tendency as a function of homogenization temperature and holding time. The optimized homogenization parameter was determined to be 505℃ for 16 h according to the microstructure evolution. 12Transcriptome profiling reveals phase-specific gene expression in the developing barley inflorescence显示文摘The shape of an inflorescence varies among cereals,ranging from a highly branched panicle in rice to a much more compact spike in barley(Hordeum vulgare L.)and wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).However,little is known about the molecular basis of cereal inflorescence architecture.We profiled transcriptomes at three developmental stages of the barley main shoot apex—spikelet initiation,floral organ differentiation,and floral organ growth—and compared them with those from vegetative seedling tissue.Transcript analyses identified 3688 genes differentially transcribed between the three meristem stages,with a further 1394 genes preferentially expressed in reproductive compared with vegetative tissue.Coexpression assembly and Gene Ontology analysis classified these 4888 genes into 28 clusters,revealing distinct patterns for genes such as transcription factors,histone modification,and cell-cycle progression specific for each stage of inflorescence development.We also compared expression patterns of VRS(SIX-ROWED SPIKE)genes and auxin-,gibberellic acid-and cytokinin-associated genes between two-rowed and six-rowed barley to describe regulators of lateral spikelet fertility.Our findings reveal barley inflorescence phase-specific gene expression,identify new candidate genes that regulate barley meristem activities and flower development,and provide a new genetic resource for further dissection of the molecular mechanisms of spike development.Huiran Liu Gang Li Xiujuan Yang Hendrik N.J.Kuijer Wanqi Liang Dabing Zhang 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,1:1

14Effect of the precipitation state on high temperature tensile and creep behaviors of Mg-15Gd alloy显示文摘Due to the effective precipitation strengthening effect of the β phase, Mg-Gd alloys exhibit excellent room temperature mechanical behaviors. However, when served at high temperatures, the metastable β phase will transform to other phases, resulting in severe performance degradation. In this study, we investigated the effect of precipitation state achieved by different heat treatments on high temperature tensile and creep behaviors of the Mg-15Gd alloy by comparing the properties of the as-cast, solid-solutioned(T4) and peak-aged(T6) alloys. The results showed that the tensile mechanical properties of the T6 alloy were always highest from room temperature to 300 ℃, in spite of an abnormal strength increase with temperature existed in the T4 alloy. For tensile creep properties, the T6 alloy exhibited the lowest steady creep rate below 235 ℃ while the T4 alloy possessed the best properties above 260 ℃. Microstructure characterization revealed that the transition was caused by the stress-promoted precipitation of β phase in the T4 alloy and rapid phase transformation in the T6 alloy at high temperatures. At 260 ℃, the calculated stress exponent n was 3.1 and 2.8 for the T4 and T6 alloys, respectively, suggesting the creep deformation mechanism was dislocation slip, which was further confirmed by the microstructure after creeping. 15Electromagnetic wave absorption performance of Ti_(2)O_(3)and vacancy enhancement effective bandwidth显示文摘The microwave absorption properties of Ti_(2)O_(3)were systematically investigated.Experimental results indicate that Ti_(2)O_(3)has microwave absorption performance with a minimum reflection loss value of-37.6 d B at 18.6 GHz and an effective absorption bandwidth(RL<-10 d B)of 2 GHz.Further,vacancy defects were introduced into Ti_(2)O_(3)by carbothermal reduction.Interestingly,the effective absorption bandwidth of Ti_(2)O_(3)with vacancy defects reach 3.2 GHz.First-principles calculations provide evidence that vacancy defects result in the changes of electric dipole state,leading to a wider effective absorption bandwidth.These results have significance in understanding the origin of electromagnetic phenomena and developing electromagnetic wave absorption materials.Xiankai Fu Bo Yang Wanqi Chen Zongbin Li Haile Yan Xiang Zhao Liang Zuo 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,17:0

17Simulation research on control algorithm of differential pressure casting process显示文摘To improve the precision of the filling pressure curve of differential pressure casting controlled with PID controller,the model of differential pressure casting process is established and two pressure-difference control systems using PID algorithm and Dahlin algorithm are separately designed in MATLAB. The scheduled pressure curves controlled with PID algorithm and Dahlin algorithm,respectively,are comparatively simulated in MATLAB. 18An efficient method to engage oxide ceramics in low-temperature interfacial reactions: Microstructure evolution and kinetics behaviors based on supercooling in a transient liquid phase bonding joint显示文摘Ductile transient liquid phase(TLP)bonding joints reinforced by multiple precipitates were produced using novel pre-sintered coatings and Au-Si fillers;therefore,the highest strength of NiTi/sapphire joints brazed at 460℃ for 30 min reached 72 MPa.The pre-sintering process improved the surface-active of sapphire by forming metastable Ti_(3)O and non-stoichiometric Al_(2)O_(3).The typical brazing seam consisted of O-rich compounds,TiSi_(2),and Ti-Ni-Si,wherein the O-rich phase featured different crystallinity depending on the oxygen content.The sapphire/seam interface was either a nanoscale diffusion region or a Si-rich amorphous layer.The breakdown of the Stokes-Einstein relation(SER)occurred,and the deviation from SER increased with a higher cooling rate.The influence of coating thickness was reflected in(i)the supercooling related to the viscosity and fractional exponent of liquids and(ii)the microstructural change of the joint related to the driving force for crystal growth.This work presented a new strategy for joining ceramics to metals at lower temperatures but using the joint at higher temperatures;furthermore,gave an insight into the microstructure evolution and kinetics behaviors based on supercooling in a transient liquid phase bonding joint.Jia Yang Wanqi Zhao Panpan Lin Qiuguang Zhang Xinfei Zhang Tiesong Lin Peng He Yanli Zhuang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,20:0
19Metal–organic framework wafer enabled fast response radiation detection with ultra-low dark current显示文摘Semiconductive metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)have attracted great interest for the electronic applications.However,dark currents of present hybrid organic–inorganic materials are 1000–10,000 times higher than those of commercial inorganic detectors,leading to poor charge transportation.Here,we demonstrate a ZIF-8(Zn(mim)_(2),mim=2-methylimidazolate)wafer with ultra-low dark current of 1.27 pA·mm^(-2) under high electric fields of 322 V·mm^(-1).The isostatic pressing preparation process provides ZIF-8 wafers with good transmittance.Besides,the presence of redox-active metals and small spatial separation between components promotes the charge hopping.The ZIF-8-based semiconductor detector shows promising X-ray detection sensitivity of 70.82μC·Gy^(-1)·cm^(-2) with low doses exposures,contributing to superior X-ray imaging capability with a relatively high spatial resolution of 1.2 lp·mm^(-1).Simultaneously,good peak discrimination with the energy resolution of~43.78%is disclosed when the detector is illuminated by uncollimated 241Am@5.48 MeVα-particles.These results provide a broad prospect of MOFs for future radiation detection applications.Meng Xu Jianxi Liu Wei Wu Yang Chen Donghao Ma Sixin Chen Wanqi Jie Menghua Zhu Yadong Xu 2024Nano Research2024,17,4:0
20Gene characterization and phylogenetic analysis of four mitochondrial genomes in Caenogastropoda显示文摘Caenogastropoda is a highly diverse group,containing~60%of all existing gastropods.Species in this subclass predominantly inhabit marine environments and have a high ecological and economic value.Owing to the increase in relevant phylogenetic studies,our understanding of between species relatedness in Caenogastropoda has improved.However,the biodiversity,taxonomic status,and phylogenetic relationships of this group remain unclear.In the present study,we performed next-generation sequencing of four complete mitochondrial genomes from three families(Buccinidae,Columbellidae,and Cypraeidae)and the four mitogenomes were classical circular structures,with a length of 16177 bp in Volutharpa ampullacea,16244 bp in Mitrella albuginosa,16926bp in Mauritia arabica asiatica and 15422 bp in Erronea errones.Base composition analysis indicated that whole sequences were biased toward A and T.Then compared them with 171 complete mitochondrial genomes of Caenogastropoda.The phylogenetic relationship of Caenogastropoda derived from Maximum Likelihood(ML)and Bayesian Inference(BI)trees constructed based on CDS sequences was consistent with the results of traditional morphological analysis,with all three families showing close relationships.This study supported Caenogastropoda at the molecular level as a separate clade of Mollusca.According to our divergence time estimations,Caenogastropoda was formed during the middle Triassic period(~247.2–237 Ma).Our novel mitochondrial genomes provide evidence for the speciation of Caenogastropoda in addition to elucidating the mitochondrial genomic evolution of this subclass.Jiangyong Qu Wanqi Yang Xindong Teng Li Xu Dachuan Zhang Zhikai Xing Shuang Wang Xiumei Liu Lijun Wang Xumin Wang 2024Acta Oceanologica Sinica2024,43,2:0
