1Multimodality treatment in hepatocellular carcinoma patients with tumor thrombi in portal vein显示文摘AIM To compare the therapeutic effect andsignificances of multimodality treatment forhepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with tumorthrombi in portal vein (PVTT).METHODS HCC patients (n = 147) with tumortrombi in the main portal vein or the first branchof portal vein were divided into four groups bythe several therapeutic methods. There wereconservative treatment group in 18 out ofpatients (group A); and hepatic artery ligation(HAL) and/or hepatic artery infusion (HAl)group in 18 patients (group B), in whompostoberative chemoembolization was doneperiodically; group of removal of HCC with PVTTin 79 (group C) and group of transcatheterhepatic arterial chemoembolization (TACE) orHAl and/or portal vein infusion (PVI) afteroperation in 32 (group D).RESULTS The median survival period was 12months in our series and the 1-, 3-, and 5-yearsurvival rates were 44.3%, 24.5% and 15.2%,respectively. The median survival times were 2,5, 12 and 16 months in group A, B, C and D,respectively. The 1-, 3- and 5-year survival rateswere 5.6%, 0% and 0% in group A; 22.2%,5.6% and 0% in group B; 53.9%, 26.9% and16.6% in group C; 79.3%, 38.9% and 26.8% ingroup D, respectively. 2Wrist-ankle acupuncture and Fluoxetine in the treatment of post-stroke depression: a randomized controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of WAA combined with fluoxetine in the clinical treatment of post-stroke depression(PSD).METHODS: In this randomized, controlled and single-blind trial, 105 PSD patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into three equal groups: Thin wrist-ankle acupuncture(WAA)group(Thin WAA needle + Fluoxetine), Thick WAA group(Thick WAA needle + Fluoxetine), and Sham WAA group(sham WAA needle + Fluoxetine). In this trial, the primary outcome was Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD), while the secondary outcomes included Zung self-rating depression scale(SDS) and World Health Organization Quality of Life BREF(QQL).RESULTS: Ninety nine PSD patients completed all the treatment. The HAMD scores and SDS scores of all the three groups decreased after treatment(P <0.05);thick WAA group and thin WAA group decreased more obviously than the sham WAA group(P < 0.05). There was no significant difference between the QQL scores of the three groups(P >0.05). There was no significant difference in the scores of the three scales between the thick wrist ankle needles and the thin wrist ankle needles(P >0.05).CONCLUSION: The present study showed that WAA combined with fluoxetine can relieve the symptoms of depression after stroke. 3miR-27b-3p/MARCH7 regulates invasion and metastasis of endometrial cancer cells through Snail-mediated pathway显示文摘Ubiquitin E3 ligase membrane-associated RING-CH-type finger 7(MARCH7),also known as axotrophin,was originally identified in mouse embryonic stem cells.MARCH7 is involved in T-cell proliferation,neuronal development,and the immune system.However,its role in endometrial cancer(EC)remains unclear.This study aimed to investigate the role of MARCH7 in EC.Quantitative polymerase chain reaction,immunohistochemistry,and western blot analysis were used to examine the expression of MARCH7,E-cadherin,Snail,and Vimentin in EC cell lines or clinical specimens.The role of MARCH7 in maintaining EC cell malignant phenotype was determined by transwell assay and using xenograft tumor model.Dual-luciferase reporter gene assay was performed to determine whether MARCH7 is an authentic target of miR-27b-3p.Our data showed that the expression level of MARCH7 in EC tissues was higher than that in normal endometrium tissues.The level of MARCH7 was positively associated with that of Snail and Vimentin,clinical stage,and histological grade,while negatively associated with that of E-cadherin.Knockdown of MARCH7 inhibited the invasion and metastasis of EC cells in vitro and in vivo.The opposite effect was observed after overexpressing MARCH7.MARCH7 promoted invasion and metastasis of EC cells via the Snail-mediated pathway.Furthermore,MARCH7 was demonstrated to be an authentic target of miR-27b-3p,and miR-27b-3p decreased the stimulus effect induced by MARCH7.These data indicate that MARCH7 may be an oncogenic factor and a therapeutic target for EC.miR-27b-3p/MARCH7 may also regulate EC cell invasion and metastasis via the Snail-mediated pathway.Ling Liu Jianguo Hu Tinghe Yu Shuang You Yulin Zhang Lina Hu 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,5:6

5Molecular Characterization of Human Respiratory Adenovirus Infection in Children from November 2016 to October 2017 in Xining City, China显示文摘Human adenoviruses (HAdVs) belong to the genus Mastadenovirus, family Adenoviridae, and can cause respiratory tract and gastrointestinal tract infections, as well as ocular infections in humans[1]. Till date, a total of 84 unique genotypes of AdVs have been identified and classified as human Mastadenovirus species A to G, and specific types are often associated with certain clinical symptoms, epidemiological settings, and demographic risk groups[2]. Among these species, members of the species HAdV-B (HAdV-3, HAdV-7, HAdV-11, HAdV-16, HAdV-21, HAdV-34, HAdV-35, HAdV-50, etc), HAdV-C (HAdV-1, HAdV-2, HAdV-5, and HAdV-6), and HAdV-E (HAdV-4) have been generally associated with respiratory infections[3]. 6Octupole corner state in a three-dimensional topological circuit显示文摘Higher-order topological insulators(HOTIs)represent a new family of topological materials featuring quantized bulk polarizations and zero-dimensional corner states.In recent years,zero-dimensional corner states have been demonstrated in two-dimensional systems in the form of quadrupole modes or dipole modes.Due to the challenges in designing and constructing three-dimensional systems,octupole corner modes in 3D have not been observed.In this work,we experimentally investigate octupole topological phases in a three-dimensional electrical circuit,which can be viewed as a cubic lattice version of the Hofstadter model with aπ-flux threading each plaquette.We experimentally observe in our higher-order topological circuit a 0D corner state manifested as a localized impedance peak.The observed corner state in the electrical circuit is induced by the octupole moment of the bulk circuit and is topologically protected by anticommuting spatial symmetries of the circuit lattice.Our work provides a platform for investigating higher-order topological effects in three-dimensional electrical circuits.Shuo Liu Shaojie Ma Qian Zhang Lei Zhang Cheng Yang Oubo You Wenlong Gao Yuanjiang Xiang Tie Jun Cui Shuang Zhang 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:3
7Cronkhite-Canada syndrome complicated with three malignant tumors: a case report and whole exome sequencing analysis显示文摘To the Editor:Cronkhite-Canada syndrome(CCS)is a rare,non-hereditary disease characterized by diffuse gastrointestinal polyposis and ectodermal abnormalities.[1]Although CCS polyps are not considered to be neoplastic,15%to 25%patients have been documented with colorectal or gastric cancer at diagnosis,and up to 40%of patients have been documented with adenomas and adenomatous changes.[2]Extra-gastrointestinal neoplasms have been sporadically reported,but their association with CCS remains under investigation.The underlying mechanism of CCS has been less investigated,with only one whole exome sequencing(WES)study that identified a protein kinase DNA-activated catalytic subunit(PRKDC)DNA variant that might contribute to the pathogenesis.[3]Here,we report a case of CCS that was complicated with three malignant tumors.WES analysis of this case identified certain germline mutations that might provide insight into the pathogenesis.This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Peking Union Medical College Hospital,Peking Union Medical College and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences(No.ZS-1725).Shuang Liu Yan You Dan Chen Jia-Ming Qian Ji Li 2019Chinese Medical Journal2019,,24:2
8The first data release(DR1) of the LAMOST regular survey显示文摘The Large sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope(LAMOST) general survey is a spectroscopic survey that will eventually cover approximately half of the celestial sphere and collect 10 million spectra of stars, galaxies and QSOs. Objects in both the pilot survey and the first year regular survey are included in the LAMOST DR1. The pilot survey started in October 2011 and ended in June 2012, and the data have been released to the public as the LAMOST Pilot Data Release in August 2012. The regular survey started in September 2012, and completed its first year of operation in June 2013. The LAMOST DR1 includes a total of 1202 plates containing 2 955 336 spectra, of which 1 790 879 spectra have observed signalto-noise ratio(SNR) ≥ 10. All data with SNR ≥ 2 are formally released as LAMOST DR1 under the LAMOST data policy. This data release contains a total of 2 204 696 spectra, of which 1 944 329 are stellar spectra, 12 082 are galaxy spectra and 5017 are quasars. The DR1 not only includes spectra, but also three stellar catalogs with measured parameters: late A,FGK-type stars with high quality spectra(1 061 918 entries), A-type stars(100 073 entries), and M-type stars(121 522 entries). This paper introduces the survey design, the observational and instrumental limitations, data reduction and analysis, and some caveats. 9Non-Hermitian Skin Effect in a Non-Hermitian Electrical Circuit显示文摘The conventional bulk-boundary correspondence directly connects the number of topological edge states in a finite system with the topological invariant in the bulk band structure with periodic boundary condition(PBC).However,recent studies show that this principle fails in certain non-Hermitian systems with broken reciprocity,which stems from the non-Hermitian skin effect(NHSE)in the finite system where most of the eigenstates decay exponentially from the system boundary.In this work,we experimentally demonstrate a 1D non-Hermitian topological circuit with broken reciprocity by utilizing the unidirectional coupling feature of the voltage follower module.The topological edge state is observed at the boundary of an open circuit through an impedance spectra measurement between adjacent circuit nodes.We confirm the inapplicability of the conventional bulk-boundary correspondence by comparing the circuit Laplacian between the periodic boundary condition(PBC)and open boundary condition(OBC).Instead,a recently proposed non-Bloch bulk-boundary condition based on a non-Bloch winding number faithfully predicts the number of topological edge states.Shuo Liu Ruiwen Shao Shaojie Ma Lei Zhang Oubo You Haotian Wu Yuan Jiang Xiang Tie Jun Cui Shuang Zhang 2021Research2021,,1:2
10Evaluation and classification of rock heterogeneity based on acoustic emission detection显示文摘For deep rock mechanics and subsurface engineering,accurately characterizing and evaluating rock heterogeneity as well as analyzing the correlation between the heterogeneity and physical and mechanical properties of rocks are critical.This study investigated the characteristics of acoustic emission signals produced in the process of strong and weak phase damage to rocks.The failure mechanisms of the strong and weak phases were analyzed by performing Brazilian splitting tests on different metagabbros and granites.The strong-weak phase ratio of the rocks and the uniformity of their spatial distribution were characterized.Test results show that as the feldspar develops,the strong-phase ratio of the metagabbro increases.However,the spatial distribution of feldspar minerals in the metagabbro becomes less uniform.The mineral spatial distribution uniformity in the altered granite is good;however,its strong-phase ratio is low.Furthermore,the strong-phase ratio of the typical granite is high;however,its mineral spatial distribution uniformity is poor.Moreover,uniaxial and triaxial test results show that the peak strength and elastic modulus of the rocks are related to the strong-weak phase ratio and mineral spatial distribution uniformity of the rocks.This study provides a new analytical method for the mechanical evaluation of deep rocks.Tongzhao Zhang Hongguang Ji Xiaobo Su Shuang You Daolu Quan Zhou Zhang Jinzhe Li 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,12:1
11Dose-dependent effects of lead on cell-cycle arrest, DNA damage, and cyclin D1 expression in primary cultured rat hippocampal neurons显示文摘BACKGROUND: Previous studies have suggested that the hippocampus is one of the neurotoxic target sites for lead. However, the molecular mechanisms of action, including the effect of lead on cell-cycle arrest, remain poorly understood. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of different lead concentrations on cell-cycle arrest, DNA damage, and cyclin D1 expression in primary cultured rat hippocampal neurons. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A randomized, controlled, in vitro experiment was performed at the China Medical University between July 2008 and May 2009. MATERIALS: Antibodies specific to cyclin D1 and actin were synthesized and purified by Santa Cruz Biotechnology, USA. FACStar flow cytometer was purchased from Becton Dickinson, San Jose, California, USA. METHODS: Wistar rat hippocampal neurons were primary cultured for 7 days. Neurons in the control group were treated with 0.01 mol/L phosphate buffered saline. Neurons in the 0.2, 1.0, and 10 μmol/L lead acetate groups were subjected to 0.2, 1.0, and 10 μmol/L lead acetate. Subsequently, hippocampal neurons in each group were cultured for 24 hours. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The effects of lead on cell cycle were measured by flow cytometry, DNA damage was measured using the comet assay, and cyclin D1 expression was measured using Western blot analysis. RESULTS: Treatment of hippocampal neurons with 0.2 μmol/L lead acetate did not significantly alter cell cycle phase distribution, i.e., sub-G1, S, G0/G1, G2/M, whereas treatment with 1.0 and 10 μmol/L lead acetate significantly increased the percentage of S and sub-G1 phase cells (P < 0.05). Olive tail moment in all lead-treated groups and the percentage of DNA in the tail in 1.0 μmol/L and 10 μmol/L lead acetate groups were significantly greater compared with the control group (P < 0.05). In addition, the percentage of tail DNA was greater in the 0.2 μmol/L lead acetate group compared with the control group (P > 0.05). Following incubation with 0.2, 1.0, and 10 μmol/L lead acetate for 24 hours, cyclin D1 expression gradually decreased with exposure to increasing lead acetate concentrations (1.0-10 μmol/L). 12Data release of the LAMOST pilot survey显示文摘This paper describes the data release of the LAMOST pilot survey, which includes data reduction, calibration, spectral analysis, data products and data access. The accuracy of the released data and the information about the FITS headers of spectra are also introduced. 17Triclosan inhibits the activation of human periodontal ligament fibroblasts induced by lipopolysaccharide from Porphyromonas gingivalis显示文摘Periodontitis is a highly prevalent,chronic,non-specific,and immunologically devastating disease of periodontal tissues,caused by microbial infection.This study aims to examine the efficacy and protective mechanism of triclosan(TCS),a bisphenolic,non-cationic component of oral care products,against periodontal inflammation induced by lipopolysaccharide purified from Porphyromonas gingivalis(LPS-PG).TCS markedly downregulated interleukin-6(IL-6),IL-8,and IL-15 in human periodontal ligament fibroblasts(HPDLFs)treated with LPS-PG.By using a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS)approach,318 differentially expressed proteins(161 upregulated and 157 downregulated)were identified in TCS-pretreated HPDLFs.TCS upregulated HSPA5 and HSP90B1 but downregulated HSPA2.Besides,TCS upregulated miR-548i in HPDLFs,which downregulated IL-15.These results indicate that TCS attenuates the activation of HPDLFs and downregulates the inflammatory cytokines through various mechanisms,thus highlighting its protective role in periodontal inflammation.Wei Shu Yanman Zhang Chen Zhang Qiang You Hong Zhou Shuang Wen 2021The Journal of Biomedical Research2021,35,3:1
