| 1 | Multi-objective regulation in autohydrolysis process of corn stover by liquid hot water pretreatment显示文摘Increasing reducing sugars(xylose and glucose) yield for bioethanol from corn stover depends strongly on optimization of pretreatment conditions. The optimum reaction conditions of two-stage liquid hot water(LHW) pretreatment based on total sugars yield were investigated. Under optimal conditions, the recovery of glucose of corn stover after two-stage LHW pretreatment and 72 h enzymatic digestion, reached 89.55%. In addition, acetic acid-rich spent liquor pretreatment and one-stage LHW pretreatment have been carried out to make comparisons with two-stage LHW treatment. Glucose yield 89.55% is superior to the recovery 83.38% using acetic acidrich spent liquor pretreatment or 80.58% using one-stage LHW pretreatment. The production of total sugars was increased by 7.8% when compared with one-stage pretreatment. Moreover, the structural features of the treated corn stover solid residues were also investigated by XRD and SEM technology in order to clarify the effects of the reaction on corn stover. | 3 | Decadal Variation of the Impact of La Nina on the Winter Arctic Stratosphere显示文摘The impact of La Ni?a on the winter Arctic stratosphere has thus far been an ambiguous topic of research. Contradictory results have been reported depending on the La Ni?a events considered. This study shows that this is mainly due to the decadal variation of La Ni?a's impact on the winter Arctic stratosphere since the late 1970 s. Specifically,during the period1951–78,the tropospheric La Ni?a teleconnection exhibits a typical negative Pacific–North America pattern,which strongly inhibits the propagation of the planetary waves from the extratropical troposphere to the stratosphere,and leads to a significantly strengthened stratospheric polar vortex. In contrast,during 1979–2015,the La Ni?a teleconnection shifts eastwards,with an anomalous high concentrated in the northeastern Pacific. The destructive interference of the La Ni?a teleconnection with climatological stationary waves seen in the earlier period reduces greatly,which prevents the drastic reduction of planetary wave activities in the extratropical stratosphere. | 12 | The effect of geometric layout of exit on escape mechanism of crowd显示文摘In dense crowd evacuation,especially in emergencies such as fires,the safe evacuation of large public facilities will face major challenges.At the same time,as cluster congestion tends to occur in the space where the flow rate drops sharply,the superposition of fire incidents and bottleneck areas can easily evolve into malignant disasters and crowd stampedes with serious harm and influence.In this paper,Massmotion based on social force model is used to carry out a numerical simulation on exit position and corner exit form to find out the mechanism and influence law of the slight architectural adjustment on the flow at bottleneck.The results show that the traditional middle exit design is not the best,and the evacuation efficiency of the corner exit is higher than that of the middle exit.Compared with other corner exits,the average time interval between two adjacent persons passing through the bottleneck under the 30°corner exit is the shortest,and the probability of outlet clogging drops the fastest,exceeding 18%of the slowest descending speed.At the 0°corner exit,the waiting time cost of pedestrians is high and the risk of evacuation is high.The outcomes of this work can provide reference for the structural design of the building and the safe evacuation of personnel,so as to improve the evacuation efficiency and safety of pedestrians in the building to some extent. | Jia Li Jinghong Wang Shuangyan Xu Jiaojiao Feng Jiachen Li Zhirong Wang Yan Wang | 2022 | Building Simulation2022,15,4: | 1 |

| 14 | A four-band index for both liquid and solid water and its applications in the Aral Sea Basin显示文摘Various investigations have been conducted to analyze the water-coverage area of the Aral Sea and the Aral Sea Basin(ASB). However, the investigations incorporated considerable uncertainty and the used water indices had misclassification problem, which made different research groups present different results. Thus we first ascertain the boundaries of the ASB, the Syr and Amu river basins as well as their upper, middle and lower reaches. Then a four-band index for both liquid and solid water(ILSW) is proposed to address the misclassification problems of the classic water indices. ILSW is calculated by using the reflectance values of the green, red, near infrared, and thermal infrared bands, which combines the normalized difference water index(NDWI) and land surface temperature(LST) together. Validation results show that the ILSW water index has the highest accuracy by far in the Aral Sea Basin. Our results indicate that annual average decline of the water-coverage area was 963 km^(2) in the southern Aral Sea, whereas the northern Aral Sea has experienced little change. In the meanwhile, permanent ice and snow in upper reach of ASB has retreated considerably. Annual retreating rates of the permanent ice and snow were respectively 6233and 3841 km^(2) in upper reaches of Amu river basin(UARB) and Syr river basin(USRB). One of major reasons is that climate has become warmer in ASB. The climate change has caused serious water deficit problem. The water deficit had an increasing trend since the 1990s and its increasing rates was 3.778 billion m^(3) yearly on average. The total water deficit was 76.967 billion m^(3) on average in the whole area of ASB in the 2010s. However, up reaches of Syr river basin(USRB), a component area of ASB, had water surplus of 25.461 billion m^(3). | 16 | Intraseasonal Variability of Summertime Surface Air Temperature over Mid-High-Latitude Eurasia and Its Prediction Skill in S2S Models显示文摘Features of the dominant modes of surface air temperature(SAT)on the intraseasonal timescale over the mid-highlatitude Eurasia(MHE)during boreal summer(June-September)are investigated based on the ERA5 reanalysis data from 1979 to 2016.The intraseasonal variability(ISV)of SAT over MHE is primarily characterized by an eastward propagation along 60°N,which is found to impact the regional weather in China,including summertime extreme hot and cool events.The forecast skill and potential predictability of the ISV of SAT over MHE are assessed for 5 dynamical models that have participated in the subseasonal-to-seasonal(S2 S)prediction project,by analyzing12 years’(1999-2010)model reforecast/hindcast data.By using the principal component(PC)index of the leading intraseasonal SAT modes as a predictand,we found that the forecast skill for ISV of SAT can reach out to 11-17 days,and the ECMWF model exhibits the best score.All the S2 S models tend to show 1)a relatively higher skill for strong intraseasonal oscillation(ISO)cases,2)a systematic underestimate of the amplitude of the SAT ISV signal,and 3)different skills during different phases of ISO cases.Analysis of potential predictability based on the perfectmodel assumption reveals a 4-6-day skill gap for most models,and the skill gap also varies among different phases of ISO events.The results imply the need for continued development of operational forecasting systems to improve the actual prediction skills for the ISV of SAT over MHE. | Jing CUI Shuangyan YANG Tim LI | 2021 | Journal of Meteorological Research2021,35,5: | 0 |

| 18 | SnTe nanoparticles physicochemically encapsulated by double carbon as conversion-alloying anode materials for superior potassium-ion batteries显示文摘Telluride tin(SnTe)is a promising conversion-alloying anode for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)due to its high theoretical specific capacity induced by multi-electron transport reaction and low operating voltage,whereas huge volume expansion and poor kinetics behavior become key scientific bottleneck limiting the battery performances.Herein,SnTe nanoparticles physicochemically wrapped by graphene and nitrogen-doped carbon(SnTe@rGO@NC)are proposed as anode materials for PIBs.The pre-electrostatic interaction urges the formation of Sn-C and Te-C chemical bonds between SnTe and double carbon to strengthen the interfacial stability and electron transfer,and the conductive architecture with hierarchical encapsulation effect is beneficial to maintaining the electrode integrity and electrochemical dynamics.It is demon-strated from first principles calculations and experimental results that SnTe@rGO@NC contributes fast electron transmission,strong K-ion adsorption,and superior K-ion diffusion capability.Ex-situ characteri-zations uncover that SnTe undergoes conversion-alloying dual-mechanism with the products of K_(2)Te and K_(4)Sn_(23)replied on Sn redox site(23SnTe+50K^(+)+50e^(-)↔K_(4)Sn_(23)+23K_(2)Te).Thus,the SnTe@rGO@NC electrode delivers a high initial charge specific capacity of 243.9 mAh g^(-1)at 50 mA g^(-1),superior rate performance(112.6 mAh g^(-1)at 1.0 A g^(-1)),and outstanding cyclic stability at various current densities. | Ting Li Yikun Wang Qianwen Zhou Lingling Yuan Shuangyan Qiao Meng Ma Zhengqing Liu Shaokun Chong | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,27: | 0 |
