| 1 | An update on transurethral surgery for benign prostatic obstruction显示文摘Clinical benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)is one of the most common cause of lower urinary tract symptoms and transurethral resection of prostate(TURP)has been the gold standard technique for surgical treatment of benign prostate obstruction(BPO)over the last 2 decades.Although monopolar TURP is considered a safe and effective option for surgical management of BPO,there are some disadvantages,namely bleeding,transurethral resection syndrome,incompleteness of treatment.This review aims to highlight these problems,and describe the advances in technology and techniques that have evolved to minimise such complications.With the advent of lasers and bipolar technology,as well as enucleative techniques to remove the prostatic adenoma/adenomata,the problems of bleeding,transurethral resection syndrome and incomplete treatment are significantly minimised.Monopolar TURPwill likely be replaced by such technology and techniques in the near future such that transurethral surgery of the prostate remain a safe and effective option in alleviating the harmful effects of BPO. | Jonathan Shunming Teo Yee Mun Lee Henry Sun Sien Ho | 2017 | Asian Journal of Urology2017,4,3: | 20 |
| 2 | Functional analysis of the larval serum protein gene promoter from silkworm,Bombyx mori.显示文摘The regulation region of larval serum protein gene, Bombyx mori. (BmLSP), consisting of the first intron, the first exon, the central promoter region and 5′-upstream region, is cloned from genomic DNA from the silkworm va-riety of Suju譓inghu. Using PCR and restriction endonu-clease methods, a series of luciferase reporter plasmids, driven by different length of BmLSP promoters, are con-structed. Via the transient expression system in BmN cells, the effects of the regulation elements and foreign insect hor-mones on the BmLSP promoter activity are investigated. The results demonstrate that the promoter activity of BmLSP is 5.8- or 4.4-fold higher than that of BmLSPs whose first in-tron or the element in 5′-upstream region harboring the homologous sequence with the first intron of light-chain fib-roin gene (EHIF) is deleted, respectively, suggesting that both the first intron and EHIF contain the main positive cis-acting elements. However, the inactive mariner transposable ele-ment (MTE) in 5′-upstream region presents a negative effect. Furthermore, the effects of juvenile hormone analogue (JHA) on the BmLSP promoter activity show a typical dose-dependent manner, that is, low concentration treat-ments increase the BmLSP promoter activity and high con-centration treatments decrease it. | 3 | Steering control strategy guide by two preview vision cues显示文摘Vision cues play an important role in states feedback in motion control.However,the existing driver steering models consider little about vision cues utilized by human drivers during their steering procedure.This paper presents a novel steering control strategy based on two preview points(far point and near point).The far point is used to compensate the steering wheel by predicting the upcoming curvature change with respect to the lane,while the near point as vision feedback,which is used to tune the steering wheel by estimating the errors of vehicle states and lane center.To obtain much smoother lateral acceleration during steering,a forward internal model is established using a second-order yaw dynamics system that captures the influence of yaw angular acceleration caused by steering wheel angle.The input parameter of the second-order system is the vision cues of both the near and far points,and the output parameters are the ideal yaw angle and yaw rate.To calculate suitable the steering wheel angle,an adaptive controller is designed using fuzzy sliding technology,which is used as the input of the vehicle system dynamics.Numerical simulation results show that the proposed method performs better than the existing driver steering models in case of imitating human drivers' behavior,and exhibits excellent adaption to the lane curvature change. | SHEN Huan LING Rui MAO JianGuo LI ShunMing | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,9: | 7 |

| 5 | Changes in compressed neurons from dogs with acute and severe cauda equina constrictions following intrathecal injection of brain-derived neurotrophic factor-conjugated polymer nanoparticles显示文摘This study established a dog model of acute multiple cauda equina constriction by experimental constriction injury (48 hours) of the lumbosacral central processes in dorsal root ganglia neurons. The repair effect of intrathecal injection of brain-derived neurotrophic factor with 15 mg encapsulated biodegradable poly(lactide-co-glycolide) nanoparticles on this injury was then analyzed. Dorsal root ganglion cells (L7) of all experimental dogs were analyzed using hematoxylin-eosin staining and immunohistochemistry at 1, 2 and 4 weeks following model induction. Intrathecal injection of brain-derived neurotrophic factor can relieve degeneration and inflammation, and elevate the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor in sensory neurons of compressed dorsal root ganglion. Simultaneously, intrathecal injection of brain-derived neurotrophic factor obviously improved neurological function in the dog model of acute multiple cauda equina constriction. | 7 | Heteroepitaxial growth of thick α-Ga_2O_3 film on sapphire(0001)by MIST-CVD technique显示文摘The 8 μm thick single-crystalline α-Ga2O3 epilayers have been heteroepitaxially grown on sapphire(0001) substrates via mist chemical vapor deposition technique. High resolution X-ray diffraction measurements show that the full-widths-at-halfmaximum(FWHM) of rocking curves for the(0006) and(10-14) planes are 0.024° and 0.24°, and the corresponding densities of screw and edge dislocations are 2.24 × 106 and 1.63 × 109 cm-2, respectively, indicative of high single crystallinity. The out-ofplane and in-plane epitaxial relationships are [0001] α-Ga2O3//[0001] α-Al2O3 and [11-20] α-Ga2O3//[11-20] α-Al2O3, respectively.The lateral domain size is in micron scale and the indirect bandgap is determined as 5.03 eV by transmittance spectra. Raman measurement indicates that the lattice-mismatch induced compressive residual strain cannot be ruled out despite the large thickness of the α-Ga2O3 epilayer.
