| 2 | Discrimination of Motor Imagery Patterns by Electroencephalogram Phase Synchronization Combined With Frequency Band Energy显示文摘Central nerve signal evoked by thoughts can be directly used to control a robot or prosthetic devices without the involvement of the peripheral nerve and muscles.This is a new strategy of human-computer interaction.A method of electroencephalogram(EEG) phase synchronization combined with band energy was proposed to construct a feature vector for pattern recognition of brain-computer interaction based on EEG induced by motor imagery in this paper,rhythm and beta rhythm were first extracted from EEG by band pass filter and then the frequency band energy was calculated by the sliding time window;the instantaneous phase values were obtained using Hilbert transform and then the phase synchronization feature was calculated by the phase locking value(PLV) and the best time interval for extracting the phase synchronization feature was searched by the distribution of the PLV value in the time domain.Finally,discrimination of motor imagery patterns was performed by the support vector machine(SVM).The results showed that the phase synchronization feature more effective in4s-7s and the correct classification rate was 91.4%.Compared with the results achieved by a single EEG feature related to motor imagery,the correct classification rate was improved by 3.5 and4.3 percentage points by combining phase synchronization with band energy.These indicate that the proposed method is effective and it is expected that the study provides a way to improve the performance of the online real-time brain-computer interaction control system based on EEG related to motor imagery. | Chuanwei Liu Yunfa Fu Jun Yang Xin Xiong Huiwen Sun Zhengtao Yu | 2017 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2017,4,3: | 3 |
| 3 | Rice FLOURY ENDOSPERM22, encoding a pentatricopeptide repeat protein, is involved in both mitochondrial RNA splicing and editing and is crucial for endosperm development显示文摘Most of the reported P-type pentatricopeptide repeat(PPR) proteins play roles in organelle RNA stabilization and splicing. However, P-type PPRs involved in both RNA splicing and editing have rarely been reported, and their underlying mechanism remains largely unknown. Here, we report a rice floury endosperm22(flo22) mutant with delayed amyloplast development in endosperm cells. Map-based cloning and complementation tests demonstrated that FLO22 encodes a mitochondrion-localized P-type PPR protein.Mutation of FLO22 resulting in defective transsplicing of mitochondrial nad1 intron 1 and perhaps causing instability of mature transcripts affected assembly and activity of complex Ⅰ, and mitochondrial morphology and function. RNA-seq analysis showed that expression levels of many genes involved in starch and sucrose metabolism were significantly down-regulated in the flo22mutant compared with the wild type, whereas genes related to oxidative phosphorylation and the tricarboxylic acid cycle were significantly upregulated. In addition to involvement in splicing as a P-type PPR protein, we found that FLO22 interacted with DYW3, a DYW-type PPR protein, and they may function synergistically in mitochondrial RNA editing. | 9 | Thermal shock of subsurface material with plastic flow during scuffing显示文摘The thermal shock of subsurface material with shear instability and severe plastic flow during scuffing was investigated.The scuffing damage of M50 steel was tested using a high-speed rolling-sliding contact test rig,and the transient temperature during scuffing was calculated using the Fourier transform method considering the effects of both frictional heat and plastic work.The results show that a thermal shock with a rapid rise and subsequent rapid decrease in the contact temperature is generated in the subsurface layers.The frictional power intensity generates a high temperature rise,leading to the austenitization of the subsurface material.Consequently,the plastic flow is generated in the subsurface layer under the high shear stress,and the resulting plastic strain energy generates a further temperature increase.Subsequently,a rapid decrease in the contact temperature quenches the material,resulting in clear shear slip bands and retained austenite in the subsurface layers of the M50 steel. | Chuanwei ZHANG Han ZHAI Dong SUN Dezhi ZHENG Xiaoli ZHAO Le GU Liqin WANG | 2023 | Friction2023,11,1: | 0 |
